Chapter 2: Spark of Rebellion Part 2

Here we are with the second chapter of Revan's Descendancy! This will pick up where Chapter 1 left off, and I have decided to go ahead with the Season 1 Rewrite. I have to change a few things around for it to work properly, so it won't follow season 1 perfectly, but the parts that matter will be there. This does mean that the AU will be a bit farther out so we will have to wait a little while to get into the meat of the story, but that only makes it better! Please review and leave suggestions for where you would want to see this go! I have a few ARC ideas for after the season 1 rewrite, but I can always take more suggestions!
Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters, they are all owned by Disney/Lucasfilm.

Immediately After Spark of Rebellion Part 1

I feel the ship docking with the Star Destroyer as I run down the hall, towards the airlock.

I knew something was wrong earlier, I need to start listening to those warnings more often.

Wait.

If I could sense something was wrong how did the adult jedi not sense something was up. Speaking of that why doesn't he have his lightsaber with him?

I manage to get to and through the airlock in time to see Kanan and Zeb about to blow open a door.

Running towards them I yell out, "It's a trap! Watch out! We gotta get outta here!"

I hear Zeb growl, "Karabast, Kids wreckin another op."

"It's not an op! It was a set up watch out!" I yell out.

Suddenly the door opens up, and I draw one of my WESTAR-35 pistols, shooting a storm trooper and the detonator on the door causing an explosion that stuns the rest of the stormtroopers.

Can't let the Empire find out about me yet.

As Kanan, Zeb, and I run back towards the ship I turn to Kanan, "We have to warn Sabine and Chopper! We tried to raise them on the comms, but they're jamming us!

Kanan turns around to me, "They'll follow the plan and be fine."

I can't help but retort, "Cus the plan has gone great so far!"

We turn the corner and ahead of us are a group of stormtroopers and an ISB Agent.

Must be important if we got ISB on us. Speaking of ISB why do their helmets look so stupid, kinda makes you want to shoot at them.

"Don't stop, keep running!" Kanan yelled out.

"Push off … NOW!" All of a sudden, the artificial gravity went out and Zeb and Kanan pushed off through the stormtroopers.

Reflexively I grab onto Zeb, who yells at me to get off.

Nope. Me and you, big guy.

Kanan manages to take out a few stormtroopers with his blaster, while the rest float away not knowing what to do.

The ISB Agent is the only Imperial that manages to effectively return fire. He very nearly hit zeb a few times had I not shifted my weight to make him move.

Doesn't even know I'm saving his hide.

After a couple more corridors of zero G, the gravity randomly cuts back on. I land on all fours and run to catch up to Kanan, Zeb, Sabine, and Chopper.

By the time I get there Kanan had told Sabine to get in a turret, and chopper to help Hera start the takeoff procedures.

I guess I just get on WOAH.

The force wrang out a warning, but before I could react to it I was being shoved back by Zeb. I tried to catch back up to him, but the ISB Agent from before grabbed onto me.

I hate being 14 sometimes, I could snap this guy's neck with the force but that isn't an option here. I need to start working out so I can do that without needing the force. The more protected my identity the better.

Stormtroopers were returning fire on Zeb who was already aboard the ghost.

"Sorry kid! You did Good!" Zeb shouted out.

He is not just about to leave me! I knew people weren't really that good!

Zeb closed the airlock, and I heard the Ghost detach and fly away.

They really just left me. AND I HAVE MY LIGHTSABERS ON ME. I didn't wear Mandalore's mask because that would just be obvious, but still my lightsabers are a dead giveaway.

Guess I'll just have to mind trick them to forget about it.

The Agent and troopers escorted me onto the Star Destroyer and down to the prison level.

Surprisingly they threw me in a cell before they actually searched me.

But I doubt that will last long. Maybe I can hide my lightsabers until they do search me though.

Quickly finding a loose panel on the floor I stash my lightsabers underneath it, and go back to the bench.

I knew I shouldn't have trusted them.

*Sabine POV 10 Minutes Later*

I hear a few voices on the other side of the door as I make my way to the bridge.

Ezra's probably in there with Hera. I can't stand the kid, but he doesn't realize what he is.

Walking in I'm surprised to only find Kanan, Hera, and Chopper mid conversation.

