If you get this then you are a true legend among men. I have a love for the oldies. Always have, always will. Leave your favorite classic TV show(let's say before 2000) in the comments.
Judy Hopps walked onto the airplane. She walked down the aisle and found her seat.
"Want me to sit next to the window?" Her brother, Malcolm asked.
"No," Judy said, taking her seat. "I'm fine."
Judy and Malcomed both noticed the auxiliary exit sign.
"The emergency window?" Malcome said. "Do you want to move?"
"No, it doesn't matter where I sit" Judy replied. "It's not the seat, it's the airplane."
Judy took out a cigarette. She began to light it when Malcolm held her back.
"Wait until the plane takes off."
Judy put the match out.
"Not acting like a cured rabbit, am I" She joked.
"Judy, you are cured," Malcolm said. "Now Dr. Martin wouldn't let you fly if you weren't, would he?"
"I suppose not." Judy agreed.
"If you weren't, just wouldn't let you fly all the way back home," Malcolm reassured her. "It's just that simple."
"Well, you make it sound simple, anyway."
"It is Judy."
"Yeah," Judy said." Here I am, hogging the whole state and you're so tired. It must have been awful. Taking care of Mom and Dad, bearing the full responsibility."
"Well, everything is still intact," Malcome said.
"Except me," Judy said, a faraway look in her eyes.
"Now, Judy, I'm not going to let-" Malcome was cut off as the pilot closed the doors to the plane and locked the door. The pilot picked up the phone and began to speak.
"Cabin door secured." Judy tensed.
"What?" Malcome asked.
"Just a little... abject cowardice, that's all," Judy said. Judy took a deep breath.
"I'm going to be all right," Judy told herself. "Had a teensy weensy breakdown, but now I'm cured."
"Understanding, it's wonderful." Judy continued, looking out of the window. "It isn't the airplane at all. Over-tension and over-anxiety due to under confidence."
Judy turned back to Malcolm.
"Your seat belt, mam." A flight attendant said. Judy fastened her seat belt and turned on the AC.
The deer flight attendant walked down the aisle, reminding people to fasten their seatbelts. Outside, rain pelted the windows of the plane.
"Sorry Malcolm, go back to sleep," Judy said as she fastened his seatbelt.
"Hmmm. I shouldn't have taken that sleeping pill." Malcolm said, groggy. "I should have stayed awake with you."
"No, No, No," Judy said. "I don't need you to, Malcolm. Go back to sleep. I'm alright."
"Can't you sleep?" Malcolm asked.
"I will," Judy replied. "Don't worry about me."
"Okay," Malcolm snuggled under the blanket and yawned. He quickly fell asleep.
Judy stared out the window at the rain pelting the wing. Lightning flashed, and Judy could swear she saw something. The lightning flashed again and Judy saw it.
A red fox was walking on the wing! Judy glanced at Malcolm and back towards the window. The fox was continued to stagger on the wing. Judy watched as the fox walked closer and closer. It seemed t spot her in the window, and looked at her curiously. Judy looked around the cabin. She reached up and presses the call button.
The fox continued to stare at her. she pressed the button again.
The flight attendant rounded the corner.
"Here, quickly!" Judy said.
"May I help you?"
"There's a fox out there," Judy said, pointing at the window.
"What?" The flight attendant asked.
"Look," Judy said, turning back to the window. "Look, he's crawling on..."
Judy trailed off as she realized the fox had disappeared.
"I'm," Judy stuttered. "I'm sorry. Must have been the..."
"Judy?" Malcolm said, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "What is it?"
"Oh, it's nothing," The deer said. She turned to Judy. "Can I get you anything?"
"A glass of water," Judy said in a shaky voice.
"Surely." The flight attendant left to go fetch the drink. Judy stared out the window again.
"Is something wrong?" Malcolm asked.
"No, I... I thought I saw something out there." Judy replied.
"What?"
"Nothing," Judy said, pulling the curtains closed. "I guess I need a little sleep."
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, fine," Judy reassured him.
"Don't you think you ought to take a sleeping pill now?" Malcolm asked, glancing at his watch.
"Yeah, I'll take one of those."
Malcolm reached into his backpack. The flight attendant returned and handed Judy a cup of water.
"Here you are."
"Thank you."
"Your welcome." The deer said. "Can I get you a blanket?"
"No. Malcolm?"
