Chapter 44 - The Message

Milo, Ashido, Midoriya, Sunshine, Jiro, and Joshua all made their way to Toru Hagakure's room. Matthew had gone to get Hagakure, and the two returned to her room. There, the group of seven asked to speak to her in private, in her room. Hagakure agreed to let them in, and upon entering, the American students found it somewhat shocking, adorable, and endearing about how girly Hagakure's room was.

With the group having made sure that nobody was listening, and closing the door, Joshua told Hagakure what he had told the others. Because he told it before, it made it a lot easier to tell it now. At first, Hagakure was both shocked and scared about Joshua's reason for being at U.A. But after he told her his origins, and how he now wanted to be good, she became teary-eyed, like how most girls would be after watching a tragically romantic movie. If they were all honest, they all found Hagakure's sweetness rather endearing. Then they told her the plan…

"You want me to do what?!" Hagakure asked, her tone surprised.

"We need you to go 'full invisible', slip a note in your mouth, sneak into the principal's office, drop the note on Nezu's desk, get 'un-invisible', and then head back to class." Matthew replied. "Simple and easy, and Sunshine will be with you when you go."

"We wouldn't be asking if we didn't have to." Sunshine added. "But your the perfect one for the job, considering your quirk. And, we're doing for this for Joshua, because if he's found out, he could end up in a lot of trouble…"

"Come on… please, Hagakure?" asked Joshua, his tone kind. "Please… Toru?"

Hagakure let out a guilty sounding moan, then sighed and replied, "Oh, alright… I'll do it for you, Joshua."

"Thank you, Hagakure!" said Joshua, his tone grateful. "I owe you one!"

Suddenly, a yelp was heard, followed by a loud thumping noise. After a few seconds, a knock was heard on the door, and Matthew went to answer it. He found, to his surprise, Mineta lying unconscious against the door; he was eavesdropping! Upon closer inspection, Matthew found a note taped to Mineta's face, which read 'DON'T WORRY, I WIPED HIS MEMORY - JUST GET HIM BACK IN HIS BED BEFORE HE WAKES UP! YOUR GOOD FRIEND, EON'.

"What was that?" asked Midoriya.

"Looks like we had a spy, that's what." Matthew replied, slipping the note in his pocket.

Joshua came over and, upon seeing Mineta, growled out, "The little sneak! He better not tell, or I'm going to stomp all over him until he's nothing but wine!"

"Don't worry about it." Matthew replied, his tone quiet. "Our dear friend with the 'Divinity' quirk wiped his memory."

"Oh…" said Joshua, a sly smile on his face. "Thank goodness…"

"We'd better get him back in bed, though, before he wakes up."

"Good idea; let's adjourn this meeting and go do that."

Matthew dragged Mineta into Hagakure's room, while Joshua closed the door. After adjourning the meeting, Joshua was about to take Mineta back to his room, but a funny idea came into his mind. He told everyone to wait, and then left. When he returned, he had a black permanent marker with him. After a couple of minutes, everyone left Hagakure's room laughing, while Joshua took Mineta back to his room. Mineta was now sporting Groucho eyebrows, a large handlebar mustache, and a goatee, all drawn with permanent ink.

For the second time in his life, Joshua had a peaceful sleep. There were no dreams, no worries, nothing disturbed him. When he awoke at six in the morning on Saturday, he actually felt refreshed and invigorated. He then had breakfast, along with the rest of his classmates, who had noticed the change in his attitude. He was more positive, laughed at jokes, and was more fun to be around! Though the students of Class 1-A wondered why he was like that, only the seven that had talked with him last night knew why.

Everyone also had a good laugh when Mineta woke up late, now sporting permeant marker facial hair. He unfortunately had to miss breakfast, as he spent a long while in the bathroom, trying to wash it off. But, Sunshine had pity on him, and she saved him some breakfast to eat on the go, when the students were leaving Heights Alliance. For that, Mineta was grateful, and decided not to be a womanizer towards her (for once) as a sign of gratitude.

The Class 1-A students arrived at U.A, where they headed for their classroom for homeroom. After homeroom was over, the eight put their plan into action! Considering that it was Saturday, they only had until lunch to complete their plan, so they had to hurry!

While they were walking to language arts, Matthew slipped Sunshine the note, which told about the attack. It was wrapped in plastic wrap, as to prevent it from getting soggy while in Hagakure's mouth.

Hagakure and Sunshine then went into the girl's bathroom, where Hagakure went fully invisible. She then slipped the note into her mouth, and made her way out of the bathroom.

