Part of the group was trying to play baseball with five-person teams. One team was made up of Sam, Bucky, T'Challa, Shuri, and Peter Parker. Another team was made up of Peter Quill, Groot, Drax, Mantis, and Fury. Maria Hill was the umpire. They had found a ball and Groot made a bat for them.
Wanda and Stephen were audience members. Loki was inside with his children.
Sam's group was named Team Earth and Peter Quill's was Team Galaxy. They flipped a coin to see who would be up to bat while the rest were in the field. Quill's team won. They were up to bat. Bucky was the pitcher. T'Challa was catcher. Sam, Shuri, and Peter Parker were watching bases and outfield. Peter Quill was up first to bat.
"You let the guy with a mechanical arm be pitcher," Peter Quill got himself ready by widening his stance and gripping the bat.
Sam shrugged. "No one said we couldn't."
Peter Quill was struck out. Next was Mantis. Another strike out. Drax was up next. He hit the ball. Peter Parker casted a web onto the ball. They made it a rule that he could attach a web to it, only because they didn't want to take forever finding it again. Peter Quill yelled at him to start running. Drax made it to the second base before Peter Parker got the ball back.
Nick was up next. He struck out. Groot hit the ball enough for a home run. Peter Quill was up to bat again. He struck out. Switch places. Two points for Team Galaxy. Fury was catcher. Quill was pitcher. The rest were on the bases and outfield. Team Earth accumulated four points before striking out.
The group was on the seventh inning with two people on the bases, two strikes against them already. The ball was thrown, bat swung hitting the ball. The group was going after the ball when it was caught by none other than Sif.
She glanced at the ball then back to them. "What a surprise. Midgardian heroes playing about."
"Its been a long time," Nick walked over to her. Two women stepped out behind her.
"You found some friends, or should I say fiends," Maria recognized Lorelei but she didn't know the blonde next to her.
"You remember Lorelei," Sif introduced. "This is her sister, Amora, or commonly known as the Enchantress. I was tasked with finding them after their escape from Asgard. Had them in my clutches and then all of us ended up here."
"Do my eyes deceive me?" A voice called out on the other side. "Lady Sif?"
Sif peered around the group that was forming around them to see who called out her name. It was a familiar voice. Another Asgardian. Sif moved herself around to see Freya and Iwaldi, Sigyn's parents.
"Lord Iwaldi and Lady Freya!" Sif called out with a smile.
Stephen glanced between the two new groups of people. He whispered to Wanda. "Make sure they are not allowed in yet. I think Loki will need to know about this." Wanda nodded in agreement. He went inside, pace hastened. He knocked upon the chamber door. He heard movement before the door opening. "We have more guests." Loki narrowed his eyes. "Do the names Sif, Iwaldi and Freya, mean anything to you?"
"Yes, Sif was Thor's friend," Loki explained. He was a bit surprised. "Lord Iwaldi and Lady Freya would be my in-laws, Sigyn's parents."
Stephen knew about Sif. He assumed the older couple was Sigyn's parents as they resembled her. "How about Amora and Lorelei?"
Loki blanked before he let out a groan. "They're in this world." He glanced off to the side. "Of course, they are in this world. What can go wrong, will go wrong. I'll meet with them."
"Friends of yours?" Stephen raised an eyebrow. They were two beautiful women. Loki gave him a wry look. "Oh, exes, I see."
"They wish," Loki pushed past him. Stephen walked with him.
"If they are not exes," Stephen enjoyed tormenting him.
"We had similar goals," Loki tip toed around that question.
Stephen smirked. "Does Sigyn know you had relations with them?"
Loki glanced at him. "She's read about some of them. I've omitted some minor instances."
"I wonder what they will say when they find out you're a married man," Stephen mused. "With children."
"They can think whatever they want," Loki quipped. "I have no connection with them anymore."
The two stepped outside to see the group was about thirty feet from the door.
"Well-well-well," Amora raised an eyebrow. She gave him a once over. "I think my time here will be more enjoyable."
"Same here," Lorelei gave a half smirk.
Loki didn't even look over to them. He went straight to Iwaldi and Freya, who were indifferent seeing him.
"I know what you must be thinking," Loki was pleasant. "Not the person you wanted to see." He got closer to them and his voice was only loud enough for them to hear. "However, there are two who would love to see you."
