House of Emergency:
It was now 1 am and Jerome was so worried he couldn't sleep. Jerome looked at Alfie's bed and saw that it was still empty. Jerome grabbed his flashlight and walked to Otis' room. Jerome called Otis' name a few times and Otis woke up. Otis grabbed his glasses from his nightstand and put them on. When he looked up he saw Jerome.
"Jerome? What are you doing here?" Asked Otis.
"Did you hear anything from Alfie?" Asked Jerome.
"What he still isn't back?" Asked Otis.
"No," said Jerome
Suddenly a light on Aaron's side of the room turned on.
"Jerome and Otis it is 1am, what are you doing?" Asked Aaron.
"It's about Alfie, he's still stuck in the cellar," said Otis.
"Aaron you gotta help us," begged Jerome.
" I'm not really good help right now, because of my leg. Jerome go get Fabian he can help," said Aaron
Jerome went to Fabian's room to ask for his help in rescuing Alfie from the cellar. Jerome entered Fabian's room and walked to Fabian's bed.
"Fabian? Fabian? Fabian!" Said Jerome, trying to wake Fabian up.
"Huh?" Said Fabian, who slowly began to wake up
"Alfie's trapped in the cellar dude. You've got to help me," begged Jerome.
"Ha, ha. Jerome. Go away," said Mick, who woke up because of Jerome.
"He's been down there for hours. I'm not lying. I swear I'm not. Dude, come on. I'm really worried," said Jerome.
"Give me a sec," said Fabian.
"Hurry up," said Jerome.
Fabian, Jerome and Otis would go to the cellar with the three of them. Aaron stayed behind and would keep watch. Jerome picked up walkie-talkies from his room and handed one to Aaron so he could warn them if Victor was coming. Fabian managed to get the cellar door open and the three boys entered.
"Alfie? Alfie?" Said Jerome
"Alfie?" Said Otis.
"Alfie? He's not here. If you're messing around Jerome," said Fabian
"I swear. I'm not doing," said Jerome.
Suddenly the three boys heard something coming from the cupboard.
"What was that?" Asked Otis.
"Ssh," said Fabian.
"In that cupboard. Open the cupboard," said Jerome.
"No you open the cupboard," Fabian.
"My mother told I'm not allowed to open cupboard, when strange sounds are coming out of," said Otis.
"Fine I'll open the cupboard," said Fabian.
Fabian opened up the cupboard and saw Alfie sitting. Alfie was sweating, totally paralyzed with fear and looked frightened.
"Alfie!" Said Jerome and Otis, in unison
"Help me," said Alfie.
"Take it easy, Alfie, it's me, Jerome," said Jerome.
"Okay, we need to get him out of here," said Fabian.
Jerome and Fabian helped Alfie get out of the cupboard.
"Come on, come on," said Otis.
"Are you all right mate. Otis the door!" Said Jerome.
In the meantime, Mara was still awake. Mara was gang in the laundry room. She says a note in Mick's handwriting. Mick asked Trudy to wash Mick's sports gear. Mara saw an opportunity for revenge. Mara put a red sock in the washing machine and sat the washing machine on maximum setting and happily walked away.
Fabian, Jerome, Otis and Alfie were now out of the cellar and everyone went back to their own room. But Alfie couldn't sleep, he was tossing and turning in his bed, looking frightened.
The next morning Fiona, Caitlin and Mara were already at the table. Fiona and Caitlin were just having breakfast and Mara was listening to music. Fabian and Aaron told everything that had happened to the club as they walked into the living room.
"And how is he now?" Asked Patricia
"I don't know. I haven't seen Alfie or Jerome all morning," said Fabian
"Yeah, When Otis got up and he went straight to the room of Alfie to see if he's okay and he hasn't come out," said Aaron.
Trudy entered the living room with some extra bread and at the same time Mick entered the living room.
"Feet off the table, please, Mara. Feet off the table, please, Mara!" Said Trudy.
"Trudy did you manage to…?" Asked Mick, but Trudy, interrupted him.
"Yes, it's in the machine," said Trudy.
"You're a star," said Mick.
"You'll have to put it in the dryer though, for half an hour," said Trudy.
"Okay," said Mick.
Mick headed towards the laundry room and Mara had a small smile on her face knowing that Mick would be in for big surprise or in this case a small suprise.
"Mara, you haven't eaten anything. Is everything okay?" Asked Trudy.
"No not again! I don't believe it!" Shouted Mick.
"Never felt better," said Mara.
"Is everything all right?" Asked Trudy.
Mick entered the living room with pink shorts. The other residents began to laugh when they saw the pink shorts.
"Trudy! You've ruined my sports gear. They've shrunk and they are pink! It was turned up to Max. It's ruined," said Mick.
"Oh, I dunno. I think you'd look quite fetching in those shorts," joked Patricia
"Shut it Williamson," said Mick. "What am I gonna do now?" He asked.
"I'm so sorry lovey. Let's go look through lost property. I'm sure there'll be something in there that you can borrow," said Trudy.
While Trudy and Mick were going to look for the lost property box. Jerome entered the living room with a worried look on his face.
"Fabian, I could do with some help?" Asked Jerome.
"Alfie!" Said the club in unison.
The club followed Jerome to his room, when they entered the saw Alfie lying in his bed looking frightened. Otis stood next to Alfie's bed and he look worried. The club and Jerome stood next to Otis.
"Is he all right?" Asked Patricia.
"Does he look all right?" Asked Otis
"He still hasn't said anything," said Jerome.
"He's catatonic," said Nina.
"What do you think he saw down there?" Asked Aaron.
