Leah felt electrified. She bounced with every step as she strode alongside Seth. 90 minutes after arriving at Emmett's Gym, the two walked out with renewed energy.

"You like the gym?" Seth asked, looking down at his older sister with a faint smile. He knew she would, but hearing so would give his plan validation and make heading to step two easier.

"That was amazing, Seth! Emmett is such a great teacher, and his idea of Jiu-Jitsu was so perfect. Thirty minutes into our lesson, and I tossed him over my shoulder."

"I heard," Seth said with a grin. He was certain people three buildings down had felt the crash, if not heard the car alarms going off as a result.

"Even if he let me get away with it, I still did it. I had the technique and leverage."

Leah felt as if she would float off the ground and walk on the clouds.

"Emmett doesn't usually ease off on people. With his clientele, he really doesn't need to."

"Hmmm." She did not know much about other supernatural beings, but the wolf within her felt ecstatic. For once in her life, she had fought and won a physical altercation. She was strong. She was invincible. She was proud.

Cue the Eye of the Tiger music.

"So, you liked Emmett?" Seth asked, interrupting Leah's thoughts.

"Oh, he was fabulous." She grinned. Subconsciously, Leah patted her pocket where a small slip of paper with a phone number scribbled on it.

She remembered the wicked glint in his eye and the wink that accompanied the "and feel free to call me any time, day or night. I don't sleep, you know," that came with it. A thrill she had not felt in a long time shot through her. Who knew, maybe an indelicato détente between wolf and vampire was in her future.

"Ready for our next stop?" Seth asked, interrupting her rapidly becoming inappropriate thoughts.

"Lead the way, oh great lil' brother."

The loud gurgling of her stomach made Seth pause.

"Good thing phase two is feeding the body and soul."

"Soul?" Leah ate when she was hungry because of physical need, not because her soul needed it.

"You'll see. Jay's Place will have just what you need."

"Jay's Place?"

"Just one of the most happenin' places in all of Seattle."

""Hmm…"

"Have I ever steered you wrong when it comes to food?"

No. No he had not.

"Lead the way, Dawg," Leah responded with a broad grin, the likes of which Seth had not seen in a long, long time.

Seth laughed before offering his arm which Leah took and the two marched down the street, grinning like loons.
