I do not own…
Three years later…
When the last school bell rang all the kids in the elementary school hurried out of the rooms. In a sixth grade classroom Leo walked out of his class with two of his friends. It was a normal boring day in class and they had a few homework assignments. After saying his goodbye to them he hurried to the bus. It took a few minutes but his bus dropped him off by his house where both Remy and Winston were waiting for him.
"Hey Remy. Hey Winston. Let's race, come on. Let's go." Leo smiled
He started running to his house with the dogs right beside him. When they got to the door he took out his house key and locked out the door.
"I'm home!" He called
Kagome, who was in the kitchen, cleaning while his five year old sister Hanan and three year brother Timothy were playing in the living room.
"Welcome home, honey." Kagome smiled "How was school?"
"Boring as usual but around 1 there was a rat in the room and I hit it with a book." Leo explained as he sat down to do his homework. "Don't worry, I only stunned it like how Shippo showed me."
"Well that's something." Kagome giggled
"Is dad home?" He asked
"He'll be home soon." Kagome said "Finish up with your homework."
After two hours, Will came home and Kagome was just starting making dinner. Hanan and Timothy ran into his arms to greet him and he picked them up.
"Hello beautiful." Will smiled and kissed Kagome.
"Hello handsome." Kagome smiled
"Ew. Yuck." Hanan and Timothy playfully groaned.
Will chuckled and just placed them down. They ran off to play, leaving the two adults alone.
"What's for dinner?" Will asked as he wrapped his arms around her.
"A shrimp etouffee dish. I had a craving for cajun food tonight." She smiled
She stirred the sauce with the sauce spoon and held it up to him to taste it.
"How is it?" She asked
He took a sip and nodded.
"Not bad. I thought cajun food was supposed to be spicy." He said and finally took off his jacket.
"Well I'm making two sauces. This is for Timothy and Hanan as they don't like spicy food yet." She said and gave him another sauce spoon. "This is for Leo and us."
He took another sip and this one was spicy.
"Wow." He said and coughed a little.
"Too much?" She chuckled
"No." Cough. "Just right, actually." He laughed
When dinner was ready everyone sat down at the table. Hanan talked about what she learned at kindergarten. Leo talked about the rat and also how in P.E they were playing capture the flag. His team didn't win but he managed to take a few players down as he was silent and quick. He wouldn't have won but the team cheated and didn't get called for it as the kid that cheated was the teachers son.
After dinner Leo helped Will clean the kitchen while Kagome gave the younger ones a bath. Once everything was clean it was Leo turn to take a shower and Will and Kagome tried to place Hanan and Timothy asleep. Well Kagome did but Will was kind of playing Timothy. That was until Kagome cleared her voice and gave him a dry look that made him stop.
"Sorry dear." He laughed and placed Timothy in his toddler bed.
"Okay you two bed time." Kagome said as she tucked Hanan in her bed.
"Sing, first, mama." Timothy smiled
"Please, mama. Sing us a song." Hanan smiled
They gave their pouty puppy eyes and she couldn't help but smile at them.
"Okay. What song do you guys want to hear?" She asked
"Tramp! Tramp!" They both said
Kagome looked at Will with an amused look.
"You were the one that showed them Lady and the Tramp." Will smirked "Just be glad it's not the cat song."
"Okay. Okay." She smiled
'He's a Tramp
But they love him
Breaks a new heart, everyday
He's a tramp, they adore him
And I only hope he'll stay that way
He's a Tramp, he's a scoundrel
He's a rounder, he's a cad
He's a Tramp but I love him
Yes, even I have got it pretty bad
You can never tell when he'll show up
He gives you plenty of trouble
I guess he's just a no 'count pup
He's a Tramp
He's a rover
And there's nothing more to say
If he's a Tramp
He's a good one
And I wish that I could travel his way
Wish I could travel his way
Wish I could travel his way.'
Hanan and Timothy clapped and begged for another song but Kagome said no. The two kissed them goodnight and before leaving their nightlight on they closed the door half way. After saying goodnight to Leo the two adults brought the dogs back inside before taking a shower themselves. Remy slept in Leo's room as always. Buster and two other dogs were sleeping in Hanans' and Timothys' room. While Winston and the other dogs slept in the master room. Will checked all the doors and windows and made sure all of them were locked before laying down with Kagome and two some watched T.V before the two fell asleep.
Like what Will had promised, he had quit his job at the FBI and they had moved out of Wolf Trap. They ended up in a nice little town in Florida and bought a house near the beach. Their family had lived there for the last three years. Kagome even got pregnant with her child but she and Will got married their second year there. For the last three years it has been perfect for them. Kai was still watching over them and Yua (their old nanny) was watching over the younger children. Will had gotten a job fixing boats and Kagome got another job at an art and history museum. The two had good jobs with reasonable hours and always found time for their children. They were happy and not once had they thought about their old life.
