Sofia entered in Kyoya mansion as morning came. The boy was waiting for her in his small living room near the entrance.
The boy was sitting on a chair with his buddy on the next one.
"Early as you said," the boy commented with a small smile.
"You have found Jackknife," Sofia stated as she saw on a chair in front of them.
"Yes. It took a long time to detect the energy of the Star Dragon, but we finally managed to find it," Azi Dahaka said.
"Where is he and why did you need me to come here? Should you have contacted Tasuku?" the girl asked curiously.
"We would do it if they weren't a few things that needs your help in this situation. The Omni Lord who took Jackknife is one than even we have some… unappreciation if you know what we mean."
"I don't get it," the girl admitted it.
"Anyway, as for your two first question," the boy started as he crossed his fingers, "Jackknife has been sent to the future."
"W-what?" she asked in disbelief.
"Yes. They are currently in the future. In a time away from us. We cannot reach them as long as they are in the future. It is pretty far away and we cannot wait for our time and their time to join," Azi Dahaka commented as they crossed their arms.
"O-okay… Can it even be possible to go to the future like that?" she couldn't comprehend that. It was something she deed impossible to do.
"I don't get it either, but that is not the point. The monsters from other worlds has special ability and as an Omni Lord, he might be able to pull some trick like that. Who knows what they could really do with magic anyway?" Kyoya raised his shoulders.
"Fine. So, they have to find a way to traverse to the future in order to save him," Sofia concluded as she nodded at them.
"Yes, the how is a big question we cannot help them with," Kyoya thought.
"However, the solution shall be quickly brought to them. And when they found it, Sofia, we want you to go with them to that future," the three-headed dragon said.
"Why? Isn't it risky that I go with them while Yamigedo and Gratos are around?" she asked them.
"Not at all. You are just… spying on them," Kyoya gave her the simple and perfect excuse.
"They do not know you are trying to do anything against them and you are in another time when you will be gone. He has no way to have his eyes on you," the darkness dragon reassured her. He showed a piece of paper, "Take this. You are going to need the coordinates."
"Alright. I'll do it," she stood up and grabbed it. She saw that it was written with some kind of golden scriptures. The girl could only guess that it was written by the Star Dragons.
"But be careful. The future might be dangerous. While you are here, take note of anything that you see there and watch Variable Cord," the boy began.
"A Star Dragon world like him is quite fishy. With the little things we managed to get from the Star Dragons, we got just a little. A little is something dangerous about a Star Dragon. Especially when they were cooperative," Azi warned her.
"I will keep an eye on him," she replied.
They continued to talk a little more before the girl went to accomplish her mission.
Episode 38: To The Future
Tasuku was up and he was checked on his cellphone on the previous message he missed yesterday. He had been busy against simple criminals with monsters on their side. Nothing standing out of the ordinary, almost just like before Yamigedo and his demons showed up. It had been a few months already as he thought back. Not only that, but it had been a while since he last saw Jackknife.
His thought went to his friend who disappeared. He was in a bad state the last time he saw him. He didn't want to be separated from his friend, but he had no choice in the matter. He couldn't do anything, "Where are you Jack?" the boy wondered once again.
He read the messages and noticed he got one from Gao. He quickly read it and realised that they found two of the missing Omni Lords, "Kiri was an Omni Lord," he whispered.
"What is it?" Demios asked as he joined him.
"I got some news from Gao. They found two other Omni Lords and a Cavalry Knight. I just didn't expect my friend Kiri to be one," he admitted. He thought back and saw no signs of it. He'll ask Gao later for more detail.
"That's surprising that one of them was among you this entire time. What about the other one?"
Tasuku read the rest of the message, "He said that he is waking up and Kiri is watching over it so he wouldn't cause trouble. I guess we might have to go there once he wakes up," he closed his phone as he finished reading the other messages.
"Any progression in Jackknife?" Demios asked.