Hera was talking when I came in, "… the kid did good."

Kanan nodded his head in agreement, "He did ok. He's strong in the force I can tell, but he doesn't have control over it. He needs a good teacher to show him how to control his power. If I knew any currently alive Jedi I would take him to them, but the only Jedi I know of is me."

I couldn't help but add on, "Of course all you think about is the force. Do you realize how much of an icon he is in Mandalorian Society? If people find out who he is they would be on him like flies on bantha osik."

"Language!" Hera snapped.

"Sorry Hera, but it's true. I need to help him out with his hand-to-hand combat because as soon as somebody finds out who he is and what he has, he'll be challenged to countless honor duels. And when the stakes are that high, they go to the death."

At this point Zeb walked in looking weirded out by something.

Kanan asked the million-dollar question, "Zeb where's the kid?"

Zeb looked down like he was getting ready to lie, "I thought he was with you?" he said meekly.

I was on my feet in a second, "Zeb, what did you do to him?!"

Zeb never being one to miss a jab said, "What you miss him already?" in an all to romantic way.

I feel my cheeks heat up and look down, "No, I can't stand him, but he is extremely important. And not just to me!"

Zeb can't help but chuckle at that, "Ya sure, look the kid got grabbed by that ISB agent. There was nothin I could do!"

I look over to Hera to see her about to explode, "Garazeb Orrelios!" Hera snapped.

"Look we can't go back for him now; besides we were dumpin him after the op anyway. This way saves us fuel." Zeb responded back in an all to calm tone.

Hera was beyond furious at this point, "NO! We are turning this ship around right now and getting him back! I don't care if he's the greatest Mandalorian Jedi to ever live or if he was some random kid we picked up on the streets of Lothal. He risked his life to save you all, the least we can do is return the favor!"

Chopper beeped out the fact that the meatbag was annoying and wasn't worth saving.

Hera turned on Chopper, "Chopper! You backstabbing little bucket of bolts!"

Kanan finally spoke up, "We have to go back for him. I agree that it's us against a Star Destroyer, but one that kid could be the future of the galaxy, and two he saved our lives. We have to."

Hera turned to me, "Sabine you got the final say in this, either were going back or were not."

The kid is so annoying. He's nice in a little brother sort of way, but still incredibly annoying. I wouldn't mind just dumping him off and forgetting about him, but at the same time he could be the future that Mandalore needs.

I hate internal struggles so much. It's a suicide mission, but we owe him our lives and he's the future of the galaxy?

Haar'chak!

"Fine, we go back for him."

*Ezra POV Same Time*

I hate Imperials.

They came in and shook me down, took my blasters, vambraces, and jetpack. I didn't even remember bringing my jetpack earlier.

I could have used that to get away from that ISB Agent.

ISB Agent Kallus had just left my cell after asking where the other rebels were. He said that he wasn't going to torture him for information, instead he was going to use him as bait.

Hah. Like that would work. They won't come back. People don't do that.

I need to think of a plan to get out of here.

I'm definitely killing all the imperials on this ship. If they even get the chance to ID who I am, I'm done for. No, all of them must die, or defect. No I can't even allow that. The Ghost knowing who I am is already to much.

I quickly pull up the floor panel that had my lightsabers underneath. I tuck the darksaber into the pouch on my leg, and activate my red and purple sabers.

It's been to long.

I need to get the armory, get my other weapons, vambraces, and jetpack.

I walk up to the door and start to cut a hole through it. I hear a startled scream on the other side when they realize what I'm doing.

After I have the hole cut I jump through it and decapitate the two troopers that were guarding my cell.

This might be easier than it used to be.

I start making my way to the armory dispatching stormtrooper after stormtrooper on my way.

I must have taken down fifty by time I get there, but finally I arrive at the room that contains the rest of my gear.

At some point I really need to paint that spare helmet and actually use it.

Maybe Sabine would paint it for me. I can do some basic stuff, but she could probably do much better.

Focus stop thinking about Sabine! She doesn't like you anyways.

Quickly I make my way out of the armory, and duck behind a nearby wall. There's a stormtrooper squad set up to defend this hallway at the end.

Ok how can I play this. I can speed rush the middle with my sabers, or I could go through the vents and get the drop on them from behind.

