It was night time in Paris. Marinette was in bed, watching Chat Noir memes on her phone. "Check out the hilarious new cat memes featuring Chat Noir. They're purr-fect," the phone said.

Marinette laughed, but she stopped when she noticed Tikki being a bit fidgety. "You're so flighty tonight, Tikki. Whatcha got your mind on?"

Tikki said, a little sadly, "The kwami Nooroo's transmission is…"

"Hawk Moth's kwami?"

"Yes. He's celebrating his thirty-five hundredth cycle today… all by himself."

"We will free him from Hawk Moth one of these days, I promise."

"There may just be a faster solution. Kwamis are able to communicate with their kind on their cycle, or birthday. But we won't get another opportunity for a long time. See? A kwami's cycle lasts several hundreds of human years."

Marinette was surprised to hear that. Finally, some good news! "Wow! That's amazing! Then… you could find out where he is. But… how would you do that?"

"The kwamis must gather in the Miracle Box at a specific time."

"When would that be?"

Tikki hesitated, then she said, "Tonight.

"Tonight?! Why didn't you tell me about this sooner, Tikki?!"

"Because Master Fu doesn't want us kwamis to leave our owner's sides. He says we have to be able to take action immediately if someone becomes akumatized."

Marinette calmed down as she thought that was sensible. "Hmm… he's right. But surely it's no big deal, I mean… if all the other kwamis are able to meet up, then it's still gonna happen, right?"

"Well, I'm afraid it might not work if I don't go. The more kwamis that are present, the better chance we have of succeeding!"

"But, if Master Fu doesn't approve…"

Tikki cheered her owner up a bit by telling her, "Wayzz, Plagg and I have an idea; well, it was mainly Plagg's idea. Plagg and I would go and gather with other kwamis inside the Miracle Box. Wayzz would stand guard and he'd let us know right away if anyone becomes akumatized. What do you think?"

"That's a great idea! There is no risk if Wayzz is keeping a look out."

"Even if we don't tell Master Fu the whole truth?"

"If it means we're able to save Nooroo and defeat Hawk Moth, Master Fu won't be able to hold it against you."

"So you're okay with it? You'll let me go?"

Marinette nodded. "Yes, I trust you Tikki."

"Oh, thank you, Marinette! You don't have to worry, I won't let you down. Sweet dreams!" The little kwami picked up a marker and flew through the wall with it. Marinette smiled, confident their plan will work and turned off her lamp to go to sleep.

At Adrien's house, the boy was studying geography while Plagg was reading a magazine all about cheese. He let out a yawn. "I am exhausted. I'm off to bed."

Adrien didn't even look away form his studies as he said, "Uh… good night Plagg!"

Plagg made doubly sure he wasn't looking, then placed a sock puppet version of himself under the pillow, then flew through the wall.

In his office, Gabriel was doing paperwork with Nathalie. When she saw how late it was, she got up from her seat to turn in for the night. "Good night, sir," she said.

When Nooroo saw her go, he tried to fly away, but something compelled him to stop. Gabriel asked coldly, "Where do you think you're going, Nooroo?"

"I just wanted to go out… just for a little while."

"No, you know the rules. You're not allowed to be more than a few feet away from me and no communicating with anyone besides me. There are no exceptions."

"But, Master, it's my birthday today. I thought—"

"You obviously haven't grasped the rules, Nooroo. We're going to have to make them even simpler. From now on you won't be able to communicate. At all."

"But, Master—" Suddenly, the little kwami found himself unable to speak. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't even scream.

Gabriel chuckled. "Huh, it was a joke, Nooroo. I'm not that cruel." He undid the spell with a snap of his fingers and the little kwami bowed sadly.

"Thank you, Master."

Suddenly, the butterfly brooch he was wearing began to glow. "Change of plans, Nooroo."

The circular window to Hawk Moth's lair opened and butterflies swarmed around him. "I feel an emotion of great intensity. So pure…" He grabbed one of the butterflies and turned it from white to purple. "Fly away my little Akuma and evilize him!"

Elsewhere, Rudi was playing with his handheld game system when suddenly, the Mask began to glow. "Hmm? What's up?"

Uh, would you mind putting me on?