"Nothing. I got nothing from Commander I or anyone else. Maybe he is somewhere no one can find him," he sighed as he went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
"As I said, I promise I'll help you reunite with him Tasuku," the darkness dragon reminded the boy as he helped him prepare everything.
"I know and I'm really grateful for your help."
"You are wondering why I'm helping you right?"
"Yeah, but it's okay. I know it's not for a bad reason," he let out a small smile as he took some eggs to cook them.
"I sure hope we find him soon. You are feeling worse than when I first met you Tasuku," he gazed back and looked outside their home.
"Yeah. I'm really worried for him. I told you that he was really hurt when we were separated right?"
"Yeah."
"I think I might have felt better if he was okay. Who knows if he is feeling better or not?"
"Don't underestimate him Tasuku. He is my rival and defeated me. He won't go down without a fight."
The boy nodded and replied, "Yeah. He wouldn't go down like that. Thanks."
Once it was done, they ate together their breakfast. Once it was done, they were getting ready to go to the Buddy Police Force headquarter. He grabbed his bag and was about to leave when someone knocked at the door. The boy stopped and wondered who it might be. Tasuku knew it wouldn't be Gao as he came back pretty late. Once he opened it, he saw Sofia at the other side. He lightly frowned and asked, "What do you want?" he realised he forgot to ask how she found his home. Although Demios might have told his ruler about it. Maybe.
"I wasn't expecting a cold welcome. Anyway, I came here for Kyoya and Azi Dahaka. I have an important message for you."
"What is it?"
"We managed to find Jackknife," the girl told him.
"J-Jack," he slowly said with a bit of disbelief and hope. He wanted this to be real, "I'm not drea-" he winced when his buddy pinched his arm.
"No, you aren't. So, you found out where Jackknife is?" Demios said.
Sofia nodded, "Yes," she gazed at the side, "Azi Dahaka managed to get a few information's about the location of the Omni Lord. Knowing that he is with Jackknife, it was the best way he could find any clue about it. He had some help from the star dragons in the matter. As for where they are… It will be hard to believe, I did too," she looked in the boy's eyes, "Jackknife is in the future."
All she got was a long silence from the boy and the darkness dragon.
"Did my ruler really say such a thing?"
"Yes. It seems that some dragons have special power. The Omni Lord Variable Cord seems to have that power," she explained and hoped they would understand.
"If he said so, then it must be true," Demios grumbled, still having trouble to accept that those they were searching was in the future. At the same time, he might have to leave his buddy soon. Still, he vowed to find Jackknife and he won't fail that mission. What would come later, he had an idea and shall express it when the time came, "Do you have a way to anything to go where they are?"
"No idea," she replied as she raised her shoulders, "He said that the solution will present itself soon," she put her hand on her forehead, "Don't ask."
Tasuku closed his hands, he felt already better knowing where he was, "Then let's go to the Buddy Police Force Headquarter, maybe they have a way to reach the future."
Demios grabbed his hands and asked, "Do you even think they had an idea how to do that?"
"No, but we have to tell the others," the boy replied.
"I'm coming with you," Sofia said.
"W-why?" the boy wondered.
"Because Azi Dahaka and Kyoya wants to know what the futures looks like and mostly to keep an eye on Variable Cord. Azi Dahaka doesn't like that the star dragons were cooperative with him when it came to search him."
"It might be because he is the Star Dragon Omni Lord," Tasuku guessed as he walked outside of his home. He stopped as he waited for them to follow him.
"Tasuku. I believe there is more to that. My master is our ruler and our relationship with star dragons are… not downright destructive at best," he crossed his arms.
"We don't have time for that anyway. We know where Jack is and this is our only lead," he said. He went and took the deckcase for Jackknife with him.
The two walked outside of the apartment and the boy closed the house.
The boy took the lead, heart filled with hope. Demios made sure to be by his side. He knew that things won't be that easy if they managed to reach it. His instinct was telling so.
The three went into the Buddy Police Force Headquarter. At the entrance, they noticed Paruko and her buddy Takosuke waiting for the elevator.
