Ch 82
The first thing the two men did was look over all the failures that had been reported. Charles Letcher and Gus Craven wrote down the things that didn't work.
The one named Allison was shocked. She didn't collapse, but screamed and fought back and another couple showed up to beat the craps out of her attackers and got them arrested.
Guns just pissed them off.
That High School girl Jackie was in an airplane that crashed. She got up and walked away, and traveled miles though the woods to get help.
"Something has to stop them," Gus grumbled.
"Sleeping gas," Gus then said with a grin. "We can pump it in under their door! They go to sleep, we go in and collect them!"
Charles eye him. "After we get the stuff, how do we get in the room? The door will be locked."
"Yeah," Gus said with a frown. "A purse snatch when they come out? She runs to catch one of us, the other grabs her."
"They are faster and stronger than us, dickface," Charles said heavily. "We'll both get our asses handed to us."
"Then YOU come up with an idea, smart ass!"
Charles thought about all those women's perfect bodies. "How about this, we let them get on the bus, then I get on and make the driver to where we want. Once we get out of town, you stop right in front of the bus. If they don't get off and get in the van, I threaten to start shooting their friends. You drive away with them."
Gus nodded at first then eyed Charles. "And what happens when I get out of sight? They rip me apart and you end up in a hostage situation and a police sniper takes you out."
"No, I pick a couple cuties and get in the van with you."
"Too much could go wrong and I'm sure many will be on their cell phones to the cops," Gus stated. "We have to surprise them!"
"In a big group, we're not going to do that."
"They let's follow them, if we're patient, we'll get our chance." Gus said.
Charles nodded. "Tomorrow we go to Austin and wait for them to show up."
Gus shook his head. "If this wasn't worth a million each, I'd say screw it."
.
Although the 'official' plane of the Acoustics was ready to fly back to Texas, many girls wanted to stay and play in Las Vegas a while. Joan wanted to get home to see Jackie when she arrived, Bob and Allison went with her. With some of the team staying behind, there was plenty of room on the plane. While many spread out, The loving trio still sat together, holding hands as they took off.
"We should get a house," Joan said in a musing tone.
"Season's over, we have plenty of time to find one," Bob said.
"Where?" Allison asked. "I mean sure we play football in Austin, but we only spend almost half the year there."
"Add another house around the lake?" Joan asked. "Wherever it is, I really like swimming whenever I want to."
"Yeah, that is fun," Allison agreed.
"We could build a house," Bob offered, and nudged Joan. "That is, if your parents will sell us some land by the lake."
Joan grinned. "I like that idea. Maybe between our house and Allie's?"
"That also will put us closer to the Mers." Allison noted.
.
Talking about a possible future house on the lake, the plane ride went fairly quickly. At the airport in Austin, they got on the limos (minivans) and returned to their rooms at the team compound. IN the lobby, the receptionist saw them and waved them down. "Joan Connor! Coach Baker want to see you."
"Already?" Joan asked with a frown. To her lovers she said, "I'll be up as soon as I can."
"We'll get you packed to go," Allison assured her.
"Thanks," Joan replied and headed off to see what Coach Baker wanted.
Coming to his office, she opened the door and poked her head in. She noticed there was another man in the other side of his desk. "Coach, you wanted to see me?" she asked.
"Yes, come in Joan. I'd like you to meet someone," Coach Baker said.
The men got up as Joan came in. The man on the visitor's side of the desk eyes Joan, appraising her.
"Joan, this is Coach Emerson, from the Dallas Cowboys."
"Hi," she offered.
Coach Emerson sized up Joan and said, "For what she's accomplished, she doesn't look very big. She gets tackled by a 250 pound lineman, I think she'd be crushed."
Joan grew a smirk, "Doubt it," she said.
"Joan is pretty tough," Coach Baker said. "She's also one hell of a quarterback."
"I watched a few of your games. This girl has a serious passing arm," Coach Emerson said. "Miss Connor, the reason I came is we seem to be having a bit of trouble in our pre season training games. I was wondering if we could borrow you for a couple weeks to help sharped up our defense. Our offense seems to lack a bit also."
"When?" Joan asked. "I do have to go home and see how my sister is doing first, at the very least."
"Soon as you can get there, and for the next couple weeks," Coach Emerson said. "Daily pay, ten grand a day every day you're there."
Joan's eyebrows went up. "Wow, you must want me there really bad."
