Luz was in her coffin, reading through the vampire book when someone knocked. She opened the lid and saw Skara and Boscha.
"Hey, Clawthorne, we need to talk." Boscha said.
Luz got out of the coffin and looked at the two.
"Luz, it's been a week. There has to be something we can do." Skara said.
"I'm sorry, but there isn't a cure. If there was, I would give it to you guys." Luz said.
"Well, what can we do? My parents are getting curious as to why I only go out at night." Skara said.
"My parents are wondering why I always have blood on my lips." Boscha said.
"I don't know, okay. My birth mom seemed okay with it when Eda explained it. Maybe you guys could tell your parents?" Luz said nervously.
"Are you insane?!" They yelled.
"My parents wouldn't want their only child to be a vampire!" Skara said.
"My parents would stake me!" Boscha said.
Luz was trying to think about what to do, when.
"Luz! You have a visitor!" Eda yelled.
"Coming, mom!"
Eda would never admit it, but being called 'mom' warmed her heart. Luz went downstairs and looked up.
"Who is it, m-" She immediately went stiff, "Wh-what is he doing here?!"
Eda walked over to Luz and brought her to the kitchen.
"Okay, honey, listen. Your Aunt Lilith has told me that he won't hurt you, I don't really believe that, but I won't let anyone harm you." Eda said, "Trust me, okay?"
"Okay, I trust you, mom." Luz said.
Luz walked up to the man and looked at him.
"So, you are the one that ended the reign of terror that Alaric Bloodborne was on."
"Yes, I was. Did you come to make small talk or are you going to stake me?"
"Actually, Ms. Clawthorne, I have a proposition for you. Go to work with your Aunt tomorrow and I will explain it better."
The man left and Luz felt sick. Eda came over and helped her to the couch.
"I can't believe he was here. I-I-I."
"Luz, just take a minute, okay?"
Luz looked up and saw two bats hiding in the shadows. They flew down and turned back to Boscha and Skara.
"Luz, that was the Emperor!" Skara said.
"Yes, I saw that." Luz said.
"What are you going to do?" Boscha asked.
"I... guess I'll see what this proposition is."