I open up the vent panel in the wall and make my way to another one that's behind the squad at the end of the hall.

Dropping out I attempt to force push them all into the wall, but instead I end up shooting chain lightning at all of them, killing them instantly.

WHAT, I DID NOT mean to do that. Well, it worked. No harm, no foul.

Continuing my journey to the bridge, I stop to grab a communicator off the body of one of the dead stormtroopers.

Putting it in my ear, I hear all hell breaking loose.

"Sir the transport with wookies is headed to Kessell."

"Sir the prisoner has escaped!"

"It appears that he accessed the armory."

"Squads 1, 3, 4, and 7 are all unresponsive."

"Move squads 2 and 5 to intercept!"

"His trajectory has him headed to the bridge, sir!"

"Set up squads 6 and 8 to defend the bridge outside."

"There's been an unscheduled landing in one of the hangars!"

"I figured they would come back for him, but they were foolish enough to attack a star destroyer?!"

I continue my march to the bridge cutting down another two squads on my way.

"Squads 2 and 5 are unresponsive sir!"

I quickly divert my direction to head to the power core of the ship, since they still think I'm headed to the bridge.

I get there in minutes since there were no more troopers in my way. I grab one of the explosives off my belt and place it down on the reactor core of the ship.

Once again in my ear I hear "Sir there are intruders in the lower hangar!"

Oh, this will be fun!

I quickly jump on the comm lowering my voice, "Sir it appears there are intruders in the upper hangar, I believe the lower hangar is a diversion."

I don't hear anything for a few seconds, but then "Maybe, maybe not. Squad 9 to the upper hangar, Squad 10 to the lower hangar. You boys are it. Squads 6 and 8 hold outside the bridge."

Well, every little bit helps.

Making my way to the lower hangar I quickly take out the troopers headed in the opposite direction.

As soon as I have the lower hangar entrance in my sights, I get a warning from the force, Behind!

I turn around in time to block a shot from Agent Kallus and send it right back into his chest.

Probably wasn't fatal, but at this point I don't have time to check.

I take the bucket helmet off, and stuff an explosive in it, throwing it at the group of stormtroopers that were behind Kallus.

After detonating the makeshift bomb, I run to the entrance of the hangar to surprisingly see the Ghost unloading it's crew.

REALLY! After I've already killed ¾ of the troopers, rigged the ship to blow, and dealt with the ISB Agent? That's when they think they can rescue me? What about an hour ago?

As I see them descending the ramp, they all look shocked to see me here already.

Letting my emotions control me, I quickly snag Zeb in a force choke.

He abandoned me and left me for dead. Why don't I return the favor?

The rest of the crew levelled their blasters with me as I continue to choke Zeb.

"Let him go! We came back to save you!" I hear Kanan and Sabine call out.

They came back to save me? Well, I'm doing just fine on my own.

A shot from Sabine's blaster pulled me out my emotions long enough to realize what was happening.

Quickly I drop Zeb and look down to see a blaster wound on the lower right side of my stomach.

I try to summon the force to heal the wound, but I couldn't concentrate. My vision was starting to grow dark around the edges, as I feel myself start to slump forward.

Suddenly I'm caught underneath my arms, and I'm being dragged into the ship.

The last thing I remember before I lose consciousness is Sabine pressing a detonator, and the hangar blowing up, I had just enough energy to press the detonator on my wrist as the Ghost flew out the hangar. With the explosion in the reactor, the ship started to tear itself apart. I slide down the wall and slowly drifted off as I hear Sabine ask what could have caused that.

*Sabine POV*

"What could have caused that?" I ask as I stare at the exploding star destroyer.

Kanan retorts, "What do you think? Maybe our Mandalorian Jedi, kid that had already escaped and tried killing Zeb?"

I turn back and notice Ezra knocked out on the floor quickly losing blood, "Kanan I didn't mean to actually hit him, I was trying to hit one of his plates. We need to get him to the med bay now!"

"Ya, well the only that can carry him is trying to wake up from being FORCE CHOKED!" Kanan shouts back.

"Kanan I don't care, he is wounded and bleeding out on the cargo bay floor, now help me out!" I snap back.

Kanan and I carefully manage to get Ezra up the ladder and over to the med bay. By the time we do he does not look like he's in good condition. Kanan just leaves while attempt to stabilize Ezra.