A few days have passed and it was the weekend. Kagome had felt that something was gonna happen but she wasn't ready to see Jack again. Let's just say her mood was turned sour when she saw him. She wasn't a fool. Both Will and her had seen it on the news and read about it in the papers. A new killer was out there and he had killed two families on every full moon. Jack can't find him so he had to find his old bloodhound and guilt him to do the job for him.
Will was the one that let him come by and offered him a drink. Still not wanting to be around the man Kagome took the kids out to the deck to catch some fish.
"You don't want to talk inside?" Jack asked
Will shook his head no.
"Oh, you don't want to let me inside." Jack stated and to a sip of his beer. "I've come too far to let her cold glare stop me, Will."
"Why should our cold glares stop what common sense couldn't?" Will asked
"So, you don't want to talk about it here." Jack said
"I don't want to talk about it anywhere." Will replied "You've got to talk about it, so let's have it, hmm? Just, uh...just don't get out any pictures, cause Kagome and kids will be back soon."
"How much do you know?" Jack asked before putting his beer down.
"Two families killed in their homes a month apart. Similar circumstances." Will shrugged
"Not similar. The same." Jack said "You ever think about giving me a call?"
"No." Will said
"You know what it is? " Jack asked
"I didn't call you because I didn't want to. I don't think I can be of any use to you, Jack." Will glared "I don't think about this anymore. I don't believe I could do it now."
Jack took out a picture of one of the families and handed it to Will.
"I think this freak is in phase with the moon. Killed the Jacobis almost four weeks ago in Chicago. Full moon. Killed the Leeds family in Buffalo night before last a day short of a lunar month. With a little bit of luck, we might have a little more than three weeks before he does it again." Jack explained
Nothing more was said as Kagome and the kids came back. Leo had gotten better at fishing and caught three fishes while Kagome got two. Seeing that his time was up he gave Will some time to think about his offer.

"Crawford has the whole damn government. What does he need you for?"
It was dark and the two were getting ready for bed.
"He just wants me to look at some evidence, Kagome." Will said as he started changing. "Give him another point of view. You know, it's, it's...a few days, a week maybe, and I'll be right back."
"And you believed that?" She asked in disbelief
"Yes. I mean, look, these kinds of cases come up very rarely and you and I both had experience in that." He said
"Yes, we have. And I thought that's why we left it behind." She said "You're paid up, Will. All of us...even Leo. I don't want Hanan and Timothy to too."
"There's a chance that I could help save some lives. How do I say no to that?" He asked
Kagome knew what he was saying and if it was her old self she might have joined him. After what they've been through she just wanted it to end. Seeing how worried she was he walked up her and hugged her.
"Would you have to see him?" She asked in a soft whisper.
He tensed as he knew who she was talking about.
Hannibal Lecter.
The man has been writing to them for the past three years, mostly to Kagome. He wanted to see her and Hanan but Kagome would never allow it. She didn't want him to poison their daughters' mind with his words. He only wrote to Will once. It came two days after Jack arrived. The Letter was a warning about Jack trying to get him back to field to do his work for him.
"Let us hope not." Will whispered "I'll just help them find this man. The cops'll have to take him down, not me. I'll be in the back of the pack, Kagome, I promise."
"Never in your life." She scoffed and started tearing up. "Both of us never are. I know you. We'll always run into the fire."
"Come here." He said and hugged.
The next morning Will had packed his bag and got ready to leave.
"I want you two be good to mommy for me, okay." Will said as he hugged Hanan and Timothy.
"Do you have to go dada?" Timothy asked
"I just need to help out an old friend with something. I'll only be gone for a few days Tim. I promise that I'll call you guys everyday." Will said
"Do you want to take Mr. Bearbone, he'll keep you safe?" Hanan asked, offering her favorite teddy bear.
Both Will and Kagome smiled at this.
"No. Mr. Bearbone needs to stay here and protect you. He keeps the bad dreams away, remember. I don't want to take that away from you." He smiled and kissed her head.
Then walked over to Leo and hugged.
"You're the man of the house, till I get back. Look after you mom for me okay." He said
"Dad...do you have to go?" Leo asked
"Is something wrong?" Will asked, wondering if he foresaw something.
"That's the thing. I can't see anything. I don't know why and it worries me." Leo whispered "The only time this happened is when 'Father' was around."
Knowing that the boy didn't like talking about his real father, Will assured him that nothing was gonna happen. He gave Leo another hug before hugging Kagome.
"Take this." She said, placing a handmade secret sutra necklace on him. "It'll keep the demons out of your head when I can't."
Will smiled and kissed her passionately. Timothy and Hanan cringed at the sight before covering their eyes. Leo was embarrassed but he still couldn't shake this sense of danger that was to come and he couldn't see it.

