Chapter 46 - Concerto

Noon turned to afternoon, then to evening, and then it was time for the rock concert. Class 1-A and their American students took that time to get themselves spruced up. They were going casual, of course, but they still wanted to look presentable. After they had gotten dressed in casual clothing, put on deodorant and perfume, and had dinner, all twenty six were gathered in the main area of Heights Alliance, near the entrance.

During that time when his students was preparing, Aizawa left the Class 1-A Heights Alliance with Eri. He decided that it was best for her to not to come, as the rock concerts could be somewhat wild. So, he left her in the care of The Big Three, who were more than happy to look after her. Afterwards, Aizawa came back, and found his students waiting to go. He then raised his hands to speak, to which Iida ordered everyone to quiet down, which they did.

"We're going to the rock concert at the Hosu City Stadium." said Aizawa. "It's going to be an hour drive there, and we're going by bus, same as Class 1-B. Now when we get there, I want you all to be on good behavior; you can have fun, just don't get yourselves in trouble. Is that clear?"

"Yes sir, Mr. Aizawa!" All Class 1-A students replied, trying to keep from sounding too excited.

"Good; let's get boarding…"

"You heard Mr. Aizawa! Everybody on the bus, two by two!" Iida ordered, moving his arms like a robot.

While most of the Class 1-A students rolled their eyes at Iida, they obeyed his orders and began heading for the bus. The students left the Class 1-A Heights Alliance building, went through the courtyard, through the gate, and then boarded their bus, which was waiting for them. After everyone had got onboard, Aizawa was the last to get on. The bus doors closed, and the bus began moving, following behind the Class 1-B bus; they were off!

After an hour of driving, it was now nighttime, and the two buses arrived in Hosu City. There, they parked in front of the Hosu City Stadium. As its name said, it was a large stadium where outdoor events, such as rock concerts or sports games, were held.

The two classes, and their teachers, left the buses and converged, before heading into the stadium. There, Aizawa and Vlad King gave the money for the tickets, and all fifty-two students were allowed in. In there, they converged into their own groups, and some went to check out the merchandise stands, while others went to go find their seats.

It was a warm, spring night, and the sky was cloudless, with stars lighting it up. As for the stadium, it was lit up as well, and thousands of people of all kinds were in attendance. Fortunately, the U.A students had good seats, which were near the front of the stage! They weren't exactly near the stage, as there was a giant gap with no seats, so that screaming fans could come down and watch, but it was close.

"So, what band is performing?" Joshua asked, as he and Jiro took their seats.

"I don't know; I think it's one of those obscure bands, you know?" Jiro replied. "One of those bands that hasn't really gone mainstream, but is still popular?"

"I get what you're saying."

"Personally, I'm more into country music." Murdock spoke up, as he and Tokage were sitting behind Joshua and Jiro. "Nothing gets me more excited than a banjo and a fiddle being played."

"A banjo and a fiddle?" Tokage asked, her tone confused.

"It's probably best you don't find out what those are, Tokage." Joshua replied, his tone humorous.

Tokage still looked confused, while Jiro chuckled at Joshua had said. Murdock threw him a somewhat annoyed look, while Joshua went back to waiting for the concert to start.

A few minutes of the crowds getting to their seats, and then the concert started. Just as Jiro said, it was one of those obscure teen rock bands, who weren't really mainstream but were getting there. They sung in both Japanese and English, so the Americans understood the song. The crowd was pumped and on their feet, listening to the music, and even the students of U.A were getting in with it!

After two or three songs were played, the band were preparing to play another, when something strange began happening; the lights around the stadium began going off one-by-one, until there was just darkness! The people in the stadium cheered, believing it was part of the show. But all of the U.A students, and their teachers, had a weird feeling that something was going down. It was the same feeling at the USJ, when the villains attacked!

"Something's not right." said Matthew, looking around. "I don't know what, but I feel like we're going to get run-over by something."

"Oh God, please protect us from whatever is coming…" Shiozaki prayed.

Suddenly, a voice came over the intercom of the stadium! It was a theatrical sounding voice, and the blood of Midoriya, Todoroki, and Shoji all ran cold upon recognizing it: it was Mr. Compress, one of the members of the League of Villains!

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages!" Mr. Compress' voice came over the intercom. "We are proud to present, for your viewing pleasure, a show that will go down in history, as a night that will never be forgotten! We would like to thank Joshua Rourke, son of Death Wish, for helping us organize this event!"