I quickly grab some packing gauze, medical tape, and disinfectant. I spray the disinfectant spray over the wound, which is mostly cauterized thankfully. If not Ezra probably wouldn't be alive right now. I apply some bacta gel to the wound seal it with packing gauze and tape it up.

I think that's record time I've treated a wound. It looks like Hera's medical wounds are paying off.

I grab an IV bag and put some saline and slow acting morphine mix in it. Once I have a tourniquet on his arm, I find a good spot to put the IV in. Once the IV is in and he start receiving the saline and morphine, I double check his airways to make sure in the process nothing hit his lungs or is clogging his airways.

Everything looks clear, I'm gonna get him hooked up to the heart monitors.

Hooking him up to the machines I can see that his heart rate, blood pressure, and O2 saturation levels all appear to be stabilizing.

I do not want to know what those looked like 10 minutes ago. I'm glad we got him up here when we did.

He should wake up shortly now that he's being stabilized. The morphine isn't to high power just to make it hurt a bit less once he does wake up.

Huh, I was so focused on the medical that I never realized we jumped to hyperspace.

I could go look for the rest of the crew, but I don't know if it would be smart to leave him in here alone. Anything could happen, so I better just wait for somebody to come to me.

Comming Hera, I let her know that I would be in the med bay making sure Ezra didn't wake up and try to kill everybody.

"Alright Sabine, that's fine I'll be in there soon to talk with you and double check his condition."

I really didn't mean to hit him with such a nasty shot. That could have ended much worse. GOD I COULD HAVE KILLED HIM. I could have killed the next ruler of Mandalore. WHAT HAVE I DONE? He's probably gonna wake up and try to kill me. I wouldn't blame him at this point. I should have just tried to explain the situation. Or stunned him! Why didn't I just stun him! No! I shot him in the stomach to the point where he almost bled out!

OK

Breathe…

Breathe…

Everything ended up ok.

He didn't die, Zeb didn't die, we got out of the star destroyer alive. You know if the kid were even the least bit charming, I might actually be worried about him. He's cute, but not my type.

Hera walking in pushed me out of train of thoughts. She raised an eyebrow at me when she saw what I was doing.

"What?" I ask, only now noticing that I've been holding his hand this whole time.

Quickly dropping his hand, I turn to Hera, "Don't get any wrong ideas, I am not interested in him. One he's to young, two he's about as charming as the backside of a bantha, and three well just look at him he looks ten years old. I don't do romance. Not anymore. Unnecessary attachments are exactly what they're called, unnecessary."

Hera just chuckles in response, "Sabine, who are you trying to convince with that, me or yourself? Look I'm not gonna push this right now seeing as he tried to kill Zeb, and you shot him. Which by the way, really? Why'd you shoot him? Anyways all I'll say is that in a couple years if I see you two sneaking around and avoiding people, I will personally be the first person to say I told you so. Give him a few years to grow up, and I'll bet you two would make a pretty cute couple."

"HERA! No, that is not going to ever happen!" I fire back.

Maybe give it a few years? No. You remember what happened. Not going through that again.

"Thanks for the advice Hera, but like I said I'm not one for romance." I explain.

Hera just smiles and shakes her head, "Anyways, what's his condition? I see you've got saline and morphine going, along with the wound disinfected and bandaged. Did you put bacta underneath the bandage?"

I smile back proudly, "Yup bacta under the bandage, saline and morphine drip set up, and monitors set up to watch his heart rate, blood pressure, and O2 saturation levels. I don't know how but he's practically already stabilized. He should be waking up soon."

"Must be that Mandalorian Jedi DNA." Hera quickly says, as Ezra stirs.

*Ezra POV*

"Must be that Mandalorian Jedi DNA"

What.

Who knows I'm a jedi?

What the kriff happened?

Where the kriff am I?

Slowly opening my eyes, I realize I'm back on the Ghost, and I'm in a medical bay with Hera and Sabine talking beside me.

Wait.

Sabine shot me!

To be fair I would have shot me too. I shouldn't have choked Zeb like that. I have to get my control down.

I can't let my emotions control me, otherwise I won't be able to walk the middle.

I hear them talking but I can't really make out much of what is going on.

