"Three more absences Sensei," Miguel says sadly.

We've lost nearly half the roster since we had a full dojo on the first day.

"Bunch of pussies," Aisha says disgusted.

"No, it's my fault. Since you joined Cobra Kai, I have been hard on you. I've called you names. I've humiliated you. Some of you I've hit. And for that, I don't apologize! Cobra Kai is about strength. If you're not strong on the inside, you can't be strong on the outside. And right now, you're all weak. And I know that, because I was you.

I used the have no friends. I used to be the weirdo kid," Sensei says pointing at a small kid named Bert. "But not that weird, I still hooked up with babes and all but... the point is I wasn't always the badass sensei I am today. Just like a cobra, I had to shed my loser skin to find my true power. And you guys will to," Sensei tells all of us sincerely.

I smile while I lean against the mirror. Miguel smiles also and the students for once look happy to be here like the first day. Suddenly, the shop bell rings and a kid walks in I've never seen before. He has a blue Mohawk and he's really skinny, but there's something familiar about him. I get a closer look at his face and I see a small scar above his lip. My eyes widen at who it is. Before I can say anything, Miguel beats me to it.

"Eli, what... happened?" Miguel asks in awe.

I'm laughing silently in awe at how badass Eli looks with the blue mohawk.

"I'm flipping the script," Eli responds in the most confident voice I've ever heard.

"Wait are you the kid with the lip?" Sensei asks in awe.

"Nice cut bro," Sensei says fired up.

"You see that. It doesn't matter if your a loser or a nerd or a freak. All that matters, is that you become badass!" Sensei says encouragingly.

Eli just smiles confidently.

"Hawk, fall in," Sensei says and Eli, now hawk, kicks off his shoes and stands on the mat.

"Fear does not exist in this dojo, does it?" Sensei asks Hawk.

"No Sensei!" Hawk answers confidently.

"Pain does not exist in this dojo, does it?" Sensei asks Aisha.

"No Sensei!" She answers.

"Defeat does not exist in this dojo, does it?" Sensei asks Miguel.

"No Sensei!" Miguel answers.

I nod at Sensei confidently and he nods back.

"Class, are you ready to learn the way of the fist?!" Sensei asks.

"YES SENSEI," we all answer, including me even though I am off to the side.

We proceed to have the best day of training ever. Everyone's excited and ready to kick some ass. Sparring matches are even. Hawk barely loses to Aisha and even Virgin scores a point against his opponent. The entire time, everyone is in a great mood and having the time of their lives, but also training very seriously. After class, I invite the entire dojo to my party tonight and ask people to bring friends so it's not a bunch of guys and only a few girls. Sensei calls us homos for taking a selfie together, but we don't care and take one anyway to announce the party on my Instagram story. Miguel, Hawk, Amelia, and I pick up alcohol and snacks while Aisha takes care of the food. At around 5:00pm, we're all hanging out at my place. I told everyone to come at 8:00pm which was a mistake because it's still 3 hours away and we're ready to party. Hawk is more rowdy than ever. He brings his speaker and it blares music. I walk up to him and touch his hair. He swats my hand away aggressively.

"Jesus, sorry Hawk," I say smiling and putting emphasis on his name.

"Hair's off limits except for Mel," he says.

"Valid," I say.

He fist pumps me. Finally, around 7, Sam and Moon pull up and they brought liquor and weed.

"Sam LaRusso!" I say.

"Heeeey," she says and hugs me.

Then around 8:30, the party is in full swing. Hawk made me drive him home in between 5 and 7 to change his hair color. We're all decked out in Christmas gear and the Cobra's are chatting away. I have a Christmas sweater with a lama on it which looks awesome. A bunch of kids from school showed up and Hawk's mohawk is a mix of green and red instead of blue. He put mini Santa hats on the tips of his Mohawk and he's wearing a tacky blue Hanukkah sweater. I didn't know he was jewish and he told me he was half. His dad is Jewish and his mom is Catholic.

I get a text from none other than McCarthy who actually asks permission to show up. We made piece so I tell him to go ahead. Everyone's having a blast. Edwin is in the middle of a dance off with some other kid from school and Moon and I are playing Miguel and Sam in beer pong. We end up winning by one cup. Miguel and Sam laugh and fist pump even though they lose and Moon hugs me. Kudos to me for putting them on a team.