"Hi Paruko," Tasuku said.
"Hi there and- What is she doing here?" she pointed at Sofia.
"She came here because she gave my buddy some important news about Jackknife," Demios replied as he crossed his arms.
The elevator opened and the five went inside.
"Takochu?" Paruko's body asked.
"Hum?" the dark dragon didn't understand what he said.
"He asked what you learned. I can see that is it important. I mean, I can just see you having a little more energy than usual," the pink-haired girl commented, "So, what is it?"
The boy was a little nervous to reply.
Not Sofia, "Azi Dahaka and Kyoya manage to learn that Jackknife location is currently in the future. If he wants to help him, he has to find a way to travel in the future."
Paruko had a deadpan face as she replied, "Since when do you try to be funny Sofia. This is not you at all," she put her hand on the girl's forehead, "Maybe you're sick."
Sofia lightly blushed as she pushed the hand away and replied a little emotionally, "I'm not sick. Just don't think something wrong like that," she turned on the side and crossed her arms, "I am fine. Not sick. Not at all," she insisted a little too much. She sighed and replied, "It's exactly what Azi Dahaka learned and this is what they told me."
"So Azi Dahaka is trying to have a sense of humor?" the other girl asked, her deadpan face still clearly there.
"Takochu," Takosuke grabbed the shirt of his buddy and lightly pulled.
"No! He was serious about it."
"What is it buddy?" Paruko asked.
"Takochu!"
"W-wait. It's possible? Seriously?"
"An Omni Lord has greater power than you can imagine Paruko. So, traveling in time is a possibility," Demios told her.
"Why didn't you say it sooner?" the white-haired girl asked.
"I was fearing it was turning into a female fight," the leader of the Purgatory Knight gazed at them and dramatically stated, "You never stand in the middle of a female fight if you value your life."
No one disagreed.
"Anyway, we need to find a way to go to the future and save Jack," Tasuku concluded.
"Takochu!" he waved his tentacles.
"W-what? What do you mean you have a way to travel to the future?" Paruko asked taken aback.
"R-really?"
"In an elevator… We find a way," Sofia commented, completely surprised by this turn of event.
"Takochu!"
"Well… I guess we can help you save your buddy Tasuku," she gave a thumbs up, "You can count on us. Still, we better tell the commander about it," she scratched the back of her head.
"Yeah," the boy agreed.
"It's for the best," Demios concluded as the door of the elevator opened, "Those things are really slow."
"Yeah," the others agreed as they walked out of it.
"Better than having my legs destroyed by climbing 40 floors of stairs," Paruko added.
"You tried that?" Sofia asked. She got no answer, but it was implied that her answer would be a yes.
They reached the Command Center and Commander I was organising the patrols with Stella.
The five wondered how they could explain everything and were nervous about it.
"I'll explain," Sofia declared as she approached them.
"There you are," Commander I said as he greeted them, a little busy with the organisation to look at them. Once he was satisfied with the decision, he turned towards them and noticed Sofia, "Hello Sofia."
"What's going on Tasuku?" Stella asked.
The two adults knew something was up if Sofia was in the command center.
"There is a lot that we just learned before coming here," the boy replied.
"I'll explain. Please, do not ask how this is possible. It's something Omni Lords can do," she explained without giving the context first.
"Well… Okay," the two replied, unsatisfied by the explanation.
The girl explained everything she learned from Azi Dahaka and Kyoya, before adding why she came here and her purpose in the mission.
"Jackknife is in the… future?" Stella asked in disbelief.
"I can barely believe it," the commander replied, still wanting to trust her words like Tasuku seemed to do.
"I can," Count Dawn replied as he walked in the room, "Variable Cord is an Omni Lord who is capable of such thing with his power bestow upon him as he became one of us. However, he cannot go that far in the future without exhausting himself," he gazed at the group, "Alas, no Omni Lord has the mean to traverse into the future to find your buddy and-"
"Takuchu!" Paruko's buddy raised his tentacle.
