Chapter 32
Jack and Amara watched and fought as Ben was able to get Meg and start to head in their direction. Meg was too weak to fight Ben on their direction but still she yelled at Ben to help him. Ben turned to her yelling into her ear to be heard
"Castiel was adamant when he said get you to safety" he paused then continued
"I will not let him down, nor do I want to tell a pissed off Angel I let his wife face danger."
He gave a barely heard sigh
"Please Meg, don't make me choose. It is all I can do to get you to safety knowing what I know"
Meg kept moving towards the exit that Jack, Amaran and the three hunters were holding. He knew Meg would want answers but, right now getting her out was his task at hand.
As they reached Jack and Amara, they all turned, watching as Castiel Danced around Susan and other Leviathan. When he moved it was with the grace of a ballroom dancer, his blade taking head after head as he moved.
As Meg watched she saw his Grace shining through his wounds trying to heal them. It was happening slowly, like he was rationing how much he used. It was then she realized he was setting the trap. Get as many Leviathan to the center of the warehouse as possible and that included Susan.
As Ben and Meg approached Amara turned to the hunters with them it was then she noticed that Rowena was missing.
"Where's the Witch?" she yelled. The Mark on her chest was glowing, it needed to kill but it would not be these Hunters.
"She went up the stairs to the roof" Answered the closest Hunter.
Amara knew something was up but did not question Rowena's plans.
"Protect these Stairs" was all she said.
"Jack you take Ben, I have Meg"
And with that they disappeared from the warehouse to show up outside where the rest of the Hunters were Finishing off any Leviathan that were left.
"Take them to the meeting place Jack." Amara said.
"The Mark needs to Kill" and with that she joined the rest of the Hunters killing any Chompers she could.
Once at the boulders overlooking the warehouse Meg turned to Ben
"What did you mean 'knowing what you know'" Meg demanded. Her eyes were full of concern and fire.
Ben knew better than to lie or avoid answering her questions.
"I don't think he plans to survive this." He said lowering his head. He couldn't face her.
Meg turned to run back to the warehouse but, with the snap of his fingers Jack stopped her.
"Please Meg don't let his sacrifice be for nothing" Jack said.
Meg saw tears in his eyes as she realized Jack might also lose the Angel that raised him. She opened her arms and let him seek his comfort from her. Holding Jack was the only thing that kept her from going insane with worry. But still, she could not take her eyes from the warehouse.
