Cre8ivelybankrupt87: Lol yup. I'd figured people would not have expected him. He was both such a minor character, but at the same time, an important one in the movie, that I don't think people ever bothered to include him in their stories.

Team 3...

Helga and Gerald quickly made their way inside the building and quietly shut the door behind them, leaving the guard outside and completely oblivious to their presence.

"Pheebs, we're in." Gerald whispered through his ear piece. "Now how do we get to the head security room?"

"You will need to go straight down the hallway that you two are in at this moment." Phoebe directed them. "Once you get to the end, turn right and go inside the staircase. There are no cameras that are currently operational there."

Gerald and Helga wasted no time and immediately headed down the hallway. It wasn't a particularly long hallway, but given the tense and nervous nature of their mission, it seemed as if the end was a long way off. However, given that Phoebe hadn't mentioned of any guards being anywhere near their vicinity, it gave the two teens a bit of a breathing space, allowing them to relax a bit, at least until they-

"Oh no!" Phoebe then exclaimed in horror.

"What is it Pheebs?" Helga asked.

"I don't know how I missed this, but there is a guard heading straight for you!" Phoebe said.

"What? Where?" Gerald asked, now growing increasingly nervous.

"He's around the corridor, about to turn where you both are!" Phoebe exclaimed, now also panicking. "Quick! You need to find a room to hide in until he leaves!"

Gerald and Helga quickly attempted to open any door that they saw, but unfortunately all of them were locked. Every time they tried the handle, it wouldn't move.

"Damn it!" Helga softly exclaimed, now also growing nervous after her latest failure to open a door.

"Helga…" Gerald whispered at her with pure horror in his voice.

When Helga turned to face him, she saw the terror in his faces and eyes while looking straight down the hallway. When she turned towards where Gerald was looking at, her skin went completely pale and her eyes opened wide.

There, right in from of them was a guard walking towards them. Only, he wasn't looking right at them. Scanning through some papers that were in his hands, he was distracted, for now. Taking as their cue, the two teens desperately tried to open a few more doors, but each time they were only met with locked doors. With each passing failure, their fear and anxiety increased ever dramatically, as the grim reality was quickly settling in their minds; they were about get caught, and with that, all hopes of saving the neighbourhood.

But Helga wouldn't give up. Trying just one more time, she tried another door and to her absolute relief, the handle moved, allowing her to open it. She quickly turned to Gerald and gesture to him to get inside. Gerald wasted no time and immediately ran inside, then Helga and then quietly shut the door. Both teens became instantly quiet and dare no move as they listened to the guard's footsteps as it continued to approach them. The closer the guard got, the louder his footsteps began. But eventually, the guard passed the door and both teens listened with relief as the footsteps began to drift away and slowly disappear.

Gerald then gently and quietly got a chair, put it right in front of the door, climbed up and tried to take a peek through the window that was right on top of the door, trying to see if the coast was clear.

"Guys, are you still there?" Phoebe asked through their earpieces.

"Yeah, we're still alive." Helga softly replied. "Is the guard still in the hallway?"

"He still is." Phoebe said as she zoomed in the area where Gerald and Helga were. "Wait. He stopped...He just went inside in one of the rooms. The coast if clear for you guys!"

Helga then looked at Gerald, annoyed at why for some reason he was even standing on top of the chair, viewing through the window instead of listening to his earpiece. Not really bothering to say anything to him, Helga merely opened the door, prompting her to hit the chair, almost knocking him down.

"Whoa!" Gerald exclaimed when he felt the force hitting the chair and disrupting his balance.

"Ahem." Helga softly cleared her throat and gestured to him that the coast was clear and then left the room.

Gerald said nothing and just got down from the chair and followed her. Both teens left the room again and proceeded to run again towards the staircase.

"Phoebe, any guards nearby?" Gerald asked.

"Not really." Phoebe said. "They are a few on the same floor, but not close to where you guys are. You are safe to turn right and make your way towards the stairs."

The two teens continued to run down the hallway until they eventually made it to the end, turned right and after a few feet, saw the door that led to the stairs and went in. As they started ascending the stairs, both looked up and realized just how tall this building was; they couldn't even see the top floor.

"Uh Phoebe? What floor is the head security room at?" Gerald asked.

"Floor 34." Phoebe replied.

"Ugghh!" Gerald groaned. "Can't we just take the elevator?" He whined.

"No Gerald, you cannot." Phoebe replied. "The elevators have operational cameras on them. You'll just have to climb your way up the stairs."

"Ugh, I didn't even choose to do this!" He continued to complain

"Come on tall-hair boy." Helga directed him as she continued to climb up again.

Gerald just sighed and began to follow her.

Team 4...

Arnold and Peapod Kid continued to lie perfectly still inside the carrier as the caretaker continued to move it through the hallway. As much as both teens wanted to get out of the carrier, mostly due to the smell, they had no choice but to wait and see where the caretaker was taking them. They just hoped they would stop soon and it would be somewhere safe. Thankfully, they didn't have to wait long.

They then felt the carrier move a bit, as if it was turning somewhere and then it abruptly stopped. The teens were still not confident enough to peek out and so refrained from moving an inch. However, they then heard a small banging sound and then it got completely dark. Arnold then slowly lifted his head up to see what had just happened, but due to the obviously darkness around them, he couldn't see a thing.

"Peapod Kid." Arnold very softly whispered to him. "Let's slowly and quietly get out of here and see where we are and if we can turn on the lights."

"Okay." Peapod Kid whispered back.

The two teens then slowly got out of the carrier without making a sound. Because it was so dark, they couldn't even see their own hands. Trying to feel what was in front of them, both teens could feel objects around them, but that was it. At one point, Peapod Kid very nearly fell when his stumbled on something and almost lost his balance.

"Forget this." Arnold said as he then took out his flashlight, turned it on and began to scan his surroundings.

Arnold turned around in a circle as he continued to see where they were, but all he could was were a vacuum, the carrier, a mop, brooms and other cleaning products. That and there was a wall on every side. Eventually, he looked around and saw a light switch. Going over there, he turned it on, allowing the room the light up. After adjusting their eyes a bit, both realized just where they were.

"A storage room?" Peapod Kid asked.

"Looks like it." Arnold said. "Lorenzo, we're on the same floor still. I don't think we are that far off from where we entered. Is there anyone outside in the hallway?"