A few days later…
Will had gone to both victims' houses and was able to get something. The old team was brought in and they found a thumb print and his teeth marks. Not much but it was something. He was doing well but he wasn't so sure. This was when he decided to do the very thing he had promised to never do. He had to see Hannibal Lecter. When he came into the room Hannibals' back was to him but thanks to his sense of smell, the cannibal already knew who it was.
"That's the same atrocious aftershave you wore in court." Hannibal said and turned around to face him.
"Hello, Dr. Lecter." Will said
"Hello Will." Hannibal greeted before saying. "Did you get my note?"
"I got it. Thank you." Will said
"Did you read it before you destroyed it?" Hannibal asked "Or did you simply toss it into the nearest fire?"
"I read it. And then I burned it." Will said
"And you came anyway." Hannibal replied before taking a few steps. "I'm glad you came. My other callers are all professional. Banal psychiatrists and grasping second-raters. Pencil lickers."
"I want you to help me, Dr. Lecter." Wil said
"Yes, I thought so. Are we no longer on a first-name basis?" Hannibal asked
"I'm more comfortable the less personal we are." Will explained
Hannibal inhaled once more as he noticed the many senses on him. He nearly smiled when he smelled Kagome's scent in the mix, then Leo, Hanan's and then another scent he doesn't know of.
"I smell dogs and pine and oil beneath that shaving lotion. Green tea and cherry blossoms. How is Kaogme?" Hannibal asked, when Will didn't answer he continued on. "Is there also...another child in your lives, Will. How is my little Hanan? I have sketched a drawing of her from that photo I took from you but I would very much like to see how she looks now."
Again Will says nothing. He wasn't going to give this killer any information about his and Kagomes' life.
"You should thank me and Micheal. We gave you two children that were ours. Well...three is you recall." Hannibal said, with a hint of sneer.
"I came about Chicago and Buffalo. You've read about it." Will replied
"I've read the papers. But I can't clip them. They won't let me have scissors, of course. You want to know how he's choosing them." Hannibal stated
"I thought you would have some ideas." Will said
"You just came here to look at me." Hannibal stated "Came to get the old scent again. Why don't you just smell yourself? I'm sure Kagome always does when she smells you. She did when we were intimate."
Will rolled his eyes with a scoff. He knew he was trying to rile him up.
"I expected more of you, Doctor. That routine is an old hat." Will glared and was about to leave.
"Whereas you are a new man. Are you a good father to them all, Will? Even to the new one?" Hannibal asked
"Show me a picture of Hanan, and I'll take the file. An hour, and we can discuss it like old times." Hannibal offered
Will didn't want to but he knew this was the only Hannibal would really help at all. He knew Kagome would kill him if she ever found out. He thanked him before walking over to the transfer box and took out a recent picture of Hanan. He placed the picture in with files before placing them in the box. Hannibal took the files but quickly looked for Hanan's picture. A ghost smile was on his face when he saw it. She was looking more like her mother everyday. In the picture the little girl is standing by a palm tree, waving at the camera while wearing a raggy red dress and hat from the 1800's.
"It was taken a month ago. Her school was doing a play of Hansel and Gretal and she got to play Gretal. She was the star of the show. Everyone loved it." Will explained "I expect to have that back."
"Family values may have declined over the last century, but we still help our families when we can. Even though there will always be hate between us, you're family, Will." Hannibal said
Will walked out the room to give him time. When the door shut behind him let out a shaky breath and he was tensed. It felt as if he was behind him so he looked just to make sure he wasn't there. Once he was sure he wasn't he went to see his old friend Alana. When he saw her it looked like being with Margot and the baby has been good for her.
"It's good to see you looking so well, Will. But I can't help wishing you weren't here." She said
"Wishing and hoping." Will smirked
"How did it feel to see him again?" She asked
"Like...Hannibal was looking through to the back of my skull." He explained "Felt like a fly flitting around back there. I had the absurd feeling that he walked out with me. Had to stop outside the doors and look around, to make sure I was alone."
"I know that feeling." She said
"Well, at least Jack Crawford is pleased. He showed me pictures of the families. I looked at Kagome, Leo, Hanan and Timothy and I couldn't say no." He replied
"And Jack was counting on it." She said "How did Kagome react to seeing Jack again?"
"Wishing that I had signed that restraining order on him so he wouldn't bother us again." He laughed before sitting down next to her. "I thought she was about to punch him when he stepped into the house." They both laugh at the thought of it. "Are you still with Margot?"
"Yes. We have a baby. A Verger baby. A son." She smiled
"Oh, good for Margot." He said
"Good for me. I carried him. He's my son. He's the Verger heir." She smiled
"So what are you doing here?" Will asked
"There are only five doors between Hannibal and the outside. And I have the keys to all of them. Hannibal has never been great with boundaries. He who sups with the devil needs a long spoon." She explained
Will knew what she was talking about so he stood up.
"I am not letting him in, Alana." He swears. "Don't worry about me."
"I'm not just worried about you. Last time, it didn't end with you." She warned