"Why? There's no Akuma attack."

Call it a gut feeling.

"But you don't have guts."

JUST PUT ME ON, DAMN IT!

"Fine, fine. It's show time. I guess."

Flying across the streets of Paris, Tikki ran into Plagg, who was carrying a wedge of cheese. "Hey, Sugar Cube," he said.

Tikki groaned in annoyance. "Ugh. I've already told you not to call me that. Do you ever hear me calling you 'Stinky Sock'?"

"No, but you should! That would be delightful, Sugar Cube!" Tikki face palmed. "So, what lies did you tell your owner in order to sneak out tonight?

"Actually, I just told her the honest truth."

"Oh? Maybe I should try that someday; see what it's like." And then he ate the entire wedge.

"Plagg! You should've saved some for the others."

"True, but I was so grossed out by your kindness that it made me really hungry."

Tikki sighed. "I hope we can get in contact with Nooroo…"

"So do I," Plagg sniffled.

"Are you crying?"

He quickly wiped his tears. "Who me? O-of course not! Are you kidding? Come on, let's race! The last one there won't get any cheese!"

The two kwamis flew to Master Fu's massage parlor where Wayzz was waiting for them. "Hey Wayzz! How's it goin'?"

Wayzz shushed the cat kwami. "Sssshhh! You'll wake up Master!" Master Fu was lying in bed, snoring away with a book over his face. "If you manage to contact Nooroo, wish him a happy thirty-five hundred cycles for me."

"We sure will, Wayzz," said Tikki.

She and Plagg flew into the gramophone's horn and into the alternate realm inside the Miracle Box. It was a vast dimension with different colors of light and scattered around it were random trinkets.

"Hi, everybody. We're here!" Plagg called out.

They were greeted by kwamis that were based on the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac as well as a bee kwami and Trixx, the fox kwami. "Plagg! Tikki! You came!" They cheered in delight to be reunited with their friends.

"Oh, with you here, we'll manage to get in touch with Nooroo for sure," said the goat kwami.

"Good day to you, noble kwamis of Creation and Destruction," said the bee kwami.

"Oh! What did you bring?! What did you bring?!" asked the pig kwami.

"Brothers and sisters living within the walls of the Miracle Box," Plagg announced. "On this special day, I brought you some delicious cheese."

"Oh, I love cheese," said the pig kwami.

"Wow, that's so nice," said the goat kwami.

"Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice it on the way here, to feed a poor, starving kitten."

Tikki groaned at her cat counterpart's lie.

"What about you, Tikki?" asked the pig kwami.

"From my owner's home, I bring you this." She showed them the marker.

The other kwamis took it from her, though they were unsure what to do with it until the tiger kwami popped it off. "Wait, wait! I think I've got it. It's a paintbrush!" She started to make random doodles with it, and the others were impressed, like they'd never seen one in their lives.

"So shiney," said the dog kwami.

"Let the party begin!" shouted the monkey kwami.

Music began to play, and all the kwamis sang and danced at their own pace.

Tikki and Plagg and a snake kwami conversed while the others danced. "It is a good thing you are here. Your owners were wise to give you permission to come."

"Yes, Sass. Marin—" Suddenly, bubbles popped out of Tikki's mouth, silencing her.

"Your owner?"

Plagg laughed at her. "Hahaha, you forgot about the magic spell! We can't say our owner's names to each other, remember?"

"Yes." Tikki corrected herself, "My owner is the best Ladybug I've ever served."

Sass nodded. "We are also very lucky that the guardian of the Miracle Box agreed to it too." Ouch.

Plagg said, "Well… shall we dance, Tikki? We have to properly celebrate our friend Nooroo after all." Tikki nodded.

Marinette mumbled in her sleep. "Adrien… A house… three kids and a cat. Nah, forget the cat; a hamster." Suddenly, she heard her bedroom door knock and she awoke with a start. "Tikki? Are you back already?"

But what came through the door wasn't Tikki, but some zombie version of Adrien. It moaned, "Marinette. Do you wanna know my secret?"

"A-Adrien?"

"I'm in love with a girl and her name is Chloé! One day, Chloé and I will have a house together and we'll have a hamster named Marinette."