"Um, just give me a minute." Lorenzo said as he zoomed into the area where Arnold and Peapod Kid supposedly were. "No, no one. Those that I can see are far away from you."

"Thanks, Lorenzo." Arnold said. "C'mon. Let's get out of here." He then said to Peapod Kid and attempted to open the door...only there was nothing to grab onto and pull it.

"What's wrong Arnold?" Peapod Kid said.

"We...can't get out." Arnold said, sounding pretty dismayed. "There's no handle or anything." He said.

Arnold then attempt to just move the door, but it was locked. He tried again, this time pushing it harder, but it still didn't move.

"What do we do now?" Peapod Kid asked, looking increasingly worried.

"I...don't know." Arnold said. "Quick, try to see if there is any tool, metal stick or anything that we can use to pry this door open."

Both teens then scurried around the room to find whatever was there that they can use to bust out, but unfortunately, there was nothing there other than cleaning products and nothing handy that they could use to bust the door open.

"Ugh, dang it!" Arnold exclaimed frustratingly as he hit the wall with his hands.

"Should we ask for one of the teams to come and help us?" Peapod Kid asked.

"No." Arnold said as he shook his head. "That'll endanger the mission. We're on our own."

"Lorenzo, we are stuck for the moment. The rest of the team will have to go on without us. We'll try to rendezvous with them whenever we can." Arnold said through his earpiece.

"Okay. Roger that." Lorenzo acknowledged.

"Well this sucks." Peapod Kid said disappointedly "Our mission barely even started and we are now stuck."

Arnold said nothing and sighed frustratingly. He then grabbed a bucket, turned it upside down and sat down. Peapod Kid also reluctantly grabbed something and sat down and waited for something to happen.

After a few minutes, as they were both sitting, Arnold quietly continued to scan around the storage room, looking to see what else they can use or do to get out of there. He then looked up and saw the ventilating system, with a shaft sealing it. Remembering what happened at City Hall, he then got up and got a bit closer t to get a better look at it.

"What is it?" Peapod Kid said.

"The ventilating system." Arnold said with a sense of hope in his voice. "If we can somehow open the shaft, we can crawl inside it and get out of here. Quick! Find something that we can use to bust it open."

Both teens then scurried around the room to find some sort of stick or lever to use. Yet, there wasn't much around. Again, the only thing that they could use were the brooms and mops, but the handles were round and too thick to put in between the wall and shaft.

"Wait a minute!" Arnold said as he grabbed one of the brooms, balanced it on a bucket and while grabbing it on one end, used his foot and hit the other end hard, snapping it in two.

"Perfect." He said as he then went towards the shaft, put the broken handle in between, inserted it deep and began to pull hard.

Arnold continued to muster all of his strength to pull. With each push, the shaft became more and more loosen, allowing him to insert the handle deeper, until finally,

"Whoa!" He exclaimed when he finally managed to bust open the shaft, only for him to fall back down due to the amount of force he had to use.

"You Okay, Arnold?" Peapod Kid asked as he helped him up.

"Yeah, I am." He said. "But we now have a way out." He continued as he then attempted to climb up into the system.

"Lorenzo, we're inside the building's ventilating system. Are you able to guide us to our destination?" He asked.

"The ventilating system? Let me see." Lorenzo said as he zoomed in and typed on his laptop. "I think so, yeah."

"Great." Arnold said as he continued to make way his through it.

Peapod Kid followed suit and as soon as he climbed inside, he put the shaft back into its hole, creating the illusion that no one was there.

"Okay Lorenzo. Help us out here." Arnold softly said.

"Okay. It looks like you can get to Von Scheck's office through the ventilating system, but it's going to take you a while." Lorenzo said.

"No choice at this point. We have to keep moving." Arnold said as they continued to crawl.

Team 1 & 2...

By the time Team 3 and 4 made it inside the building, the other two teams were just making their way inside the building via the parking lot. Once they made it in and made their way toward the staircase, they started climbing up the stairs.

"Golly, it's quite a way up there." Stinky remarked.

"Ugh, can't we use the elevator?" Sid complained.

"I don't know what you're complaining about, Sid." Rodrigo said. "We have to go all the way to the 45th floor. Your stop is on the 30th floor."

"I guess." Sid said

Despite Sid's complaint, Rodrigo somewhat agreed with him and he feared everyone will tire themselves out before getting to their destinations. Nevertheless, he continued to urge everyone forward.

All four teens continued to climb up the stairs in utter silence, as they did not want to make any noise that could blow their cover. Only the steps they took made any kind of noise that vibrated upward. They climbed fast, but did not sprint, not wanting to exhaust themselves in case if they needed to run away. Eventually, they made it to the 30th floor.

"Okay guys, this is where we split up." Rodrigo said to Stinky and Sid. "Good luck to you both." He said as he shook their hands.

"Thanks Rod." Stinky said. "We'll see you guys soon."

"Yeah, see ya." Sid said a bit nervously.

The two male teens then slowly opened the door that led them inside the 30th floor and after carefully scanning the hallway, went inside and disappeared.

Team 2...

"Okay." Rodrigo said to Rhonda as he sighed. "Let's go."

Rhonda said nothing and with a still worried look, inhaled and began to follow him.

"Curly, anyone we should be concerned about?" Rodrigo asked.

"Nada. You're still good." Curly confirmed, making Rodrigo and Rhonda feel a bit better.

Rodrigo continued to climb up the stairs in utter silence. However, he soon started hearing a clicking sound. He initially ignored it, but when it became obvious that the clicking was not only not stopping, it was following him, he started getting nervous.

What the…? What's the clicking sound? He nervously thought.

Thinking that perhaps there was an operational camera that the program didn't detect, he nervously stopped and turned around. To his dismay and then later irritation, he saw that the only camera that was operational in the staircase was Rhonda's!

"Rhonda, what are you doing?!" Rodrigo frustratingly whispered to her when he saw her taking selfies!

"What does it look like I'm doing." Rhonda said as she posed for another selfie. "If I'm going to go to jail or die, I want to make sure that my fans know that I went down as a fighter, with a loud bang instead of a whimper."