Malcolm looked at the deer.
"Oh, no thanks." He said. Judy put the pill in her mouth and swallowed it down with some water.
"You going to be alright now?" Malcolm asked.
"Yeah. Fine." Judy said.
"Wake me if you need me," Malcolm told her, closing his eyes and drifting off.
"I will."
Judy closed her eyes and tried to sleep, with no success. She hesitated, but couldn't handle it anymore. She moved her hand to the curtain and threw it back.
There, in the window, was the fox, his face pressed up against the glass.
It stared right at Judy, analyzing her. Judy squeezed her eyes shut and looked away.
"It isn't there." She told herself. "It isn't there."
"Malcolm? Wake up! Malcolm." Judy turned around. "Quickly!"
The deer came over. Judy turned to the window, where there were only the wing and the sky.
"Yes?" The deer asked. Judy was silent. "Can I help you?"
Judy turned to the deer.
"Are we going into a storm?"
"Just a small one." The deer replied. "Nothing to worry about."
The FA walked away. Judy took a few deep breaths.
"Malcolm?"
"Would you wake up, Malcolm?" She turned back to the window, where the fox had returned. Judy watched as the fox walked across the wind and sat down on the engine. It jumped off and walked closer to the window. It got down on its knees and began to take off an engine panel, revealing the wiring underneath.
"Malcolm!" Judy said with more force. "Malcolm, wake up."
Malcolm sat up suddenly.
"What?" Judy looked out the window where the fox had of course disappeared.
"What are you looking at?" Malcolm asked. "Judy? Is it the storm? Does it bother you?"
"No." Judy shook her head. "Malcolm, you remember what I told you before about seeing something outside?"
"Yes."
"Malcolm, there's a fox out there." Judy began to rant. Then she noticed Malcolm's stare. "Malcolm, don't look at me like that."
"Judy..."
"I am not imagining it," Judy said. "He's out there."
Malcolm began to lean forward.
"Don't look!" Malcolm stopped. "He's not there now. He... jumps away. Whenever anyone might see him."
"Except me."
"Malcolm he's out there," Judy said. "I realize what this sounds like. Do I look insane?"
"No, Judy, no."
"I know I had a mental breakdown." Judy continued. "I know I had it on an airplane I know it looks to you as if the same thing is happening, but it isn't!"
"I'm sure it isn't!" Judy said. "Look the reason I'm telling you this... isn't just to worry you. You notice I didn't tell you before."
"Well, I want you to tell me."
"I didn't tell you before because I wasn't sure whether it was real or now, but I'm sure now." Judy rambled. "It is real. There's a fox out there!"
Judy laughed helplessly.
"Look for the last time, that fox is out there," Judy exclaimed. "And the reason I'm telling you is he's started to tamper with one of the engines!"
"Look... think anything you want," Judy said. "Think I belong in a straightjacket if it pleases you. All I'm asking you to do is tll the pilots what I've said. Ask them to keep an eye on the wings."
"If they see nothing... then I'll... commit myself." Judy paused. "But if they do..."
"Won't you even allow the possibility?"
"No, I'll tell them," Malcolm said. He stood up and began walking down the aisle.
The fox began to tamper with the engine again.
"Hurry! Hurry!" Judy shouted. The flight engineer ran down to Judy. "He's out there!"
Judy explained what she had seen.
"Kepp your voice down1" The engineer hissed. Judy convinced him to look out the window. But there was nothing there.
"Well?" The engineer asked. The engineer bluffed his way through, telling Judy a lie to calm her. But Judy saw through it. The engineer and Malcolm walked away, talking in hushed tones. Judy looked and there he was, pulling up the engine plate. The wires sparked and the fox recoiled. Malcolm began to walk down the aisle. Once again, the fox disappeared.
Judy removed the pill and looked at the fox. She looked around and spotted a gun on a man's thigh. Judy jumped up and grabbed the gun after a few tries.
Judy asked Malcolm for a glass of water. Once he left, Judy sprung into action.
Judy opened the auxiliary exit. She pointed the gun at the fox and fired, fighting the wind. The bullets hit the fox and he fell. Judy screamed.
The doctors carried Judy out on a stretcher and into the ambulance. No one noticed the pried up engine panel on top of the wing of the plane.
As you can probably tell, I got a little tired at the end. This is episode 2 of season 5 on Netflix and my all-time favorite. Love ya!
