Thanks to gaara king of the sand for the help.

"Molly!" Bonnie called as she noticed her. "My gosh, it's been forever."

"Mike and Bonnie? What the hell are you two doing here?" Molly asked.

"Lilly wanted everyone out and searching for Clem. We managed to slip away from the others." Bonnie said. "Maybe you can convince them to untie us. Vince and Shel wouldn't vouch for us. But you know we're not a threat."

"Like hell you're not." Molly scoffed.

"What?" Mike said.

"Molly, you know us. You know we're not a threat." Bonnie said.

"Bonnie, you were a threat from the first day you brought my girl to Carver." Molly replied.

"I- I didn't know what was going on…" Bonnie said.

"Which is exactly why we can't trust you. No one is ever gonna forgive you for the shit you did." Molly said.

"S-So you're just gonna hold us hostage?" Bonnie stammered.

"I'll talk to the others and we'll figure something out. Don't try anything stupid." Molly said.

Molly sighed as she left the vehicle. They needed to figure out what to do with these two.

"Well? Did they seem familiar?" Tripp asked.

"Very. And we need to talk about what to do with them." Molly said.

"Yeah... your friends over there don't seem to happy about them being here. Seems they know them too." Tripp said.

"Yeah... we were in a group together..." Molly said. "We should talk to the others."

Tripp nodded.

They walked over to Vince and Shel who were both looking anxious.

"Molly! What's going on? Who was in the van? Do we know them?" Clementine asked.

Molly looked to the child. "Yeah, kiddo... we know them?"

"Really?" Clementine asked. "Who is it?"

Molly frowned and knelt to her level. "Mike and Bonnie are here."

The child froze upon hearing that. "Wh-Why are they here?"

"That's what we gotta figure out, kiddo." Molly replied.

Clementine felt anxiety eating at her. "Are- Are they gonna take me to Lilly?"

"No Clem. I'm not gonna let that happen. No one here is gonna let that happen." Molly reassured the young girl.

That didn't help to ease Clementine's worry too much.

"We're gonna be okay, Clem."

"O-Okay..." Clementine muttered.

Molly straightened up and proceeded to head over to Vince and Shel.

"What the hell are they doing here?" Becca inquired.

"Calm down, Becca." Shel said.

"We can't trust them. They'll just... find a way to screw us over..." Becca replied.

"Hey," Vince said as he noticed Molly.

"Molly, you're back." Shel sighed in relief.

"Yeah..." Molly said.

"I take it you saw our two... guest...?" Vince asked.

"Yeah? What are we gonna do about this?" Molly asked.

"That's what we need to figure out." Shel sighed.

"We can't let them stick around." Becca said.

"I understand why you're saying this...but maybe we need to get more information..." Shel said.

"I agree... I just... I don't know how honest they'll be with us." Molly said.

"Maybe it won't be hard to get information out of them… Or at least Bonnie." Shel said. "They were group members to us... friends. Shouldn't that give them more reason to be honest?"

"We were friends in the past. Things are different now." Vince said. "They... They proved that we couldn't trust them."

"Well regardless, I think we should question them. They have to know something about The New Frontier and what Lilly is planning. And I'd like to know if anymore of their people are close by." Tripp said.

"Alright we'll just have to be careful." Shel said.

"Yeah... Alright..." Tripp said.

"What should I do?" Clementine suddenly asked.

"Huh?" Molly looked to the child.

"What should I do? Should I help interrogate them?" Clementine asked.

"Nah, its okay. We can handle it, Clem. Why don't you go play with your friends?" Molly said.

"...Are you sure?" Clementine asked.

"I'm sure, kiddo." Molly replied.

"N-Nothing bad is gonna happen, ri-right?" Clementine questioned her guardian, looking worried.

"They're not gonna do anything. It'd be stupid of them to try. It'll be okay, Clem." Molly said. "Go on and play with your friends."

"...Okay, Molly." Clementine said.

"That's my girl." Molly said.

As the young girl hesitantly made her way over to the other kids, Shel looked to Becca and said, "You should go ahead too, Becca."