"We got a few guys who need some … humility, and others who are stuck in a rut," Coach Emerson explained. "Some of the plays I watched you pull off on the surface, seem dumb and impossible that they would succeed, but you have gotten them off every time. We could use some of that imagination you got."
Joan nodded slowly. "All right. We were headed home tonight. After I see my sister's OK, give me a couple days, then head up … to Dallas, right?"
The man pulled out a small folder. "This is directions to the stadium, the number is at the bottom. Call just before you get there, and we'll have someone at the gate to meet you."
Joan chuckled. "I have the feeling they are going to seriously underestimate me."
"Me too. So, you coming?"
"Give me three days, max. Two if Jackie's already home like I hope she is."
.
Joan told Bob and Allison about her invitation to go play a few days with the Cowboys. Bob's only concern was Joan being all right off by herself.
Allison asked, "Want us to come along anyway?"
"You haven't seen your parents in a while. You haven't either, Bob. Look, you guys relax, I'll be gone two weeks, max. I'll be fine," Joan assured them.
.
While they were starting their trip home, Delilah was still driving towards Austin. At least they were in Texas now. Delilah was sick of driving, Jackie and Daniel were sick of riding.
Currently, Jackie was sitting behind her mother. Daniel was on the other side of the seat and looking like he wanted to lay down. she poked him to get his attention and said, "Here, put your head on my lap." She patted her lap.
Daniel did, stretching out on the seat. He looked up at her and grinned. Her right breast wasn't far above his face. Jackie checked the angle of the rear view mirror, and unbuttoned her shirt. With pulls, she also coaxed Daniel a little farther onto her lap.
Daniel's eyes were wide, his cheeks pink as he gazed at the inch or so opening of bare flesh that the unbuttoned shirt displayed. An arm under his head, Jackie lifted him up a little as she pulled her shirt aside in the right and folded her bra cup up, exposing her whole breast to him. When she bent to whisper in his ear, she planted her breast in his face. "Taste me," she said very softly, and sat back up.
Daniel's heart was beating in his ears. That perfectly shaped pink nipple was right there. He gently cupped her breast as he licked and suckled on her breast. He began petting and fondling. Dizzy from the joy of having Jackie's perfect orb right there for him to enjoy, he also felt his pants had gotten real tight in the crotch. Jackie was holding him up a little, almost like she was feeding her baby. She even gave him a kiss on his head, and petted his hair.
He was sure he was going to explode in his pants. This was beyond awesome! This wasn't just an under the shirt feel, or a peek. He had her whole bare breast in his hand while he was sucking on it! Was there anything better in life?
Taking a short break to lift up and give her a deep, heartfelt kiss, He still held onto the soft, very sexy orb he had in his hand. For a moment he completely forgot they were riding in a rented truck. He was reminded by Delilah's voice.
"Gas stop coming up!" Delilah announced. "Put yourselves together, bathroom, food and stretch your legs."
Daniel's heart went into his throat. She knew! He sat up quickly, wearing a crimson face.
Seeing his shocked face, Jackie chuckled as she put her clothes together. She cast him a smile and a wink.
Delilah stopped at the gas pumps. When Daniel got out, he had trouble walking at first. Seeing Jackie get out, she ran around to clasp his hand. They smiled at each other. He gave her a heartfelt kiss.
"OK, children! Jackie, here, get some snacks while you're in there." Delilah said and gave Jackie some money.
"What do you want, Mom?" Jackie asked.
"I'm fine. Get yourselves something," Delilah told her. She then raised up a finger and added, "Just so you know, nips cooled down with ice, or ice cream, then warmed up by a nice tender mouth feels really, really good!"
Daniel tried to hide. Jackie stared at her mother "Mom!" she cried.
Delilah shrugged. "I'm just saying," she offered and turned her attention to pumping gas.
Reddening on the side on her face that wasn't bandaged, Jackie grumbled, "How embarrassing."
On her right side holding her hand, Daniel smirked. That was an idea worth trying. It sounded real tasty.
Inside, Jackie thought about it, then did buy a couple Popsicles.
.
Charles and Gus did watch the team get in their airport limos. They followed the limos to the team compound, then turned around and watched from a parking spot on the other side of the street.
"When they come out, we follow them. At a convenient time we have a small accident, then grab them?" Gus asked.
