Went back to work or else this chapter would have been posted like two days ago, was only able to write a few lines the past few days, days off start now. Good news is that its part time so I won't have to work all the time and will be able to still write a good amount in a month. Happy December everyone!

This chapter is I think the toughest one for our lovely ladies, you can tell from the beginning of this chapter it is going to be a bumpy ride. Hope you guys who review and those of you who don't are still enjoying it. It doesn't feel like I started this story five months ago.

Over the next few days Maura and Jane both haven't been sleeping very well, they had to watch out for their safety all the time and they had to finalize the funeral arrangements for Camille. They even had that person coming today to make sure the twins were in a safe living environment. Frankie hated that he had to tell them how they couldn't even find Jasmine Fischer's whereabouts, it was like she vanished and nobody was telling him anything. He honestly didn't know who to trust, and Jane was losing her patience with the whole thing.

Jane and Maura never left each other's sides, only if Jane had to go to work but Maura always had someone around family wise, the only people that she could trust right about now. They promised they'd tell the twins about how they would be their legal guardians after the house got looked over to make sure everything was set before dropping that news on them. Luckily enough Tommy had finished the guest house bathroom so that wouldn't be a problem.

The kids were currently in the living room, watching some cartoons. Tomorrow was the funeral so they thought distracting them from that would be the best idea. She sat in the dining room with Maura sipping at her tea Cailin made for them. "I really wish she wasn't messing with us, that I wouldn't have to worry about everyone's safety. I just want to have some peaceful sleep again," Jane sighed. "The silence is what has me concerned. I just want all of this to be over."

Maura nodded her head in agreement, "Maybe someone got to her before she'd gotten to us. It seems like something Paddy would help take care of, but honestly how much could he get done from prison."

"Honestly Maura, I kind of wish that I didn't bring him back to prison, this could have all been over by now. If anyone knows how to beat a psychopath it's Paddy. That's still something to get used to, wishing Paddy could help us defeat the evil coming for us."

Maura raised the cup of tea to her lips. "Never thought I would agree with a criminal's way of thinking. But he has helped out a couple of times."

Jane nodded, the upset feeling in her stomach hasn't really gone away, but it was more than the case that left her feeling completely helpless, "Before that woman comes to inspect our house I think I'm going to call Frost and see if he has any updates."

Maura sighed at her wife, "Jane, I know you want answers but you called Frankie only an hour ago."

"I have to be persistent Maura, you know that. What if something has happened to my brother and he couldn't get in touch with me?" she got up from the table. "We're dealing with another psychopathic person Maura, one that might actually be more dangerous than Hoyt. I hate just sitting around," she rubbed at her hands as she pulled her phone from her pocket, dialing Frost's number. "Hey Frost, tell me that there's some sort of development," Jane spoke as she went outside in the back.

Maura placed her cup of tea down, placing her face in the palm of her hands in frustration. This whole thing was taking a toll on her and Jane, all Maura wanted was for Jane to go back to normal, she felt guilty for thinking it, but Jane has gotten obsessed over the whole thing. It was definitely worse than the whole Hoyt situation, she wasn't sure how to bring the Jane back she got to experience on their honeymoon. She hardly ever wished she could go back in time, but she wanted to get her relaxed wife back. Maura hoped that it came sooner than later. Maura's thoughts were interrupted when Jane came back to sit down with a scowl on her face. "I take it that there isn't any new information?"

"None at all, I don't think I can take it much longer. The waiting game, I want to act, I want to finish the whole damn thing."

"Maybe this is what she wants Jane, to destroy you, have you feeling this anger and hopelessness, in her mind she thinks she's winning because she has this control over you. She knows how to get to you and I don't like it. Frankie and Frost can handle it, at least until we know her whereabouts or she tries to contact one of us," Maura sighed. "We've both been losing sleep over this, but maybe we should spend our time focusing on the other things in our life."

"She doesn't have control over me Maura, even if she wasn't after you I would be concerned about not hearing anything new going on, just like any other case. Your life and career are on the line though, I can't just let it go. I made a promise to protect you, and that's what I'm doing."