"Y-you have a way?" the Omni Lord asked, taken aback.
"Takuchu!"
"It's our only hope to do something about it. We can all go to the future and bring back Jack," the boy said.
"Not so fast Tasuku. Even if you are going to the future, you cannot expect the present to remain where you left off," Count Dawn said.
"W-what?" the humans asked.
Demios crossed his arms, "I don't get it either. I think he means something like, if you are going in the future, it's like teleporting to another world. You go to a point and when you return to your world, it's to the same place."
The Omni Lord grabbed his beard and saw his chance to explain it better, "Yes. Let's say it is a portal like those to traverse between worlds. Tell me Demios, when you return to your world, is it exactly the same as you've left it?"
"W- N-No. It's not. I mean, days passed by when I am on Earth and-"
"It might be the same with traveling in time. Variable Cord did it a few times and when he came back, it was always a few minutes later or the next day," the vampire monster explained as he raised his finger, "If everyone is going there, then there is no one to protect the world if Yamigedo's demons or himself goes to the offensive. Time still moves forward."
"Isn't returning at the exact moment a thing of time travel?" Stella asked.
"Only in your movies. As long as you are in the universe, time only moves forward, even when traveling in the future."
"How do you travel in the past?" Paruko asked.
"That's impossible," Count Dawn bluntly replied.
Every conception they had about time traveling was shattered.
"So, we can go to the future and save Jack, but not everyone," the boy thought.
"I'll come with you. Azi Dahaka wants to know what you are going to see there," she told him.
"I'll come with you. We will record everything to show everyone later," Paruko said while her buddy showed his camera.
"And you can count on me to protect all of you," Demios said.
"There is no one else we can send with you," Commander I said.
"Everyone has been sent on patrol to watch over the city. With Gao's report, we also have to keep an eye on them," Stella added without giving precision as the white-haired girl was with them.
"Gao also his buddy also needs to rest. They came home late and he might not be at shape to follow you to the future," the commander added.
"Quite the predicament," Sofia commented.
"We have to go anyway. I can't just wait to help Jack," the blue-haired boy admitted as he gazed at the exit.
Commander I sighed as he adjusted his glasses, "Fine. You surely would have gone even if I say no anyway."
Count Dawn nodded, "You will need to be ready for anything. It might not be that dangerous, but you cannot let your guard down."
"I am not someone who would let my buddy down Count Dawn. As a Purgatory Knight, I will give you my words that I shall protect him."
The Omni Lord nodded.
"We'll be careful," the boy said.
"I also promise you that me and my buddy will make sure to stay out of trouble," Paruko said.
Takosuke replied, "Takochu!"
Sofia said, "I have my deck to defend myself and stay out of trouble. We will go for the discreet option to stay out of trouble."
"Be careful everyone," the commander said as the group left the command office.
Stella turned towards the Commander, "Do you think they really are going to be okay?"
"I don't know. With our situation, everything can happen. This is the future we are talking about. I have no idea if it is or not safe," he replied.
Count Dawn sighed, "I have no idea either. The future is a limitless possibility. One simple decision can change everything. Only Variable Cord can really get what is going on in the future, but he isn't the type to share that information."
"Then there is nothing we can do to help them from here," Stella sighed.
The group sighed and wondered if everything would truly be okay.
"Where are they going to get the means to traverse in the future anyway?" Commander I realised.
The others were quiet as they wondered that themselves.
"Are they going to Hero World?" Stella asked.
"Then we have nothing to worry about for them. No one in hero world you get in the way of saving a friend," Count Dawn replied.
The group were in Hero World and they followed the squid monster.
Paruko looked around and asked, "This is what Hero World looks like?"
"That is not what I was expecting myself," Tasuku admitted.
Demios, in his realm form, ignored the gaze he got, "There is a lot of bar here."
"Being a hero is a stressful job and they are so many heroes in this world," Sofia commented.
"And I thought adults had drinking problem in our world," the boy commented.
"I thought so too," the girl admitted.