Charles shook his head. "No, when we get to a fairly isolated section of road, we run them off the road then throw the sleeping gas in the car before they can get out and wait. We use that metal strapping we got to tie them up, then we can check them for weapons and toss them in the back."
"OK. Should I get the gas canisters ready?"
"After we get on the road."
*three hours later*
"Hey they're coming out!" Gus said, watching the girls exiting in 'cowboy ' clothes, shirt, pants boots and wide brim hats.
Charles perked up and watched the gaggle talking and heading to their cars. Studying them, he said, "I can't make out which ones are our targets. Binoculars!"
"They're in the back," Gus said tipping his head in that direction.
Charles glared a him. "WHY are they back there?"
"Because that's where we put our stuff."
Charles made a grumbling sound then said, "Maybe we can ID them coming out, watch closely!"
.
"So, you'll be there in two to three days?" Coach Emerson confirmed as he walked out with Joan, with Allison and Bob behind them.
"That's right. I'd come now but I have to see how my sister is doing with her injuries," Joan told him.
"Car accident?" he asked.
"No, plane crash. She was the only survivor," Joan explained.
"Damn. Sorry to hear that. At least she survived," he offered. "How bad was she hurt?"
"From hat I understand, dislocated knee, and all kinds of cuts and a hard smash in the face from running into trees," Joan told him. Seeing his face she added, "She didn't crash with the plane, she jumped out a hole in the side of it and tried to land in the lake, but she missed."
"She's lucky to be alive!" he said in a gasp.
Joan giggled. "Mom asked her if she and I had a contest going, who can get hurt the worse and live to tell about it."
"What happened to you?"
"I wasn't paying attention when I was under water and an alligator grabbed me."
Bob snorted, "I remember that, you did look pretty sad when I pulled you out of the water." To the coach, he said, "Mom saw her and fainted. She'd stripped her arm of flesh all the way to the bone. It was pretty gross."
"I learned my lesson. One, watch what's around me and two, never try to yank your arm out of an alligator's mouth," Joan said.
"You got away?" the coach asked.
"Yeah, I had to punch the gator a couple times in the head. I'm just glad Bob came to help get me out of the water," Joan said and cast Bob a smile.
"How big was this alligator?"
Joan shrugged. "I didn't really look. Ten, twelve feet. Big. I was kinda in a hurry to get to the surface and get help." Holding up her right arm she said, "He had clamped down on my arm from just below the elbow, almost to my wrist. When I punched him and jerked by arm back, only the bone came out. THAT really hurt! When I punched him, I think I might have killed him, because Mom was able to find him and get my flesh back."
Coach Emerson shook his head. "Be more careful, and stop swimming in places where alligators are," he said.
"I'll do my best," Joan replied.
"Guys, we should go if we're going to be home before nightfall." Allison coaxed.
"Yeah, we need to get going," Joan agreed. "See you in a couple days, Coach."
They all waved to him. He waved back. Damn, she not only fought an alligator under water, but won. Her sister was no softie either, jumping out of a plane and not getting killed. This was one tough family!
Going to the Bronco, they loaded their things in the back and climbed in. On their way out, Allison said, "The two guys in that blue car were watching us leave."
Bob turned around to look behind them. That blue car that just pulled out in a 'U' turn?"
"Yes, they are following us."
"Allie, think it's those guys who tried to grab you before?" Joan asked.
"Might be. They're a ways back, I can't tell."
Joan grinned, "Watch them. Mom One told me about how to shake a tail."
.
Charles watched the Bronco ahead of them. Coming to a light, the Bronco slowed, then stopped on the green light. Horns behind them blared. A few seconds after the light went yellow, then quickly turned right.
"What are they doing?" Charles complained. A couple cars went right. Not enough for them to get to the corner.
"You lost them," Gus said.
"Screw you! they could have kept going, who's driving that thing!" Charles spat.
The light turned and Charles got to the intersection and turned right. "Look for them!" he snapped.
Searching, Gus saw them coming from the other way and passed them. "There, they turned around!"
There was heavy traffic, Charles couldn't find a place to turn. "Watch them!" he said and went to go right on the next street. it was a one-way. Damn it! He finally saw and opening to get into a parking lot on the left. He managed to get into the lot and turned around to head in the right direction.
"They turned right and kept going down 5th." Gus said.
Charles went the same way. With the traffic it was hard to make up any distance. Both men watching the road and traffic ahead of them. They went a few more blocks, searching. Signs for the highway was coming up. Gus searched the on ramps. Ahead, the traffic was thinner.