"But you're letting it get to you, I am protected being here with you. I just don't want this whole thing to continue tearing you apart on the inside, seeing you like this breaks my heart."

"You know what breaks my heart, not getting any sleep because when I actually fall asleep all I dream about is you being murdered and it just keeps getting worse the longer this whole thing lasts. And it's not going to go away," she pushed herself up from the table, "So forgive me if I can't stop focusing on the fact that I could end up losing you, that I could lose you at any moment in time if I'm not completely up to date on everything!"

Maura was surprised at Jane's outburst, she noticed the twins and Cailin look at them concerned about what's going on. "Jane, can we please talk about this outside?" she asked in a whisper. Jane frowned, not saying a word as she headed outside, with Maura in tow. She leaned against the wall, just waiting for Maura to speak whatever was on her mind. "Why didn't you let me know you were having these kinds of dreams," she looked directly into Jane's eyes.

"I didn't want to worry you."

She sighed, "You're not in this situation alone, we're a team Jane, at least that's what I thought. I don't really appreciate you treating me like I'm fragile, I've handled a lot of horrible things these past couple of years. I was open to you when I had those dreams of Hoyt haunting me, and we were able to work it out together. Not being completely honest with me, it's no wonder why you're so aggitated. It doesn't help to keep stuff bottled in, you remember that fight we had before we got together, it turned into this big argument something I could tell you had been holding in for a while."

"Maura, that's different, it wasn't a life or death situation, neither of our lives were in danger then. Everything is different now."

"Us being honest with each other shouldn't change Jane," she crossed her arms. "You're so focused on protecting me but you won't let me protect you. You need to let me in Jane, you need to not let this destroy a good thing going for you," she frowned, stepping closer, lifting her hand to rest it on her cheek. "I'm afraid of losing you too, if you haven't noticed." Maura knew what was going on in Jane's mind as a tear slid down her cheek. She felt the tension in Jane's jaw lighten slightly.

"I'm sorry."

Maura nodded, stepping as close as she could to Jane, "I know. It's just something you seem to forget a lot, that you aren't alone anymore. That you have me and you always will. Seeing you like this destroys me."

Jane pulled her close, and kissed the top of her head, "I really am sorry Maura, for my outburst. I'm trying to keep my cool I just, everything is falling apart. I'm trying all that I can to protect the ones who are still here because I couldn't do more to save Camille."

Maura sighed against Jane's chest, before pulling away to look at her, "I think all this pain is getting to you, it's understandable I wish I could promise you that everything will be okay, but we both know that it's not. All I can promise is that we'll do all of this together, we are not alone anymore. I was thinking the day after tomorrow is a Red Sox game why don't us and the twins go and maybe Cailin would want to join. We all could use some distractions."

Jane nodded her head, "Yeah that sounds nice, I'll try not to focus on real life stuff while we're there," she kissed Maura's cheek. "I know I say this all the time, but I'm lucky to have you in my life. And I'm sorry for not letting you in about the dreams. They really do get worse."

"You know I never tire of hearing it, the feeling is very mutual. I find myself quite surprised that I haven't had dreams of my demise, I only have dreams of you protecting me or Jasmine getting what she deserves," Maura rested her hands against Jane's hips. "If you have anymore of those dreams, you can always feel free to cuddle me tighter, I won't mind these strong arms around me more often," she spoke softly as she brushed her fingers gently up Jane's arms, until one of her hands slowly caressed Jane's strong jaw.

Jane felt chills run up and down her spine at Maura's soft touch, she closed her eyes starting to feel herself get more relaxed. Maura smiled at Jane's reaction, she stood up on her toes and pressed a kiss softly against Jane's lips. Jane moaned softly, one of her own hands taking hers, squeezing her fingers. "We should go inside," she spoke in a soft whisper.

Maura pulled away licking her lips, "I don't mind staying out here, plus we have kids to think about now. And I don't think we should go and invade Cailin's room. I think this is the perfect place to be," she pressed her lips gently against her jawline.

"Maura," Jane groaned, "I didn't mean to do that... I meant we should go inside before that woman comes."

Maura frowned as she stopped kissing Jane's warm skin. "Oh..."