Freya clasped her hands over her mouth. "They're-they're with you?' Loki nodded. "Here?!"
"Can we?" Iwaldi glanced at the home.
"Yes," Loki agreed. "In our chambers, both are in the cribs. I think they will be happy to see their grandparents."
Freya started to head towards the home. Iwaldi stayed for a moment. "Thank you, Loki. You are more worthy than those you say you are not. It may be late, but you have my blessings." Loki kept his emotions in check. He only nodded in silence. Iwaldi followed behind Freya.
Loki took in a breath. Now to deal with the past. He headed over to the group.
"Silver tongue still intact," Sif crossed her arms.
"Still threatening," Loki retorted. "Don't you ever get tired of it?"
"Aren't you going to invite us in?" Amora walked around him.
"We've been walking around for a while, we would like to rest," Lorelei stood next to Sif.
"We never get tired in the Soul World," Loki kept his eyes on Sif. Sif was amused at this turn of events. She wanted to see how he was going to get himself out of it. They never asked about Loki and she never told them about him.
"That's good to know," Amora stood by her sister. "We could pick up where we left off."
"We're all the same now," Lorelei continued. "Don't have to worry about being found out."
Sif was enjoying this. She kept a smile on her face. It was almost a reward for her as she trekked along the Soul World with them.
"Is that your place?" Amora inclined with her head. She was bringing forth her charm.
"And if it is?" Loki glanced over to it.
"All the more reason to let us in," Amora breathed in with her chest.
"With everyone here, it would be a tight fit," Lorelei added.
Sif raised her eyebrows at that. She was wanting to know how he was going to smooth talk his way out of this.
"I thought both of you despised our last interaction," Loki pondered.
"I thought we left on a good note," Amora refuted with a bit of a pout.
Lorelei jerked her head to her sister. "Didn't he help Thor and the Warriors Three along with Sif on capturing us, where we stayed in the dungeons for a hundred years or more."
Loki smiled. Yes, he did help them out. He was the bait for the two sisters. He did meet them on his adventures with Thor from time to time. They all had similar goals and powers. He did flirt with them, shared a few kisses, some passionate interludes, but it was more of a lustful youth. The three during those times were more on open relations and not commitment wise. More of just having fun, enjoying the moment. He still dreamed of Sigyn off and on but that was more of a fleeting wish in his heart, to be fully in love with her, to have at least one chance with her.
"Yes, and where you escaped and left me there alone!" Amora crossed her arms.
Lorelei shrugged. "You're the Enchantress, not my fault you weren't enchanting enough."
Amora gave her sister a snide glare. "You didn't stay free for long. Sif caught you. It's when the dungeons finally broke by the Dark Elf, you still weren't there to help me out. I had to slink my way out. Thanks to Odin, since he remembered the two of us had escaped, Sif was sent here to recapture us."
"I would have gone after you even if he hadn't commanded me," Sif looked between the two of them. "I was of no use when he was rebuilding Asgard. Warriors Three were also recapturing those that escaped. I wondered if they survived."
Loki paled. She didn't know. The three looked at him with curiosity. He wasn't one to show his emotions. He became somber, clearing his throat.
"I, regret to inform you, Sif," Loki looked straight into her eyes. "They did not survive. All three had a warrior's death, worthy of Valhalla, defending Asgard against Hela. I know you probably don't believe me, since it's coming from me, but you have every right to know."
Sif didn't know she was holding in a breath. She inhaled. "Is that why I can't find Asgard?"
Loki nodded. "The only way we, Thor, the Valkyrie, and I, could save Asgard was to destroy it by initiating Ragnarök by yours truly. Surtur destroyed it along with Hela."
"Hela?!" Amora flinched. "Goddess of Death, Hela?" Loki nodded again. "By Odin's beard, I am so glad we escaped when we did."
"Who is Hela?" Lorelei was confused.
"You weren't born yet," Amora explained. "I was raised during her peak of reign of death and destruction. She's not someone who you want to cross. After Odin banished her, he wiped every record of her off the Nine Realms, and started anew with Thor and Loki."
"Wh-what about Heimdall?" Sif had tears in her eyes. She was berating herself for not being there when Asgard needed her most.
"Heimdall sacrificed himself to send Hulk to Midgard to forewarn about Thanos," Loki explained.