Those who knew of Joshua's origins looked at him with a confused look! This, in turn, caused Joshua to respond with a shocked look, as he had no idea what was happening! The other U.A students also looked confused as well; they were wondering if the voice talking about Joshua Graham.

Mr. Compress' voice continued by saying, "The League of Villains proudly presents, a triumphant play for us, and a tragedy for the heroes: The deaths of the entire U.A Hero Course!"

The lights then flicked back on and, much to the students horror, Shigaraki was standing on the stage! He was dressed in a dark grey trench coat, black shirt and pants, and red sneakers. He also hands all over his arms, body, and one on his face!

Not only was Shigaraki on the stage, but behind him were several nomu! They weren't normal looking nomu, but were more advanced; their brains weren't exposed, and looked more human-like! But still, they were intimidating, as they were large and muscular looking! To make matters even worse, there was about ninety-nine of them, all clamoring together!

And, standing beside Shigaraki, on his left and right sides, were the other members of the League of Villains! Stone-Fish wasn't there though, as he was with Mr. Compress in the sound booth.

The other members of the League of Villains included Dabi, who had patches of burnt skin, and wore dark blue clothing. Toga, a teenaged girl who wore Japanese girl school-clothing, and a scarf with teeth on it! And Spinner, a lizard-like being who dressed like some kind of ninja, and had several swords on his back! Then, much to Joshua's shock, Death Wish was there as well!

Death Wish's villain costume was a black vest with dark red fur collar and lining, to which he was shirtless underneath. He also wore black and red fingerless gloves, black pants with red designs on the sides, and black boots with red laces.

"I present to you… The Legion, for they are many!" Shigaraki spoke, his tone villainous.

That's when everything went crazy; the crowds started screaming in horror and retreating, away from the stage! Class 1-A, Class 1-B, the American students, and their teachers, could only look in horror at what was about to happen!

As the crowds began panicking and tearing through the arena to the doors, Sunshine went up to Joshua and grabbed him by the front of his shirt, saying in an angered tone, "You lied to us! You said they were going to attack Zoo Dreamland!"

"I didn't know!" Joshua replied, his tone scared and panicked. "I don't know how they figured it out! I swear!"

"Wait a minute, why did they call you 'Joshua Rourke'?" asked Yusuf, his tone confused. "Isn't your last name 'Graham'?"

"Isn't it obvious?!" Peter yelled out. "Joshua's a villain! He's in a cahoots with them!"

"What?!" All students yelled out in shock.

They began asking Joshua questions about who he was and what he was doing, and each question was like a bullet being fired into him! Every question that came, Joshua looked more and more scared, confused, and panicked! Finally, it became too much, and he let out a cry of fear!

"I can't take this no more!" Joshua cried out, shoving everyone out of the way and running.

"Joshua!" Jiro yelled, her tone concerned.

"Go after him, quickly! But don't hurt him!" Matthew ordered. "Murdock, Hagakure, go with her!"

Murdock and Hagakure obeyed, and began following Jiro, as she headed up the stairs after Joshua, who had disappeared into the walk-around area of the stadium! Matthew then turned to Sunshine, a look of anger on his face!

"That was uncalled for, Sunshine!" said Matthew, his tone angered.

"He's a villain, Joshua! We should've never trusted him the first time!" Sunshine fired back. "He lied to us!"

"He didn't lie! You can clearly see that he was panicking; he had no idea that this was going to happen!"

"Quiet, both of you." Aizawa ordered, as he put on his yellow goggles. "Everyone get to safety; we'll hold off the nomus."

"But Mr. Aizawa, Mr. Vlad King, you can't hold off ninety-nine nomus by yourself!" Matthew replied. "You'll be killed!"

"If that's what it takes to protect you, then so be it." Aizawa replied, as he and Vlad King stepped in front of the students. "As your teachers, it's our job to look after you, and that includes laying our lives down for you."

After he said that, both Aizawa and Vlad King began running down the stairs of the stadium, heading for the large gap near the stage! Matthew watched them, as a look of determination suddenly came over his face.

As soon as Aizawa and Vlad King reached the large gap near the stage, Shigaraki raised his hand and pointed it at the two heroes!

"Kill them…" said Shigaraki, his voice quiet, before yelling out, "KILL THEM ALL!"

