A/N: Just a little something that popped into my head. Let's say it's set some time after Kensi and Deeks started dating.

"Why do you do that?" Kensi asked, widening her step a little to match Deeks' as they walked back to the SUV.

"I keep telling you, that's just the way my hips move. I can't help it if you can't keep your eyes of them," he responded, turning his head to smirk at her. Kensi's gaze dropped to his butt for a second before she managed to control herself.

"That's not what I'm talking about. Why were you giving them the dumb act?" Kensi jabbed a thumb behind her to the two FBI agents they'd just finished talking to.

"I don't know what you mean." Despite his flippant tone, Kensi noticed that he suddenly stood a little straighter.

"Yes you do. You were purposely saying stupid things to annoy them for no reason. And now they think you're an idiot, Kensi said, frustrated that he wasn't taking this seriously.

"I'm pretty sure they already did. Agent Tall and Snooty had me sized up the second he laid eyes on me," he said with false easiness. Dropping her hands to her thighs in exasperation, Kensi said,

"And now you've proven his point." Deeks stopped and turned to face her completely, crossing his arms.

"Why does it matter to you so much? It's not like it affects you. They both loved you."

"Because I don't like seeing them treat you that way. You are incredibly intelligent…and I hate it when you don't let people see that," she said. As she spoke, Deeks suddenly looked distinctly uncomfortable. If she didn't know better, she would have said he was blushing.

"Well, that is an incredibly nice thing to say and if we weren't technically still at work, I would kiss you," he said, his voice low. Sighing, Kensi took his hand.

"I'm being serious Deeks."

"So am I. If I have your respect, that's all that matters." He squeezed her hand and Kensi suddenly felt a little shy herself. She still wasn't used to sharing her feelings so openly.

She could have forced the point and tried to make him see things her way. Instead, she knocked his hip with hers and said,

"I love you, Marty Deeks." Deeks smiled gently down at her.

"Love you, Kensi Blye."