"Victor stuffing cats?" Suggested Amber.
"Not helping Amber," said Aaron.
Fabian went over to Alfie and touched him on his shoulder. This startled Alfie.
"Alfie, Cut it out mate. You really need to snap out of this. It's time to go to school," said Fabian.
"He won't wake up if you try it that way," said Patricia.
"Alfie, there are pancakes in the kitchen," said Otis.
Now Nina went over to Alfie and she also touched and again was startled by it.
"Alfie. What scared you? What did you see down there?" Asked Nina.
"I saw, I saw," said Alfie.
"Go on, you're doing really well," said Nina.
"I…," said Alfie, but he couldn't finish his sentence, because he began to hyperventilate.
"Alfie? Alfie!" Shouted Jerome, who was worried.
"Okay, someone get him some water now," said Fabian.
"And a paper bag. They always do that in the movies," said Nina.
Patricia left to room to get some water. Nina grabbed to the bottle from Patricia bag.
"Alfie calm down,"" said Otis.
"Okay. Alfie, calm down," said Fabian.
"Here," said Nina.
Nina gave Alfie the bottle and he drank from it. Suddenly Alfie started to cough real bad and everything became blurry to him.
"Dude are you alright?" Asked Otis.
"What's happening?" Asked Amber.
Then Alfie collapsed and didn't move at all.
"Alfie are you all right? Alfie? Alfie are you all right?" Asked Jerome.
"I'd say no," said Fabian.
Patricia entered the room with a glass of water and then noticed the bottle in Alfie's hand.
"Did you give him that?" Asked Patricia
"Why was it still in your bag?" Asked Nina.
"Get help!" Said Otis.
"I'll go get someone," said Nina.
In the meantime in the living room. Mick had put some clothes on from the lost property box. Mick was wearing a pink legging and a yellow t-shirt with kittens on it. Fiona and Caitlin couldn't help to laugh.
What about this then? Asked Mick.
That's perfect for a girl's dance class, joked Fiona.
Hey that's my shirt. I lost it, said Caitlin.
Nina rushed into the living room.
"Trudy, quick. Alfie's collapsed," said Nina.
Trudy followed Nina to Alfie's room to see what's going
A moment later and Alfie sat in a wheelchair and had an oxygen mask on. The other residents looked worried as Alfie was taken to the Ambulance.
"I'm going to go in the ambulance with him," said Trudy.
"I'll call his parents," said Victor.
"Is he going to be okay?" Asked Amber.
"They think so, sweetie. But, they did ask if he'd taken anything?" Said Trudy.
"Like what?" Asked Victor.
"I don't know. They just said 'something'," said Trudy
"He, he took a sip of this just before he collapsed," said Nina, as she gave the bottle to Trudy,
"Oh! That doesn't smell too good. I'll take that with me,' said Trudy, as she took a sniff of the bottle.
"No-one is to leave this house until I find out exactly what happened to Alfred," said Victor.
Trudy left with Alfie in the ambulance. And Victor made all the residents write down statements about what happened. After the club had written down their statements they went to the room of Nina and Amber.
"Why did you give them the elixir?" Asked Patricia. "Now we've lost our proof," she said.
"Not necessarily. I kept a bit of it in here. I like a backup plan," said Nina, as she pulled a small bottle with the elixir in from her bag.
"Why didn't you say?" Asked Patricia
"Well done," said Fabian
"I'm just wondering if we should just get rid of all of it. It's just nothing but bad," said Nina.
"No way," said Patricia
"But it's already put our friend in the hospital," said Nina.
"I'll hide it somewhere better this time, okay?" Said Patricia.
"I'm just not sure about any of this anymore. It's all too much," said Nina.
Once the residents were in school, Patricia headed for the girl's bathroom. Patricia entered one of the bathroom stalls put what the club had left of the elixir in the tank. When Patricia left the stall, Jerome and Otis were standing right in front of her.
"Grow up, you creeps. Hanging around the girls' bathroom? That's juvenile even for you," said Patricia.
"What happened to Alfie?" Asked Jerome.
"Nothing. You know as much as I do," said Patricia.
"I don't believe you," said Otis.
"Tell me what's going on down in the cellar Patricia, Or I'll go straight to Victor and tell him that you're all up to something down there," said Jerome.
"You won't say anything to Victor, because if you do, You'll have to explain what you two and Alfie were doing down there in the first place. You're in it just as much as the rest of us," said Patricia.
In the meantime, Nina was in a classroom trying to write the script. But Nina couldn't concentrate, she could only think about Alfie. Fabian entered the classroom.
"Hey Shakespeare, how's it going?" Asked Fabian. "I hope you're doing better than I am with the latest riddle," he said.
"It's my fault Alfie's in the hospital," said Nina.
"No, no it's not. Patricia should never have left that bottle in her bag," said Fabian.
"Don't you understand I'm like some curse. I was the one who was given the locket. I found the cylinders. I wish I could just go back in time and turn down this scholarship," said Nina.
"Don't talk like that. Sarah chose you for a reason Nina," said Fabian.
Patricia, Aaron and Amber entered the classroom.
"So, Captain Nina? Fabian still hasn't solved the riddle, I still can't get hold of Rufus, Alfie's still in hospital," said Patricia.
"Am I picking up some weird romantic tension. Here?" Asked Amber.
"Guys, I can't do this anymore. Sibuna. I'm out," said Nina.
Nina took off her locket and handed it to Fabian and she left the classroom. Fabian, Amber, Aaron and Patricia couldn't believe what happened, how can they continue without Nina.