Becca rose a brow at her sister, "What?"

"You should—"

Becca cut the woman off. "Why? I'm not a little kid. I want to listen in."

"I just... don't think it's necessary. I'll fill you in on whatever happens. You know that." Shel said.

"Then you might as well just let me hear. You won't have to fill me in on anything that way." Becca said.

"Becca..." Shel sighed.

"Hey, Becca...Why don't you keep Clem some company. Seeing them again probably brought up bad memories for her." Molly said. "Please…"

"I guess..." Becca sighed. "Fine."

Once Becca had walked off, Molly turned to the others. "Alright... let's see what they have to say."

The others nodded.

Clementine felt sick to her stomach. Mike and Bonnie were two of the last people she ever wanted to see. She wondered why they were here. What did they want? Were they here to try and take her to Lilly?

"Are you okay, Clem?" Sarah asked the younger girl.

"Huh?" Clementine was pulled out of her thoughts.

"Are you okay?" Sarah repeated.

"I don't know…" Clementine replied honestly.

"Are you worried about them being here?" Becca asked.

"About Mike and Bonnie?" Clementine muttered.

"Yeah..." Becca nodded.

"I don't know... I didn't see them. But I know they're here...and... it makes... my stomach feel sick..." Clementine said.

"We can't trust them. If the adults trust them their idiots." Becca said.

"Why can't we trust them?" Sarah spoke up.

"Because they're traitors." Becca said. "Traitors don't deserve trust."

"I don't think I could ever trust them again anyway." Clementine said. She had a hard time trusting people as it was. She just wondered how things would go…

Mike and Bonnie found themselves being pulled from the vehicle but not released from their restraints.

"You're really gonna keep us tied up?" Mike asked.

"Yes, we are." Molly replied.

"Why? We're not gonna do anything..." Mike questioned.

"We'd like to be certain that you can't." Was Molly's response.

"You know us. You know we wouldn't do anything to hurt you guys." Bonnie said.

"Yet, you went with along with a plan to attack Prescott, knowing Clementine was there." Vince pointed out.

"We… We didn't think they were gonna destroy the place. They were only looking for Clem and Kenny." Bonnie said.

"And knowing that, you went along with them?" Shel asked.

"We didn't, we managed to get away during the attack, we… we didn't have anything to do with that." Bonnie said.

"I find that hard to believe." Vince said.

"Me too. You didn't want to take the blame when Carver's people attacked us at the ski lodge either." Molly said.

"Th-That wasn't supposed to happen, Molly. I swear."

"Seems like a lot of bad things happen when you're around." Molly said.

"I… I don't mean to cause any trouble. I… I'm just trying to make sure everyone's safe." Bonnie said.

"Except my girl?" Molly huffed. "You don't give a damn about her safety."

"I- I do…" Bonnie stammered.

"Bullshit. You tried to convince yourself that she was dead. You took her to a pedophile and treated her like shit." Shel snapped.

"Hold on… I- I wasn't trying to do anything to hurt her! I didn't know what was going on!" Bonnie said.

"But she was hurt because of you." Vince said.

"It- It wasn't my fault… It was…It was all a mistake…" Bonnie stammered.

"And we can't risk you making another mistake like that." Molly said.

"That's not fair. I'm sure she was never trying to harm that child." Mike said. "What happened to Clem was fucked, but it's no one's fault but Carver's."

Molly shook her head in disagreement.

"We need to ask you two a few questions." Tripp said.

"Okay then… But why not untie us first?" Mike said.

"We already said, that's not happening." Molly said. "So just answer our questions."

"…Fine…" Bonnie said.

"Good…" Molly said.

"So, where is that group of yours?" Tripp finally spoke up, after leaving most of the questioning to them.

"We already told you, before you tied us up. We don't know. We snuck away from them." Mike said.

"Why is that?" Vince asked.

"Because their insane." Mike said.

"How long did it take for you to realize that?" Molly scoffed.

"So what's their plan now? The New Frontier." Tripp asked.

