Alex and Erik left the Fairy Tail group to find where they were keeping her magic. "Do you even know where they would be keeping your stolen magic?" Erik asked her. "You said this didn't happen before."
Alex grinned, her fangs showing slightly. "I know my magic anywhere," She said. She closed her eyes to focus on her magic. Alex felt an enormous surge of her magic and smiled. "I found it," Alex said when she opened her eyes.
"Lead the way, boss," Erik said, looking at her. Alex nodded and ran down the hall. Every time they stopped at a crossroad, she searched for her magic and made the appropriate turn. When they reached the room her magic was being stored in, they paused.
"We didn't run into any guards on the way here," Alex pointed out to Erik. "Is anyone in there?" She wanted to be ready in case there were guards.
Erik listened and nodded his head. "That jackass who hurt you before is guarding it," he confirmed. "Looks like the kingdom was expecting you."
"Is he alone?" Alex asked. When he nodded, she grinned. "Perfect." She used her lightning to blast the door open. She ran into the room, Erik following behind her. Axel leaped from the ceiling and tried to hit Alex with one of his darts.
Alex smirked and dodged the dart, ready for it. She threw her lightning at the man before he could throw another one at her. Thinking quickly, the man absorbed the lightning with his spear. "You won't catch me off guard this time," She swore.
Axel swiped his spear across his body, sending an arc of lightning after her. She merely absorbed the lightning and walked closer to him. "You took away my Demon form and tortured me with my element. Don't think I plan on letting you off easily." She grabbed the collar of his shirt and threw him into the wall.
"Looking forward to it," Axel smirked. He absorbed the next burst of lightning she launched at him. "Anything you can dish, I can send right back to you." He turned his head to see Erik about to break the lacrima holding Alex's magic. "Ah, ah ah." He sent a wave of electricity at Erik, knocking him into the wall. "Can't have you messing with our power source, can we?"
Alex snarled and formed her Thor's Hammer, her eyes glowing red. "Leave him alone!" She flew over to him and swung her hammer at the Demon hunter, striking him in the shoulder. She grabbed his spear when he tried to hit her again and yanked it away from him.
"Not so tough without your little toy, are you?" She smirked and snapped it in half. "Rampaging Thunder Wave!" A cascade of lightning came down on Axel. Before he could recover, she grabbed him by the throat and sent another surge of lightning through his body.
"You fight for your king?" She demanded. "You think you're saving your world by destroying ours? You took Fairy Tail. You took my comrades and family for your world's gain." She growled and threw the man to the floor. The man was sore, and he struggled to get up before she could get over to him. "You don't deserve the magic you all stole." She stepped on his back to prevent him from getting up. "Don't leave," She said, her tone mocking. "The fun is just beginning."
"You need to stop, Fairy Girl," Erik warned. "We're not here for your revenge. We're here for your magic."
"He stole my magic," Alex retorted. "He helped take our guild members, including our teammates and our home." She glared hatefully at the man in her hand. "I may not be able to do anything to the king, but I can hurt him in the name of our guild."
"Do you think the guild would be happy to hear you killed someone," Erik asked, frustrated. "You know as well as I do, they would be devastated." He was silent for a moment. "You need to release your Demon form. It's corrupting you." When she didn't respond, Erik growled, annoyed. "Dammit, Alex! If you don't release this form, I'm knocking you out until we get home. I won't let you have a death on your conscience."
Alex growled in annoyance and sent a blast of electricity through the Demon Hunter, knocking him unconscious. She released her Demon form and looked to the man she had just beat up. She frowned when she saw how much damage she had caused the man.
Frustrated, Alex walked over to the lacrima and smashed it. Erik walked over to her, the lacrima pieces crunching underneath his feet. "Are you okay?" He asked, reaching for her shoulder.
"Let's go find the others," Alex said, walking towards the door and away from Erik.
"We need to talk about this," Erik said, walking behind her. "The person I just saw was not the same person my team, and I have been living with."
"What is there to talk about?" Alex demanded, walking towards town. "I almost ended a guy, and you stopped me. End of story." Alex crossed her arms and continued walking through the royal city. She was embarrassed by her actions in the chambers and wasn't in a rush to discuss them with the Poison Dragon Slayer.
"You can't shut me out," Erik said, walking up and putting a hand on her shoulder. "You made a mistake. Now you need to tell me what made you lose control."
Alex sighed and leaned against a wall. "I remember reading about my magic," She said. Erik leaned against the wall beside her. "The book said if you try to learn it too quickly, it could quickly take over the user. And you usually gain the ability from a book or a demon. But I'm not even from Earthland. And I had this magic when The king took me from my world." She closed her eyes, frustrated. "So I don't even know how I gained my Devil Slayer Magic."
Erik nodded thoughtfully. "So you constantly using your Devil Slayer Magic may have caused the corruption of your Demon form." Alex nodded. "I don't think you should use that form anymore," He suggested.
He half-expected her to protest, so he was surprised when Alex just nodded. "That form is dangerous," Alex agreed. "I can't believe I almost killed someone back there." She looked at Erik and smiled. "Thanks for talking me down. I don't want to think about what could have happened if you didn't."
Erik smirked and stood up. "No problem. It's the least I could do after you gave my team another chance." He pointed his head to the capital. "We should see if we can find the others. They might have gotten themselves into trouble."
Alex nodded and followed him to the center of the capital.
With Edolas Fairy Tail
Edolas Lucy looked out to the cliffs, impatient. "Damn, he's slow," she muttered.
"Hey, you call out to her," Edo-Gray said to Edo-Natsu.
"R-right," Edo-Natsu said. "H-Hey, what are you doing there?" He asked. "Everyone's waiting."
"I'm waiting for my informant," The blonde said. "I need the latest information... if I'm going to convince everyone, anyway."
