The next Friday was the first football game. Simon and Bram decided to go together. They sat on the bleachers, pretending to watch the game. "So, when did you know that you like me?" Simon asked.

"It was a bunch of little things," Bram said, with a smile. "On the first day of school, you kind of smiled in my direction. It was ruined when that Cal Price guy walked towards you, but it was a nice moment. Everyone had ignored me, and suddenly this cute blonde smiled at me. Then there was that poem you wrote. I know it's cliche to say, but it really spoke to me. I never dared to ask you out, and I figured that senior year was too late. We'll be going to college soon, and high school relationships will be pointless."

"Then Taylor exploded," Bram said. "It made me realize that we're lucky for every moment. We can drop dead at any minute, so we can't waste our lives. I knew you were friends with Nick, so I asked him for your number."

He saw that Simon was on his phone. "Are you even paying attention?" Bram asked.

"Oh yeah, I was listening to every word," Simon said. "I'm just waiting for the Wi Luv Cox moment."

"I wasn't expecting that," Bram said, raising his eyebrows.

"Watch," Simon said, pointing at three football players. "At every game, James Wi, Aaron Luv, and Spencer Cox stand side-by-side. In the order that makes that phrase. It's funny because they're the most macho guys at school. It's a big meme at the school. I'm surprised you've never heard of it."

The boys stood in the position. Simon snapped a photo before James turned around. He threw his arms up in frustration and stormed off. The two boys shared a laugh. "You know, I remember the moment I realized I like you," Simon said.

"You like me?" Bram asked, blushing.

"Yep," Simon said. "It was when you looked me in the eyes and said 'Simon, Wi Luv Cox."

Bram clasped ahold of Simon's hands. Simon turned around, and Bram gave him a serious look. Simon knew what was coming, so suppressing laughter was hard. "Simon," Bram whispered. "Wi Luv Cox."

Simon let out a short chuckle. The lights were hitting Bram perfectly, so Simon leaned in. He placed a kiss on Bram's lip, and Bram quickly kissed back. Their lips stayed closed, but it was sweet and passionate.

They pulled away as they heard a loud boom. There was a bunch of screaming, and people rushing out of the stadium. "What happened?" Bram asked, looking around. Simon caught a glimpse of the football field.

Aaron Luv was no more. Instead, there was a puddle of blood where he was standing.