No one is too drunk yet and just having fun and enjoying the music. Everyone is complementing Hawk on his hair and he's enjoying the attention. It's a miracle that none of the mini Santa hats have fallen off his mohawk yet. McCarthy and the football guys show up and they bring plenty of beer. When we make eye contact, it's awkward at first.

"McCarthy, what's up man. Let's get a beer," I say in a friendly tone and we do a bro handshake.

"Yeah man, thanks for having us," he says.

We drink and he tries to get me to try out for the team next year. He says someone who can fight like me would help us win state. I politely decline, but we just laugh and joke around. Our history is nonexistent at the moment and everyone is having fun and just enjoying the holidays. Demetri wanted to DJ, but we told him no as his taste in music is not sub par. Edwin is doing it right now.

A group is inside the living room playing drinkopoly and the pong table has been taken up. Sam suddenly pulls me aside.

"What's up?" I slur out as alcohol has began to take affect.

"Hey, I need some advice," she says.

"Of course. So what's on your mind?" I ask as we stand in the corner.

"Miguel," she says blushing slightly.

"Oooh hello," I taunt.

"Oh stop it," she says lightheartedly.

"Alright so you have a little crush. No big deal. I'm sure he'd love to go out with you. He's a great guy and much better than Cryler," I say and laugh at my joke.

"Oh definitely," she says.

"Anyway, just live in the moment and have a blast. Go talk to him or play another round of BP," I say.

"I know he's so much fun," Sam says.

"Yeah, I'm lucky to have him as a friend," I say happily.

Mentally, my insides are on fire as I'm so happy. Miguel has been madly in love with Sam since the first day of school and now Sam is asking me for advice on how to ask him out. I'm also drunk. THIS IS AMAZING.

Amelia and I play against Hawk and Melody and lose after Hawk makes a lucky travel shot. I usually frown upon travels, but Hawk insisted. I'm walking around my backyard as people are chatting around me and the music is steadying my heartbeat and all is well.

"Excuse me," Hawk yells drunkingly while standing on top of a table.

Everyone stops and looks at Hawk.

"What's up everyone?! I'm Hawk, and I just wanted to make a toast, to the man that made tonight all possible," Hawk drunkingly slurs in pure happiness as his beer can sloshes everywhere.

"To my friend and brother, BLAKE MURPHY! We love you man!" He says holding up his can.

"To Murphy!" Everyone shouts holding up their cans and people near me are patting me on the shoulder.

I smile and laugh. Amelia whispers "to Murphy" in my ear and I wrap my arm around her.

I hold up my solo cup to Hawk and drink to myself.

"This calls for a nice change of pace for the evening," Miguel says now standing on the table with a microphone Moon brought with her karaoke system.

Miguel then starts playing Christmas music and everyone cheers.

"Hey Demetri!" I shout and his head pokes up from the crowd.

Hawk and Melody walk up to Miguel along with Demetri, Amelia and I. Everyone starts dancing and Sam walks up to us and stumbles slightly. Miguel wraps his arm around her and I high five him behind Sam's back. We all wrap our arms around each other's shoulders and dance to the music.

Melody has her arms around Hawk and her head on his shoulder while she drunkingly sings All I Want for Christmas is You. Miguel is on my right and Amelia is on my left. The Gang, the woods crew, along with Sam and Aisha are all linked in a chain kicking our legs up to the beat like total dorks, but we're having a blast. Miguel to my astonishment and all of our joy hits the high note flawlessly. Everyone cheers when he goes silent and he looks around in bewilderment as he forgot he had the mic in his hand. He takes a dramatic bow and everyone cheers louder. Sam wraps him in a hug while laughing.

I am chatting with Aisha and Hawk on the patio when I hear someone call me.

"Hey Blake, can we talk?" Moon asks looking nervous.

Authors note: part 1 of the Christmas party and finally Eli has become Hawk. I've been looking forward to writing this transformation forever. Also, Sam and Miguel still get together later on and this is just kind of their great hitting it off. So who's Blake Gonna choose? Amelia or Moon? Wait and see when I write part 2 of the party. This time no Kyler or anyone starting chaos. It's finally a relief to just write a chapter of all our heroes just having a ball at the Murphy Christmas rager. They deserve it after all. Also incase you missed it, Hawk did change his hair for the party. His hair alternates red and green and he spiked it up like in seasons 2 and 3 to put little santa hats on each spike. Everyone is decked out in dorky Christmas sweaters and it's a lot of fun.