At that moment, several nomus began jumping off the stage, heading for Aizawa and Vlad King! The two heroes began fighting them off, with Aizawa using his capture scarf, and Vlad King using his quirk: blood controlling! He fired his own blood out of gauntlets, and then began using it as a weapon agains the nomus!

The League of Villains then disappeared from Shigaraki's side, and went backstage. There, they would sneak around the stadium, so they could attack the students that tried to escape! As for Death Wish, he was going hunting, for his own son!

And Shigaraki just stood on the stage, watching the chaos unfold, and letting out an evil laugh! The other nomus began jumping off the stage as well, to which they started overwhelm both Aizawa and Vlad King!

"What do we do? What do we do?!" Nemo yelled, his tone panicked.

"We have to do as Mr. Aizawa said; we have to get to safety!" Iida replied.

"No!" said Matthew. "We have help Eraserhead and Vlad King! They'll get killed down there!"

"Are you nuts?!" Nemo yelled. "If we try to help them, we'll be killed!"

"And Aizawa clearly told us to head to safety; if we go against him, that would be disobeying his orders!" Iida added.

"I know that, but let the blame fall on me! I'll take full responsibility!" Matthew replied, before climbing onto a chair and yelling out, "Class 1-A, Class 1-B, listen up!"

But the students of U.A weren't responding; most of them were freaking out, and were wondering what to do! Matthew tried to call again, but it didn't work! Then, much to Matthew's surprise, Peter got on a chair next to him!

"QUIET!" Peter roared, cupping his hands so his voice was loud.

Instantly, all U.A students quieted, and Peter motioned for Matthew, who had a shocked expression on his face, to speak.

"Thank you…" Matthew replied, his tone surprised. He then cleared his throat and said, "Okay, I know Aizawa told us to run, but we're heroes; we don't run away from a fight! And, we're not going to leave our teachers to get killed! So here's what we're going to do: we're going to split into groups of four, and then we'll drive the nomus and the villains off! We can also try to capture them, but I think it'll be highly unlikely to succeed in that field! And I know that going against what our teachers tell us to do is wrong, but let me take the blame for that! That's the plan, so let's do it!"

The students looked at each other, and quietly asked if they should follow through with the plan, when Peter suddenly yelled out to get their attention.

"Hey, you heard Matthew!" Peter yelled. "Everyone form into groups of four, and get ready for battle!"

The students obeyed this time, gathering into groups of four. Matthew then looked over at Peter, a grateful expression on his face.

"Don't think I'm doing this because I like you, quirkless…" Peter spoke, his tone quiet. "I'm doing this because it's the right thing to do."

Matthew nodded, a smile on his face, and replied, "Fine by me, Peter. Fine by me."

"So, what do you want me to do?"

"Team up with Kirishima, Shishida, and Bakugo; you guys are good physical fighters, so you'll be able to hold your own against those nomus. Unfortunately, one of the groups is going to be short a person."

"What do you mean?"

Matthew then turned around and began running where Aizawa and Vlad King were fighting! Peter didn't bother to stop Matthew; he knew there was no stopping the 'Quirkless Wonder' when he put his mind to something.

"Where's Matthew going?!" asked Shiozaki, her tone shocked.

"From the looks of it, he's going to help Eraserhead and Vlad King." Peter replied, his tone nonchalant.

"But he'll be killed!"

"Oh please. You're his girlfriend, so you should know by now that nothing can kill Matthew Noble. And even if he was to going to die, you can be darn sure that he'll take many with him when he goes."

Shiozaki then watched as Matthew headed towards where Aizawa and Vlad King were fighting. A silent prayer formed over her lips, asking God to protect Matthew when he was down there…

Ralphie: Surprise! It's me!

Heroboy005: Hey, I was wondering where you were.

Ralphie: Got two jokes for you!

Heroboy005: You know what? I actually want to hear them. Fire away!

Ralphie: Okay, guess who the fastest man in the world?

Heroboy005: Who?

Ralphie: Adam! He was the first in the human race!

Heroboy005: (Laughing) Oh, that's bad!

Ralphie: Okay, know which person in the Bible had no parents?

Heroboy005: Who?

Ralphie: Joshua, son of Nun!

Heroboy005: (Laughing) Bible jokes, huh?

Ralphie: Yeah! I was inspired from the last chapter!

Heroboy005: Ah, clever...

Ralphie: (Serious) Yeah, I thought it would be a nice change of pace, due to how serious things are going to get in the next chapters. Because, only God can help us now...