"I don't see them," Charles grumbled.
"Neither do I,"Gus said.
Motion in the rear view mirror caught Charles' attention. Four cars behind them, the girl on the passenger side in the Bronco had her arm out the window and waved to them. The Bronco then got on the on ramp.
"God DAMN IT! How did they get behind us!" He raged. with the angle of the ramps, he didn't know of they were headed east or west. The raised highway hid which way they went. "Damn IT!" he said again and punched the steering wheel.
Gus let out a sigh. "They knew we were following them."
"But ... how?"
"Beats me. Turn around again and pick a direction They are on the highway, we still have a chance to catch them." Gus told him, and watched the highway east bound side that he could see. He looked for the Bronco as Charles looked for a place to turn around again.
"Hey, I'm not seeing the on the east bound lanes, they must have gone west."
.
"Good driving Joan!" Bob beamed. "Allie did you get a look at them?"
"Some when they passed us when we were parked in that lot. I don't think it's the same guys."
"Reporters, maybe?" Joan asked.
"I'll keep an eye out for them," Bob told her.
A half hour later, Bob noticed a speeder coming up from behind. "Blue car, coming up fast," he said.
Joan looked. "It's them. Persistent, aren't they?" She stepped on it enough to pass a semi, then slowed back down in front of it to match it's speed.
A couple minutes later, the blue car with the two men shot past them. as they flew on, the brakes came on.
Allison said, "They are looking back at us."
"And slowing down," Joan noted.
.
"They're behind us AGAIN!" Charles said in a growl.
"They know we're trying to follow them," Gus said. "I don't think this is working."
"OK, OK! We'll just follow them from in front," Charles said with a grin.
.
"What are they doing?" Joan asked no one. The car was keeping pace with them about 50 yards ahead.
Allison let out a giggle. "Pretend to take the next exit, if they do, we keep going."
"Great idea," Joan beamed. She then added, "Ohh, I got another idea. after they get off and we don't, they'll get back on, won't they."
"Probably."
Joan looked out to the left. "I'd say we're only what, five more miles to our exit?"
"About that," Bob agreed.
Coming up on the next exit, Joan slowed some turned the blinker on and moved over into the exit lane. The car ahead of them did also. The truck passed her, behind it was clear. She turned back into the highway and got in the left lane. Right after crossing the bridge, she slowed and got down into the median, then went up the other side. it was clear. She crossed the east bound lanes and drove down the bank.
Unseen by them, Charles got back on the west bound highway and once again, raced to catch up with them.
It was a bouncy ride though the landscape, Joan angled away from the highway. They did the last few miles overland, then found the road into Driftwood and went home. Joan really liked her Bronco. 4 wheel drive rocked.
.
Calling home, Joan found out Delilah and Jackie were due home soon ad everyone around the lake were coming to welcome her home. Instead of dropping Bob and Allison off, Joan just drove up to the house.
It was a fun reunion with plenty of hugs and Joan and Allison showed off their awards and gold MVP trophy. The only ones who weren't there were Mark and Sonya, who'd gone to pick up Delilah, Jackie, and Daniel. Barnabas had arrived a day earlier.
"Season's over now, so you'll be home for a while?" John asked.
Joan winced. "Not really, Dad, I have to go to Dallas. Their Coach came to see us, he wants me to help their team improve a bit."
"Kick them in the ass?" Cameron asked with a smirk.
"Pretty much, yeah," Joan agreed. Seeing Louise and Peggy with a bag of food, she asked, "Feeding the alligator?"
"We are," Peggy said and motioned for her to come.
"I'll be back," Joan announced and followed them out the door.
Chuckles rose. "Joan and that alligator," Sarah said with a huff.
"She should put a leash on it," Martin commented.
"No, no alligators in the house," Cameron told him with a smirk. To Allison, she said, "That last game for the cup was very close."
"It was!" Allison beamed. "At the end, it could have gone either way..."
.
As Allison told about their game against Seattle, Joan went down to the dock with Louise and Peggy.
How's things been around here?" she asked.
"We're back in school, summer fun is over," Louise said with a sigh. "But I am getting really good on the piano. Everyone remembers the mini concert our parents did at that one pig roast, so we're looking at doing another one in the fall. Moms and Sonya agreed to sing in it."
"That's cool!"
