Kim Possible: Vamped

"Ronald, come in," Shego said as she heard the knock while washing dishes after their meal. "I've been expecting you. Well, Kim has," she smirked.

"Is she in?"

"Out in the back," Shego said as Yori glanced around before sliding in the door, and kept Shego between her and anyone that might be out there.

"You guys are acting…."

"We got an odd call from Agent Du," Ron said and Shego didn't miss that both of them were wearing full ninja gear.

"I'll bet. So you came to get Kim's side?"

"I felt it best since we did not wish to anger Possible-San if she is she moving on her own again," Yori pointed out.

"Smart lady," Shego grinned. "Come on in. I was about to put on Kimmie's tea. You like any?"

"I would, thank you," Yori nodded as she only then removed her mask.

"No, thanks. I'm still not into it that much," she admitted. "Juice?"

"Apple or mango?"

"Apple," Ron said with an odd look.

"Right. I'll call in the girls and get your drinks. Don't worry, she has been expecting you."

"So, something is going on," Ron asked.

"I'll let her explain it. Frankly, I'm still too furious after hearing just half of what she found tonight."

"So, something is going on," Ron nodded.

"Trust me, Stoppable, you're not going to like it either. Not one bit."

Ron scowled as Shego went to the back door to shout, "Hey, Princess. Tea's ready if you're finished tearing up the landscaping."

"Hey," Kim's voice was heard sputtering. "We were not…."

Shego shut the door.

"You know, she really has not changed a bit. She might be…waking up and growing up more than she had before while she was still a little Pollyanna, but she is still the same," Shego told them as they sat at the table while Shego poured cold juice in a cup before setting out several mugs. One with coffee. Two with tea. Another with cocoa.

"The kid likes my homemade cocoa," Shego told Yori who eyed the cup. "Can't seem to get enough of it."

"That does seem oddly….ordinary for her."

"That's because you don't live with those two nuts. Trust me, they're both crazy even if they are…."

"Yeah?"

"I'm thinking," Shego said, and handed Yori a mug of steaming tea next before she put the other mugs at empty places.

Just as Kim and Dana, flushed and grinning came in, and laughed.

"Told you," she told the young blonde.

"Ah, man. I thought for sure…."

"What now," Shego asked knowingly.

"I dared her to guess who had come over," Kim grinned, winking at Ron. "She only detected Ron. She missed you, Yori," the redhead told her.

"Ron-San has not trained as long as I at remaining undetected, Dana-San," she told her with a smile as she stirred honey into her tea."

"Man. Can I help it if you got all A's in those inscrutable lessons," Ron sputtered.

"Different class, Ron," Kim told him as Yori only smiled. "I think it's the fact you still have a strong odor of certain cheeses and spice, while Yori doesn't have the same….presence."

"Are you saying I stink," Ron gaped.

"Still leaving Rufus at home with Hana?"

"Well, she wanted a pet," Ron sighed, "And mom and dad felt better a recycled one than finding a new one he could tolerate. You know, with his allergies."

"Recycled," Shego echoed, staring at him as if eyeing a clown. And hating clowns.

"You know Ron, Shego. So, let me guess," she said as she sat, sniffed her tea, and sipped before sighing and nodding at Shego. "Thanks. It's perfect."

"You drink tea now," Ron noted.

"I have developed a taste for it," she admitted. "Anyway, GJ called you, didn't they?"

"Will Du did. Only he sounded….weird. You know, even for him. You really quit?"

"Trust me, Ron, because you're about to quit, too."

"I am?"

"You are. It's going to be expected. Let me start at the beginning. When figured out one of GJ's experts was trying to play us again," she told him.

"Again," Ron groaned.

"Only I found out it was more than what we realized," Kim said as they all sipped from their drinks as Shego sat watching them without saying a word.

Kim went on to again explain all she had learned from Dr. Kolowski, and what it meant for them. Ron looked stunned at the start, but the more he listened, the more his expression turned to one of anger.

"So, the very people supposedly helping are really bad guys," he complained as Kim finished the explanation.

"Exactly. I stormed out, which I would have done anyway, and now Betty will undoubtedly be approached to try to deal with us. Only I'm going to make a show of quitting missions to do some research. Maybe some inventing."

"A show," Ron asked doubtfully.

"I do have a doctorate now, Ron," she reminded him.

"Yeah, but KP, you're about as nine-to-five as…."

"Oh, I won't be doing nine-to-five. I'll be doing top-secret, super private research. In my basement. Where no one can see me," she smirked.

"Okay. So what will you really be doing?"

"Tearing that self-righteous bunch of hypocrites a new one. So, how will you play it, monkey-boy? They have to know you still back Kimmie even now, so what are you going to do?"

