A fairly tall boy, with brown hair and green eyes, stood right behind me. He smiled at me, before looking at my puzzled expression, and introducing himself.

"I'm Logan Willman. Son of Hephestaus."

"Sterling Cortez. Daughter of Nike" I said, as we shook hands.

"So you're one of the new demigods."

"Yeah, I am." He nodded.

"Here for Pegasi Riding?"

"Yes, but this is my first time, so I'm nervous." I admitted.

"I would say don't be nervous, but it wouldn't help you. So my advise is to just relax, and take it easy. It isn't too hard, and is super fun once you learn how to ride." He advised. "I'm the riding instructor for today, so get Guido, and we can wait for the others"

"Uhm...Logan. How do I, uh, get Guido." I sheepishly asked.

"Oh" He said, realization dawning on his face. "Here, I'll show you." He opened the gate to Guido's stall, and went inside.

"So Guido's already tacked up, so there's no need to do that. Now, what you do is attach the lead rope to his harness, and then you bring him out, by holding on it. It's like walking a dog, with a leash, except your walking a Pegasus. I'll supervise since it's your first time." He said, gesturing to me, and then Guido.

I walked inside his stall, picked up the lead rope, and slowly began to pull on it, so that he would start walking. Which, he thankfully did.

We continued on, as Logan walked on the other side of Guido, and stopped when we reached an open area outside the stable. This, I supposed, is where we would begin riding from.

Soon after, a few more demigods came out from the stables, each rib their own Pegasus. After everyone came, Logan told us all the basic instructions, and the plan for today. The plan was modified for me, as it was my first time. I would be doing a bit of ground work first, before I could try flying in the air. There was another instructor too, who would be training the demigods who were already familiar with Pegasi Riding.

After an exhausting one hour of Pegasi Riding, and plenty of sore muscles, I dismounted Guido with pain, and patted him on his neck, for dealing with my horrible riding skills. I brought him back to his tall, and removed the lead rope, before saying a goodbye to him.

On my way out, I saw Logan removing tack from one of the horses, and thanked him. He smiled, and gave me a thumbs up, before returning to his work.

I had no more energy to do any other activity for the day, so I decided to retire to my cabin. As I walked towards it, I realized that I was supposed to meet Thalia, somewhere, and somehow. I stopped on my tracks, trying to think up of a way to see her.

Did she have any friends at Camp? She used to come here after all, before she became a hunter. Then it must be one of the older demigods. Then, it hit me, that she knew Percy, as when they met during school, they were friendly.

So, I changed my direction, and began walking towards Percy's Cabin, hoping he was there. When I checked, it seemed that I was wrong. Where else would a son of Poseidon be? Near water, if course. There was a beach, near Camp, but I would have to walk out of camp to go there. However, the creek was still technically within camp boundaries, so I could see if he was there.

So, I began jogging towards the creek. My legs were aching so bad, but I couldn't stop. Finally, after a tortuous fifteen minutes, I got to the creek, panting. My luck was good today, because Percy was in fact, there. He was actually there with Annabeth, which I did not expect, but at this point, my only goal was to see Thalia, so I didn't want to revel on why they were there.

"Hey Percy" I called out. The couple, turned to look at me, surprised to see me there.

"Sterling?"

"Yes, it's me. Listen, long story short, Thalia asked to see me, earlier today, but she didn't mention where. So, would you by chance kno where I could find her?" I hurriedly asked him.

"Thalia asked to see you? I wonder what she wants.." Percy trailed off, before Annabeh slapped the back of his head.

"Percy" She scolded.

"Fine, fine. Umm... She could be at the archery range, training with hunters, or the Artemis Cabin. She could even be at the Arena, but my advice is to check the Artemis cabin last."

"Got it, thanks." I quickly said, before leaving, to get to the archery range.

As I got closer, I saw the hunters dressed in their usual outfit, practicing archery. But now, the range was a bit changed up. They had moving targets, and had their own bows, that they used. The most prominent thing I noticed, was how they didn't miss any shot.

Now, the real task was to go up to Thalia, and talk to her. Thing is, she's in the middle of training, and I do not want to piss her off that way. I saw a hunter nearby, who was watching the others, waiting for her turn patiently, so I went up to her.