"Rhonda!" Rhonda softly exclaimed, trying not to lose his patience. "This isn't the time to do it! We need to get up there as fast as possible. Why did you even bring your cell phone?"

"Well, you didn't say we shouldn't bring it." Rhonda replied as she continued posing.

"I thought that was obvious!' Rodrigo angrily shot back.

"Apparently it wasn't." Rhonda countered back. "But fine, I'll put it away for now."

Rodrigo said nothing and gave out a highly frustrated sigh before then turning around and continued on their journey.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Roddy. Got a problem." Curly then suddenly said through their earpiece.

"What?" He asked.

"Which floor are you in right now?" Curly asked.

"Uhh...34." Rodrigo answered.

"We've got two guards from two floors above you about to enter the staircase. You two better get out of there."

"Which floor can we go to?" Rodrigo asked.

"Umm…..Crap! You'll have to go back down to floor 33." Curly said. "Hurry!"

"Come on." Rodrigo quickly said to Rhonda who immediately nodded and quickly proceeded to go back down to floor 33.

Just as they reached that floor, they heard a bit of a commotion upstairs. Now on the verge of panicking, the two teens quickly made their way into floor 33.

"Rodrigo, wait! There's another guard on that floor heading your way. Find a room and get inside fast!" Curly then suddenly exclaimed.

The two teens anxiously looked around to see which room they can get inside and saw the floor's women's bathroom and made a quick dash for it, not even bothering to see if there was anyone inside.

"Come on!" Rodrigo quietly said to Rhonda as both ran inside the women's bathroom then went inside one of the toilette booth and closed the door.

With so much adrenaline and anxiety, both teens took the time to calm down and attempted to control their breathing. They waited for a few minutes.

"Curly...are they gone?" Rodrigo asked while still catching his breath.

"No. They are still there, including that guard on your floor." Curly said. "You'll just have to hang tight until he leaves.

"We don't have time for that." Rodrigo almost shot back and then slowly made his way out of the toilette booth and looked around the wall, looking for that same ventilating system. Upon seeing it, he then went inside the other booth.

"Rhonda! Come help me." Rodrigo whispered to her. Rhonda left the original booth and went where Rodrigo was.

"What?" She asked.

"Help me take this shaft off." He said

"Okay…" Rhonda said, looking confused, but nevertheless helped him take the shaft off of the wall.

It didn't too long for the shaft to come off and after some dust burst out, they saw the dark abyss that was the ventilating system.

"Why did we take the shaft off?" She asked.

"Because we're getting to Von Scheck's office on the inside." Rodrigo as he then hopped in to the hole.

"Oh no!" Rhonda softly cried out. "You're not going to drag me into another journey of rat and insect infected abyss. Look at how dark it is in there! Do you even know where to go?"

"We don't have a choice, Rhonda!" Rodrigo firmly countered. "We can't sit around and wait for that guard to leave. We need to get to that office pronto. We don't have much time."

"No!" Rhonda softly, but firmly countered back. "I'm not going to go through a system that is riddled in dust and rat droppings. Ew!" She shuddered.

Rodrigo sighed in frustration, now regretting on having convinced her to come when he should have just let her go the first time she lost her nerves. But it was too late now.

"Rhonda, you're the one who volunteered to be part of this operation in the first place." Rodrigo reminded her. "You volunteered because you wanted to prove something to yourself and to everyone that you're way more than just a socialite who spends her days gossiping and being superficial. You wanted to show the world that you are willing to take risks and put yourself on the line for others. Well, this is your chance so prove it! Now come!" He said as he then turned his flashlight on and began to crawl into the system.

"Ugggh!" Rhonda frustratingly, but softly cried out but she knew that he was right. She needed to get a grip and remind herself why she ever volunteered to part of this team. After exhaling, she tightened her hands into fists, braced herself and then hopped into the system as well.

"Don't forget to seal that shaft when you get inside." Rodrigo said to her.

Rhonda just groaned even more and then went back down to grab the dirty shaft, cringing at the mere sight of it. She then went back inside the system and then sealed the shaft from behind her.

Team 1...

Sid and Stinky made their way out of the staircase and slowly into the 30th floor. After being told that the coast was clear, they went into the hallway and then straight towards the head office security room.

"I can't believe it." Sid said rather excitedly. "We're almost there."

"Yeah, this mission didn't seem to be too hard." Stinky said. "All we need to do know now is just get inside that room and upload that virus and we're good."

"Just think of it, Stinky. We get to be heroes, just like Monkeyman!" Sid excitedly said.

"Hold on guys!" Park then suddenly said to them via their earpiece, prompting them to stop right in their tracks. "Don't go near the room yet."

"Why not?" Sid asked.

"They are there two cameras where the entrance is, not to mention one guard inside it." Park said to them.

"How do we get inside then?" Stinky said.

"Let me see…" Park said as he continued to type away, zooming into the building's structure.

"You're best bet is to go through the ventilating system." Park said. "You can just go to one of the office rooms on that floor, get into the ventilating system and you should be able to get inside."

"Okay." Sid said and both teens began to look around for the nearest office room when suddenly,

"Guys! There's a guard coming from the elevator." Park then suddenly exclaimed. "You need to find a room to hide; quickly!"

"Ah, dang it!" Stinky softly exclaimed and nervously went to the nearest room and tried to open the door.

"Oh no, it's locked!" He said.

"Over here, Stink!" Sid called out of him as he held a door opened.

Stinky ran to the other side of the hallway and just ran inside the room with Sid closing the room behind them. However, no sooner had he done that when the room went completely,

"Why is it so dark in here?" Stinky whispered.

"I don't know." Sid said. "It doesn't have any windows. What kind of office room has no windows?"

Both teens then attempted to feel what was around them.

"Ouch!" Sid exclaimed in pain.

"what is it, Sid?" Stinky asked.

"I hit my foot with something." Sid groaned. "Let's find that stupid light switch."

Finally, after searching for quite some time and after almost tumbling or knocking something due to the darkness, Stinky finally found the light switch and turned it on.

"We're in the storage room?" Sid softly asked.

"Looks that way, Sid." Stinky said as he looked around. "Look at all of these cleaning products and mops. Golly, you would think that this being a cleaning room, this would be organized instead of putting everything on the floor."

"Whatever, let's just get out of here when that guard leaves." Sid said. "Park, is he gone?"