"Hey, don't pout," Jane licked her lips. "There's always time to let me hold you with my strong arms later."

"Whatever you think is best," she shrugged nonchalantly and started to head back inside. Jane groaned knowing Maura did that on purpose, knowing that she couldn't resist, so she grabbed Maura by the hand, turning her around to pull her into a passionate kiss. Jane could feel Maura smile against her lips, she couldn't help but rest her hands on Maura's ass as she picked her up, pressing her up against the wall. Maura smirked pretty pleased with getting Jane's mind off of the tough facts of life for a moment.

The moment only lasted a few seconds before Cailin popped her head out of the door. "Um, that lady is here to look at the house, thought you should know," she disappeared as quickly as she came.

Jane frowned placing her wife back on the ground, "I don't know how long Cailin will want to stay with us if she keeps on walking in on us in some pretty compromising positions."

Maura nodded, "It definitely is quite the mood killer," she adjusted herself and grabbed Jane's hand walking back inside the house.

When they got inside there was a woman talking to the kids, "So, do you guys like living here?" she asked, kneeling so she was at their level.

"Yeah, we stayed here with mama while they went on their honeymoom to house sit," Kate smiled.

"I like how it has stairs and Maura has nice books," Todd shrugged. "And they have a really cool pet tortoise, wanna see it?"

She smiled at them and nodded, "I'll make sure to see the tortoise when I look at the house."

The woman finally noticed that Maura and Jane had walked into the house, she stood up and introduced herself. "I'm Laura Rubinstein, I was just getting acquainted with the kids, they seem smart."

"That they are," Jane nodded proudly as the twins went to resume watching cartoons with Cailin. "I'm Jane and this is my wife Maura, would you like some tea while you were here? Maura has a knack for making great tea."

"Of course, I did want to discuss some things with you, if you don't mind," she looked at Jane who turned to Maura.

"Any kind of tea that you would prefer, I have quite a selection of teas," Maura asked Laura.

"Anything you have will suffice, I'm definitely not the picky type."

Maura disappeared into the kitchen to make tea and Jane walked with Laura in the dining room. "So what did you want to discuss?"

"Well I was curious about your career and how it could affect the safety of the children in the household," she sat down and Jane sighed, sitting across from her.

"My weapon is locked up and I don't really take it out in the house, it's just as a precaution."

"I don't mean to be rude, but I heard stories and read the news of a few situations dealing with you and being in danger. I know you wouldn't want anything to harm the children, I'm just trying to make sure that this is the best place for them to live. What I seen of the house already seems pretty safe and clean, but how long will they feel safe here?" she asked, nodding her thanks as Maura brought the tea over to them.

"I love those kids as if they were my own, I would make sure any sort of danger or trouble stays out of my personal life," Jane's jaw was tense as Maura sat down beside her, resting her hand on Jane's thigh.

"I just have to ask these questions, I don't mean anything by them."

"I would do anything I needed to protect those kids, whatever it takes to protect any one I truly love and care about. That won't be a problem keeping them safe," Jane told her and Laura jotted down some notes.

"Well, I would love to see the rest of your house and then the guest house," she took another sip of Maura's tea. "This is great tea by the way," she stood up as did Jane and Maura.

They showed Laura around for about a half an hour, she asked them questions and they ended back in the living room, she went over to the kids, getting down to their eye level. "Hey, how would you two like to stay here permanently?"

"We can do that?" Kate asked and Laura nodded.

"Of course, if you guys wanted to, and you were right Todd that tortoise is pretty cool."

"We want to live here," Todd spoke after getting silent confirmation with his twin.

"Well I'm sure Maura and Jane would love to have you here, they really care about you both, you know."

Kate nodded, "Yeah, we care about them too," she smiled brightly at Jane and Maura.

"It was nice meeting you two," Laura got up and turned to Cailin. "And it was very nice to meet you Cailin."

Cailin gave a small smile, "Nice meeting you as well."

"Well, I guess my job here is done," Laura made her way back to the ladies. "You have a nice little thing going for you guys. I think this is a very good place for the children after all I've seen and heard. If you guys need anything just let me know, I would do anything I can to help. I had to watch some kids of my sister's before, it was definitely hard work, but well worth it in the end."