Marinette let out a scream of fright and ran to the balcony. "What kind of a nightmare is this?" She heard screams and looked down to see people being chased by all sorts of monsters. She heard singing and looked up to see a boy with wild blue hair riding a flying pillow and sprinkling sand everywhere. "The Sandboy just checked in, now nightmares can begin," he sang.

"He must be bringing nightmares to life," said Marinette. "Tikki, SPOTS..." Then she remembered, "Tikki, spots on! Oh, no! I forgot! It's… I've gotta find Tikki!"

Zombie Adrien burst through the door and moaned, "Marinette. The prettiest and smartest one of all is Chloé!"

Marinette dodged his grabbing and jumped down her hatch. She then ran out of her room and down the stairs where her father was rolling dough and singing. Then suddenly, sand sprinkled on him and the dough suddenly came to life and attacked him.

"Yummy! I've always dreamed of gobbling up a baker!"

"AAUUGH! WHAT KIND OF NIGHTMARE IS THIS?!"

Meanwhile, Adrien was still studying when sand sprinkled on him and bars suddenly dropped down on all the doors and the windows. "What's going on?! Plagg! Wake up!" But instead of Plagg, he found a sock puppet. "Oh no! Who's turned you into a sock?!"

Big-Head leaped across the rooftops, following the strange feeling that seemed to lead him toward the Seine.

What's going on? I feel...a presence ever since I put you on. And I think it's getting stronger.

"Don't worry about it." Suddenly, he heard a scream. He looked down to see people running away from monsters like giant spiders, alligators, robots, zombies, squids and devils. "What the heck is this?"

He got his answer when he heard someone singing, "The Sandboy just checked in, now nightmares can begin!" He looked up to see a boy with wild blue hair riding on a flying pillow and sprinkling sand wherever he went. Every time the sand touched someone, a monster based off of their nightmares appeared.

"Damn it, not now!" Big-Head smacked himself in the face. "Leave it! Let Ladybug and Chat Noir take care of that!" He continued to race for the Seine, and he could feel the presence he felt before grow even stronger.

Back in the Miracle Box, Sass gathered the other kwamis and they formed a circle. "My friends, the time has come. Fellow kwamis, tonight, as you know, we have a special opportunity to create a connection with Nooroo. But we must put our voices together in order to achieve this. Kwamis, sing!"

The kwamis held their hands and began to sing loud.

"Deam the impossible dream,
To fight the unbeatable foe,
To bear with unbearable sorrow,
To run where the brave dare not go.

To right the unrightable wrong,
To love pure and chaste from afar,
To try when your arms are too weary,
To reach the unreachable star.

This is my quest,
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless,
No matter how far.

To fight for the right
Without question or pause,
To be willing to march
Into hell for a heavenly cause.

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will be peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest.

And the world will be better for this,
That one man scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage.
To fight the unbeatable foe.
To reach the unreachable star."

Marinette ran for the massage parlor, still being chased by the zombie Adrien who was still declaring his love for Chloe. She saw two bizarre scenes: the garbage man being chased by trash bins and Officer Roger being chased by his own troops.

Adrien tried to flee, but the bars kept closing in around him no matter how much he wanted to escape. It was too much. He fell to his knees and cried, "Nathalie! Father! Can anybody hear me?!" He began crying. "Help me! Please! Someone!"

In his apartment, Walter was playing the knife game with himself when he noticed the black hand cards with the ladybird beetle, cat and fox symbols began to glow and move. He opened the window and watched them fly out. Quickly, he proceeded to follow them.

"It's getting chaotic down there," Big-Head said as he continued to follow...whatever he was following along the Seine. Suddenly, he heard it. "Singing? What's going on? Why do I hear this?"

The kwamis continued to sing, but whatever effect they were hoping for wasn't happening. "It's not working, Sass," said Tikki.

"We are missing a few kwamis. We need the peafowl. We've not heard from her in such a long time, now!"

"What if we brought Wayzz in," suggested Plagg.

"We won't have another opportunity to contact Nooroo until his next birthday. Go get him!"

But Wayzz shook his head. "Mm-mm. I have to stand guard."

"But this could be our only chance of finding Nooroo… and Hawk Moth!"

