A/N: I do not own the TT.

Ginngersnapps: Well, I typically consider filler to be anything that does not add a lot to the plot, or a chapter that could be summarized in a sentence or two. For example, fight scenes and the Africa mini-arc have chapters that would be a bit longer to explain. This chapter could be easily shortened and doesn't contribute all too much to the plot. But either way, you are welcome. And cheers mate.

Nivado111: Well, she didn't display anything overly revealing or suggestive. And I once had a friend ask me for my opinion on a few outfits and I didn't get...you know.

Eris: You bet she will. And BB experimenting with his powers and abilities is a constant in this story. And I'll cover the court hearing when I get there.

Not a lot of reviews this time around. Oh well.

Chapter 33:

According to the clock, it was 3:52. And there was nothing to do, other than hit the gym again.

"Better than nothing." the green teen thought aloud before walking to the elevator. He was just about to press the button to take him down when a gloved hand grabbed the door and caused it to reopen.

"Sorry, but I saw you were heading down and I didn't want to shout." Robin offered once he had joined Beast Boy in the elevator. With no more disruptions, the two heroes descended into the workout room and started their own routines. Beast Boy began with weightlifting, easily pressing two hundred seventy pounds. It wasn't a lot compared to other heroes, but Robin felt like he wasn't actually pushing himself. Then again, it's hard to make accurate observations when your body is spinning and defying gravity on parallel bars.

From treadmills to fly machines to leg workouts, the two spent an hour before they took a break.

"By the way, I spoke to the mayor yesterday and he wanted me to tell you the two of us can stop by when you're ready to schedule a hearing." the Boy Wonder informed his verdant teammate.

"Thanks. I should be readjusted before the week is through." the shapeshifter replied.

"So you're really okay with the idea of being put in prison with a bunch of our former foes?" the leader asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, I don't like the idea of it, but I sort of have too. Otherwise you guys might be called in to forcefully deal with me. All in all, it's just easier for everyone else." the teen replied, then swallowed a small cup-worth of water.

Robin gave an understanding nod and the two returned to their exercises. By the time they were ready for breakfast both of them were dripping in sweat.

"You know, you should eat something when you first wake up instead of waiting for us. I'm sure if you wake any of us up, we'll understand." Robin said as the two approached the eating area. He had heard another stomach grumble from the changeling and proceeded to question a little.

"The thing is, I'm not usually hungry when I wake up. I think it's because my body doesn't expect food when it's still dark out, so it'll ignore any feelings of hunger. Sort of like a circadian rhythm, but for my stomach.".

The two were in front of the kitchen doors when a realization hit Beast Boy.

"Actually, I'm going to take a shower first." he said before turning around and heading for his room. Robin sniffed his own underarm and determined a shower would probably be beneficial.

While the two boys were washing up, the other three Titans joined Raven in the main room of the tower. They all exchanged their greetings and went about fixing breakfast. Later than usual, Robin walked in and was shortly followed by Beast Boy.

"So Rob, got a plan for today?" Jinx questioned.

The alarm answered the question for him.

"It's Cinderblock. He's rampaging the mall." the leader explained after a quick reading. Before anyone could ask, Raven had teleported the team down to the T-car.

"I'll fly this time. I could use a chance to collect some energy." the changeling stated. His form bubbled and he grew a few inches taller. His build gained a little tone, and his feet left the ground.

"I will fly alongside you for the same reason.". With that, the two Tamaraneans soared out of the garage and into the city.

Unlike the T-car, Beast Boy and Starfire had the freedom of flying in a straight line over the traffic. The two arrived arrived much earlier than the rest of the team, introducing them to the destruction Cinderblock was capable of. The main entrance to the mall was no more than fallen rubble and dust. A large, comically humanoid hole had been busted in the wall, indicating where the stone villain had entered.

"You go left, I'll go right. Get anyone you find out of here, and call if you run into Cinderblock." Beast Boy ordered. Starfire nodded in understanding and the two split up. The changeling reverted into a human to take advantage of his heightened senses. He couldn't hear anyone yet, nor smell anyone. Running from store to store yielded no results, until he neared a corner. Even from fifty feet away, he could smell something. Opting for stealth, he transformed into a fly and landed on the corner.

"Well this got interesting." the green fly thought to himself.

A single person was rummaging through a jewelry store and filling their pockets with rings and accessories that could easily be pawned. Their entire outfit was pitch black, save the light gray gloves and belt. As the thief turned around, his tattered cape swished and knocked over a freshly emptied display. A synthesizer altered a chuckle into a laugh they had all known too well.

Beast Boy dropped to the ground and hid behind the corner before turning into his human form and instinctively reaching for his communicator. His hand met an empty pocket, and feeling around got him nowhere.

"Oh yeah." he whispered. He had given it to Omari. Once again, things had gotten interesting.

