Natural Born Killer

Ezra had been gone for two months. Sabine was trying to keep herself together for her children's sake, but when Mira and Anna said they couldn't feel him, she was terrified. He had left no note, no reason, nothing explaining his actions. She wasn't worried he'd left her because of them, but maybe because of the vision. Whatever he saw, he needed time to process. For weeks she kept going with that thought in her head. "He will come back, just give him time." Then she heard about the murders.

Hera had called about a week ago asking if she knew where Ezra was. When she answered no, Hera got worried too.

"We've got a new Sith threat it seems. Luke has been trying to get in contact with Ezra, but we can't seem to get a hold of him." Hera said over the holo projector.

"We have had no word from him in two months. I've had mother send out scouts and bounty hunters to bring him home, but so far nothing. I'm getting worried Hera. The twins can't feel him in the force either." Sabine's eyes started to water. It was strange, she was never one to cry about anything, until she realized her feelings for Ezra all those years ago.

"I don't want to be the one to bring up the possibility. But do you think Ezra…" Hera stopped as Sabine shook her head.

"No, Ezra would never turn. He went darkside once, he wouldn't do it again." Sabine tried to sound confident in her answer.

"Alright, well keep me posted on his status." Hera shut off the com on her end, leaving Sabine to ponder.

"Did he really become a Sith?"

With Ezra

"My Master, I have done as you have asked." A figure in a black and red suit and dark helmet kneeled before his master.

"Well done. You have preformed admirably. Now, I have a new assignment for you." The old man said.

"Of course, Lord Ori'dush." The man removed his helmet, revealing a young blue haired man. "Your wish is my command."

"Walk with me." The two walked out of the room and through the halls. "Your transformation is almost complete. Soon you will be a Dark Lord of the Sith like myself. But first you must be rid of your old life. You told me when you came to me that you wished to save your family from me. Well, now you are going to end them yourself. It will not be an easy task, but I have upmost faith in you. Nevertheless, if you fail to do so, I shall kill them all myself, one by one."

"I will not fail you Master." Ezra bowed and restored his helmet to his head. He walked out to the once again red and black Gauntlet and took off. He plugged in the coordinates to Lothal and jumped to lightspeed. While in hyperspace, he heard a voice.

"What are you doing Ezra?" A voice said from behind him.

"What I should have done a long time ago." He shot back.

"You love, me. You love our kids. Don't throw that all away for power." The voice of Sabine was in his ear.

"You-You're holding me back. I can be invincible with this new power." Ezra was no longer himself, but lost in darkness.

"Do what you feel is right. Just remember, I will always love you." The voice faded and Ezra shut his eyes.

"This is right. This is right. This is right!" He tried to convince himself. The old Ezra was fighting his way back.

He pulled the ship out of hyperspace and changed his course. He needed to kill something. Something to keep the old Ezra in his cage. After plugging in the new coordinates, he pushed a lever up and went to lightspeed. The ship emerged in an empty sector that was vacant save for a Republic prison ship. Taking his chance, he charged the cannons and got ready to attack

"Gauntlet, this is Red 5 stand down. I repeat the is Red 5 stand down, or you will be fired upon." A familiar voice came over his com.

"Not gonna happen Skywalker." Ezra shut off his com and targeted the ship.

The large fighter rolled and fired upon the X-Wing escort, hitting all but Luke. After dealing with the escort he fired proton torpedoes. The rockets rolled around till they found their mark. With the transport gone, Ezra hailed Luke again.

"I'm sorry, Luke." Ezra said over the com. "My master will kill me and my family if I don't do as he asks." With that he launched off again leaving a stunned Luke Skywalker behind.

Pushing a few buttons, Luke called his wife. "Mara, its me. I found Bridger. He's gone dark side."

"Are you sure? Maybe it was a misunderstanding." Mara Jade said through the com.

"He destroyed my squad and the prison transport ship. I think he is heading to Lothal. Meet me there, and don't tell Hera." He said as he jumped to light speed.

Lothal

Sabine was standing on the balcony. She heard little footsteps come up behind her. Turning around she saw Mira standing in the doorway.

"Mommy?" The little girl asked. "When is Daddy coming home?"

It was such an innocent question, but Sabine had no answer. "I don't know, baby." She picked up her daughter and held her. More consoling herself than Mira. Sabine let a tear slide down he face as Mira hugged her mother's neck. "I don't know." She took Mira back inside and set her down on the floor. "Mommy needs to be alone right now, okay sweety?" Mira nodded and skipped off to her room that she shared with her sisters. Sabine smiled and turned to her room. The room that she has been alone in the last 2 months. Sitting down on the bed, she held a small holodisk in her hands. Activating it, a picture showed. A picture from her wedding day on Krownest. Swiping through them, she started crying. She found pictures of her and Ezra while she was pregnant. Pictures of the twins after they were born. Some of the twins and Celeste when she was a newborn. The twins most recent birthday. She cried harder. Eventually she made it back to their days on the Ghost. The last picture she found had a mark next to it. It was a few weeks after she returned with them from Krownest. Swiping one more time she found a note, it was dated almost two months ago.

"Sabine,

I do not want to do this, but I have no other choice. I have seen your death and the death of our children. I can't continue this path knowing the outcome. For so long all I ever wanted was to be by your side, to raise our daughters, to live our lives. Now I know that that is not possible. If I train Mira and Anna, the Sith lord will come for them. I have gone to confront him, try and stop him once and for all, or die trying. If I am not back in 3 months… Assume the worst. Take the girls and go into hiding. Hide from the Sith, or worse, myself. I saw another path in my vision. One where I fell to the darkside. If this is the case, take the children and go to the New Republic. Luke will take care of you. I love you Sabine. Always have. Always will."

This is all gearing up to something big. I was having trouble not ending it here and now, but I wanted to draw this out. Next chapter will feature a duel, I will not say who. Till then TB out.