"They... They want to find Clem. That's Lilly's main goal." Bonnie said.

"She's been so focused on Clementine that she's neglecting defenses and other stuff." Mike said.

"Is that right?" Tripp hummed.

"Yes." Bonnie said.

"And if she finds Clem, then what?" Molly inquired.

"She wants to turn her into a soldier. She wants Clem to learn to fight for her." Mike said.

"Well that's not happening." Molly said.

"I... Maybe if we just brought Clem to her... all the violence would stop." Bonnie said.

Everyone was shocked to hear those word.

"What?" Molly asked.

"I'm just... thinking." Bonnie said.

"You're willing to hand my girl over?" Molly hissed.

"I... I just... maybe Clem could talk to her or something." Bonnie said.

Molly shot her a glare. "So, this is just a repeat of the Carver shit! You want to take my girl to a psychopath!

"Lilly... she wouldn't hurt her. I know she wouldn't." Bonnie said.

"You don't know anything!" Molly said. "This is why we can't trust your ass!"

"What happened to Luke? Why isn't he with you?" Shel asked.

"Lilly recruited some folks from the Delta to come with her to check out another group, which happened to be The New Frontier. But she didn't have everyone go. She didn't want The New Frontier knowing about the Delta." Mike explained.

"Why not?" Tripp asked.

"She never really said. We figured she was just being cautious." Mike answered.

"And none of that was a red flag to you?" Vince asked.

"Not at the time. The Delta was peaceful. And she said she wanted to help another group out. Told us things would be peaceful there too." Mike said.

"How did you find that group anyway?" Molly asked.

"We... We headed back to Parkers Run and then went to the town across the river to try to find supplies. We were there for a little while, but supplies ran low and we ended up moving on... Some people helped us out during a walker attack, and we grouped up with them." Mike said.

"And where exactly is this group?" Tripp asked.

"If we tell you… what will you do?" Bonnie asked back.

"That doesn't matter…. Just tell us." Molly said.

Mike and Bonnie exchanged looks.

"Well?" Tripp urged them to speak.

"The Delta… They're stationed on an island…" Mike said.

"Where?" Molly asked.

"They have more than one base…" Bonnie said.

"Really?" Tripp asked.

"Yeah… They have a spot on Craney Island…" Mike said. "And they have an even larger camp set up, in Accomack County. Close towards the Eastern Shore. They established a military base over there."

"Alright then…" Tripp said.

"That's all I can say… I don't know what else to tell you." Mike sid.

"How secure are these camps?" Molly asked.

"Really secure… They have a ton of guards around." Mike said.

"The New Frontier moves camps so much; they don't really have a main one." Bonnie added.

"Bonnie and I managed to slip away while no one was paying attention." Mike said.

"And we have no intentions on going back." Bonnie said.

"You're not worried that she'll find you?" Shel asked.

"She's not focused on that. She been so focused on getting to Richmond, that she's not really taking headcounts. They plan to attack the place any day now..." Mike said.

"Fuck…" Vince muttered.

"We'll be ready…." Shel said. "We have to be."

"Alright…" Molly said as she stood. "Stay put… Don't try anything…"

"We're not going anywhere…" Mike said.

"But you could un-tie us." Bonnie said.

"Not happening." Molly said, then stood and walked off with the others follow. They headed over to the other adults to talk.

"So what the hell are we gonna do about them?" Kenny asked.

"Did they say anything…?" Christa asked.

"They told us where the Delta is stationed. Well the gist of it. Apparently, they have more than one camp and they're well-armed." Molly said.

"Well that's just fucking great." Kenny huffed.

"We can't let them stay..." Vince said.

"We can't let them leave either." Tripp said.

"So what then? What do we do?" Kenny asked.

"There's only one thing we can do." Conrad said.

"What?" Tripp asked him.

"We have to deal with them…" Conrad said. "We can't let them leave, and we can't keep them here… They're people didn't show Francine any mercy, why should I show them any?"

"I know you how you feel, man. But—"

Conrad cut Tripp off. "But nothing."

"They know these people." Tripp pointed out.