After a couple of minutes of walking down the halls, she came to the principal's office. The door opened, and All Might and Principal Nezu walked out, to which Hagakure slipped in. She then took the note out of her mouth, unwrapped the plastic wrap from it, and then left in on Nezu's desk. She was about to throw away the plastic wrap into a waste container, but considering it had her saliva on it, they could probably trace her. So, she decided to keep it and get rid of it some other time.

Hagakure wrapped the plastic wrap into a little ball, and then put it back into her mouth. After she did that, she slipped out of the principal's office, made her way down the halls, and came back to the girl's bathroom. There, Sunshine was waiting for her.

"Did you do it?" Sunshine asked.

"Yep, I left it there." Hagakure replied, her voice somewhat muffled, as she pulled the ball of plastic wrap out of her mouth.

Hagakure then went 'un-invisible', as Matthew put it, and she and Sunshine left the bathroom. They then headed for language arts class, and gave an excuse to Present Mic, who was teaching the class, about why they were not there on time. Afterwards, they sat down at their desks, and Present Mic continued the class.

"Did she do it?" Matthew whispered to Sunshine, as she passed.

"She did it." Sunshine whispered back, before heading to her desk.

"Good." Matthew replied.

Sunshine sat her desk, and the lesson continued as normal. As Present Mic was talking, Joshua looked over at Matthew, who gave him a thumbs up. A smile spread across Joshua's face, and then he continued listening to the language arts class.

Before lunchtime, and school being let out early, an announcement was made for Class 1-A and Class 1-B to head back to their classes. All students, including the Americans, headed back to their respected classrooms, where their respected teachers were waiting for them.

Class 1-A returned to their classroom, where Aizawa was standing at his desk.

"Don't bother taking your seats, this will be quick." Aizawa spoke, his tone bored as usual. "Principal Nezu returned to his office, where he found a note on his desk. The note said that there's going to be a villain attack at Zoo Dreamland tomorrow. We don't know if whoever left this note is telling the truth, but it's best to assume the worst. So there's bad news and good news; the bad news is, we will not be going to Zoo Dreamland tomorrow."

An audible groan was heard from most of the students, but Aizawa raised his hand to silence them. The only student that didn't groan were the eight that had enacted the secret plan, as they were relieved that they, and their classmates, would be kept safe from the villains.

"Here's the good news." Aizawa replied. "The money from Justice High to buy the passes has been sent to us. Instead of using it to go to Zoo Dreamland, we'll be going to a rock concert that's going to take place at the Hosu City Stadium."

This time, an audible cheer came from the students, including the eight who had enacted the secret plan. Letting out a groan of his own, Aizawa raised his hand to silence his students again.

"So, again, we'll be going Sunday afternoon, and we'll meet at U.A and board the buses to go to it." Aizawa spoke up. "As I have told you many times, you are all supposed to be on your best behavior; you are all students of U.A, so act like it. Now go to lunch…"

"Yes sir!" All students replied in unison.

The students of Class 1-A then left their classroom, all chattering excitedly about going to the rock concert. Class 1-B was also leaving their classroom as well, and they stopped to chat with Class 1-A. Unfortunately, Peter and Monoma were back, and they sported reminders of their sparring matches against Bakugo and Matthew; bandaged wounds, bruises, healing cuts, and Peter was now bald, the burnt remnants of his mohawk having to be shaved off.

"So, what did Class 1-A do this time, that they had to ruin our trip to Zoo Dreamland?" Monoma asked, his tone prideful.

Matthew groaned and replied in annoyed tone, "For your information, Monoma, the principal found a note on his desk telling there was going to be a villain attack. I don't know why you have to-"

"You shut your trap, you weakling!" Peter roared. "I'm going to rip your head off for what you did to Monoma!"

"Back off, Ham-hands!" Bakugo yelled, getting in front of Matthew, who stepped back.

"As for you, you smoldering pile of waste, I'm going to get you back for burning off my mohawk, if it's the last thing I do!"

"I'd like to see you try! Let's get it on, right here and now!"

"I'm going to beat you so bad that-"

THWACK!

Small blue birds appeared above Peter's head, as he let out a dizzy groan and collapsed to the ground, right in front of Bakugo. Bakugo, Matthew, and Monoma all looked and, to their surprise, saw Ralphie, carrying a cartoonishly large mallet!

"Always wanted to do that." said Ralphie.

"You're not going to hit me with that hammer." Monoma spoke, his tone smug. "I'm part of Class 1-B, same as you; we're on the same side."