Maura nodded, "That's nice of you to offer help, if anything comes up Jane and I would be more than happy to talk it over with you."

Laura handed Maura her two cards, "Both work and cell number is on here, as well as an email. And feel free to give a card to Cailin, she seems to be going through some pretty hard stuff. I'm sort of okay with helping people deal with grief. You ladies have a good day and the kids are going to be okay I think," she spoke, giving the twins one last glance before leaving the house.

"I'm pretty sure she was hitting on Cailin," Jane whispered in her wife's ear.

"She just wants to help with grief Jane," Maura shook her head.

Jane shrugged, "Yeah, I'm sure of it. I really don't appreciate people hitting on grieving people. She just lost Camille, she needs time to heal."

"Jane, it's going to be alright, you know," she rested a hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah, if you say so, I just mean, some people don't know how to chill out with their hormones," Jane went to grab her cup of tea in the dining room and Maura joined her sitting down beside her.

"Jane, you have pretty powerful hormones too, I mean you had me pressed up against the wall not even an hour ago," Maura shrugged.

"That's different though, we're married."

"We weren't before and it still happened on quite a few occasions as I recall," she retorted before sipping at her tea. "You know they are pretty distracted with the television, would they even noticed if we left the room for a bit?" she ran her hand up Jane's thigh, pressing the palm of her hand gently against her crotch, applying some pressure.

"Shit Maura," Jane moaned out, her body reacting to Maura's touch, she stood up and pulled Maura with her, she knew where they could be alone and it not be awkward. "Hey Cailin, you mind watching the twins for a bit?"

Cailin looked up at the two and shrugged, "I don't mind," she shook her head feigning disgust before turning her attention back to the tv, the twins paying no attention to the adults.

Jane finished tugging Maura outside toward her car, "You know the last time we really done it in a car was when I was upset and drunk," she opened the car door and slid into the backseat.

"See I told you have powerful hormones," Maura got in and closed the door behind her. "Want me to finish what I started in the dining room?" she asked, tucking her legs under her butt.

"You started the teasing Maura, don't think I haven't noticed. You're so naughty, you know that."

"Maybe, but you enjoy yourself, a lot if I recall correctly," Maura spoke softly as she went to unbutton and unzip Jane's pants.

"Yeah well who can blame me," Jane licked her lips as Maura's hand slipped underneath her underwear. "You have the magic touch."

Maura nodded to what Jane was saying as she let her fingers slowly run up and down Jane's slit smirking as Jane groaned. She felt like teasing Jane a little bit longer. She took her other hand and ran it up her shirt, enjoying the warmness of Jane's skin reaching up until she unhooked her bra and pulled it out from underneath Jane's shirt. Maura put her hand back underneath Jane's shirt, her hand grazing over her breasts, Jane took a deep breath, closing her eyes. She moaned as Maura's thumb ran circles around her nipple until it was hard. Maura pushed up Jane's shirt before lowering her mouth onto her nipple sucking gently, Jane whimpered at the feeling, chills running down her spine, her fingers tangled in her honey blonde hair.

Jane rolled her hips against the palm of Maura's hand. "Fuck me Maura," she begged, she didn't know how much more teasing she could take.

Maura moved her mouth from her breasts, "Patience Jane," she whispered, her thumb pressing against her entrance. "I love how you react to me."

"You're killing me here though," she managed to get out, noticing the look on her face. "But I won't rush you."

"Thank you," Maura was about to continue until she heard a noise. "Jane, is that seriously your phone right now?"

"Ignore it," Jane pulled out her phone, groaning it was Frost, it might be important. She was torn but the look on Maura's face made up her mind. She shut the ringer off and threw it to the front seat. "I'll call him back."

"Jane, I'm proud of you," Maura kissed her cheek.

"Yeah," she muttered, and glanced at the phone as Maura continued her kisses focusing on her neck instead of her breasts now.

When Jane didn't react to her kisses anymore Maura pulled away. "Earth to Jane."

"What? I'm focused," Jane lied, her mind was busy thinking of why Frost was calling. Her serious side was showing and Maura took notice.