"Looks like it." Park replied through their earpiece. "He went inside the security room, so you're okay to come out."

"Okay." Sid said and then instinctively tried to reach for the door handle, only to miss it and almost fall.

When he tried to reach for it again, he realized that...there was no door handle, or anything to grab and open the door.

"Uh, oh." Stinky sad worryingly.

"Ugh, seriously?!" Sid angrily shouted. "So much for being the hero." He sadly grunted. "Park, we've got a problem."

"What?" Park asked.

"We're...*sigh*… stuck inside a storage room." Sid embarrassingly exclaimed. "We can't get out."

"Uggh, this really bites." Stinky bitterly groaned.

"Oh." Was all Park said with wide eyes.

Team 3...

While Rodrigo, Rhonda, Sid and Stinky were climbing up the building's other staircase, Helga and Gerald continued with their ascent, thus far, unhindered.

"Pheebs, what's the status on the rest of the other teams?" Helga asked.

"Well, Team 4 was a bit delayed, but so far, everyone is reaching their targets without much problem." Phoebe replied.

"Well that's good to hear." Helga said with a smirk. "Latino boy and Rhondaloid haven't yet messed this up."

As they continued their climb, Gerald stayed silent and was giving Helga a rather suspicious stare. Helga initially didn't notice anything until she glanced towards him and saw his stare.

"What are you staring at?" She asked, feeling a bit irritated. "Do I amuse you or something?"

"Actually, ya you do." Gerald responded, surprising Helga bit with that comment. "I'm surprised you haven't given Rodrigo any issue over his friendship with Rhonda."

"What do you mean?" Helga asked while giving him a suspicious look.

Not wanting anyone to hear their comment and thus set Helga off, Gerald then took out his earpiece and held it tightly in his hand, a move that Helga noticed.

"What I mean is that I've seen the way you've been giving, let's just say, unfriendly stares at some of Rodrigo's female friends, like Carmen or Gabriela. But, you never did that with Rhonda. How come?" He asked.

Helga was a bit surprised that Gerald asking her any kind of personal question, least of all on that day! But then again, she knew that he knew about her jealousy, so she shouldn't be surprised at his question.

"Me, jealous of Princess? Ha! Don't be ridiculous, tall-hair boy." Helga dismissively replied back. "I'm going to tell you what I told Latino boy when he asked me the same question. Even though those two seem to be close, they are different people for them to ever like 'like' each other and even if they did, it wouldn't last. In any case, if he ever does leave me for Rhonda, well, then he's an idiot."

"Huh. I see." Gerald just casually said.

"Gerald, Helga!" Phoebe then suddenly exclaimed, forcing Helga to draw her attention again to her earpiece. Gerald, seeing this, put his own earpiece back own.

"What is it Pheebs?" Helga asked.

"There are two guards approaching the stairs from the upper floor." Phoebe said.

"Again?" Helga irritatingly said.

"Are they going up or down?" Gerald asked.

Phoebe said nothing and just waited and stared at the two red dots that were moving inside the staircase.

"They are descending through the stairs." Phoebe said with an ever growing worrying tone. You guys need to exit the staircase, fast! What floor are you both at right now?"

Both Helga and Gerald groaned when they saw what floor they were in.

"We're only on the 20th floor." Helga groaned. "Is it safe to go on that floor?"

"Yes, there are no guards or anyone at all on that floor." Phoebe replied.

Both teens then quickly and quietly opened the door and exited the staircase, slowly closed the door. They then scanned the hallway, looking to see which office rooms they can get inside and hide.

"Okay, let's go this way." Gerald softly said and began walking towards a closed office room to his right. However, he soon saw that Helga wasn't following him. He stopped and turned around.

"You mean this way." Helga softly said as she pointed to the other side of the hallway. "Your way leads to the elevator."

"Yes, but there's a door right there we can go inside and hide." He softly countered as he pointed to the door, which in truth, was closest to them.

"Who died made you in charge?" Helga retortedly asked. "Oh wait, I know. No one! Besides, I'm always charge and I say we go this way."

"What? When did we decide on that?" Gerald asked.

"I didn't hear you complain when you followed my plan to sneak inside here and followed me where to hide from the guard." Helga reminded him.

"I was following you because it was a good plan! That doesn't mean that you're the leader." Gerald countered.

"You don't get to decide who leads who. It's simple. I lead; you follow." Helga attempted to assert her authority.

"Helga, we're supposed to be a team here." Gerald countered. "But if you really want to go there, if anyone gets to be in charge, it should be me. I'm the cool headed, less impulsive one."

"Pfft! Please." Helga said dismissively. "I've been the one coming up with ideas here. Even Latino boy realized it and eventually fell in line."

"So?" Gerald said.

"So, the person who comes up with the plans gets to be in charge." Helga said.

"What?! That's ridiculous!" Gerald exclaimed. "Just because you came up with the plan doesn't mean you have leadership skills. And besides, your so-called 'brilliant' plans most often seem to land you and others in hot water." He continued as he rolled his eyes.

"um, guys…" Phoebe began to speak through their earpiece.

"Hold on, Pheebs." Before Helga cut her off. "Hey! I'll have you know that my plans always get the job done!" Helga exclaimed back at Gerald. "Wasn't it my plan to infiltrate this place in the first place?"

"You mean the plan that's going to land us in prison for breaking into a multi-billion corporate building? Gerald shot back. "Good plan, Helga." He said sarcastically.

"Hey! Let's stick to the facts here." Helga said, now getting irritated at Gerald's questioning. "My plan to infiltrate this building, not to mention evading from getting caught has gotten us this far tall-hair boy, way further than your little 'plan' to organize a protest with football head at City Hall. You both stumbled and fell down before the race even began with that plan."

"Okay, guys…" Phoebe again tried to speak,

"Hold on, babe." Before Gerald then cut her off. "We would have succeeded in our protest had your boyfriend not decided to go rogue and do Mission Impossible on the same building on the same day! And besides, at least he, Arnold and I were trying to do something to stop Von Scheck. What were you doing that whole time?" He scoffed.

"Okay guys I think you really need to…" Phoebe for the third time calmly tried to speak,

"Just a second there, Pheebs." Before Helga again cut her off. "What was I doing? I was staying out of it, like a mature, wise person would do. Unlike you paste for brains, who just follows football head like a little..."