"I don't give a damn. Their people killed Francine. They destroyed Prescott. We can't keep them around." Conrad said.

Molly spoke, "We're gonna deal with them."

"I...I don't know... that seems very extreme..." Sarita said.

"After all the things they've done. I can't see any other way." Molly said. "We can't risk them running back to their group or trying to kill us in our sleep."

"I know what you're saying…. But… But this isn't right… They're people… We can't just kill them…" Sarita said.

"Do you think they would let one of us go if it had been their group who captured us?" Molly asked.

"I… don't know…" Sarita said.

"Well, I know for a fact they didn't let Clementine and I go. And they knew her. The kid literally had a panic attack when she saw them. They didn't do anything to try to help us. That was all David and Ava." Javier said.

"We should let the girls know what's going on… They deserve to know…" Shel said.

"Yeah. I'll talk to them." Molly said.

"I'll go too." Shel said.

Molly nodded. She wondered how they would take this.

It wasn't long before Molly and Shel approached the girls. "Girls... we wanted to talk to you..."

"About…?" Becca asked.

"About… Mike and Bonnie?" Molly said.

"We don't want to talk about them." Becca said.

"I know… But… we have to…" Molly replied.

"Why?" Clementine asked nervously. "What's going to happen?"

"We... we don't have many options here, girls... we have to do what's best for all of us. To keep us safe." Molly said.

"...You mean you're gonna kill them?" Clementine asked.

"I..." Molly trailed off with a frown.

"You are, aren't you?" Clementine asked.

"Well?" Becca asked.

"We... We are..." Molly replied.

"Good riddance." Becca scoffed.

"Becca, don't talk like that..." Shel sighed.

"Why not? They haven't given us any reason to trust them. We don't need them around." Becca said.

"They were...people we cared about..." Shel said.

"Sometimes you have to do the hard thing. A lot of people we cared about are gone." Becca shrugged.

"Still... you shouldn't say things like that... Death is never a good thing." Shel said.

"I guess." Becca said.

"D-Do you have to do this?" Sarah stammered.

"Yeah... We do..." Molly said.

"Where...Where's Luke...?" Clementine asked.

"He's at the Delta, wherever that is." Molly replied.

"Oh..." Clementine frowned. "Are you gonna kill him too if you see him?"

"I don't know, kiddo." Molly replied.

"Bu-But why? They're not bad people." Sarah asked.

"They're not good people either. We have to make sure they can't do anything to hurt anyone." Molly said.

"But why would they want to hurt us?" Sarah asked.

"Because they're with a bad group…" Molly said. "We can't trust them."

Sarah frowned at that. "I… It's not right…"

"I'm sorry, Sarah. But everything's not about right and wrong… Not anymore." Molly replied to the teen.

Sarah didn't respond to that. The teen girl simply lowered her head.

"Do what you have to." Becca said.

Molly looked to her.

"Just do it… I understand." Becca said.

Molly nodded slowly. "Clem?"

Clementine looked away. "I don't have anything to say… I don't want to talk about them."

"Alright, kiddo… You don't have to." Molly said. "Do you girls want to talk to them before—"

All three girls quickly shook their heads.

"Okay… I'm sorry, girls." Shel said.

There was no response from the three. Molly stood with a sigh. Shel followed suit.

They both hated this, but they knew it had to be done.

After speaking with the girls, Molly headed back over to the others who seemed conflicted with their choice.

"So who's gonna do this?" Tripp asked.

Shel and Vince remained quiet.

Tripp noticed this and said, "I can do it if—"

"I'll do it…" Molly spoke up with a sigh.

"Are you sure?" Tripp asked.

"…I'm sure." Molly said.

"Did you tell them?" Vince asked.

Molly nodded. "We did."

"How did they… take it?" Vince asked.

"Like I expected them too. They're upset." Molly said, "But they understand…"

"I hope so… I can't believe it's… come to this…" Shel said.

"Yeah… Me either… It's fucked up…" Vince said.

"It is…" Molly agreed with a frowned. "…I'm gonna go get this over with…"

"Okay…" Shel sighed.

