KINGDOM HEARTS: Edge Before End.

EX: Aurifero Centrotavola.

Midlight Town is known to be village of comfort, so to speak. Stocked with great wares that carry unknown cultures hidden within them, some ask where these grand prizes had appeared from and how were they made. The merchants curiously reply that they themselves do not know...only saying their treasures are "gifts bestowed from Midlight".

Choosing not to think upon what they believe is heavenly providence, the marketeers and townspeople alike would talk about how the town itself received it's name of Midlight. In response towards those that are inquisitive for certain subjects-not only the marketing cultural wares but also the structural layouts of the town, and such other similar mysteries...

According to the elders or "ancestors" as they are called by the townsfolk, their home was created over a great millennium of time ago. Following a fatal war between very great many numbers of opposing forces, the founders or "original ancestors" both found refuge and made berth atop the place they have since called Midlight Town.

In part, the town started to be called Midlight because of a strange and mysterious shining aura that had surrounded it's bedrock at the time of foundations. Many believed back then that the aura was a result of the war following it's aftermath, having greatly affected the equilibrium of all things...but now. The current generations dismiss the chronicles of the war as mere stories, created by the olden timers still living within the past...

Not knowing of wartime and the horrors associated with it's concept, the modern public had started to believe the shining aura was not the effect of something post-mortem; from times long since passed. But rather, what they call nowadays as the "divine blessing"...a strange but beneficial phenomenon that allows prosperity to indulge the citizens of Midlight Town. The blessing provides luck, the luck provides fortune and in turn; the fortune gives everyone a sense of both safety and security.

Simply put, they do not question the nature of the shining Midlight veil. For as though if they were to ask about it, then; they might not receive it's benefits. What goes around comes around, regardless of origins...that is the philosophy of Midlight Town's residents. Even if the inquisitors were to try and find out more, their attempts would end with nothing to provide concrete evidence...

When the town was first formed, all buildings were already structured in a manner that Humans could easily settle into them. All they would have needed to do at the time was make further constructions and the rest would become the literal history of Midlight Town itself. This fact amongst the other hidden secrets of their home led to a certain group of inquisitors being formed...a faction tasked with protecting Midlight Town.

Calling themselves the Midlight Guard, asides assuring the peace and harmony of the masses. They use weapons belonging to the unknown cultures that have become apart of Midlight Town's settlement, thanks in no small feat towards the shining aura. And by studying said weapons...they hope towards uncovering more about the shining aura itself, to learn just how it is bestowing the town with such valuables that are practically foreign and with no normal ways of replicating them...

Finally, of worth noting...there is the Midlight Festival. The time that celebrates when Midlight Town was created centuries ago whilst worshipping the auric veil hanging over the sky of the town itself. As we start to return back at the side of Myst and his perspective...we see Xander somewhere, hiding away in shadow.

"...Sigh, a town blessed by a divine Light? yeah right. No one is that lucky in life, especially not a massive huddle of people. When Humans get together, it's only a matter of time until things go way down south...don't you agree?" says Xander lastly, talking to someone.

A silhouette approaches him and stands in a corner of bright Light, revealing itself to be a middle aged man wearing an eyepatch. Showing a scowl if there ever was one upon the man's face, Xander becomes amused by this sight. Elsewhere, Myst is seen having arrived at his destination...

TO BE CONTINUED.

(Sorry everyone, this was more of trying to explain the town's history if anything. Next Chapter will return back to the more "Heartier" stuff and yes, the pun was fully intended. :])