Phoebe tried to remain calm throughout this whole time, but with each interruption and their failure to even listen to what she had to say was now driving Phoebe to the boiling point. With each passing second she grew more and more angrier at them. For years she watched her best friend and boyfriend butt heads. They never liked each other, that much was certain. Neither of them were ever able, or willing to see the other person's viewpoint or perspective. Helga had always believed Gerald viewed her with a critical, if not also disapproving eye, never trailing far to remind her of her past deeds and mistreatment of him, his friends and especially Arnold. Gerald in turn was never able to fully understand how a person like Helga can be vicious, immoral, angry, aggressive, spiteful, while also be kind, compassionate, loving and extremely loyal at the same time. In his eyes, she was always the same girl who used to roam the halls of PS 118 and rule the fourth graders with an iron fist, despite the many attempts Arnold and Phoebe tried explain it to him. Even when Helga began dating Arnold, both he and Phoebe tried many times to get them to reconcile and act civil. Unfortunately, they only achieved the latter...to some extent. Their animosity reached a critical point when an incident occurred a few years ago that led to Phoebe seriously consider terminating her friendship with Helga. It was only through a serious effort by her, as well as support from Arnold and Gerald that prevented her from doing that. Yet even after that incident, Helga and Gerald continued with their hostility.

It was only when Rodrigo came into the picture did things finally start to somewhat improve. Helga managed to finally apologize to Phoebe for that incident, allowing the two best friends to fully reconcile and move on. Through Rodrigo's rational explanation and influence, Gerald began to see more and more of the type of Helga that Arnold and Phoebe had so often tried to get him to see. And it was on that fateful Friday in March when Helga finally opened to everyone about her relationship with Arnold that Gerald finally saw that other side of Helga; that deep, sad, vulnerable side that she tried so hard to hide. By seeing that and through Helga's initiative to want to end their feud, Gerald was finally able to let go of all past grudges and allowed them to finally reconcile. Well, to some extent. Despite that breakthrough, they still butted heads, albeit civilly this time.

Now Phoebe had to watch with utter dismay, embarrassment and extreme anger on seeing those two fight it off one more time and at the worst possible time! It seemed that even with the neighbourhood in jeopardy and the entirety of this whole operation resting on them succeeding in their mission was still not enough to entice, or even coerce them to work together.

"Don't call me paste of brains, noodle head!" Gerald angrily shouted at her.

"Noodle head? Is that the best insult you can come up with? Sheesh, your lousy at this." Helga snickered.

"Whatever! The point is you're too rash and impulsive to lead, not to mention that your plans are just crazy." Gerald fired back. "Arnold told me about a time when you snuck into his house just to-"

"I told that stupid football head about that in confidence!" Helga angrily cut him off.

Phoebe just stood silently and grew and more and more angrier. She had originally hoped those two would be mature enough to settle their differences and work together, just like how Rodrigo and Arnold did. For years she remained by the sidelines, giving them the space and calmly and quietly giving them the mental tools and information to settle their differences without getting to 'intensely' involved, to no avail. As she continued to listen to their immature and now annoying bickering, Phoebe began to seriously scowl and grin her teeth in utter fury. She tried to remain calm, but she was no longer able to tolerate it. She had finally reached the end of her ropes.

"Ooohh will you two just shut up!" Phoebe then suddenly and angrily shouted at both of them with an aggressive, snarling tone. "Listen you two, now's not the time for one of your childish bickering moments. Both of you are going to stop fighting like a bunch of children right now and start acting like proper adults!"

Her high level of anger and change in tone completely startled not only Helga and Gerald, but also Curly, Park and Lorenzo, who all went completely quiet. Curly, Park and Lorenzo just turned around and silently stared at her with a shocked look in their faces.

"Uh..." was all Gerald could saw, feeling completely stunned by his girlfriend's sudden aggressive tone.

"Um..." Was all Helga could say, equally stunned at her best friend's sudden change.

"I have been watching and listening you two do nothing but complain, fight and argue with each other for years and I am sick of it!" She continued her rant. "We have a neighbourhood to save and I'm not going to allow you two lunatics to mess that up just because you both can't get along!"

Both Helga and Gerald still said nothing and just stared at each other in shocked.

"Now you are both going to get a grip on yourselves and start working together as a team, or God so help me, I will commandeer this van, drive it all the way up there and go kamikaze on you both, UNDERSTAND?!" Phoebe continued her aggressive rant.

"Uhh...yeah…" Was all Helga could let out.

"Yeah…" Was all Gerald said.

"And another thing!" Phoebe continued to berate them. "None of you are in charge! I'm the one who sees and knows where everyone is in that God forsaken, pestilence of a building and I'll be the one who will gain control over its security system once that virus gets uploaded!"

"Uh actually, that's going to be me-" Curly attempted to intervene.

"SHUT UP, CURLY!" Before Phoebe angrily yelled at him and interrupted him.

"Right, right, so right." Was Curly said as he quickly and sheepishly backed down.

"So, I'm the one who's in charge! Got it?!" Phoebe then directed her anger back at Helga and Gerald as she, with an almost snarling noise, breathed heavily, finally letting out all of that anger and resentment that she had been accumulating all of those years.

Helga and Gerald just stood there, completely taken back and feeling very, very small at that moment as Phoebe had just chewed them and spit them out.

Phoebe then spoke again, immediately reverting back to her calm demeanor and soft tone. "Oh, the two guards that were in the staircase just went into another floor. The coast is clear again. You both may proceed." She said to them a bit cheerfully.

Both Helga and Gerald still remained frozen after being chewed out by Phoebe like that. However, they then took a quick glance at each other and with an acknowledged frown for a truce, swallowed their prides, quietly went back inside the staircase and began to climb up again.

Phoebe, fully relieved on letting all of that frustration and anger out, gave out a small sigh, but then felt she was being watched. She turned around and saw her team staring at her with wide eyes.

"What?" She retorted back at them. "You have a problem with what I said?!"

"No." Lorenzo nervously said and went back to facing his laptop.

"Na uh." Park nervously said and also went back to work.

"Hell no." Curly said with a big smile on his face. "Who-ho-ho-ho-ho, you sure showed them. I didn't know you had it in you." He continued with a chuckle.