"Hello, Hello? Ghost to Ezra? Can you hear me?" my senses suddenly come back and I hear Sabine beside me.

"What?" I quickly fire back.

"Do you remember what happened?" She asks empathetically.

I could be nice. Or I could be an absolute jerk. Or I could just be blunt.

Ya blunt it is.

"You shot me." I calmy say.

Sabine looks taken back, and I can feel the guilt rolling off of her through the force.

I quickly amend my statement, "You shot me, but I would have shot me too. I was being a raging asshole, and I deserved it. I let my emotions get to me. I'm sorry. It was dishonorable the way I acted."

Sabine quickly threw it right back into my face, "Ya it was dishonorable and stupid! What the kriff were you thinking?! The only reason we have to come back to that star destroyer is to break you out, and you choke Zeb?! I don't care if he had to leave you behind once, he tried to make up for it and you tried to kill him for it!"

Ouch.

Ya I deserve that.

Swallow your pride Ezra, swallow your pride.

"Exactly. Now you see why I'm unfit to lead Mandalore, much less even attempt to join a clan. I'm an aruetii. A coward. You should have never trusted me, just drop me back off at my tower and forget you ever saw me."

I'm sure they all hate me anyways. I'll just wait until I'm older to fight the Empire.

Hera quickly spoke up, "Ezra if you think for a second that the way you deal with problems is by running from them, then you are just like the Empire. We are not leaving you; we are going to help you. All of us. Kanan will teach you to control the force, I will teach you what I can about piloting, and Sabine can help you out with unarmed combat. You could probably even help Kanan out with his lightsaber skills. Not to mention at your size you could be an invaluable asset to the crew. This crew is a family Ezra. When you trusted us with your most guarded secret, I realized that you deserved to be a part of this family. So the offer is there if you want"

Wait.

I quickly interrupt her, "Hera I really appreciate it and I will seriously consider the offer. It's been a long time since I've had the feeling of being accepted, even had the feeling of being in another person's vicinity. But right now, we have a mission. I know where the wookies are going. Hera, they're on the way to Kessel."

Sabine quickly pipes up, "Slaves there last months, a year at most…"

"And for wookies born in the forest it's a death sentence. Alright I'll go get us heading to Kessel. Ezra you rest your in no way ready for a mission." Hera all but blabbers out.

I interject, "This is nothing trust me, I might be able to heal it fully by the time we get there. Watch."

I quickly concentrated as hard as I could. Remembering the stories dad would tell me about with the Jedi healers.

Come on I got this. It's simple force healing.

After a few minutes I felt the pain from the wound go away, surprising myself as I realize I fully healed the wound.

Woah, that's probably the best I've ever done. I managed to heal one of my wounds.

Sabine was stunned, "Woah, how did you do that?"

"I've never been able to do it that well or that fast, I think it's the force telling me I'm on the right path."

Hera simply smiled and nodded while walking out heading towards the cockpit.

I turn to Sabine, "You wouldn't by chance have a spare helmet, would you? I left all my helmets back on Lothal, and I would prefer not to wear the mask of Mandalore while fighting."

Sabine scoffed, "No you are not wearing my family's spare helmet. In fact, you shouldn't even be wearing that beskar, much less own it. You haven't passed the trials and are undeserving of the armor."

Swallow your damn pride Ezra.

I look down, "I see. … I assume your going to confiscate the armor since I haven't passed the trials?"

I could tell she was trying to make a decision about it, but she is right.

I am not Mandalorian. I don't deserve to wear the armor. I swear to the Resolnare, and then completely disobey tradition. I am a hypocrite.

Finally, Sabine speaks up, "Yes I will confiscate the armor for now. I won't take it for my clan, but I will ask you not to wear it until you pass your trials. If I do find you wearing it, I will fully confiscate it and take it for my clan. I don't want to do that. It's your family's armor, it shouldn't be worn by my clan, but if you betray my trust I will not hesitate to take it. Do you have anything other than that to wear?"

I do at my tower, but not here. I guess I could just wear the under suit for now with my jacket.

"I don't have any sort of armor, but I have the under suit, my boots, and my jacket. It will cover me until after we save the wookies. I have some plastoid pieces in my armory at home, it's nowhere near the level of my armor, but I understand why I can't wear it." I respond.