"This is….complicated," he sighed. "So, what about Wade, and Dr. Director. How…?"

"Dr. Director knows the plan, and she will try to help. Only she's held back by rules and regulations even she won't, or can't break. Wade and I don't have that issue."

"And I sure don't," Dana smirked over the brim of her cup.

"Wait, you're in this, too?"

"I'll keep working at GJ so I can keep my ears open for anyone trying to sneak in and sucker us again."

"That is quite clever," Yori declared. "So, the question is, how will Ron-San and I fit in? Do we make an overt stand with you, or do we stay with Director-Sama, and play cautious and wary champions who are uncertain of your true intentions?"

"Actually, that's pretty smart, too," Dana told her.

"Hai," Yori nodded. "So, which will better serve your purposes, Kimberly-San," Yori asked her respectfully.

Kim eyed her, Ron, and then nodded.

"Tell Dr. Director, in her likely bugged office, that you are worried about what I might be doing if I quit so suddenly. Offer to continue keeping an eye on me, and so cover yourself if you're seen around me any time soon. That keeps you close to GJ, too, and your presence there won't be deemed suspicious either."

"You don't think they might not still try to use Dana against you, though? I mean, if she's working….?"

"I almost count on it," Kim said with a sly smirk.

"So, you're setting a trap-trap," Ron declared.

"Sure, Stoppable. Whatever you say," Shego said, rolling her eyes. "The point is, you can't actually get in the way. Understand? These jerks are due for serious accounting."

"Oh, I understand, and I support you. The thought they could toss away so many lives just for a little power and money…."

"That's where we are," Kim cut him off. "So, can we count on you, Ronald," she asked quietly.

"This is for Monique, isn't it? You're not finished avenging her."

"Not until the last one responsible pays," Kim said so coldly that Ron felt he could literally feel the chill in the air around her.

"I'm in. Monique was my friend, too, and she should not have had to go out like that. No one should," Ron said. "I'm in."

"Good. Stick to the script…."

"Script," he frowned.

"I'll explain later," Yori told him with a faint smile. "Best we go now. We don't want to be seen staying too long if someone did notice us."

"And watch your own backs, Ron," Kim told him earnestly now as they all stood up. "Remember, they set us both up to die back then. If you suddenly get in the way again, you can bet they'll be aiming at you again. At the moment, I've having Wade backtrack our missions from back then, and find out what set them off so badly they tried to end us. I figure we'll start there."

Ronald gave her one of his serious looks and nodded.

"We'll use Wade to pass on anything you may need to know," he told her. "That way, no one sees us visiting anytime soon since we don't want to appear….on your side."

"That would be best," Kim nodded. "Just be careful. And remember, these people don't care about who they hurt or kill. So watch your family, too."

"We might wish to alert Master-Sensei, Ron-San. It seems his warning there was more going on than we had yet seen has become more than real."

"It usually does," Ron sighed. "Let's go," he agreed, though, and they pulled on their masks before slipping out the back door into the darkness beyond.

"So, we're waiting on Wade."

"And giving me time to set up my alibi," Kim smiled. "I think having the Tweebs come over, and deliver certain equipment for my new basement lab should help sell any watchers on my new plan."

"Just don't let them blow anything up," Shego scowled.

"They're only going to bring me what I need…."

"And don't you blow up anything," Shego added.

"I wouldn't…."

"I saw what you did to the microwave in the GJ cafeteria before you left," Shego cut her off.

"That was an accident," Kim blustered.

"Right. So no accidents in this house while I'm present."

"I think you just enjoy pushing," Kim glowered at her now.

"I'm told its part of my charm," Shego smirked at her.

"Someone lied to you."

Kim stormed off to the back as Shego only smiled after her.

"You're not afraid of her."

"Of course not."

"I wasn't asking. I'm just saying, you're really not afraid of her. I think that is why she's so relaxed around you. Even Ron is uneasy around her. Everyone is it seems. Only you treat her….the same as you must have all along. I think she likes that, Shego."

"I know," Shego said, nodding at her as she stood only then to gather the last of the dirty mugs to put into the dishwasher. "And she needs that, or she will self-combust. Just watch your back out there, squirt. If they still think they can use you, they will. You know that now."

"I know. Only Kim is giving me more lessons on standing up for myself. Hopefully," she said as she turned to look after Kim, "I won't freeze up next time someone's life is in my hands."

"Let it go, kiddo. You did what you could, and you did your best. We all know it. Just focus on now, because we can't relive the past. Trust me, if we could, I'd have changed a lot of things," Shego admitted. Then she murmured, "And so would Kimmie."

Dana said nothing to that.