"I didn't know I had it in me either." Phoebe shyly admitted. "But it serves them right for fighting at the worst possible moment." She continued, now sounding a bit stern.

Curly said nothing and with a big, impressed smile, silently went back to typing on his laptop. Phoebe also turned around and starting typing again.

Team 4...

Arnold and Peapod Kid continued their way through the ventilation maze. However, their progress was slow, way slower than originally thought. Apart from the fact that it was dark, dusty, filled with spider webs and dead insects, the teens had to content with the system becoming completely vertical. Thankfully, it was only vertical a few floors before it became somewhat horizontal again, allowing Arnold and Peapod Kid to climb up and give them time to rest. Yet even with the fact that they were able to crawl their way without fear of getting caught, it was proving to be too exhausting and slow, not to mention that due to the fact that the ventilation system was metallic, them crawling created loud banging sounds. Worse still, it got to a point where neither teen, not even Lorenzo was able to pin point their exact location.

"Peapod Kid, do you know which floor we are in?" Arnold softly asked him. "I lost track."

"Uh, I think we are on the 6th floor, but I'm not sure." Peapod Kid replied.

"Really?" Arnold exasperatingly said. "Ugh, we're going to way too slow. We need to get out of here."

Arnold had previously seen a few ways to get out, but fearing they might be heard or might get out at the wrong room, he opted to continue. But now, with time rapidly becoming an essence, he could no longer continue with their current situation. Arnold turned around and went back down the tunnel hey were in, trying to find a way out. At this rate, he was willing to try any exit, regardless of where it led them to.

Eventually, Arnold saw some lightening up ahead and becoming hopeful, made straight for it.

"Follow me." Arnold said to Peapod Kid.

As the two teens got closer to the exit, they had to slow down their crawl and gently press their hands and knees on the metal in order to not create any loud banging noise. This only unnerved Arnold even more as he wanted to get back on track, but eventually made it to the end.

Arnold took a quick peek to see where the exit led them to. Thankfully, it was an empty office room. Convinced that this was where they would exit, Arnold then quietly got out some tools and began to unhinge the shaft from the wall. Although had to make some noise, he was eventually able to bust the shaft open, but the metal barrier soon began to fall to the ground, risking in making a very loud sound. Arnold instinctively reached for it and just in the nick of time, managed to grab it mid-air.

Breathing a sigh of relief, he then cautiously began to descend down and into the empty office, with Peapod Kid following suit. After carefully putting the shaft barrier back, Arnold then quietly opened the door and peeked through the hallway.

"Lorenzo, can you let us know if any of the cameras in the hallway are operational? I think we are in floor 5." Arnold said.

"You think?" Lorenzo said confusingly. "Let me check."

Lorenzo then zoomed on the digital blueprint that was the building to get a better look on his laptop.

"If you are indeed on level 5, then you should be okay. However if you are on level 6, then no. That floor has cameras all over. Are you sure you guys are on level 5?"

Arnold then looked at Peapod Kid for some sort of confirmation.

"Based on my calculation, I am 93% sure we are on level 5." Peapod Kid confirmed.

"Only 93%?" Arnold asked with a worrying tone.

"It was hard keeping track which floor we were through the ventilation system." Peapod Kid said.

Arnold let out a sigh and thought if they should risk it or perhaps go back inside the ventilation system and try another floor. After thinking about it, he decided to risk it.

Cautiously, he opened the door again and after looking around quickly, made their way out of the room and ran to the nearest door that led them to the staircase. Arnold and Peapod Kid thought of nothing else other than trying to make it to that staircase, hoping, no praying, that they were on level 5. Both teens then turned a corner and saw, to their relief, the staircase. Wasting no time, they quickly went through the door. Arnold then looked at the sign and with much relief, even joy, saw that they were indeed on level 5.

"Lorenzo, were in the staircase at level 5." Arnold said to him.

"Okay great. But, which staircase?" He asked.

"Huh?" Arnold said confusingly.

"The building has three staircases. One are on each side, while the third is at the back. So, which one are you?"

"I...don't know." Arnold said frustratingly.

"You guys need to tell me where exactly you are so I can properly guide you." Lorenzo stated. "I don't want to guide in the wrong direction."

"I know. Just, hold on for a second." Arnold said began to mentally retrace his steps.

"Hold on, Arnold. We can't hear anyone coming up or down." Peapod Kid then suddenly said. "Aren't the rest of the team suppose to be using the other stairs?"

"Yeah. So?" Said Arnold.

"So, if we can't hear anyone, then that means that we must be on the staircase that's at the back of the building. I know we're a bit delayed, but the rest of the teams can't possibly be that ahead, especially Rodrigo's team"

"Yeah, you're right Peapod Kid." Arnold said. "Lorenzo, did you hear that?"

"Copy that." Lorenzo confirmed.

"Right, we're back on track. Let's go." Arnold said as he and Peapod Kid began to climb up.

Team 2…

Rodrigo and Rhonda continued their way through the ventilation system, crawling and trying to avoid the spider webs and dust balls that they occasionally encountered. They weren't really sure where the causeway was going to take them, but they hoped it would take them somewhere up. Their venture had barely began when Rodrigo suddenly stopped, prompting Rhonda to collide with him.

"Why did you stop?" She asked, but Rodrigo initially didn't respond.

"Um, Rodrigo?" she asked, this time sounding a bit nervous. "Everything okay there?"

"No, everything is not okay." Rodrigo sourly responded. "This stupid system goes vertical from here on in...all the way up."

"How much is 'all the way up'?" Rhonda asked.

"Let's put it this way; I can't see the end of it, even with my flashlight." Rodrigo responded. "There's no way we can climb up all the way to the top of the building. It's too high up and we'll get exhausted before we even get close to the top." He continued as he turned around to face Rhonda, allowing her to see his frustrated and almost disheartened face.

"What do we do now?" She asked.

"I don't know." He responded, almost defeatedly. "I guess we'll just have to go-"

*SWOOSH**BANG*

Suddenly, a loud noise was heard right beside them as something big moved up and past them, startling both teens.

"Jeez! What was that?" Rhonda exclaimed.

"I think that was the elevator." Rodrigo said as he then went closer to the shaft door that was almost right next to them in order to take a closer look.