Sabine just looks down sad, "I'm sorry, but you know the way of our people. Until you pass your trials you cannot wear beskar. I know you were never given the chance to even attempt the trials, but tradition still stands. I will find a way for you to take the trials soon, but until then you'll have to make do with whatever else you have. I see you as a Mandalorian, but unless you see yourself as one, you aren't Mandalorian."

With that Sabine left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. Which were not where they should be for a mission.

Even when she must do something, she does not want to she's gorgeous.

I can't say I blame her for what she did, but it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.

My armor was like my second skin. I never took it off after I forged it.

I know how I'm getting it back though. I also know exactly which clan I'm getting into.

One way or another I will marry that girl, pass the trials for clan wren, and be a Mandalorian once again.

I don't care how long it takes.

Hopping off the table I start to take the plates off my under suit.

It feels wrong, but I must do it.

Once I have all the plates off I take off my vambraces, and jetpack.

I can keep the duty belt seeing as it doesn't have beskar on it.

I reattach my lightsabers to my belt, drop my pistols in the holsters, double check my commlink, grenades, and first aid kit. Once I'm sure everything is where it needs to be I throw my jacket and boots back on, and stack the armor neatly with the darksaber on top of the stack.

I walk out into the common room where I see the mask of Mandalore on the table where I left it. I put it next to the darksaber on top of my stack of armor and proceed down the hall towards the living quarters.

Once I figure out which room is Sabine's I knock on the door.

She opens the door and instantly frowns, "What do you want Ezra? I'm busy getting my gear together."

I just smile, "I wanted you to keep my beskar until I have earned it back."

She realizes what's sitting on top of it and glares at me, "If you think I'm taking the mask of Mandalore and the darksaber, you're dead wrong. I'll take the beskar, but you can keep your family legacy. Don't wear the mask, don't use the sword. If you do I will kill you."

She takes the armor but leaves the sword and the mask. Quickly shutting the door, she takes the armor back into her room.

Well that could have gone better.

I make my way to the cockpit wear Hera is.

She hears me come in and looks up from what she's doing, "Hey Ezra, what's up?"

I smile back at her, "Nothing, just giving Sabine my armor. How long till we get to Kessel?"

She instantly frowns, "Why did you give Sabine your armor? We're about twenty minutes out, but don't think your getting out of this conversation."

I look down as she talks, "I am not truly a Mandalorian yet. I never passed my trials, granted I was never given the opportunity to, but that doesn't change the fact that I never passed them. The only warriors worthy enough to wear Beskar are those that have passed their trials. Sabine confiscated my beskar, and I agreed to it."

Hera just continues to frown, "Is there a way for you to get it back?"

Ya, I could marry her.

I laugh at the thought, "Yes, the way for me to get it back is to be accepted into a Mandalorian clan and pass the trials for that clan."

Hera doesn't quite get it yet, "So you are going to try and join a clan? How?"

I give her a sly grin, "Hera can you keep a secret for me?"

She starts to understand, "If it's about what I think it is, sure."

My grin turns into a smile, "I plan on getting my armor back by marrying Sabine. Marrying her will get my foot in the door, but Mandalorians typically marry in between the age of 16 and 18." Hera starts to realize the problem, "Ya Sabine is 16 right now. By the time I turn 16 she'll be halfway to turning 18. I figure if I haven't gotten her by the time, I turn 17 my chances are shot. My odds aren't great right now, but I think if I give a couple years, I can get her to warm up to me."

Hera just beams at the thought, "Ezra nobody else believes me, but this is coming from a woman. I've seen the real side of you, the one that nobody else has seen. When you jumped at the opportunity to help the crew, and then when you gave me the information on Kessel. You've been on your own for a long time, but I know the real you is truly selfless."

I smile at the praise, "Thanks Hera, that means a lot. I've got my own battles I have to fight, but your right. I try to put others ahead of myself. It's what my father taught me ever since I was born, and looking at the things he did, I would be more than happy to be half the man he was."

"Thank you for coming to talk to me Ezra. I knew you liked Sabine, but now really get what she means to you, and I'll try to give her a few gentle nudges in the right direction. Are you ready, we should be coming up on Kessel soon?"

I start to get excited at the prospect of freeing the wookie slaves, "Ya, I've double checked my gear already. Let's go save some wookies."