"Just call him back, I'd rather you enjoy yourself instead of having your mind elsewhere," she pulled away.

"Maura no, come on, I want to focus on you."

"What you want to do is answer that phone, I know you, and he's calling you this time, it's different," Maura sighed and slipped out of the car, closing the door behind her.

Jane cursed herself and got the phone from the front, dialing his number, when he picked up he didn't even have time to greet her. "Frost I swear to God this better be like the most important information of your life right now," she looked out of her window and seen Maura already making her way inside the house.

"I um... well... Jasmine Fischer's lawyer is here and he's not happy. Apparently she is claiming to be harassed by you and that she wants to file a lawsuit on you and basically the whole Police Department and she also wants me and Frankie to stop searching for her. I swear someone is working with her in all of this. She's gone off the deep end. I wanted to update you on all that's going on. We're waiting for the Lieutenant to get back over here to discuss matters. I swear she's been planning this all out on those days she was MIA. I think it's best if you get over here."

"Can't you just handle it, I don't think her lawyer will like me showing up," Jane rubbed the back of her neck.

"The Lieutenant is going to want you here Jane. I thought you wanted to be a part of this," Frost sounded confused.

"Frost, trust me I want this all over, but I've already upset Maura twice today. We still don't know her whereabouts and I need to finish my eulogy for Camille's funeral tomorrow. Just handle it."

"Okay, I'll let you know what happens. Jane, I want this all over too but it's just about to get worse. I believe."

"It sounds like it, but just..." she paused, sighing. "Just call me back if I absolutely need to come in."

"I'm sure Maura will understand Jane."

"You would think that, wouldn't you?" Jane muttered before hanging up. She leaned her head back against the chair, how could everything get so jumbled up within 30 minutes. She adjusted herself before getting out of the car and heading back inside. Maura was in the kitchen moving around, Jane approached her, hands in her pockets. "Hey."

Maura stopped what she was doing and looked up at Jane, "What news did Barry have?"

"Nothing good, she claims I've been harassing her at least that's what her lawyer said according to Frost. There's nothing I can do right now. We still are unsure of her whereabouts, pretty sure I'm about to be suspended and the police department is going to be questioned about their policies. I don't even know how she knew I was calling to ask about any updates, apparently that's harassing. But I don't want to talk about her, she's not important right now. I can't stand the thought of you being mad at me."

"I'm not mad at you Jane I just got a little frustrated and I apologize," she looked down. "I was just upset that we are always getting interrupted, can't even enjoy time with my wife. Shouldn't you go to work then? Won't they be expecting you to discuss things?"

"Frost will call me if I need to absolutely show up. I really should go finish that eulogy for Camille, I've been putting it off," she frowned. "God I miss her."

"I know you do sweetie, we all do," she pulled Jane into a hug. "I love you Jane."

"I love you too Maura, until forever," she gave Maura a squeeze before letting go and retreating upstairs.

Maura let out a sigh before returning to the task she was doing in the kitchen. Jane looked at her paper she had started to write on earlier about Camille, she read what she had written already and shook her head, pulling out another sheet and started over. She sat down on the bed and ran a hand over her face. "This is harder to write than my wedding vows," she laid down and looked up at the ceiling. "How can I give you to perfect send off? You were gone too soon kid. It's miserable down here without you. I hope you weren't scared when it all happened, when everything just faded to black, did you know it was going to be all over in that moment? I would guess so, that's the worst way to go. I'm sorry it all happened to you," she spoke softly, closing her eyes, drifting off to sleep or she was about to when the ringing of her phone went off and it was Frankie.

"Jane, you need to come to the warehouse where Gabriel got shot. I went back because I got a disturbance call and well it's not nice. You remember Jasmine's poem about Maura well it seems as though she did what she said she do to her on this body here. We need to get this bitch back to jail."

"I'll be right there," Jane frowned, getting off the bed and pulling on her jacket and headed downstairs. She went to Cailin on the couch, "Hey, can you keep an eye on the twins and Maura, it's very important."

"I sure... Jane is everything okay? Is she in danger because I'm not sure I'm the person to keep anyone safe."