Tripp frowned and spoke, "Are you sure about this, Molly… I know you knew them, and—"

Molly stopped him. "I said I got it…"

"Alright…" Tripp backed off.

"Don't take too long." Conrad said.

Molly ignored him. Tripp offered her a gun which she hesitantly accepted before walking over to their two prisoners.

"Molly...what's going on? We told you what you wanted. Can't you untie us now?" Mike said.

Molly shook her head. "I can't do that."

"What?" Bonnie asked.

"What are you doing?" Mike asked as he noticed the weapon in her hand.

"I'm sorry." Molly muttered as she raised the gun.

"Whoa! Molly wait-! Just... Just let us go! Please!" Mike stammered.

"I can't let you go…" Molly said. "And we can't keep you here either.

"B-But we told you everything we could about the group! What more do you need from us?" Bonnie asked.

"Nothing… You just can't be trusted." Molly replied.

"Molly please, don't do this!" Bonnie said.

Molly ignored the words. And before long, two gunshot filled the air.

Molly frowned lowering the gun. She made her way over to Tripp who was waiting by a vehicle while the others had already gathered in the other vehicles.

"You okay?" Tripp asked.

Molly handed the gun back and simply said, "Let's go."

It was late when they got back to Richmond.

Jesus exited the vehicle as several of Richmond's people aimed weapons in their direction.

"It's alright! They're with me!" Jesus said.

Upon hearing that, guns were lowered, and they found themselves ushered forward. They were soon out of their vehicles and checked for bites and weapons.

After the group was checked and cleared, they were allowed to go on their way.

Jesus showed them around town for a bit and then escorted them to a building.

It was there that the group was shown where they could sleep. As they started to settle in for the night, Molly decide to speak with Clementine who seemed withdrawn.

"Are you okay, kiddo?" Molly asked the girl.

Clementine nodded. "Yes… Why wouldn't I be?"

"I know it's been a long day." Molly said.

"Yeah… It has been… A lot has happened… A lot of…crappy things…" Clementine said.

"Yeah, but now that we're here… Hopefully we can relax for a bit." Molly replied.

Clementine shook her head. "That's not gonna happen."

"Why do you say that?" Molly asked.

"Because Lilly's still out there. And she has people looking for me. They'll just destroy this place next." Clementine replied.

"That's not true, Clem." Molly said.

"Yes, it is." Clementine said. "I know they'll come here. And they'll destroy this place if we don't do something first…"

"We're not gonna let that happen. We're gonna fight back…" Molly said to her.

"And… what if we lose?" Clementine asked.

"We won't." Molly said.

"How do you know?"

"Because we're gonna be smarter than them. We'll have a plan and be ready." Molly replied.

"Okay…"

"Why don't you try to get some rest, kiddo." Molly suggested.

Clementine nodded. "I'll try… But I might not be able to."

"Well, trying is a good idea." Molly said.

"You should try to rest too." Clementine told her.

"I will, Clem."

"Okay, goodnight, Molly."

"Sweet dreams, kid." Molly said.

Upon their return to their own camp, Lilly immediately notice something wasn't right. Mike and Bonnie were missing.

The woman ordered for the others to find the two, but their searches came up empty.

The woman decided the next day she would send a group out to find them, wondering if they had taken off by choice, or if they had gotten lost during the attack on Prescott.

She hoped it was the latter, otherwise, there would have to be consequences. She couldn't have people leaving or turning on her. Not at a time like this.

"Alright, so this group, where are they staying?" Omid asked.

"Well… that's what we need to figure out…" Jesus said. "All I know is they travel by boat, and we have a general location of where they might be. Nothing exact though."

"Exact location would be more help." Christa said.

"Hey, I'm doing my best here." Jesus shrugged.

"So if we find this little base of theirs', then what?" Kenny asked.

"We stage and attack and frame the New Frontier. If they're working together and find out the others betrayed them, that'll start a fight between them." Ava said.

"That could work. But we don't want to risk any of us getting killed in an attack." Molly said.