I run out the cockpit heading towards the cargo bay as the ship comes out of hyperspace. Hera flies in taking out a few stormtroopers in the process.

Zeb leans over and mutter, "Try not to get dead. Don't wanna carry your body out."

After that the ramp opens to a barrage of stormtrooper fire and we dash out taking cover behind a pile of crates. Kanan gives me the signal, and I wrap around another pile of crates while stealthily making my way over to the wookie slaves.

By the time I come out from the other side I've gotten behind the stormtroopers. I make my way over to the wookies and start to free them.

They growl at me like I'm trying to hurt them, but I reassure them I'm here to help.

Once the wookies are free they help us clean up the rest of the stormtroopers until TIE's come in and strafe the Ghost. Hera had to pull out in order to deal with the TIE Fighters.

In the time it's taking her to do that another ship came down and dropped off a platoon of stormtroopers, and one ISB Agent Kallus.

In the middle of the fight, I see a stormtrooper chasing a young wookie away across a bridge, and what looks to be his father trying to chase him. Zeb pulls the father back, but not before a bolt manages to catch him in the shoulder.

Forced to retreat Kanan does the only thing he can think of, "Hera you're not leaving us behind, were gonna run a 22 pickup."

Sabine scoffs, "Seriously?"

"You got any better ideas?"

"Jump in the pit and get it over with?" Zeb retorts.

I can't help, but ask, "22 pickup? Care to let me in on the secret?"

Kanan looks directly at me, "Kid I'm about to let everyone in on the secret."

With that, he stepped up onto the crate dodging blaster fire as if he could sense it coming.

Well, he can sense it coming. I was wondering when he was going to do this.

OOH I could hop in with him. I'm not wearing Mandalorian armor right now, and nobody would look twice at a red blade with the inquisitors running around.

I quickly grab my lightsaber off my belt preparing to jump right over Kanan into the middle of the pack.

Before I can Zeb socks me in the arm, "Kid if your about to do what I think your gonna do, don't."

I just send a glare back at him while he shouts, "Alright you overgrown fur balls get in the crate."

I look back to see the wookies piling into a shipping container.

Interesting, the Ghost must have magnetic locks on the bottom. Pretty smart if you ask me.

Kanan attaches two pieces from his belt together and activates his lightsaber with a challenge.

All the stormtroopers stop firing, waiting for orders on what to do next.

Kallus looks livid, and just shouts, "All troops, focus fire on the … JEDI!"

As Kanan starts blocking bolts, I jump through the air activating my red blade with a flourish and cut down straight into the heart of the stormtrooper line. I quickly start cutting my way through the troopers, until I see an opening to go after the young wookie.

At this point another stormtrooper is chasing after him, and this makes me incredibly angry.

Without thought I just throw my blade at neck level at the rest of the stormtroopers, once I hear the shots stop and the bodies slump to the ground I quickly chase after the youngling and lone stormtrooper.

I catch up to them on a small bridge overlooking the mines, and quickly grab the man by the neck using the force.

I didn't try to kill the man, but the next thing I know I hear I frightened yelp from him, and his neck becomes the size of a straw, instantly killing him.

Ok, a bit brutal but it works.

I quickly run over to the youngling, and make sure he is ok.

I sense somebody approaching and when I turn around it's none other than Agent Kallus himself.

Kallus smirked at me, "I would have guessed you to be the apprentice, but with a blade like that and no care about life I'd say he doesn't even know about you. There's no way a Jedi would let one of your kind stay around."

I glare back at him, "And what do you really know of my kind? Sith? No, I'm no Sith. I'm a new breed of Jedi, one not held back by the trivial codes of old."

All of a sudden, the Ghost appeared with Kanan on the ramp, "Jump, kid!"

I hoisted the youngling up onto the ramp as Kanan deflected blaster bolts from Kallus.

The Ghost quickly exited the atmosphere and launched into hyperspace.

The reunion of the youngling and his father was worth every second of the battle. I had made my decision at this point.

I was staying with the Ghost crew.

I can make a difference here.

Not to mention my future wife is here. Just gotta talk her into that one.

I'm not gonna hold back any punches though. I'm gonna make them think I'm leaving.