"All I can tell you is I hope not," she stood up, planting a kiss on each of the twins' head before approaching Maura. "Hey I'm going to go out and get some fresh air, writing is hard when I don't have good scenery. I should only be gone for an hour," she didn't want to worry Maura about where she was really going.

"Did you want me to come with you?"

Jane just kissed the top of Maura's head, "You should stay here, spend time with the twins and your sister."

Maura eyed her wife, she seemed pretty tense. "Just be careful Jane."

"I will be extra careful, then maybe when I get back we can do something or go somewhere where we can spend some time alone together with no interruptions. How does that sound?"

"That sounds like a splendid idea," Maura gave Jane a soft kiss and caressed her cheek. "See you when you get back."

Jane nodded, looking Maura over once more before leaving and heading over to the warehouse. She felt her heart racing, the last thing she wanted to see was what this psychotic woman was really capable of. She waited in her car for a minute before heading over to the warehouse, where she seen Frankie standing outside of it. He handed her covers for her shoes.

"You should put those on," he gave her a sad expression. She slipped them on and glanced at her brother.

"I can already smell the blood, how much damage could she have done to a person?"

"See for yourself," Frankie led her inside and Jane almost gagged within a second of coming in there. There was blood, body parts and organs scattered about the warehouse.

"Jesus Frankie, what the hell is wrong with that bitch?" she groaned, covering her nose of the scent.

"The M.E. should be here to pick up the body in a couple of minutes," he told her and led her to a part he wanted her to see. "That is more of why I called you," he pointed to something written on the wall. It said 'one day this will be Maura' and it had a smiley face drawn next to the words. "This shit is serious."

"I'd say it was serious, very serious," a man's voice was heard they both turned to see Lieutenant Anthony standing there, a smug look on his face. "I would think her work is a little over the top, but it sends a message, doesn't it?"

Jane glanced at the man she trusted, "You're involved with this. How?"

"I never liked that man Gabriel Dean, he destroyed Miss Fischer. Me and her used to be college sweethearts, when she told me stories about how he hurt her because he had feelings for you it left me upset and angry. She grew quite the obsession on making you suffer and liked to hurt you by trying to destroy Maura. When I joined the Boston Police Department I gotten to work with you all and Dr. Isles and I must say I don't like her one bit. So I figured when she had this plan I decided to go with it. I wanted to kill Gabriel Dean myself but she insisted she do it. The FBI had no part in this like she led you to believe," he spoke shifting his eyes towards Frankie who had his hand on his gun. "I wouldn't do that if I were you Detective."

Jane looked at her brother and back to the Lieutenant. "You aren't going to get away with this."

"Are you sure about that?" he nodded to her brother, where Jasmine stepped up behind him, pressing the gun to his head.

"Leave my brother out of this," Jane scowled and Jasmine shook her head.

"Losing him would absolutely destroy you and that would give me great joy. He's a cutie though, would hate to dispose of him. I'm sure Detective Frost would miss him, one less gay person in the world though. Honestly I'm conflicted on what to do," Jasmine shrugged, glancing at Anthony. "What do you suppose that we do with Detective Rizzoli?"

"I don't think he needs to get hurt, he's a great Detective, they both are. But hey I'm just the assistant to this whole thing. It's all up to you babe."

Jasmine nodded, smirking over at Jane, "I'll leave your brother alone if you come with me," she took the gun from out of Frankie's grasp. "Or I could just kill you and have him watch, then he could tell Maura the horrible news."

"Can we hurry it up?" Anthony asked and she scowled.

"Don't you dare rush me, I have no use for you anymore I could dispose of you as well. So, what's it going to be Jane?"

"I'll come with you just leave him out of it."

"There's a good girl," she went to grab Jane by the arm, but Jane yanked her down towards the ground. The gun dropped from her hand and slid over to Anthony, he picked it up as Jane's back was turned. Jane tried to grab the other gun from Jasmine's grasp but before she could reach it she heard two gunshots and she felt the bullets.

"Jane!" Frankie shouted, rushing to her side as the other two took off before he even realized it.

Well thoughts on that intensity? And no Jane isn't going to die because that's a horrible story, but I already have planned what's next just got to write it down.