Looks like he was going to have to do this himself. A quick check revealed Red-X had somehow replaced his belt, meaning all of his zynothium weapons and gadgets were back up and running. Robin would be getting a good chewing out again today.

But than again, Robin hadn't known about the true extent of the changeling's abilities, so the suit was probably underprepared for the green teen.

Once again taking the form of a fly, Beast Boy carefully buzzed in and landed near the semi-villain. He returned to a human and tapped the distracted man on the shoulder.

"Need a hand?" he sarcastically offered before dodging a punch sent his way.

"Where's Chuckles and Co.?" the black clad teen asked. The two started circling each other, waiting to make the first move.

"I was in the area when I heard about a robbery taking place. You wouldn't know anything about it, would you?". The villain charged the Titan and jumped with a spin in an attempt to send a spinning kick at the hero, only for it to be dodged at the last moment.

"I'll take that as a 'yes'.". Another attack, another dodge "So when did you change from pulling off big heists to being an everyday robber?".

"Simple; convenience. Sure, artifacts and heirlooms are valuable, but selling them raises too many questions. Jewelry, on the hand. People pawn this stuff everyday. Just gotta scratch it up, let it collect some dust, and who would question just another diamond ring?" he rhetorically stated.

One more strike attempted, another strike dodged.

"You're better than I remember." the man complimented. "Not that it matters.". A jet of crimson red sludge was shot out of an X shaped hole on Red-X's palm, coating anything it made contact with in a sticky substance. Unfortunately for the would-be thief, none of it managed to land on his adversary. Simply put, Beast Boy had disappeared. A quick scan of the room revealed nothing. No green insects, no moving debris, not so much as a block of tofu.

A green mite climbed along the skull shaped mask and found a small enough opening to squeeze through. His destination was the unknowing victim's back, but his small size only slowed his journey.

With a shrug, Red-X turned back to the displays and broke another one open. Necklaces and earrings were removed and placed into empty slots in his belt. Half a minute of grabbing had filled every pocket he had. Out of nowhere, the sounds of battle rocked the foundation.

"That's my cue.". With a press to the circle in the middle of his belt, the thief teleported away.

Only, he didn't. "C'mon, c'mon!" the teen urged with a fast series of clicks. The device simply wouldn't respond. With an exasperated sigh he removed his utility belt and inspected it. A covering plate was removed, and several of the internal components had been chewed through or melted. A few wires were still sizzling from whatever had been used to eat through them.

In his rush to figure out the problem, he hadn't noticed the green ant climb down his boot and take the shape of a familiar green person behind him. Nor would he get the chance, as a hard hit to the back of his head effectively knocked him out. The thief went limp and fell to the ground with a clunk.

"If only it was that easy before." the shapeshifter joked to himself. With a click the green teen unhooked his belt and replaced it with the disabled belt. After a few seconds he emptied as many slots as he could find and refilled them with the contents of his own belt. Once the transfer was finished he slung his belt over his shoulder and grabbed Red-X by the scruff of his neck and dragged him towards the sound of the fight.

It did not take too long to locate the battle that had started between the Titans and Cinderblock. And by the looks of things they were almost finished. The sound of a few starbolts exploding followed by a humongous crash alerted the changeling.

"Sleep tight." he muttered while placing the unconscious Red-X in a sitting up position. There was noting to use to restrain him, so all he could do was hope the thief take the bait once he came to. He tossed the decoy belt next to the criminal and ran off to join the fight.

He came just in time to see the rocky villain fall to a wave of pink hexes. His attempt to stand up was slow and unsteady, but he managed. Robin threw an freezing explosive birdarang at the leg, which effectively froze him in place before blowing him back to the ground.

"Sorry I'm late. Ran into a friend." Beast Boy apologized.

"It's fine. Just help us finish this." the leader requested. Per his orders Beast Boy ran into the fray and altered his biology into that of a Tamaranean. A tightness started cutting into his abdomen, and a look down was all he needed to find the culprit.

Red-X's belt wasn't designed to shift at the microscopic level like his was. But he would have to live with the tightness for only a few minutes at most. His hands started glowing as raw energy collected in his palms. The starbolts flew through the air and impacted the stony foe, pushing him backwards half a foot.

"Hey Star, I need you to try something!" the green alien called out. The natural Tamaranean landed by his side.

"What is it friend Beast Boy?" the girl questioned.

"Just form a starbolt but don't throw it. Punch him with it." the teen commanded before getting ready himself. Four hands were encased in a green glow, and both Tamaraneans charged at the villain. Fighting her habit of throwing the projectiles, Starfire quickly dodged a clumsy punch and struck Cinderblock in the back, the power from her natural strength and added explosive force sent him stumbling forward. His forward fall was stopped by the changeling when he too punched his enemy with both fists and knocked him off the ground.