"Thanos?" The three didn't know that name.
"A creature who made us end up here," Loki did a short summary. "He gathered the Infinity Stones while sweeping planet, realm, heavily populated area he deemed fit, with genocide, killing half the population to save them so they wouldn't have to suffer like his planet."
"That's why we turned into ash," Lorelei spoke first. "He wished for genocide all across the universe." Loki gave a somber response. "That idiot! He couldn't think of a better way to solve his problems."
"What was he?" Amora questioned.
"Titan," Loki answered.
"That explains it," Amora let out a sigh. "Since I wasn't in the Nine Realms, I heard about Titans and their extinction. Great abilities, mostly brawn, not much on intelligence. He could have made space colonies, genetically modify plants and livestock for better output that take less resources, outsource with other beings through trade, he could have done so much, yet he did that?"
"And then he thought it was a great idea and decided to go forth with it," Lorelei added. "Why do we think men should be in charge or be in powerful, political positions? So emotional."
"That's why it's called his-story and not her-story," Amora quipped. Lorelei agreed.
Loki was amused. Sif had to agree with them. It did make sense.
"You're not going to let us in," Amora got back to main of things.
"Well, after that reasoning, I may just let you," Loki was surprised by the turn of events. The three of them still thought the same.
"I do wonder why you went to Iwaldi and Freya though," Amora narrowed her eyes. "You only cared for the royal court when you wanted to sway things your way. Heard you also died during battle with the Dark Elves but we all know you're not the type to stay dead."
"He's not been one to fall for our charms," Lorelei crossed her arms. "Not in the magical sense. What have you been up to, Loki?"
"Now I wonder," Sif had been remembering about her time in Asgard since Amora brought up about Odin sending her away. She didn't care if she was the first one to bring it up. She wanted to know. "You were Odin instead, weren't you?"
Loki shrugged. "Was wondering when you would get to that."
"You sent her after us?!" Amora got angry. She raised her lip in disgust. "That was your order as Odin then!"
"Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer," Loki raised his eyebrows but spoke nonchalant. "Besides, kept Sif away while I was bringing Asgard back to its former glory. Even had the Bifrost working again. She is much smarter than the Warriors Three, but I had them off recapturing others as well."
"You finally got to be King," Lorelei wasn't happy either. "Found yourself a little Allmother to go with being Allfather!"
"I did," Loki reveled with a smirk.
Amora and Lorelei got angrier by his remark. Sif had to bite the inside of her cheek from laughing. She knew about the wedding and was glad that at least Sigyn was back with him. That was her next question, if he freed Sigyn.
"Then what they-wait," Amora froze. She pointed a finger at him then at the house. She shook her head slowly. "You had her as your Queen!"
"Didn't think you liked nice girls," Lorelei sneered. "But she was only good enough for being Allmother. Had to get a Valkryior to rule over the rest of the Valkyries."
Loki gave them a closed smile, similar to the one he gave Odin when he was chained. "She is someone who I had dreamed about being with but never thought I could, that we were too different, paths were never going to cross ever again. I took the chance when I had it, treated her as if that was my only chance, and now we've been married with children for a few years now."
Amora, Lorelei, and Sif all had shocked expressions on their face. Sif knew about the marriage but already having a child, and not just one.
"Ch-children!?" Amora dropped her arms. "You have children!"
"Yes," Loki thought that question was rhetorical. "Am I not allowed to?" He questioned them.
"I-we-ah never said you couldn't," Amora was back tracking.
"With her?!" Lorelei didn't care if he had children, she just couldn't believe it was children with her. She looked at him with disgust. "Of all what's out there. You have some taste."
Loki raised his eyebrows at her comment. "Me?" He let out a chuckle. "We had some relation, didn't we? What does that say about my taste in you?"
"We at least have more class," Lorelei refuted.
"Are you comparing yourselves to the right person?" Sif interrupted.
"Sigyn, isn't it?" Amora knew who she was.
"Lady Sigyn," Lorelei named off. "Valkyrior who teaches and trains the swanlings, close friend of the formidable Glut Angrboda, Goddess of Fidelity, gorgeous woman whom all warriors want her to bring them to the gates of Valhalla; who hasn't heard of her when the bards can't keep her name out of their mouths!"
"Jealous of Sigyn?" Amora rolled her eyes. "Should be praising her instead."