As the last of the wookies enter their own ship Zeb, Kanan, Sabine, and I are all standing by the airlock.

This is where I make my move.

"So, I guess this where you guys drop me off right?"

They all look shocked at the proposal, but Zeb recovers first, "Yeah, finally right?" he tries to joke.

"Yup" I say and then take back off towards the loading ramp.

"Ezra, wait!" I hear Kanan and Sabine say at the same time.

"Ya?" I say turning around.

Sabine motions for Kanan to go first, "Are you sure you don't want to stick around for a little while? You need somebody to help control your abilities. You used a lot of the dark side today Ezra, granted you also used a lot of the light, but I think there's a difference in balance and what you did."

"I'll think about it, what do you need Sabine?" I fire back.

Sabine looks a little shocked at the bluntness, "Well I still have your armor. I can't in good faith give it to you, you know I can't."

I just chuckle, "Hang onto it for a bit, you know I have plenty more if I really need some. But I doubt I'll be wearing it until I get the chance to join a clan. Just think of it as a gift."

Sabine blushes a little bit, but tries to cover it up, "Well thank you, but are you sure you don't wanna stick around?"

I laugh at that one, "You know for somebody who says they don't like me you sure are trying to get me stick around. Maybe you'll miss me? No, I got a job to do and that involves the emperor and his head being removed from his shoulders. You guys don't want that fight."

With that I grab what little I have on board wave goodbye and start off towards my tower.

Alright time to start taking bets on which one tells Hera, and then which one comes and gets me with Hera's answer of 'Kriff no, you're joining this crew'.

I settle onto my couch to read up a bit more on some Mandalorian history during the time of the Mandalorian Crusades, and slowly time starts to fly by.

I only come out of my reading when I notice a knock on the door.

Getting up and moving over to the door I let it swish open to reveal Hera, Kanan, and Sabine.

"Missed me so much you already had to come visit?" I get out with a straight face.

Hera just sets her gaze on me.

Ok this is motherly Hera. I don't want to mess around with this.

She quickly says, "So Kanan told me you weren't staying."

Absolutely terrified I replied, "I don't know where he got that information, I'm just packing now."

Hera's glare turned into a happy smile as she said, "That's what I thought, Kanan and Sabine will help you pack up seeing as they are the resident Jedi and Mandalorian. Sabine might have let slip you have a hangar and some ships. If they can dock together, they stay docked with the Ghost while in space and undock while at port. You'll get a room on the ghost, or you can stay on your Korm'k. I wouldn't blame you if you stayed on your own ship because otherwise, you're rooming with Zeb."

I look to the other two before gulping, "Sounds good Hera!"

They all laugh as Hera turns back to head to the Ghost.

Kanan turned around to me, "So, where do we start?"

It was two hours later, but we had managed to pack up all of my clothes, gear, and other supplies into either my Korm'k or the Ghost. We kept the food supplies with the Ghost seeing as I would be able to cook for everybody. Sabine was especially happy when I showed her my collection of Mandalorian spices. I let Sabine take every piece of Beskar I owned until I pass my trials, excluding the unforged pieces.

Those are actually more for currency's sake than forging sake.

Other than that, everything went smoothly. Hera lit up at the sight of the working Old Republic Sith Starfighter. I told her she could fly it as much as she wants as long as she teaches me how to properly dogfight with it. All I really know how to do is take off, fly around, work the Navi computer, and land. Purely so in case I ever needed to get away I could.

As we were taking the ships out of atmosphere I looked back at my old tower.

Wow, I already consider it my old tower.

I think this just might work out.

And that's Chapter 2 ladies and gentlemen. I have to say thank you guys so much for the support on this story. I was not expecting to get so many visitors, favs, follows, and review like I did. I truly appreciate you guys that are enjoying this story. After I read the couple of reviews and talked to one of my good friends, I have decided that I'm going to do a rewrite of season 1 then dive into the AU. Like this chapter and the last it will follow throughout the episodes of season 1, but there will be differences as you could see here. Ezra going crazy when he gets mad. I don't want to spoil to much of the story, but Ezra will be battling inner demons throughout the course of this story, but the crew will be right there to help him. Or will they? Anyways I'm done here, thanks for the support, and expect the next chapter in the next few days. I just wanted to get all of Spark of Rebellion out today.