Wayzz thought it over, then he said, "Okay! Let's go!"

Wayzz took place in the circle and the singing started again. The circle they were floating on, which was pink before, started to become blue, starting at the outside and moving inwards. As the blue reached the centre, a blue shockwave-ring shot out. All ball of energy formed in the centre and shortly after, a beam of energy shot upwards.

Big-Head felt another pang in his head, but he bared it as he began to smile. "So that's why it felt so familiar."

Marinette opened the door to the massage parlor, trying to keep quiet. She snuck over to the phonograph and pressed with her thumbs on the dragon heads. Their eyes lit up and the code pad is revealed. "Oh, no! What's the code?" She called into the phonograph's horn, "Tikki! Can you hear me? Tikki?!" Suddenly, sand sprinkled into the room. Marinette shook the old man awake, "Master, Master, wake up!"

Master Fu awoke and muttered, half asleep and half awake, "Wha...Marinette? What's..."

"Quick, Master, we can't stay here!"

Suddenly, bedsheet ghosts appeared and circled around the old man. "Fu! We are the ghosts of the Order of the Guardians of The Miraculous. You caused our downfall and lost two Miraculous!"

Despite the ghosts being not scary whatsoever, their words made the old man tremble. "It was not my fault. I did not do it on purpose."

"Yes, it was your fault. Your fault. Your fault. Your fault."

Master Fu turned to Marinette, desperate. "Marinette, transform!"

"I can't, Master. Tikki is inside the Miracle Box!"

Suddenly, the zombie Adrien broke down the wall. "I'm in love with a girl and her name is Chloé!" Marinette let out a scream and punched him in the face.

"This is disastrous, Marinette. There's no way of communicating with the kwamis when they are in their magic world."

Hawk Moth was confused. Where were the Miracle Heroes? "Sandboy is turning Paris into one huge nightmare… and yet there's no sign of Ladybug or Cat Noir. What is going on?!" Suddenly, he heard voices. Voices calling out his kwami's name. Growing louder. And louder. "Argh! What is that?!"

When the kwamis heard that voice, they gasped. "That's not Nooroo!" exclaimed Tikki.

"It's Hawk Moth!" said Plagg.

"Keep singing," said the ox kwami. "We must try to find out where he's hiding!"

"A-ha! It's me who's going to find you, little kwamis! And I will make you my slaves, just like Nooroo!"

The kwami's groaned as they felt Hawk Moth's will begin to corrupt the spell. "His will is too powerful," said the rabbit kwami.

The dog kwami barked, "We must cut off all communication! Hawk Moth is trying to track us down!"

But before they could, someone else's voice was heard. "Well, well, well. What have we here?"

Everyone gasped. "I know that voice," said Tikki. "It's Big-Head!"

"End it now!" shouted Wayzz. "His mischief magic could have adverse effects on all of us!" The kwamis let go of their hands and the spell ended. "Hey, wait. The reason we can't speak to Nooroo is because he's powering Hawk Moth right now. Which means Hawk Moth's probably akumatized someone!"

"And since Plagg and Tikki are here with us…" the horse kwami realized.

"Ladybug and Chat Noir aren't able to transform," the goat kwami exclaimed. She said to Plagg and Tikki, "Go and find your owners right away!"

Hawk Moth staggered a little, but he wore a vicious grin on his face. "They're making a serious mistake. I just felt the kwamis somewhere on the right bank of the Seine. Find them! Capture them!"

Sandboy heard his command and nodded. "Yes, Hawk Moth."

Walter reached the Seine when the cards stopped and dropped to the ground. Somewhere around here were the source of the ladybird beetle, cat and fox's powers.

Big-Head groaned. Then he chuckled. "So, you're all here."

Hey, what's going on?! What aren't you telling me?!

"We just met the source of Ladybug and Chat Noir's powers, and they're somewhere here near the Seine!"

Wait, what are you talking about?! We have to stop that Sandboy!

"Shut up and let me do my thing!"

"NO!" Rudi shouted as he tore off the Mask. "No, you're not! You've got to get your priorities straight!"

Put me on. Right now.

"No. Not until we find that sand guy. In the meantime, you stay here," said Rudi as he put the Mask into his pocket.