"When you're compared to her since we both have red hair," Lorelei explained. "You can vent as much as you want. Enviable woman is what she is, standing high on her pedestal."
Loki was not amused. "You can stay outside. Amora and Sif are welcome in."
"Ah!" Lorelei felt ashamed. She looked away. "My apologies. I have been speaking about your wife with hostility. I may not be fond of her, but I will still respect her."
"Then I'll show mercy just this once," Loki warned. He started to walk back to the group where they were staring with curiosity.
"Best behavior ladies," Sif warned. She followed after him. Amora was bemused and winked at her sister who only let out a small groan following behind the two.
Loki introduced the group to the three women. He also let them know that the two that went inside were his in-laws, Sigyn's parents.
Peter Parker breathed, "Asgardians are basically the elves off of Lord of the Rings."
"They're just like us," Shuri shook her head. "You haven't seen all of them, just a few."
"Angel babies," Drax commented. "All of them have angel blood in them." Peter Quill rolled his eyes.
Loki went back into the house to check on his children with his in-laws. Iwaldi was holding Nari while Freya had Vali. The two were in the kitchen area. Loki was relieved the four were getting along.
"He's gotten so big," Freya kissed the top of his head. "He looks just like you." She looked over to Loki. "And the little one's name?"
"Nari," Loki smiled.
"Nari," Iwaldi let Nari hold his finger. "Two sweet boys. She survived." His voice became somber. His voice cracked a bit. "Alone without any of us."
"She's strong," Loki comforted them. "She'll have some lows but she's always been resilient."
Freya felt guilty for her grudges against him for taking away her only child and tricking her into marriage with him but when she was in their chamber, she saw how close they were. The painted portrait, their royal garments on mannequins with their weapons displayed, the way the rest of the home was that resembled that the two lived together in harmony. "She really loved you." Freya was holding her grandson closer. Vali was laying on her chest.
"Loves," Loki corrected. "She's not one to stop loving."
"You're right," Freya wiped a tear. "She's not."
Loki sat down next to them, catching them up on what had happened between him and Sigyn. Her parents had a right to know. He felt like a broken record, repeating stories over again.
When the rest of the group came back into the house, which was still big enough to house all of them, he introduced everyone over again. Loki was relieved to know that no one is going to remember any of this. He was already itching to kick all of them out and going back to being a hermit along with his two sons. It was quieter.
Another year had passed on Midgard before Sigyn brought her two girls with her. Val met her at the Doctor's and Healer's home.
"They've gotten so big!" Val exclaimed as she picked up Eisa. "Einmyria and Eisa, little swanlings waddling about!" She looked over to Sigyn. "Why the trip?"
"I've been talking about Uncle Thor," Sigyn explained. "I thought they should have every right to see him. How's he doing?"
Val looked towards Eisa who was playing with her clothes. "He's doing what he needs to get by."
"He's still depressed," Sigyn sighed. "Its going to be an uphill battle for him." She wished for him to have a smooth discovery. "I hope it's a short one."
"Me too," Val hugged Eisa. "So, how are you going to show them him without him realizing it?"
"Isn't it time for rations to come in?" Sigyn raised an eye brow.
Val smirked. "Right you are! Comes in a few hours."
"We will be hiding somewhere to see Uncle Thor, won't we?" She was holding Einmyria's hand. She nodded her head while trying to stand on her toes.
"Uncley Thor wants to be awone," Einmyria tried to sound like an grown up. "He is vewy sad about what hwappened."
Val was intrigued. "Oh, did your mother tell you what happened to all of the Asgardians?"
"Yesh," Einmyria sat her heels back down and lifted up her toes. "About evewyone."
"Well, your mother is a great teacher," Val explained. "You should know about what's happening."
The four spent time together until it was time for Val to set the rations aside for Thor. Sigyn grabbed both of the girls and hid beside a building that was out of the way. She had Eisa in her lap while Einmyria was standing next to her.
Val set all the rations down in the usual spot. She didn't want to glance where Sigyn and the girls were in case he might notice them. Val headed off to pack the rest of the rations to the main area.