"Booze is never bad when you have a bad day," the darkness dragon commented, "It often goes out of control when it is during a party, but this isn't the case here. They have to be ready to go into action at any times."
"Takuchu!" Takosuke pointed at a large building.
"This is it," Tasuku said as they entered in the large building.
They stopped when they saw it was a giant spaceship. It also looked more like a giant version of the saucer Takosuke was in.
"It's really big," Sofia admitted.
"If he came on Earth with this, we would have thought it was an alien invasion," the boy commented.
"Indeed," the darkness dragon added.
The alien monster opened the door and the group went inside.
The two humans had a feeling they were in a sci-fi when they saw all the things that were inside. The dash board of the command room was filled with switched to press on and screens to see the status of the alien saucer and anything else. It also had a detector to find bad guys.
"Takochu!" he pointed at it as he explained what was inside.
"A villain detector… Really?" Paruko asked. Her buddy nodded, "I know it's hero world, but this is going a little too far in the hero thing."
"Agreed," the other two humans replied with a deadpan gaze.
"That's their world gimmick. Anyway, we should look around too much. Remember what Count Dawn said. The time we are in the future matters in the present," Demios raised his claw as he approached the other monster.
"Once we are in the future, we will begin to record everything we see. Everything will be important. Maybe we might learn how to stop Yamigedo or where he is hiding," the pink-haired girl suggested as she adjusted her glasses.
"Yeah. We should do as much as we can while were there," Sodia admitted.
"Finding Jack is the first thing to do," the boy replied.
"Of course," his buddy said.
"Takochu!" the monster began to press on the computer and began to search for something.
"Here. You are going to need this to find them quicker," she gave a piece of paper, hoping the monster understood what was written on it.
The alien read everything quickly and began to press on the computer for the coordinates. He searched for more details and eventually, he turned around and asked them to follow him.
They walked in the long corridor of the ship until they entered in another room. They could see a large machine in the middle that looked like a teleporter. That was all the human could think at first sight.
"Takochu!" he presented it, while holding a remote on one of his tentacles.
"It is a machine that will send us to the future. He said that we can go once we are ready. He also has a remote to bring us back here when we have to go," she pointed at the remote.
"Good. We cannot go to the future and be trapped there forever," Demios commented.
"Let's go," the boy said.
The monster pressed the coordinators put on the computer and the machine took life. The light shined in the middle of the teleporter.
"Is it safe?" Demios asked.
Tasuku already went into it, I'm coming Jack!
"Tasuku!" his buddy grunted before rushing behind him.
The others did the same and jumped in the portal that closed up behind them.
Once the group jumped out of the portal. They saw Tasuku was just standing there and watched the horizon with disbelief on his face.
"What is it Tasuku?" Demios asked before he saw what his buddy was seeing. He turned around and asked Takosuke, "Are we really on Earth?"
"Takochu!"
"He says yes," Paruko said quietly as her eyes could look away from what she witnessed.
The group saw a city in ruin. The buildings were destroyed and desolated. Most of the skyscraper were gone or badly damaged. There was nothing that showed that humanity still exist. Just that they did. They were plants starting to grow, but were short in size as if it had problem to turn into large plants or trees.
The sky wasn't looking better. It was dark. It wasn't just the clouds, but something else ominous about it. It was as if darkness and evil itself covered the sky, so that no one could see the sun anymore.
"This is horrible," Sofia commented in state of shock, before recovering and said, "We have to look for Jackknife. He is with Variable Cord."
"If anything, happen to him…" Tasuku clenched his hands.
"We will make him regret it Tasuku, but for now… We have to find them," the darkness dragon said.
"Guys… Yamigedo's… there," she pointed at the horizon.
They quickly turned towards it and they saw a giant monster on the horizon. The Great Fiend was simply standing there and doing nothing. It simply stood on its feet and gazed at the wrecked city.
"It feels like we are seeing the apocalypse," the pink-haired girl grabbed herself and gulped nervously. She wasn't expecting something that bad to witness. She looked at the other girl and the boy, "Am I seeing it right?"