A loud crash echoed throughout the large building as the stone villain hit the ground and did not get up. A barely audible groan was the sign that he was still conscious.

Finally free to change back, the tension in his abdomen disappeared as he shrunk to a size that the belt was designed to circle around. A few rubs eased away the pain until it was hardly noticeable.

"What was that?" the sorceress asked. The team was surrounding the downed foe, each prepared for a surprise attack.

"It's something I figured out this morning." the teen explained. "I was messing around and ended up doing that.".

"Well good job." Robin offered with a pat to the shoulder. "By the way, who's this 'friend' you ran into?" the Boy Wonder inquired.

"Red-X. He's over...there.". Beast Boy had pointed to where the cloaked thief had been set, only to point to empty space. No Red-X, no belt. Nothing.

"Great. He's probably on the other side of the city with that teleporter." Cyborg grumbled, which earned a bead of sweat on the leader's brow.

"I wouldn't be so sure.". Everyone looked back at Beast Boy, who had pulled off his belt and held it up, showing it was not actually his belt. "I've watched a lot of anime, so I figured he would wake up and bolt before we finished. So I swapped belts, and apparently he took the bait.".

"Oh man! I would love to see his face under that stupid mask once he finds out!" Cyborg exclaimed before bursting into a small fit of laughter.

"Well played." Raven offered with a small smile. "Most well played." Starfire agreed. "But why did you not come when we called you?".

Beast Boy gave a small shrug and tried to look sheepish. "I didn't have my communicator. I think I left it in Africa." he responded. Luckily for them the police had arrived and were dragging Cinderblock into his own specialized transport. "Thanks again kids. I don't know what we'd do without you." an officer praised.

"neither do we." Raven replied too quiet to be heard by anyone other than Beast Boy, who snickered at the quip.

"Come on, let's get home." Cyborg stated. The team made their way to the entrance and walked towards the car.

"Hey, where does all the money used for repairs come from? I mean, even the bank itself has to be drained from constantly being rebuilt.".

"Ya know, I haven't the slightest idea." Jinx replied, which was seconded by the others.

"I'll fly again." Beast Boy said before taking off. Starfire instead hopped into the car and enjoyed a ride back to the tower.

The greenest Titan was the first to return. Fortunately for him, his tofu was still warm. Still, he put it in the microwave for twenty five seconds. A long beep told him his breakfast was done, which he removed and began to eat. Once he finished he placed his dished in the sink and booted up the Gamestation.

Two rounds of racing later the rest of the team finally returned. Cyborg grabbed his controller and joined his friend in gaming.

"Hey Beast Boy, I'll take the belt if you don't mind." the leader declared from the table.

"Oh, sure.". The teen unhooked the thief's belt and emptied his possessions before walking up and handing it to Robin.

"Thanks. I'll throw it in the vault later.". The Boy Wonder dropped the re-stolen device onto the table and resumed finishing his breakfast. The changeling jogged off to his room to quickly grab a new belt.

Getting to his room was less than an issue. Finding another belt was another story. He always had a few in his room, but digging through the piles hadn't uncovered one yet.

"If I were a belt, where would I be?" he asked himself like in a movie. "Of course, I'd probably be looped around a waist.". He facepalmed at the pointlessness of the question and went back to looking through the stacks of clothes.

"I really need to pick this mess up.". Just when he was about to give up, a segment of a metallic link became visible, which turned out to be what he was looking for. With a relieved sigh the teen looped the utility belt around his waist and left his room, where he promptly ran into Raven.

"Sorry Rae." the changeling apologized. One of his hands stretched towards her, which she allowed to pull her back up.

"It's fine." she offered as she dusted herself off.

"What're you up to?". "I was going to my room to read." she replied with a shrug.

"Mind if I join?".

"You want to read in my room?" the empath questioned. She knew he read, but it reading hadn't appeared to be a hobby of his, unless you counted comic books.

"Yeah. What's the worse that could happen?". If he was being completely serious, the worse he could see happening was him causing Anger to escape and possibly terrorize him for a few hours. But then again, who really knew?

"Sure. Just, stop in whenever you have what you're going to read." she responded before turning towards her room.

Once the empath had entered her own quarters, the changeling browsed through whatever books he had for something interesting. He had already been through all of the zoology, entomology, and even the microbiology tomes. But then again, Cyborg had given him a new comic he had missed in his absence, and he still hadn't read it. With his decision made, Beast Boy grabbed the bag from his desk and pulled out the fresh comic before exiting his room and making his way towards Raven's.

A/N: Okay okay, I should be getting to a part most people have been asking about very soon. Also, to all the Red-X fans: Sorry to bring him in and give him such a small role. Aside from that, I hope you enjoyed. Leave a review if you did, and make sure to like and subsci...wait, that's YouTube. My bad.