Tikki and Plagg popped out of the gramophone and were shocked to find Master Fu fighting bedsheet ghosts and Marinette fighting a zombie Adrien. "Marinette, for your birthday, I'm going to buy you flowers—hortensias, roses and Chloés."

TIkki was practically repulsed. "Hey! Isn't that your owner?"

Plagg scoffed. "Of course not! Flowers? Pwah! No way! The real one talks nonsense but it's never this bad. I'd better go find him. I just hope he's not living a nightmare without me around." He flew out the window and toward the Agreste Mansion.

Tikki flew over to Marinette and apologized, "Marinette, it didn't work!"

Wayzz said to Master Fu, "I'm sorry, Master, we should've warned you."

"We'll talk about it later, Wayzz!"

"Right now, we have to end this nightmare! Tikki, SPOTS ON!" Tikki was sucked into the earrings and in a flash of red and black, Marinette transformed into Ladybug.

Sandboy smirked as he spotted Plagg flying across the sky. "Kwami in sight."

"That's Chat Noir's kwami. Capture it or follow it all the way to its owner."

Sandboy nodded and obeyed Hawk Moth's command. "The Sandboy just checked in. Now nightmares can begin," he shouted as he fired sand at the little kwami from his pillow.

Plagg dodged the sand and blew a raspberry at him as he said, " I already know what my nightmare is; and you'll never get me to eat dairy-free cheese."

Suddenly, a rocket fired out of nowhere and struck Sandboy, making him crash into the street. Groaning, Sandboy got up to his feet and gasped to see Big-Head looming over him with a rocket launcher. "Hands off the kwami! It's mine!"

Sandboy gasped in fear and backed away from him. "S-Stay away from me!"

"Oh? I thought you liked people being scared," Big-Head chuckled as he tossed the rocket launcher away. "You think what you can do is scary? Check this out." He tore the flesh off his face and let out a scream as his eyes popped out of his sockets, frightening the Sandboy out of his wits. He put the flesh back on and said, "You like it?" Sandboy just whimpered, then began crying. "I'll take that as a yes."

Black smoke enveloped him as he collapsed into a pile of sand. All of the nightmares created dissolved into sand as well and joined the first sand pile and it grew and grew until it started to form a giant sand version of the Sandboy. "THE SANDBOY JUST CHECKED IN," it roared. "NOW NIGHTMARES CAN BEGIN!" Sand fell from his body, creating more nightmare monsters.

"Hoo boy," was all Big-Head said.

Plagg made a worried sound as he watched Sandboy attack. "Oh, no! He's been Megakumatized! I've got to get to Adrien now!" But before he could, a big hairy hand grabbed him and began squeezing him. He looked up and gasped at what he saw. "W-Walter!"

The giant reached into his pocket and pulled out a pair of tweezers. Plagg shut his eyes as the tweezers moved toward him...and plucked a few strands of hair out. He opened his eyes in surprise. "That's it?" Walter let him go, placed the hairs in a vial and walked away. "Seriously?! THAT'S IT?!" In response, Walter made a "shoo" gesture with his hands. "That guy is creepy," Plagg muttered as he flew away.

Plagg flew into Adrien's room to find the boy struggling to free himself from the shrinking bars. "Adrien! Are you okay?"

Adrien grabbed the little kwami and pulled him into a hug. "Plagg! I'm so relieved you're not a sock, but you better have a good excuse."

"Good to see you've managed to survive your nightmare."

"Quick! Plagg, CLAWS OUT!" Plagg was sucked into the ring and in a flash of black and green, Adrien turned into Chat Noir. "CATACLYSM!" He used his powers on the bars, freeing himself. He quickly grabbed a piece of cheese to recharge Plagg.

Chat Noir landed on one of the roofs where he saw a giant Sandboy causing chaos in the streets. "A Megakuma! Just what we needed." Ladybug and Big-Head landed next to him with a thud. "M'Lady! Tonight's been a total nightmare… until you showed up." He kissed her hand.

Ladybug groaned. "This is no time for lullabies. Thanks to Big-Head, I have no idea how to find the akuma."