Peggy shrugged and said, "Johnny and I have just been working on the farm. My younger parents hired those people from Mexico that come up for work. We got tons of work done too! All the arbors are up, and with the fertilizer and irrigation ditches we all put in, the vines are loaded with grapes! Mika says it's going to be the best harvest ever. We have fun too! The Mexicans give these parties and it's a blast! They'll be leaving right after harvest though. While they are gone, we're going to put up small houses so they don't have to live on a bus." he grinned and added, "They work so hard too, Johnny said we have to work hard just to keep up with them."
A hiss came from their left. Joan looked, the alligator had been over by the fence in the yard, it was walking over to them.
"What's up with her?" Louise asked.
The alligator ambled quickly over and and came up beside Joan to rub it's snout against her leg. Rubbing the back side of her knees, it knocked Joan down on her hands and knees. It then got it's head under her and pushed up.
Joan laughed and fell to the side. The alligator kept bumping it's snout against her.
"I think she's happy to see you," Peggy said in a giggle.
Joan, lying on the ground, gave the alligator a hug and petted her. "I'm happy to see you too."
A hiss and the alligator gently grabbed her sleeve in it's mouth and pulled.
"OK, OK!" Joan cried and crawled along with it so it didn't pull her shirt off. She then heard a drone nearby. It was Bob's camera drone. When she had the chance, she waved to it. The alligator pulled her down to the dock. Coming to the end, it wasn't stopping.
"Wait ... no, no!" Joan cried. She pulled back and her shirt was slipping off. The end of the dock was coming up. She was going to lose her shirt or get pulled in. Quickly, she kicked off her boots and relaxed, her arms out to let her shirt slip off. It got bunched up around her shoulders. She saw the water below her and went off the end with the alligator, letting out a yelp.
Louise and Peggy were laughing themselves silly.
.
Bob had the TV connected to the drone so they all saw the latest action at the dock. When Joan tumbled into the water, finally losing her shirt as she sank to the bottom and the alligator surfaced holding her shirt, everyone had a hearty laugh. Joan climbed up the posts and made her way down the dock in the water. When she got far enough where she could stand up, she retrieved her shirt and tossed it on the dock.
Standing in shoulder deep water with only her bra on, Joan took the food from Louise and fed the alligator right in front of her. She lifted her arm up, the alligator opened it's mouth, she tossed the food in.
SNAP
Bob hovered the drone, watching Joan feed the alligator with a smile on her face. After she fed it the last piece, she pulled the alligator a little closer and hugged it. The Alligator put a claw on her shoulder, as if to hug her back.
"No matter what she says, that is Joan's alligator," Cameron said.
"As long as they don't start kissing," Allison commented, which raised some more laughter.
On the video, the alligator moved to the dock and tried to get up. Joan help by lifting it up to get it's front feet gripping the dock. Joan then went under. . The alligator lifted up. Joan had her hands under it's back feet and lifted it clear of the water. The alligator walked onto the dock and stopped as Joan climbed out of the water.
Leaving the dock, Joan wrung her shirt out then twirled it around in fast motions before putting it back on. Joan on one side of the alligator, Peggy and Louise on the other, they all walked back up into the yard.
Peggy pointed to the driveway. Bob turned the drone to see Sonya and Mark were here. Everyone went out to meet them and Jackie.
.
At a rest stop 50 miles down the road, Charles and Gus were standing and watching traffic go by. It was getting dark, and they glowered at the traffic.
"Think they got off on another exit?" Charles asked.
"Could be. All I know is, we lost them," Gus grumbled.
"That Bronco isn't that fast! We should have caught up to them!"
"If they slipped off on an exit, we won't catch them."
"We almost had them!" Charles spat.
"No, we didn't. They made us right after we started following them," Gus said with a sigh. "Let's go find a room for the night. I'm tired."
.
Sitting at the table in the lounge facing Jackie, Delilah said, "Let's get a good look at this." She unwrapped the head bandage and studied Jackie's face. Daniel was on the other side, watching. Delilah gently prodded the brown, clotted mass. She frowned a bit and said, "This isn't all clot. Daniel could you get me a bowl of hot water, washcloth and some soap?"
"Yeah, sure," he got up and went to get it.
Delilah touched and lightly picked at the giant scab over Jackie's eye. Bits came off. Daniel returned with a bowl of water, washcloth, towel and soap. Seeing Daniel looked worried she said, "Jackie will Heal, Daniel."