"Convince them of what?" A girl asked, walking up behind the trio. They looked to the girl, her short blonde hair framing her concerned face. "What are you planning, Lucy?"
"Amber," Edo-Lucy said, surprised. "I didn't know you were back. How was the job with Laxus?"
Amber smiled. "It was good. We finished the job quickly. Now, what are you planning?"
"Ever since those off worlders showed up, Lucy has been uptight," Edo-Gray said, smiling.
"Yeah, it's been making everyone nervous," Edo-Natsu added helpfully.
"You're all just a bunch of spineless cowards!" Edo-Lucy snapped.
Amber rolled her eyes at the trio's antics. "What does this have to do with Fairy Tail?" She demanded.
"The off-worlders are members of a Fairy Tail from their world," Edo-Lucy explained. "They want to free their friends from the lacrima the king has."
Amber nodded. "And you want our Fairy Tail to help them?" When Edo-Lucy nodded, she grinned. "Then I'll help you talk to them once you have all the information. We will help them."
Edo-Lucy smiled. "I knew I could count on you." She looked out to see her informant, Edolas Gajeel, coming up on his bike. "About time you got here," she said when he stopped. "What's going on?"
"I got a little busy," he said, smiling. He told Edo-Lucy about the off-worlders and what they were planning.
Amber looked in the direction of the castle in concern. "We should get to the guild then. We don't have a lot of time."
"Are you crazy?" Edo-Gray asked when Lucy and Amber started walking to the guildhall. "We can't openly fight against the kingdom."
Back with Alex
"Alex!" Lucy shouted when she saw Alex and Erik walking through the palace. She was riding her friend Coco's Legion. "Boy, am I glad to have found you."
Erik looked at the beast the blonde was riding. "What is that thing?"
"It's my Legion," the young girl sitting beside Lucy said.
"We need to get to Natsu, Gray, and Erza," Lucy said. "They were trying to get the Dragon Slayer magic to release our friends."
Alex nodded, and they climbed onto the Legion beside Lucy. The Legion flew to where the Dragon Slayer magic had blasted a hole in the roof of a tower, and it broke the walls.
"Natsu! Erza! Gray!" Lucy shouted. The trio was fighting guards and trying to get the machine turned off or redirected.
"Lucy?" Gray asked, surprised. "Where are you?"
"Did you turn into the monster?" Natsu asked, confused.
"Just get on," Lucy stood up, annoyed.
The group climbed on the Legion. "Can we stop it?" Natsu asked, referring to the Dragon cannon.
"We should be able to," Lucy confirmed. "Alex should be able to help with her Devil Slayer magic." She turned to see the mentioned girl had crossed her arms and shook her head. "What's wrong? And why aren't you in your Demon Form?"
"Fairy Girl here won't be able to help like that, Blondie," Erik said, crossing his arms. "The Demon part is messing with her head, so can't use that form for a while."
Erza nodded. "Don't worry. I'm sure we can handle this without you." She looked at her teammate when she nodded to confirm the unspoken question. "You and Erik can stay with Coco while we take care of the cannon and our other guildmates."
Alex crossed her arms. "I can still help," She insisted. "I just won't be able to be in my Demon Form.
Erza smiled, amused. "I know. But I think you've interfered enough for one day." She looked at Erik. "Keep her here. I know she's still tired from what happened earlier, even if she won't admit it."
Erik nodded and leaned against the Legion."Don't worry, Titania. I'll keep her up here with me."
The group flew up to where the lacrima was. "Hurry!" Natsu shouted. "We can't let it crash!"
The Legion crashed its head into the lacrima island, hoping to stop it. "It's no use!" Gray shouted when he saw the island wasn't stopping.
"Everyone!" Erza called. "Release your magic power!"
The Fairy Tail team pushed their magic into the Legion in an attempt to help. Natsu ran up to the creature's head and started pushing the island himself. Happy and Gajeel managed to climb down to help keep the island away from Extalia.
"Where's Wendy and Carla?" Erza asked.
"They went to warn the cats about the lacrima," Gajeel said. "Wendy wanted to try and save them in case we didn't stop this lacrima."
"It's not working," Gray said, frustrated.
Natsu jumped off the Legion and started pushing against the two islands to keep them separated. The other members quickly followed. Erik grabbed hold of Alex's arm to prevent her from trying to join them. Alex glared. "They need us down there," she insisted. "What kind of Fairy am I if I let my friends do all of the work?"
"The kind that listens to her friends when they say stay out of it," Erik retorted. "Titania wanted me to keep you up here, and if I have to knock you unconscious to do that, I will." Alex crossed her arms but stayed on the Legion with Erik and Coco. "I may not be able to help physically," Alex said. "But I can lend them my magic." She focused her magic on her guildmates to lend them her power. They watched as Fairy Tail pushed on the lacrima and the exceeds came down to help protect their home. The group was able to push the lacrima away from Extalia.
When the lacrima was far enough away, it glowed brightly. When the glowing died down, the lacrima was gone. The island it was on and the Dragon Chain slowly disappeared. "It has been returned to Earthland," A voice said. Alex and the others looked to see Mystogan standing on a Legion. "I searched for the remaining tear from the giant Anima to return everything to the way it was. I apologize for my lateness. Without everyone's help, I wouldn't have made it. I give you my thanks."
"The way it was?" Happy asked.
"That's right," Mystogan confirmed. "The lacrima has passed once again through the Anima and returned to how it was in Earthland. Everything is over."
Hey everyone! So I'm so sorry about how long it took to get this chapter out. I suffered from some writer's block and it was giving me fits. Hopefully, the next chapter will be the last of the Edolas arc. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I promise to get the next chapter up much faster than this one.