"Maybe if kitty were to use he as a litter box, he might surrender?" Chat Noir smacked Big-Head on the head with his staff. "You have no sense of humor." He looked carefully and saw a pillow in the center of the creature. "What about that? It's the only thing that's not sandy."

"Then that's where we have to strike," said Ladybug. "LUCKY CHARM!" She twirled her yo-yo in the air, but she got hit by the sand before the spell could be completed. She tried again, but nothing happened. "What's happening?" She tried to jump, but could only jump like a normal human being. She realized her powers were gone.

"Good job, Sandboy. Without her powers, she won't be able to stop you from taking her Miraculous. Ladybug, your nightmare is my dream come true!"

Sandboy smirked as he obeyed Hawk Moth's command and reached for Ladybug's earrings only to get shot in the face by Big-Head. "Get away from me!" He tossed sand into Big-Head's eyes then sent him flying.

He landed on the ground with a thud. He got up and groaned, "Great, and I thought being on a beach was sandy enough."

"Rudi?"

"Son?"

Big-Head turned saw Mrs. and Mr. Schaefer behind him. "Uh, you must be mistaken," he said. "I look nothing like your son, which I don't know even looks like."

"No," said his father. "We saw you."

Big-Head's heart stopped. "Y-You did?"

"It all makes sense," exclaimed his mother, tears running down her face. "The mood swings, the lack of sleep, the secretive attitude...you're Big-Head! You hurt all those people!"

"Mom, I..."

"It's too late, son," his father said. "I've already called the police! They'll be here any minute!"

"Dad...I'm your son!"

"I have no son!"

Big-Head trembled, then he got angry. "No. No, you're not real." He pulled out a pair of machine guns. "My parents are asleep right now. You're not them."

"How could you say that," "Rudi's parents" exclaimed, their voices becoming more distorted. "You're breaking our hearts!"

Big-Head's response was to shoot them both dead. But he didn't say any witty comeback. Instead, he dropped the guns and took off the Mask. "Mom...Dad..."

What are you complaining about? They weren't real!

"Shut up."

Sandboy tried to grab one of Ladybug's earrings, but Ladybug lost grip on the roof and fell down. Chat Noir gasped and grabbed her out of mid-air before she could hit the ground; he jumped to the ground, still holding Ladybug bridal-style before setting her down. Suddenly, sand sprinkled on his head. "The Sandboy just checked in! Now nightmares can begin!"

Chat Noir held his staff and stood in front of Ladybug. "Stay behind me, M'Lady!"

"You still have your powers," Ladybug pointed out.

"Losing mine is not what I'm afraid of."

"Then...what is?"

"Oh, Chat Noir..." Stepping out of the shadows was a clone of Ladybug, but her face wore an evil smirk. "Bad kitty! I'll never love you! I've always wanted to get rid of you!"

The real Ladybug gave Chat Noir a look that said, "Seriously?" "You have weird dreams too."

Chat Noir scratched the back of his head and said, "My bad."

The evil Ladybug stepped forward. "I am gonna destroy you. LUCKY CHARM!" She twirled her yo-yo into the air and its magic created a huge broadsword which she used to attack Chat Noir, but he blocked it with his staff.

"Stay still, you mangy cat! Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Come on." Suddenly, a jet of fire shot out of nowhere, burning her to a crisp. Ladybug watched in horror as her double screamed in agony before collapsing to the ground.

Walter stepped forward, crushing the evil Ladybug's head under his foot. Chat Noir and the real Ladybug grimaced. Sandboy stomped forward. "The Sandboy just checked in, now nightmares can begin!" He threw sand into Walter's eyes, laughing maniacally.

Ladybug gasped. "Oh, man. I really don't want to know what kind of nightmares he of all people has."

But nothing happened. I take it back; the only thing that happened was Walter letting out a sneeze. Sandboy balked. "Th-That's impossible!" He threw more sand at Walter, who just brushed it off like it was nothing. "You should be seeing a nightmare right now! You should be afraid," Sandboy shouted, his attacks becoming more and more erratic. "WHY AREN'T YOU SCARED?!"

Walter's response was a blast from the flamethrower. Sandboy screamed and then stopped as his body turned to glass. Walter walked over to the giant glass sculpture and gave it a light tap. That tipped Sandboy over and shattered, releasing the akuma. It didn't fly far before he crushed it under his foot.

