The Avengers got to the battle field right as the army of human-sized robots arrived. They got the notification from S.H.I.E.L.D. a few minutes prior, and figured out that a mad scientist wanted to replace the whole world's population with robots. They were all fighting, Tony, Rhodey, Sam, and Vision in the air, Natasha, Steve, Bucky, Hulk, Scott, Wanda, Pietro, and T'Challa on foot, with Clint on the rooftops, and Peter swinging and running, helping out both teams. They were getting overrun with robots on the ground, so they were drawing near the same location to stick together. They were quickly circled by robots, when Peter got an idea. He chuckled, just thinking about it.
"Oh no, I don't like that noise, it means that you're thinking of something," Tony warned. The Avengers became uneasy, Peter's plans usually were from a movie or something ridiculous. Peter grinned, the suit's eyes narrowing from the action.
"So, there's this game I played one when I was younger in school-" he was cut off.
"DONT complete that sentence!" Tony tried to stop the inevitable.
"It was with a jump rope, and I've used my webs as jump ropes before, so it might work."
"Peter… where are you going with this…" they were all a little scared of what plan the little spider might be conjuring.
"Well, I need a sharp or blunt object." He looked around, and spotted an arrow in Clint's quiver. He snatched it while he was busy shooting the robots.
"Hey! What are you doing?" They got a little more nervous, Peter with a sharp object is not good. Peter grinned, but nobody could see it anyway.
"I'm playing Helicopter! Remember, that fun game in school where you try to whip other kids' shins and ankles if they don't jump in time?" The others looked nervous.
"That's not the objective! It's to hit them, not whip!" Scott tried to correct him.
"Same thing, same thing. It's fine!" He started tying the arrow to the end of a long web he was making. "This'll be so much fun!"
"Doesn't sound fun to me," Clint said in monotone.
"You're just a boring old man!"
"If he's an old man, then what am I," Steve asked, and Bucky nodded, all still fighting the robots, with their comms on.
"A fossil!" He was nonchalant about it, making Tony, Clint, Scott, and even T'Challa laugh. "Enough chit chat! Time for my plan!" He threw one end of the web as far as it would stretch, and held on the other end without the arrow. "Make sure to jump!" When those words left his mouth, Rhodey, Vision, Wanda, and Sam lifted everyone else off the ground, out of the way of the crazy teenager.
"This'll be so much fun!" He started swinging the web in circles, making sure to bring it higher and higher in each spin, knocking out the ankles, knees, hips, chests, and heads of the robots. Finally, after a good ten seconds, everything died down. The robots were destroyed. Peter laughed as hard as ever. "I can't believe you let me do that!" The others were grinning maniacally, some laughing or trying to stifle it. They dropped to the ground.
"Say 'I' if you agree not to let him have sharp objects any time soon," Tony said. Everyone responded with affirmation, except for Nat. Peter looked at her, clearly grinning, shown by the eyes on his suit.
"I like the kid with weapons, he completes the mission in a fun way!" Peter laughed.
"See? I'm not that dangerous!"
"Kid, you almost made us die with the robots if we weren't off the ground," Scott pointed out. Peter looked at him.
"I gave you a warning!" The others decided to drop the subject with some frustrated grumbling. Peter laughed. "You guys looove me!" Clint laughed.
"Kid, you're more of a demon spawn than my kids!"
"Great minds think alike!" Peter started skipping away, making the others follow behind him to the tower.
"Peter, nobody agreed with you," Steve pointed out. Peter took off his mask, turning around, grinning.
"Exactly!" He ran off and started scaling the building. Everyone stopped to watch as he reached the top in record time.
"That's never not creepy." Everyone, except Natasha, agreed. They watched as Peter jumped off the edge, making Sam, Rhodey, and Vision start to take off, with Wanda about to use her magic, but all being stopped by a hand gesture from Tony.
"He gets all excited from missions and has to use up all his energy, or else he will not be able to sleep for days. Usually he does this." He gestured to Peter's steadily falling form. Suddenly, at the last second, he shot a web and slingshotted up, over the tower, and spread his arms, gliding with his wing suit, over the battlefield, and landing on a nearby roof with a whoop.
"I don't know how he doesn't get sick from that," Steve pondered. Tony shrugged.
"He does it, like, ten times after each mission, so don't ask me." They stared at him in shock.
"TEN TIMES?!" Everyone exclaimed at once. Tony laughed.
"Yes, he's fine, now let's go back before he decides to throw us to the top of the tower with him." Everyone was nervous, noting how it sounded like Tony was speaking from experience. They walked inside, going up the ridiculously large elevator together. Once they reached the common room floor, the doors dinged, and slid open. It revealed Peter on the couch, three pizza boxes stacked on his lap, one hand with a slice, and one with the remote to the TV, while he played Star Wars. They stared.
"I'm done with this kid," Bucky said, shaking his head, as Steve, Scott, T'Challa, Sam, and a few others followed him out of the room, leaving Tony and Rhodey together with him. Peter looked over and smiled.
"Want some?" He asked, gesturing to the pizza and the now-visible chips on the coffee table. Rhodey laughed, while Tony shook his head, sighing.
"You're going to make me die of a stress-induced ulcer, kid," Tony claimed, making Peter grin innocently at them.
"Come on! I know you love meeee!" Tony chuckled, shaking his head, while walking over and plopping on the couch next to him.
"You're right, kid, yes, I do love you. Best kid anyone could ask for," Tony said, wrapping an arm around Peter once he made sure Rhodey left. Little did they know, the others were just around the corner, trying not to coo or laugh at the scene. The son and father figures soon fell asleep to the end credits of the movie, and the others had FRIDAY take a photo of it, knowing if they walked in, Peter would wake up, and see them. FRIDAY sent the photo to all of them, and they walked off, all with huge smiles on their previously stressed faces.
Leave it to Peter to brighten up their lives.