"Your right, I'm not going to hit you with that hammer." Ralphie replied, stuffing the mallet back in his pocket. "But she will."

"Who?"

THWACK!

Little yellow stars appeared above Monoma's head, and he let out a dizzy groan and fell to the ground. This time, Kendo appeared, carrying a cartoonishly large mallet of her own.

"Hey, that was fun." said Kendo, handing the mallet back to Ralphie. "Thanks for letting me use this."

"You're welcome." Ralphie replied, his tone gentlemanly, as he put the second mallet in his pocket.

After lunch, school was let out for the rest of the day. Hagakure's request, as payment for her sneaking the note into the principal's office, was to be treated for a night on the town. So, after getting back to the Class 1-A Heights Alliance, the eight who knew of the secret plan, changed out of their school uniforms. Then, in order to let some time go by, they all did some everyday activities. Finally, around evening, they got together again for their night on the town! In a way, the group of eight were celebrating a victory; they had saved Joshua from having to go back to being a villain, and Class 1-A and Class 1-B from destruction!

The group of students that were going out consisted of Milo, Ashido, Midoriya, Sunshine, Jiro, Joshua, Matthew, and Hagakure. They also invited Ojiro, Uraraka, Kaminari, Murdock, Todoroki, and Yaoyaorozu to join, which they accepted. Afterwards, the fourteen students went over to the Class 1-B Heights Alliance, where Shiozaki, Kendo, Yusuf, and Tokage joined them. Now a group of eighteen students, they headed out for a night of 'true fun and high adventure', as Murdock put it.

At night, the city lights began turning on, giving off a wondrous, and somewhat enchanting, glow to the atmosphere. The group made their way through the streets, chatting with each other over going to the rock concert, and other various topics that came to mind. As the group walked together through the city, they first stopped a karaoke bar to get something to eat. Not only was the food good, but the students also took turns singing karaoke. While most of the students didn't exactly sing pretty well, some of them, such as Joshua and Jiro, proved to be a hit with the crowd!

After eating, the group went out and attended a kabuki play. It was quite interesting, as it was a love story between two people who were on different sides. In a way, it was a lot like Romeo and Juliet. After the show, the group walked around the park for a little bit. It was a warm spring night, and the group split up into groups of four. Though, there had to be six people in one group, as there was only eighteen people.

One group consisted of Milo, Ashido, Joshua, and Jiro. Considering they all knew about Joshua's origins, they were free to discuss it without any retribution from those who didn't know. But just to be safe, they chose a secluded spot so they could talk about it, which was a group of rocks where they could sit and talk. Because, if they were to be honest, Milo, Ashido, and Jiro were curious about what it was like, and what Joshua learned.

"So, were there any other kids?" asked Milo, his tone calm, as he didn't want to sound like he was pressuring Joshua. "I mean, kids who were brought up like you were?"

"I don't know; I never met any." Joshua replied nonchalantly. "Over in America, things were a little different; we didn't really have alliances, or villain groups. Over there, villains would be divided most of the time. Sure, there were those that teamed up, but those partnerships never lasted long. My father and I were loners, meaning we would go from place to place, and never really side with anyone. But, of course, if someone was willing to pay a price, we would do anything…"

"Sounds like a horrible way to grow up." said Jiro, her tone saddened, yet compassionate.

"Actually, it wasn't all that bad…" Joshua replied. But after a few seconds he added, "Okay, so it was all that bad. But, there were those moments where things were 'good' in my life."

"Oh?" Ashido asked. "How so?"

"Going to new places, meeting new people. Of course, I would know them for a few days and then move on, but it was still fun. Plus, lots of traveling, staying in hotels, stuff like that. And people were nice to me, even though they didn't know I was 'Death Wish II'."

"That was going to be your villain name?" asked Milo.

"Yeah, taken after my father." Joshua replied. "But that's no more. From now on, I'm going to be 'Feral Unleashed', and I'm going to be a good guy."

"Glad to hear that." said Jiro, kissing Joshua on the cheek.

Joshua turned somewhat red, which made Milo chuckle and Ashido giggle. After they had a good laugh at that, they all were silent for a few seconds.

"So, how are we going to break this to the other students?" asked Joshua. "That I'm the son of a villain?"

"That… I don't know." Milo replied.

"Me neither." Ashido added.

"Same…" Jiro added.

"I guess that's something to think about…" said Joshua. "But, no matter."

The four then continued chatting, before getting up and reuniting with their group. Things were definitely going to be good; Joshua was no longer under his father's control, and he was well on his way to becoming a hero. Absolutely nothing could go wrong…

Or so they thought…