The door opened to Thor's house. His hair had gotten longer, the same with his beard. "Shh, here comes Uncle Thor." She made sure the girls were silent. They both looked to the blonde-haired man. He was wearing a sweater that tried to cover his belly that had gotten bigger. He was in comfortable pants and shoes. Thor headed over to the area to grab his rations with one arm. He headed back inside without looking around. He closed the door behind him. It seemed as if you blinked, you would have missed him.
"That's Uncley Thor?" Einmyria asked as she leaned against her mom's leg.
"Yes, it is," Sigyn smiled. "What do you think of your Uncle?"
"He's stwong," she praised.
"He is," she agreed. "He can wield lightning, remember."
Einmyria nodded. "Uh-huh! Super strong. Gawd of Thun-der!" She emphasized the last bit of the word.
"Yes! God of Thunder," Sigyn chuckled. "He and your father liked to bicker back and forth. Just like the two of you!"
"Is Uncley Thor going to meet us?" Einmyria asked with sweet innocence that it stabbed Sigyn's heart.
"When Uncle Thor is ready," Sigyn answered. "I made Uncle Thor sad the last time I met with him. I don't want to keep making him sad. It's only been a few years since the incident that made everyone sad. We, of the Nine Realms, live for a long time and right now time seems to go slowly for us."
"Since it made evewyone sad," Einmyria concluded.
"Yes," Sigyn agreed. "Everyone needs to take time, some more than others. Like when you caught me crying while staring at your brothers' cribs."
Einmyria hugged her. "I want to meet them. I want bwothers!" She pouted.
"Me too," Sigyn placed an arm around her. "Me too." She kissed Einmyria. Eisa turned around to hug Sigyn. She wrapped an arm around her as well. She hugged her as well and kissed her on top of the head.
Sigyn went back to house to visit with the Healer, Doctor, and Val again. The girls were there for their checkup with them.
Another year had passed. It was the year, Dr. Strange predicted that everyone would be back. He didn't know it when he was in the Soul World with the rest.
Sigyn visited the Stark family with the two girls in tow. They celebrated Morgan's birthday. Tony had been getting group pictures. He was becoming the dad who needed to record everything.
It was going to be a while before Sigyn and family were going to visit again. Sigyn was going to take the little ones the Valkyrior training grounds. She was going to introduce them to the rest of her Valkyries. They were old enough to be on the grounds. She stayed there for a few weeks before meeting with the Farbauti in Jotunheim. It was easier to travel now that Eisa was older.
While Sigyn was doing her routine with the relatives, Scott Lang emerged from the Quantum Realm using the Quantum Tunnel. He met with Steve and the rest. Pitching his idea. They believe it could work, now to get Tony on board. They tried to pitch the idea to him but he refused.
It was a month, as some of the Avengers tried to perform time travel. Sigyn was back at the oasis with her two girls. It took Tony only a few days to figure out time travel. He had thought about the past few years. Things were slowly getting better for everyone. They were finally moving on, but it still tugged at his heart. He discussed his finding with Pepper. She was right, he wouldn't be able to keep this a secret when everyone would love for others to come back. If they had some chance to make it happen, he would happily to try to take that chance.
He glanced by a picture of all of them with Sigyn and her two kids. If he could bring everyone back, he would. Tony was now set on a mission to do it properly. He wasn't going to let them half ass it. They had to whole ass it, he thought as he gathered up some items.
All of the Avengers came back together along with the remaining Guardians of the Galaxy. Tony didn't have the heart to ask Thor if he knew about Sigyn seeing how the guilt and depression was still brewing onto him. He would have to ask that another time. Maybe after everything, bringing everyone back. It might make Thor happier at least.
The group proceeded to use time travel to snag all of the Infinity Stones. As a few were trying to get three stones all in one year, the rest in the Soul World didn't know what was going on. The only time it caught Dr. Strange's attention was when Loki's whole body shivered.
Stephen came over to him. "Functional Myoclonus," he muttered. "You've never done that before."
"Hm?" Loki turned to him.
"Body shuddering like that," Stephen kept his voice low. "Can be described as 'someone walking over your grave.' You don't feel anything?"
"No," Loki was curious on what could be going on outside in the real world for that to happen.
Loki in the Soul World had shuddered as the Loki during the battle of New York had taken the Tesseract when Tony was on the floor needing Thor's help and vanished with the Tesseract in hand.
When the Avengers regrouped, Tony and Steve broke off to do a Plan B on retrieving the Space Stone.