"I see a square size causeway going up and down." Rodrigo described it. "It has big cables right in the middle of it. Yes, it's the elevators!"

"But I thought you said the elevators have operational cameras inside." Rhonda said.

"They do, but not on the outside." Rodrigo said rather excitedly.

"Come again?" Rhonda asked with a raised eyebrow.

"If we can just hop on top of one of the elevators that's going all the way to the top, we can get there in no time flat." Rodrigo explained.

"What?! Are our crazy?!" Rhonda shouted at him in horror.

"Oh yes, definitely." Rodrigo merely responded.

"Rodrigo, that sounds very dangerous." Rhonda said nervously. "What if we slip and fall, or if we get crushed or mangled? It's too dangerous and I didn't sign up for this. I want to help people, but not if it means risking my own life for-"

"Rhonda, listening to me." Rodrigo then suddenly interjected when he saw her clearly distressed, if not scared, even going so far as to grab her by the shoulders in order to comfort her. "Everything is going to be okay." He reassuringly said to her, looking straight in her eyes. "I'm not going to allow anything to happen to you, okay? We're a team and teams look out for each other. No matter what happens, I have your back."

Rhonda initially said nothing and just continued to stare deep into his dark-brown, piercing, yet highly confident and genuine eyes. Reassured by his commitment to keep her safe,

"Okay." She finally, but reluctantly said.

"Okay." Rodrigo also said before then letting her go and then making his way back to where the shaft was. Using his legs and putting his back up against the other side of the ventilating causeway, he started kicking it hard. He kept on trying again and again, until finally it became loose. With his hands, he then busted it completely open and put it to the side. He then peeked his head out a bit to make sure the elevators were not approaching them.

"Okay. Follow me very carefully and do what I do." He said to Rhonda who only just nervously nodded.

Rodrigo stepped out into the elevator causeway. Seeing a ledge that circled around, he stepped on it and began to move to the side while having his back tightly against the wall. Rhonda saw what he was doing and imitated him, carefully and very nervously placing her feet on the ledge and moving cautiously around, while also having her back tightly against the wall. After giving Rhonda enough space for her, Rodrigo stopped right at the corner and then waited for the elevator to come up.

"Whatever you do, don't look down." Rodrigo said to her, to which Rhonda only nodded. "No, I really mean it!" He spoke again, this time more firmly. "Don't be like one of those people on TV who looks down right after they were told not to."

"Alright, I won't." Rhonda almost retorted back. "How long do we have to wait?" She asked.

"Not long, I hope." Rodrigo responded

Luckily for them, they didn't have to wait long. Soon, they heard something from below. As she was instructed, Rhonda didn't look down, but Rodrigo did.

"Okay, it's coming up." He said. "When I say so, we jump on it, got it?"

Again, Rhonda only just nodded.

"Okay, on 3. 1...2..." Rodrigo began to count as he watched the elevator go up and up, getting closer and closer to them. "3!"

Both teens then immediately hopped on top of the elevator just as it was approaching them. Both managed to grab on to something that prevented them tumbling around. Rhonda leaped and when she grabbed onto something, instantly closed her eyes. After a few seconds, she opened them up and saw that she was safely on top of the elevator, going up.

"Oh, this isn't too bad." She said, feeling relieved.

"Yeah." Rodrigo responded, also feeling relieved.

However, their euphoria was short lived. After only going up a few floors, the elevator then stopped. Rodrigo expected this, but hoped it would continue to ascend after. After waiting for a few seconds, he lowered his head to hear the elevator voice.

"Going down. Please stand clear of the doors." He heard the elevator voice say.

"No!" He exclaimed in frustration. "It's going down. We need to get off, fast."

"Really?" Rhonda asked, equally frustrated, to which Rodrigo nodded.

"Yes, right now. Come on!" He softly exclaimed as he then leaped out and landed on that floor's ledge.

Realizing what Rodrigo just did, Rhonda acted fast and also leaped out from the elevator, just as the elevator started to descend down and landed on the ledge. But just as her feet touched the ledge, she quickly lost her balance and slipped from it.

"AAAAHHHH! RODRIGO!" Rhonda screamed in terror as she began to fall backward.

Rodrigo immediately looked back and in mere seconds, instinctively, leaned forward, grabbe her by the hand and using his other hand, grabbed on to one of the cables that was not moving while keeping his feet on the ledge. Rodrigo tightly grabbed on to Rhonda's hand and holding on with dear life, tried to maintain his feet on the ledge and his other hand on the cable, despite her weight. Rodrigo could only grunt and groan in pain as he felt his feet buckling under the pressure of trying to hold onto his own weight and Rhonda's.

"Rodrigo, please don't let me go!" Rhonda hysterically screamed at him with absolute fear and terror in both her voice and face. "I don't want to die, not like this! Heck, I'm still too young to go!"

"Rhonda!" Rodrigo called out to her, despite the pain he was feeling on his legs and feet.

"Just please don't let me go!" Rhonda continued to plead with him, cutting him off and now tears dripping down her face from her eyes. "I don't want to die! I just want to go home!" And then started to hysterical cry.

"Rhonda, listen to me!" Rodrigo again called out to her, prompting her to stop talking, although she continued to cry.

"I've got you, alright? I'm not going to let you go!" He frantically, but also firmly said to her. "I promised you that I'd have your back and that's what I'm doing. I'm not going to let you go. I promise you that you will go home, okay?! I promise!"

Rhonda, while still crying, sniffed a bit and after letting out a whimper, nodded.

"I nearly lost you for what I did and I'll be damned if I'm going to lose you now!" He continued to speak, this time a bit emotionally. "I'm not losing you, you hear me?!"

Although surprised by that, Rhonda was still gripped with fear, but managed to calm down a bit, enough for her to stop moving around. However just then,

"Aaahh!" Rodrigo then suddenly yelled in pain as his hand that was grabbing onto the cable slipped, but then managed to grab it again in a split second, but not before scrapping his hand on it, cutting his palm.

"What's wrong?" Rhonda asked, as she started to regain some of her composure.

"My hand." Rodrigo grunted in pain. "I cut it on the cable. But it's okay, I'm not letting go."