"Yes," Sofia replied.
"You can soften the yes a little!" she yelled nervously, "It cannot be our f-future right?"
"I'm not certain. Maybe we made some wrong decisions, but maybe it's not definitely the future," the darkness dragon replied.
"Y-yeah. This… This might not happen," she sighed as she stood up.
"Let's go. We waste enough time," Sofia said.
"She's right," Tasuku nodded as he began to walk.
"Yeah. We find Jackknife and we get out of here," Paruko said.
"Takuchu!" he showed his camera and began filming around.
"Yeah. We got to record this too," she put her hand on her forehead and continued forward.
The group walked towards the corner of where they stood on. It was the roof of a tall building.
Demios grabbed Tasuku and Sofia before he jumped down. Paruko held on the saucer of her buddy.
The group landed on the ground and they continued to investigate the ruins of the city.
"How far are we in the future?" Sofia wondered.
"Takuchu!"
"Around two or three decades… If I understand correctly," she replied.
That was not good news. Even people who would want to say it wasn't their problem, it would totally become their problem. If they were among the survivors.
"I don't see any traces of anyone. Neither monsters," Tasuku concluded.
Demios sniffed the air and looked around, "I don't smell anything either. There is nothing around us. I… I really don't like it. It feels a little like some abandoned places in Darkness Dragon World."
The group was a little nervous as they proceeded forward. Tasuku wouldn't let the danger and the risk pushed him away from finding Jack. He was so close now. He couldn't give up.
"Shut… I hear something," Demios grumbled.
The group searched for a place to hide. The darkness dragon pointed at a tunnel and they went inside. As they ran, they heard,
"Did you find the preys?" one asked quietly.
The other one was much louder, "No. Those two managed to escape. Where are they? I'm hungry!"
"Shut up and keep searching. They could hear us," the first one whispered.
The footsteps went away from their position.
"Looks like they didn't find our stench. We should keep going under," the darkness dragon suggested.
"Maybe Jackknife is in this tunnel…" Paruko tried as she looked around. She saw something written and said, "W-we are in the underground station, of T-Tokyo," she pointed at the sign.
The group read it and knew it was their hometown that had been destroyed.
"Is… the rest of the world like this?" the pink-haired girl asked.
"We don't know and it's not the most important. We shouldn't try to risk finding out if everything is in ruin," Sofia replied.
"Let's go," the boy said. He took the lead and his buddy was right behind him.
The five walked in the tunnel and when they reached the railroad, they jumped down. They looked at the two directions they could go.
The dragon sniffed the air and pointed at their right, "I think I got something over there. Maybe a dragon, but it can be one of the demon's of Yamigedo."
"I assume they are all free and wandering around. Maybe those two we heard are demons," the girl suggested.
"And the preys? Think it's a survivor?" Paruko asked, hoping it would be a negative answer.
"Probably," Tasuku guessed. He wanted to turn around and help them, but they didn't know where the two could be. Demios didn't find any stench, so the demons went in the wrong direction. There was no point in taking a useless risk.
"I feel like this place might be haunted, with how quiet it is," Sofia commented as she took her cellphone to have some light. They entered in the tunnel and they were barely any lights.
The other two did the same and Takosuke used his flashlight on his camera to guide them forward. Demios had no trouble seeing in the darkness, as it was his element.
"We are like in one of those horror movies you humans make," the dragon commented.
"Takochu!" the pink monster nervously yelled.
"But we know it's real and the monsters serving Yamiegdo are the enemies hunting us, if they knew we were here," the white-haired girl reminded them before they lose their calm.
Paruko took a deep breath and asked, "How are we going to bring back Variable Cord in the past? And yes, I'm asking it because I don't want to think about that movie thing!" she yelled nervously.
"He either accept or we use brute force," the darkness dragon cracked his bones as he let out a small grin.
