It was already the next morning, and the fighters were now resting up after yesterday's first match. Eri was up and changed out of her clothes to find new pairs laying on her bed as she climbs out to change out of the clothes into the new ones. This time her dress was a bright brown dress, long white sleeves with a flat collar, a brown bow laced around her chest tied up, she had on a pair of long white socks up to her ankles, and light brown boots. Just as she left out of the bedroom and enter down the hallway to see Yusuke, Kuwabara, and the Masked Fighter were wide awake.

"Hey, Eri!" Kuwabara greeted with a wide grin on his face.

"Hi." She greeted in a little shy tone.

She looked over to see Yusuke eating a croissant as he gulped it down saying, "Morning Eri!"

"Hi, Yusuke." She waved at him as he smiled.

"Here. I got your food set up for you." Yusuke said holding out her plate of food right in front of her. Eri noticed that Hiei or Kurama wasn't around to eat with them.

"Where did Hiei and Kurama go?" She asked.

"I don't know. They were up before us and left to go someplace else to train, and I'm going to do the same thing." Yusuke replied.

"Okay, uh, are you fighting anyone today?" She merely asked.

"Yeah. Not right now, just a little later." He replied as Eri "oh" as she scoops up her food using a fork to eat her meal.

Outside on the island, Hiei was out near the shore of the ocean to try to train, but his arm was not doing so well. After what happened yesterday, he injured his right arm to use the dragon that was burnt very badly after mastering it. He gripped his arm hissing in pain as he crouched on his knees gritting his teeth to try to ease the pain. With Eri, she was on her own with no one to look after her after leaving the hotel. The girl didn't know where to go other than the woods right in front of her, but she had to remain cautious of her surroundings because there might be demons about in the woods that may want her for a snack.

'I could take a stroll around and make it back here.' She thought.

Eri begins to walk into the woods to take a short stroll just to clear her mind a bit. The events of the first match were still in her mind due to people she's hanging around with are killing them or either just fighting them fairly.

'Maybe I don't have to worry about them hurting me. I could trust them and they are really nice.' She thought.

The more Eri walk the further away she was to get away from the hotel, although she didn't know when the next match would start. Kurama and Hiei were sprouted around the island and there's no telling what would happen if she's alone without any protection. In the deep part of the woods, Eri manages to reach safely as she found herself near the edge of the cliff to see the seawater slanting on the side of the cliff splashing waves. She could smell the salty ocean water as she was in 'awe' at the beautiful sight until she heard someone hissing in pain and she turned her head to see Hiei down on a rock gripping his right arm in pain.

'His arm...It still hurts after what happened yesterday.' Eri thought.

She watched him gritting his teeth to suck in the pain holding in a scream that she knew that he was suffering. So, she decided to head down and check up on him to make sure if he was okay. Just as she ran down to see him, he was already off the rock and back on the land as she walked over to him.

"Hiei, are you alright? Your arm is still hurting after using your dragon." Eri asked gazing up at him worried. Hiei turned his attention to the girl concerned about why she was here of all places.

"Why are you out here? Shouldn't you be with those humans rather than risking to get yourself killed out here?" Hiei inquired glaring down at her as she shook her head.

"I-I was just walking around in the woods until I saw you hurt." She replied lowering her head a little before glancing up at him again. "I just want to check on you to make sure if you're okay. If you're fine, I can leave you alone." Hiei was surprised by her tone as she walked around him to walk away until Kurama appeared upon the tree.

The two demons glance at each other before they noticed something wasn't right. That's when they a giant robot being controlled by another demon who was in the woods ordering it to target Hiei and Kurama. The robot had long extended robotic arms that could hurt them, Hiei glanced over to see Eri was frozen into place as he caught her in his arms hearing her yelp. He set her aside to focus back on the fight as Eri watched the demons take on the robot. She was in 'awe' to see how fast they were moving and using their attacks against it, but shortly, the fight was taking it to the next level. Just as Hiei reached for his sword and land on the ground he felt pain burst through his vain letting out a painful scream Kurama and Eri were both worried until the robot arm manages to strike him into place, but Hiei had to use his other arm to create a small ball to be his attack. Luckily, Kurama had another idea and instead of attacking the robot with their attacks, they could let it attack itself while wrapping its long robotic arms around the trees to hit himself in the face. Thankfully, the robot was destroyed as Hiei and Kurama confronted the man for his causes which involved the tournament.

The demon told them that the doctor was planning to win the tournament to use mindset devices he created to control their minds. It was the only thing that they have to do since their master dying, in relief, they found him alive in a cave that they had to get to the stadium quickly. They used the robot to get there while Hiei held Eri in one arm to arrive there soon enough. Their other team members that were fighting and all injured up were still struggling to fight, but Eri could see that the three men that are students to their master were completely mindless and showed no emotion. Just like the demon told him they were competing in the ring to do it for the doctor, Eri saw one of them heading straight for her as she didn't notice that her power was activating when she touched him to return him to normal.

"Dah! What did you do you brat?" The doctor sneered.

"I-I'm sorry." Eri squeaked as she gripped her nails into Hiei's shoulder laying her head against his chest.

"You better be! You did something to my controller! A curse! That's what you are!" He spat making Eri tremble in fear recalling the words that Chisakai used to say to her.

'Every action you take results in people dying. You're a cursed human.' Chisakai said in a venomous tone.

"No..." Eri quivered as she faced away shaking her head as she felt tears trickle down her face.

"How dare you say that her." She heard Hiei speak up in a clear tone.

"What? Don't you sober over her after what you just saw her do!" The doctor snarled.

"I did. But what just rolled out of your tongue caused my blood to rise."Hiei said in a deep tone drawing out his sword while holding Eri in arms.

Just as the match ended, relief washed over Hiei and Kurama knowing that it was finally over. Yusuke was able to defeat the doctor on his own to win this round to free those mind-controlled students. As Hiei set Eri on the ground he noticed something was off about his arm that he was holding his sword without feeling any pain anymore. Did he learn how to heal himself? Impossible.

'My arm is healed. How did it...?' Hiei thought deeply as he noticed Eri wasn't by his side instead, she was with Kuwabara checking to see if he was okay.

'Did she heal me? But she's a human and there's no way she could've done anything like that?' Hiei thought with his eyes still watching her moving around to see if she was going to use her power. The more he watched her speculate what she was going to do-nothing happened.

"What did you do...?" Hiei muttered to himself staring at the back of her head.

Then, Eri noticed the master with his students as she walks over to them and grasps onto his robe to get his attention. The man looks down at the little girl as she said, "I'm glad you're okay. A-Are you feeling better now?"

The master replied, "Yes, I am."

Eri nods and asked, "D-Do you want a hug?" making the male smile.

He opened his arms to let the girl hug him as she broke out of the hug and smiled.