Despite the seriously precarious situation she was in, Rhonda had regained enough calmness to see the amount of pain Rodrigo was going through just so he wouldn't let her go. Seeing him trying with all of his might to hang to her, as if his own life depended on it, not just hers, she couldn't help but feel a bit moved. But, she also realized that unless something was done, both of them could fall to their deaths.

Rodrigo then looked around to see how they can get out of this predicament. He had to think of something fast because he couldn't hold on to her for much longer. He felt his hand holding onto the cable slipping again and his feet were really hurting him. As he looked around, he saw that the elevator that descended down had virtually disappeared, making that route suicidal. He then managed to look behind him and saw that there was square like gap, about a feet deep. Coming up with an idea, he turned his head around to look back at Rhonda.

"Okay listen." Rodrigo then said to her. "What we're going to do is get to that square-shaped gap that's right above and behind me. It's safe and it'll give us time to catch our breath."

Rhonda, even while still having tears going down her cheeks, just nodded.

"The cable." She then said to him. "Swing me towards the cable. I will grab on to it and them climb up. Okay?"

"Got it." He complied. "You ready?"

Rhonda, after wiping away some of her years in her eyes with her other hand, nodded.

"Okay." He said and then began to swing her front and back.

Rhonda attempted to grab onto the cable but failed. It took a few swings, but she finally managed to grab onto it and once she had a firm grip, let go of Rodrigo's hand and held onto the cable for dear life. Rodrigo left out a sigh of relief as he felt a huge weight was lifted from his body, literally. With his other free hand, he held onto the cable and then let go of the ledge and held onto the cable.

"Okay. Let's climb up." He said to her and then began to climb. Rhonda, while still gripped with terror, followed up.

Both teens continued to climb up until Rodrigo was right above that square like shape space. Then, using he cable as a type of springboard, jumped and as he began to fall, managed to grab onto the ledge and pulled himself up.

"Okay, Rhonda." He said when he was safely inside. "Jump."

"I...I don't think I can!" Rhonda almost hysterically exclaimed. "It's too far. I'll never make it."

"I'll catch you." He said.

"B-B-But what if you don't? I'll fall." Rhonda nervously said to him.

"Rhonda, I said I'll catch you." Rodrigo firmly said again. "I'm not going to let you fall. We're going to leave this place together, I promise you."

Rodrigo then looked around and saw there was a handle on the side that he can use to hold himself with one hand and use his other hand to catch Rhonda. Despite his injured hand, he grabbed it and readied himself.

Rhonda still held onto the cable tightly, refusing to budge. Too afraid to take such a risk, she made no attempt to move or even prepare herself. However, she then looked at Rodrigo's eyes and saw how just how sincere he was about what he said. She knew he had always been a resilient person and would never make any promises he couldn't keep. The piercing, determined look in his eyes was enough to finally instill some sort of trust in him. Regaining some confidence, she nodded and then began to prepare herself to jump.

Rodrigo patiently waited for Rhonda to get herself ready. He said nothing to her and made no attempt to push her, for fear of making things worse for her.

"Okay." She said to him. "On 3."

Rodrigo nodded.

"1...2..." Just before she said 3, she took a deep breath and braced herself. "3!"

She then leaped, using the cable as a springboard towards Rodrigo. Rodrigo in turn just fully concentrated on where her hands were and just as she was getting closer, managed to grab onto her tightly and using the handle, pulled her up into the space.

After ensuring she was safely inside the space, both teens finally fell to the ground and began to breath heavily, feeling completely exhausted and dazed over everything that just happened. What was only a few minutes felt half an hour of the most intense, emotionally driven, highly stressful situation any of them had ever experienced. They almost died, how could they not?

Rodrigo, who was calm throughout, now showed just how terrified he was about almost seen his friend fall to her death. His hand, which was still holding onto Rhonda's, began to shake uncontrollable.

It took both teens a few minutes to calm themselves down a bit, enough for them to hear Curly who had been trying to get a response from them.

"Guys, what's going on?!" Curly frantically said. "What happened?!"

"We're...okay." Rodrigo finally said while still shaken. "Just had a near-death experience, but we're okay."

"Just...give us a minute Curly...please." Rhonda also said while panting.

Curly took the matter seriously and refrained from talking for the moment.

"Stupid question." Rodrigo began to talk while still breathing heavily. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." Rhonda softly replied. "I mean that was a stupid question, but...I'm okay."

"Sorry." Rodrigo said while still breathing heavily. "This was not a good idea."

"You think?" Rhonda retorted. "Can we go back and find another route now?"

"Yes, let's." Rodrigo agreed.

"Are you okay?" She then asked him. "Your hand was shaking."

"You-You nearly fell, so no, not really." Rodrigo said with a bit of a shaky and emotionally tone. "But, I'll manage."

Both teens spent a few more minutes lying on the ledge, trying to regain their composure. It took Rhonda a while, but once she managed to calm down, she eventually realized what Rodrigo just did for her.

"You...you rescued me." Rhonda said to him with a highly surprised tone, even starting to smile a bit. "You...you risked your life just to save me."

"Of course I did." Rodrigo replied. "There was no way I was going to let you fall. I would never let anything happen to -" *gasp*

Rhonda didn't even wait for Rodrigo to finish and instantly hurled herself at him and gratefully gave him a big, tight hug, shocking him.

"Thank you." She happily and gratefully said to him with a big smile on her face as she continued to tightly hug him.

He really does care...She happily thought.

"Rhonda…" Rodrigo barely managed to breath out her name. "...can't breathe…" He gasped.

"Oh, sorry." She said, finally letting him and allowing the Latino kid to breathe again.

"It's...okay…." He said as he continued to catch his breath.

Rhonda waited for Rodrigo to breath normally, all awhile smiling at him. Once he was okay, she then leaned and hugged him again, this time not so tightly.

"Thank you." She said to him.

Rodrigo, despite still being a bit out of breath, just hugged her back; feeling grateful that she was okay.

"Does that mean you forgive me?" He asked.

"Are you kidding me?! I ever nearly fell because of you." She angrily retorted. "But," She then lowered her demeanor. "because you did save me in the end, I guess you're off to a good start." While still hugging him.

Rodrigo said nothing and just smiled while hugging her back.

"But, if you ever drag to do something like that again, I'll throw you off the ledge myself." She then suddenly said to him with a warning tone.

"We won't." He agreed as they let each other go. "Come on, let's get out of here."
