Today was a sad day, a soldier from green team had fallen while out on a mission. Clay didn't know him personally but Jason and Ray did. All of Bravo team would be attending the funeral, along with their significant others.
"Babe how much longer?" Clay called through the bathroom door.
"I just got in..." Nicole said with a laugh as he got her body wet.
"You can join me if you want...!" Nicole added flirtatiously.
"Ha...that's okay, I can wait." Clay said, disappointing Nicole.
10 minutes later she walked out to the living room where Clay was laying on the couch watching the news. His stare getting fixed to what Nicole was wearing...nothing but a robe that was left untied and swaying side to side, revealing parts of her body he obviously loved, her almost 8 month pregnant belly round infront of her.
"Ha..." Clay chuckled and sat up. Nicole waddled her way over to him and sat on him, straddling his legs. She started kissing him passionately, obviously wanting him.
"No no no...baby...no." Clay said making the kisses stop he put his hands on her sides.
"What? Why...?" She was upset.
"We're leaving in an hour for a funeral Nic..." Clay reminded her.
"I know...but you've been working a lot more lately and you could get spun up at any moment so I just don't want to take any time for granted anymore." She said still sitting on him.
"Not today babe." Clay said and patted the side of her butt to get up. She got up and watched him walk off to the bathroom for a shower. She was a little irritated and sad but she was trying not to show it.
The car ride to the church was quiet for different reasons. Clay was mourning a loss of a solider in his head. Nicole was mad at him for not showing interest in her at all, she needs that now more then ever. She's gained 23 pounds and feels fat all the time now. The least he could do was tell her she was beautiful or something.
They parked next to Sonny (and Megan). They were still in the truck but got out when Clay and Nicole pulled up beside them. Clay went right over to talk to Sonny. Megan approaches Nicole, she threw her hands silently up in the air at Clay, annoyed. It was like she was invisible.
"What!?" Megan asked seeing Nicole was pissed off by her motions.
"He wants no parts of me! He won't hardly look at me, talk to me on the way here. He didn't want to have sex with me earlier!" Nicole explained.
"I mean it's a depressing day..." Megan tried to tell her.
"I understand that. But he didn't know the guy, he's acting like this is Sonnys funeral!" Nicole claimed.
"I think when it's a soldier it doesn't matter who or if they know them. It's just the brotherhood." Megan explained. Nicole felt bad about what she said, and didn't have anything else to say and she didn't know what to say. They watched the guys head over to Rays truck where Jason was also.
"Guess we should follow..." Nicole said and started off walking.
"Wait...while we're alone..." Megan pulled Nicole's arm and started smiling at her like an idiot. Nicole looked at her full of suspicion.
"Guess who spent the night for the first time...SOBER...!" Megan said blushing. Nicole's jaw flung open she was shocked.
"What!? Nah uh!?" She said getting excited.
"Mhm...!" Megan said laughing.
"And...!? Did you..!?" Nicole asked bringing it back to a quiet tone.
"...yeah..!" Megan said smiling and blushing uncontrollably.
"Oh my god! How was it!? Is it what we thought it would be!?" Nicole questioned.
"Haha! Kinda, he's definitely still got the whole cowboy thing going on, slow and steady at first, charming the whole time. So I guess it's what we envisioned yeah." She was laughing.
"Seriously!? Oh my gosh that's so funny!" Nicole told her.
"I know!" Megan laughed with her and then walked over to their guys.
When the service was over they stuck around for a little, they didn't have a meal, it was more like appetizers/snacks. Nicole was a little nauseated by the smell of the shrimp cocktail.
"Clay I think we should go." Nicole said to him quietly, holding her breath as best she could.
"Why?" He asked.
"The shrimp..." she gagged a second.
"Alright...we'll see ya guys." Clay got up immediately for Nicole.
"Leaving!?" Sonny asked.
"Nicole's nauseous.." Megan I formed him quietly.
"Ohhh, yeah well have fun!" Sonny joked. Nicole smiled and followed Clay out.
They got in the truck and started it. He sat there and messed with the air buttons, in silence. Nicole was so thrown off. He didn't touch her once, he didn't ask if she was feeling better once they got out of the church, and he didn't tell her she looked hot in the little black dress she was wearing.
"Is there a problem with me!?" She finally just spit out. He looked at her confused and shocked.
"What? No...!?" He said.
"Well your off with me." She said and sat back in the seat looking straight ahead.
"Nicole where's this coming from? Just because I didn't want to have sex earlier?" Clay assumed.
"Not only that, you didn't touch me once this entire time, hold my hand, put your arm around me, hell you didn't tell me I looked good in this dress!?" She said fired up.
"Oh...huh..." Clay felt like a jerk and grabbed her hand, looking at her.
"Baby I'm sorry...I didn't realize I was being cold with you." He said and traced his thumb over her knuckles. She didn't say anything, and she looked upset.
"Today was an emotional day for me and the team, and a lot of other men and women." He explained. Nicole felt bad she didn't consider that more and didn't know what to say.
"Forgive me?" Clay asked trying to see her eyes.
"Not yet." She said and wiped away a single tear that got out and down her cheek.
"Okay...well please don't cry, you look beautiful...like always!" He assured her and started to drive home.

Gotta love pregnancy hormones! They both needed each other for different reasons in this chapter, they could've met in the middle somewhere but it was all just too much miscommunication. Hopefully from now on the recognize it and fix it before it goes this far.
