A/N: This is not The Tales of version of Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods or Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes, but rather The Tales of version of a book I got of Greek and Roman Mythology I got in Rome Italy. The settings will be after 'The Tales of the Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus' so please read that before getting in this story. Think of this story as something to pass by until The Trials of Apollo books.
Aeson
This guy was thought to be related to not one but possibly two heroes—depending on the stories you read on this guy.
Aeson was the son of Cretheus. He married the great-aunt of Odysseus and became his great-uncle. But other stories say he married Alcmede, daughter of Phylacus.
One thing was sure, he was the half brother of Pelias and father of Jason of the Argonauts. It's also certain that Pelias robbed him of his kingdom of Iolcos and sent Jason to win the Golden Fleece.
During Jason's absence, Pelias forced Aeson to commit suicide by having him poisoned himself with bull's blood.
In Ovid's version Aeson saw Jason again and was restored to youth by Medea's magic.
I hope that part was true and took place before Jason dumped Medea, because it would mean one less tragedy in the guy's life and part of it was Medea's fault.
Since Jason had a roll in this story, next time be a good time to bring up one of Jason's fellow Argonaut men.