"I know. It's just sad seeing her hurt."
"She should be healing by now," Delilah said in a musing tone as she frowned. she got the washcloth wet and soaped it up good, then washed all around the scab and over it to soften it up. Working at it, she coaxed a chunk away. Under it was bark.
"Brought some tree home with you, huh?" Delilah teased. She picked the bark out.
"Had to get a souvenir," Jackie quipped, then winced.
"Sorry," Delilah washed again and eased the chunk of bark off her face. Behind it, was Jackie's blue eye. "Hello, can you see me?"
Jackie smiled. "I can!"
"Yes!" Daniel cried.
With the large mass gone, it looked like Jackie had a single, brown goggle on her face. Delilah got up and waved Daniel over to her side. "That's the worst of it. Daniel, can you get the rest of that off? You saw how I did it, right?"
"Yeah," he said and came around the table to take Delilah's seat.
Delilah paused to watch Daniel gently working at Jackie's face. Their attention was on each other like the rest of the world didn't even exist. This was a good bonding experience for them.
.
Joan got to watch the 'alligator lovin' video Bob made. he had to grin at the antics. Although it wasn't really that funny at the time, she did see now how silly it looked. When it was over, Bob gave her the thumb drive.
"Here, so you can think of your alligator when you're away."
Joan chuckled and smacked him on the shoulder. "Come help me load my car."
Bob did, thinking she was just bringing a travel bad and her uniforms. He was surprised to see her grab hr pillow and a blanket off the bed. "What are you doing?" he asked.
"In case I need them."
"Like, if you get stranded?" he asked.
"Maybe I'll just pull over in a rest stop to take a snooze."
She left the room, Bob followed. "Hold on, don't tell me you're too cheap to get motel room with the money you got."
"I might not want to look for a motel room. It's easy to just pull off the highway into a rest stop."
"OH, like motels are hard to find. There's at least one at just about every exit."
"Yeah, but some got bugs."
Bob had to laugh. "I've never seen one with bugs, have you?"
"No, but I'm sure there is."
"You just want to rough it." Bob concluded.
Going out to the car, they put the stuff in. Cameron came up behind them.
"You and Bob heading to Dallas?' Cameron asked.
"No, just me," Joan said. She poked Bob and added, "Give Bob and Allie some time , long as she doesn't get her pregnant. I want to be first."
"You're not going alone," Cameron stated. "I talked to Allison about those idiots who tried to follow you. You do know Jackie's plane was probably sabotaged. The plane she and Delilah were suppose to get on also crashed. They were both service just before takeoff. Whoever this is, doesn't mind killing people to try to gt to you. You're not going alone."
"Joan, you Mom's making sense," Bob said in a serious tone. "I'd feel better if someone went with you."
"Mom, what are you going to do when I'm on the practice field?" Joan asked. "Sit in the bleachers and watch?"
"Yes. I'm going with you." Cameron stated.
"Ughhh!, OK," Joan conceded with a roll of her eyes.
Cameron looked at Bob with a terminator stare. "Bob, make sure she doesn't leave without me."
"Yes, Mrs. Connor."
.
"They have to be some place!"Charles grumbled as he searched on his lap top.
Gus looked over at him from the bar. "I don't think you'll find them in the internet."
"You can find anything on the internet," Charles stated.
"Charlie, we know they play for Austin, right?"
"My name is Charles!"
"Anyway, I was thinking of a device to catch them," Gus said. "Seen that new strap-wrap the cops got? They drive up and an arm wraps it around the back tires and stops cars."
"What about it?"
"We get one of those, then we can stop their car, bust the back window and toss in sleep gas."
Charles eyed him. "Yeah? And how do we stop them from getting out of the car?"
"Working on it," Gus said in a grumble.
.
The drive to Dallas wasn't bad, Joan told Cameron how great it was making her own money and having fun along with it.
"I'm glad you're happy. Did you get a look t those two men who were following you?"
"Not a very good look," Joan replied. "Saw their car all right, medium blue two door Toyota, I even got their license number, it's a Texas plate."
Cameron pulled her phone out. "Tell me the number."
Joan did, Cameron called John Henry, he gave her the name and the address in Dallas where Charles Letcher lived.
"Thanks, John Henry." Cameron closed up her phone. "I know where that guy is. Once you get to the stadium, I have to borrow your car."