They weren't sure if it was okay for the dragon to grin like that. Tasuku was the one who minded the less about it, his buddy was somewhere and needed his help. He continued forward with the others behind them.
"Too bad we have nothing to find Jackknife faster," Paruko sighed as she gazed at her buddy.
"Takochu."
"Nothing," she sighed once again.
They reached the end of the tunnel. They climbed back on station and went towards the stairs. They went outside, but carefully looked around and estimated their locations.
"We are closer to the Buddy Police Force station… Or what remains of it," the pink-haired girl commented as they couldn't see it. It might be obvious that Yamigedo and the demons destroyed it. They were against them.
Demios sniffed the air and tried to find the scent of Jackknife or another dragon who had a strange one. Maybe a scent of metal often associated with a Star Dragon.
Sofia looked around and climbed on the remains of a house and looked around. She tried to see if there was anything, but saw nothing standing out.
"If they are survivors… I think they would hide underground if they want more chance to escape and survive," Sofia suggested. She climbed down and joined them.
"Let's keep searching," Tasuku said.
The group continued their search and looked around if there was anything that looked like a dragon who had green scales or a golden dragon of great side. They had little hope to find any of them.
They stopped when they heard two voices yelling. It seemed that someone was in trouble.
Tasuku's instinct kicked in and he turned towards the source of the voice, "Some needs help."
"From what I heard; it seems children are in trouble."
The sound of the two demons they heard earlier echoed in the distant.
"The hunt begins!" one yelled.
The boy and his dragon buddy frowned. The boy immediately charged. He flew in the air with his buddyskill and left the others behind.
The darkness dragon yelped and said, "Wait Tasuku!" he took his real form and charged forward. He couldn't keep up with the boy's buddy skill.
Paruko, her buddy and Sofia looked at each other's. The pink-haired girl asked, "S-should we follow them?"
"Yes. We can't fight, but if they need help," she showed her deck case.
"Let's go then," the first girl said a little nervously.
The three went towards the others as fast as they could.
Tasuku searched around and heard the voice of the children once again. He went as quickly as possible. Even if it was a future they could change, he wouldn't ignore them when he could have done something. He noticed two small dots with two larges. He knew the demons were getting closer to the two possibly children, "I will hunt those demons down."
The boy reached the scene and saw two children, a boy and a girl chassed by two demons. They were soon to be cornered by the monsters who were quickly closing in on them. He didn't wait for a second and tried to took out a gear card. He grabbed his sword and charged. He slashed near the demons and landed in front of them. He raised his head and grunted, "You will leave them alone!"
The two demons looked at each other's a little confused, "A- A human is fighting us?"
The humanoid lizard with brown and green scales and short brown horns. He had two massive black shields with spikes on his hands, "That's hilarious."
The humanoid lion next to him had yellow fur and orange mane. He wore a few black plates with spikes, drills and a blade on his left bracelet and his helmet, "Let's crush them."
Tasuku prepared to swing his sword, but the monster shoved him on the side and sent him on the ground. He rolled and avoided the next attack.
The demon lion activated his drill and went towards him, but Demios appeared and blocked it with his sword, "I will not let you hurt my buddy."
He pushed it away and prepared to fight them.
"B-buddy?" the lizard demon asked.
"The guys who got destroyed by our master," the humanoid lion chuckled.
The darkness dragon pointed his sword at them while the boy went by his side. He checked at the two children quickly and said, "Run!"
The two did so. The boy grabbed the girl and pulled her away.
Demios didn't like their odds as he prepared to fight, "I'm not sure we can take them together."
"Once they are away, we will retreat," Tasuku replied as he prepared to charge.
They heard a voice yelling loudly, "Stay away from him!"
The boy face lightly had a smile on his voice as he recognised the voice. Just hearing it made him let a tear coming out of his face.
A green dragon with an armor came and stood between the demons and the boy and his current buddy, "If you try anything on Tasuku! I will crush you!"
"Jack!" the boy sobbed, before focusing on the demons on their way. It had to wait as they were ready to fight.