"Well, that worked," said Ladybug. "But how do we undo all this?" She glanced at her evil copy's sword. Well, she had to give it a try. "MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!" She tossed the sword up into the air and all the damage was undone and all the nightmares disappeared. She even felt stronger now. "I got my powers back!" She caught the crushed akuma with her yo-yo. "No more evil-doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize!" But when she purified and released it, all that came out were the butterfly's crushed remains.

And as for Sandboy, he went back to his normal self. It looked like he had decided to stay up late, judging by his pajamas. Ladybug approached and knelt down before him. "What happened, little boy?"

The boy sniffed and hugged her close. "Oh, Ladybug. I watched a movie on TV. It was kinda scary. And then I went to bed and had a really bad nightmare. I woke up and there was a black butterfly in my room a-and a weird man spoke right in my face."

Ladybug frowned. "Hawk Moth. He fed off the negative emotion of fear."

Chat Noir wagged his finger. "That's what happens when you let kids watch anything they want on TV. Can I leave you to take this young man back to his parents?"

"No problem. Right, big boy?"

The boy held Ladybug close. "Yay! Awesome, Ladybug!"

But before she left, she had one question to ask, "Chat Noir? You don't really think I'm as evil as your nightmare, do you?"

"'Course I don't. You're the lady of my dreams."

Master Fu wanted to see Marinette, Tikki, Plagg and Wayzz immediately after the Sandboy incident was over. To say he was not happy would be an understatement. They explained the plan they cooked up and how they proceeded with it behind his back.

Wayzz bowed his head in shame. "It's all my fault, Master."

"No, it's mine," said Marinette.

Tikki flew up to her, saying, "No, Marinette, it's my fault."

"Yeah. That's true. It's their faults." Master Fu gave Plagg the stink eye when he said that.

"You trusted me and I failed. I'm sorry I disappointed you."

Marinette patted Tikki's head. "Aw, of course not, Tikki. I know you mean it well. I will always trust you, you know?" She gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you, Marinette."

Master Fu smiled. "Next time, come and talk to me."

Plagg gagged at Marinette and Tikki's mushiness and flew away.

"What truly disturbs me is the fact that Big-Head was able to hijack the tracking spell," said Master Fu.

"How was that even possible?" asked Marinette.

"Do not forget, it was Miraculous magic combined with mischief magic that allowed Loki to create his Mask. The kwami's magic resonated with the Mask's, allowing Big-Head to take a peek into the Miracle Box."

"Does this mean he knows where to find us?"

"Thankfully, we were able to end the spell before either he or Hawk Moth could find us," said Wayzz.

"Still, if he got his hands on the Miraculous..." said Marinette, genuinely worried.

"We won't let that happen," said Master Fu. "We can't let that happen."

Plagg returned to Adrien's room and gave him a snuggle. "Thank you, Adrien."

Adrien was briefly taken aback. "Is something wrong?"

"No… Just… Thanks for letting me do whatever I want. Almost all the time."

Adrien hugged the little kwami. "I know what it's like to have your freedom restricted, Plagg. You don't need to pretend to be a sock."

"You're the best Cat Noir I've ever had, Adrien. But, let's not get too cheesy about it now, huh?"

Adrien just laughed.

Aw, come on, please let me out! I promise I'll behave!

Rudi ignored the Mask and turned up the volume on his television. He had no idea why the Mask suddenly wanted to make him go after the kwamis or whatever they were called, but he knew he almost crossed the line. And after encountering that nightmare, he had to admit it, he was afraid.

But getting caught by his parents didn't scare him. It was how casually he killed those nightmares. Would he do the same to his real parents if they really did find out? He didn't want to imagine that. He decided to put the Mask in time out for the time being.

Gabriel said to Nooroo, "I hope you liked your friends' birthday gift, Nooroo. Now I know that they're close and that there are many of them. If I manage to find them, I'll take their Miraculous. Then I'll have unlimited powers at my disposal. If I have to fight a whole army of superheroes, I'll do it. Whatever it takes, Nooroo. And Ladybug and Chat Noir and Big Headwon't be able to stop me ever again."
