/Innocence from a young lad/
I don't own a rod, so when I really want some fresh fish for my meals I jump into the water and see what I can manage to catch. Often times I get nothing, but there are days in which I "somehow" get some really good stuff. It's really hard to fish with my bare hands or my sword.
Fischl has it easier with her bow, but 3 days ago she was doing something really weird: she was just standing in a rock in the middle of a pond, one hand in front of her and the other in her face (a really weird way to point), then she summoned Oz near the surface, and after that she began to shoot him with electro arrows. I thought she was out of her mind for a moment, but it seemed to be more effective, since each shot made Oz hit the nearby basses with thundering retribution. Having a sidekick like her familiar sure is cool, that's why I decided to ask her about how I could get one if possible:
"Hey there, Prinzessin Der Verurteilung! Is this a new technique?"
"Indeed, dear adventurer. By these means I get far more fish."
"It sure is useful to have a familiar like yours. Can you tell me how you and Oz met?"
After I finished that sentence, Fischl only gave me a cold, sad gaze. I clearly messed up. That's why she has been avoiding me since then, but I'm planning to reconcile with her: I'm going to get her a ton of small lamp grass and maybe I can get her some arrowheads.
While I was exploring the Whispering Woods, we stumbled upon each other, turns out she was doing the same thing! I tried to explain myself, but the surprise had me speechless. She was the one that looked away and said:
"Hi Bennett…"
It was a little odd, but I could not afford to question her right now-
"Greetings, your highness! You must be wondering what I'm doing with this small lamp grass, hehe!"
She turned my way, but didn't say anything, and the look in her eye was something "neutral" this time. I explained what I was planning right away:
"I was planning to make you a gift with some of this lamp grass, and maybe some arrows from the hilitruls. I wouldn't take this away of you, I don't need them for me anyway…"
Fischl remained silent, but she seemed to be more relaxed.
"… I don't know you well enough, so I'm sorry for asking about Oz! I didn't mean to bring you bad memories back and-"
"It's okay Bennett, I could not have evaded you forever. Unlike other members of The Adventurers Guild, you are really talkative with me despite my weird use of speech…"
(Although, she was speaking fairly normal right now).
"…So, I forgive you. Next time I will try to explain myself better, to be more mature about this kind of situations."
I said nothing, but instead I just gave her a hug. Hugs are always comforting in times like this. Hers felt a little stiff, but I don't blame her, it might have come as a surprise from my part after all. I gave her the lamp grass I collected; turned out she had enough for now. After that, she seemed to be her usual self once again.
While walking back to the city she said this:
"Even though a prinzessin should just merely worry about essential afairs, will thou allow me to join to this party you call "Benny's Adventure Team"?"
"Wait, you really mean it, prinzessin!? You don't care about the bad fame of my brigade!?"
"W-well… of course not! Thy prinzessin has gone in adventure with you before, trust in her good judgement."
"I'll do my best Fischl, you'll see!"
"…"
"What's wrong?"
"It's been a while since you last called by my name instead of… my title."
"Should I not?"
"I never said that, but of course, as long as you address me the right way, I do not have any inconvenience."
The next day we went to Springvale. She said she had a plan for adventure, but instead we fished all day. I caught just one bass, but she fished a lot of them. She gave me the majority for all the trouble she caused to me when she was still mad, then we cooked the rest and ate them together by Cider lake.