"Umm...Hi. Uhh..Thalia, asked to, see me, earlier this afternoon." I slowly said. She sternly nodded, before informing Thalia. Thalia, placed her bow and arrows, on a weapons rack nearby, and strode up to me, as the other hunter, took her spot.

I began fiddling with my fingers, anxious. As soon ad she came near me, she stopped walking, and looked at me.

"Hello, Sterling. Percy's told me a lot about you." She said, picking her nails with a dagger, before putting it back inside, to stare at me. "He's told me how good you are at archery, for a beginner. Better than Percy, obviously, because he's quite literally the worst at archery." She chuckled, before growing serious. "But we're not going to talk about that. Now, I hear that you haven't dated,or had silly crushes or anything, right?" I nodded.

It was a partial lie, because I did have a crush on Percy, which, as of now, wasn't exactly a crush any more. I still had some sort of, liking towards him, but it doesn't qualify as a crush.

"Good. Not to scare you, but I'm giving you an opportunity, you get once in a life time. You seem like a nice girl, who has a natural talent for archery, and athletics. I think you would be a great fit. So, I'm offering you the chance to join the Hunters of Artemis." I was, appalled. Asbpluely shocked. Out of all the things she'd want to say to me, this was the last thing I expected. Walt, no. I didn't even expect her to ask me this!

She laughed, and spoke again."I know, this is a lot to take in, especially for you. But I'll give you some time to think about it. I have talked to Lady Artemis, and she approves as well. Today's Saturday, isn't it? Now normally, I would give you a few days, but since you're new, and are friends with Percy and Annabeth, I'll give you a week. We leave next Friday, so you have to tell me your decision by then. There's no pressure to join, it's just an offer. But remember, we don't offer just any female. Only those who are, or could be worthy. Also, there's no going back once you take the oath. You remain a maiden forever, and if you break your oath, I think you've hear enough stories to know what happens. See you later" She smirked, before casually walking away.

I still stood there, still in denial, but when a hunter scowled at me for sticking around longer than I needed to, I quickly fled to my cabin.

I entered, exhausted both Physically and mentally. I groaned, before falling face first into the nearest couch.

"What's wrong" I hear the twins ask. There was a pause, before one of them spoke up.

"You okay, Ster?" Holly, asked.

"No, I'm not." I truthfully told them. On a normal occasion I would lie to them but this time I didn't feel like doing so.

"Well, what happened."

"Long story short, Thalia invited me to join the Hunters of Artemis. I have to tell her by Friday, max." I said, getting up with the help of my hands.

They sat there, on the opposite couch, with their mouths wide open in shock.

"T-The Hunters, of A-Artem-mis?" Laurel stammered in disbelief.

"Tell us the whole story, now." Holly demanded. With that, I began the story ofal the events that occurred during my whole day. It took me about fifteen minutes, and took another ten minutes for the twins to believe me.

"What I do now" I muttered.

"You think about it." Laurel simply stated. I glanced at her. "I mean, really, just think about it. See the advantages, and disadvantages. How is it going to affect you. Talk to your aunt, too. She could give you some raly helpful advice." Holly and I stared at her. "What did I do?" She asked.

"That, was, the most helpful advice I have heard, that has com eout of your mouth." I told her. Her mouth formed an 'O', before she smacked me on the shoulder, pouting. I laughed.

"BUT" Hoy started "If you do leave, I will terribly miss you" She dramatiy said, facing a hand over her heart. She then did placed three fingers over her lips, and then held those three fingers above her head. The three finger salute from the hunger games. Holly maintained a poker face, that lasted five seconds, before she burst into laughter, doubling over. Laurel and I joined her too.

After that, we dropped the topic. It was still on my mind, but I wanted an evening off before I had to think about it. That evening we played a few rounds of a card game, practiced some sword fighting (to prepare me for the life of a hunter. For Hades' sake, I haven't even made up my mind!), and then went for dinner.

Dinner was uneventful, except for Chiron announcing that the hunters would be staying for another week, which I already knew.

After dinner we had the Campfire and sing-along. By the Apollo cabin, obviously. I didn't know the song, or it's lyrics, so I wasn't really singing along. Just staring at the Campfire, my mind confused about joining the Hunters of Artemis.

I slept fairly early, instead of staying up talking to the twins, or reading. I switched off the bed lamp next to my table, and pulled the covers over me, before falling asleep.