"We won't. I say we ruin one of their boats. And let them retaliate against the New Frontier." Jesus said.

"That could actually work." David said.

"Yeah. It could. Knowing The New Frontier, they'll definitely fight back. It could start a war between them. And they'd be out of our hair. This could work in our favor." Ava said.

"But we have to find where this camp of theirs is first…" Molly said.

"Exactly." Jesus said.

"Looks like we got some scouting to do." Molly said.

The others nodded in agreement.

It had taken a few days, but Mike and Bonnie were both found, lifeless in the woods. Bullet holes in their heads.

Lilly was seething when she found out. And she felt sick, knowing that it had to be anyone who escaped from Prescott.

She needed to deal with them before they got the chance to do anything to her and the others. She just needed to track them down first.

As the days went on the group continued to discuss their plan. Jesus decided they should head out and try to find the Delta's camp, based off the information they had gotten from Mike and Bonnie. Vince and Shel offered to tag along as usual and Kenny and Ava came along as well.

As the group was loading into a vehicle Clementine hesitantly approached her guardian. "Do you have to go?" Clementine asked with a frown.

"Yeah, kiddo. This is important. I'll be back before you know it." Molly said.

"I guess you don't want me to come..." Clementine said.

"I want you to stay here, where it's safe. Okay, Clem." Molly said.

"...Okay... Please be lucky." Clementine said to her.

"I will."

Clementine stood by the gate, anxiously watching as her guardian climbed into a vehicle and took off.

She hoped they would stay safe.

"Your girl doing okay?" Jesus asked Molly as they started to drive away from Richmond.

"Yeah... She's doing fine." Molly said.

"I know this is all a lot for her to handle. She has to be stressed out, knowing these people are after her." Ava said.

"She is. But she's strong. She puts on a brave face a lot, but she's been through hell..." Molly said.

"Yeah. I can tell. Poor kid." Jesus said.

"She's tough. No matter what happens. She'll be okay." Molly said.

"Tough doesn't mean invincible." Jesus pointed out.

"I know that. And I know my girl. Like I said she'll be okay." Molly replied.

"I sure hope so." Jesus said.

Molly stayed silent. Clementine was going to be okay. She knew her better than anyone.

Clementine had spent most of the day waiting for her guardian to return. She absently played some board games with the other kids but then grew bored rather quickly.

As it got later into the day the child went to sit outside for a while, watching the sky as it began to darken. She didn't know how long she was out there, but she was just hoping Molly would be back soon.

"Clem, come on. Let's get inside..." Christa's voice reached the child's ears after a moment.

"I don't want to..." Clementine mumbled.

"Why not, sweetie?" Christa asked.

"I just want to stay out for a while longer." Clementine said.

"Come on, sweetie. You shouldn't be out here alone." Christa tried to take her arm, but the child winced in pain. "Are you okay?

Clementine quickly nodded. "I'm fine. D-Don't..."

"Let me see your arm." Christa said.

"I said it's fine." The child tugged her sleeve down.

"Clem, show me." Christa ordered.

The child shook her head.

"Clementine." Christa spoke in a stern tone.

That was all it took. Hesitantly the child allowed Christa to roll up her sleeve.

Christa drew in a sharp breath as she noticed several old marks on the child's arm. "Oh shit... Have you been cutting yourself?"

The child simply lowered her head at the question.

"Alright. We're just scouting. Remember that." Ava said to the group.

"Yeah, we know…" Shel said.

"So we need to lay low. And be smart about what we do." Jesus added.

"Right." Ava said.

"I don't see why we can't just take those assholes out immediately." Kenny said.

"Because it's too risky." Jesus said. "I just said we need to be smart about this."

"The smart thing would be to take them out now. That way we know they won't come after us." Kenny said.

"That's not part of the plan. In fact, it would ruin the plan." Jesus said. "We want them to turn on the New Frontier. Killing them wouldn't help us.

"Fine. I guess that makes sense." Kenny said.

"We have to be careful. Everyone keep your guards up." Molly said.

The others nodded and they continued on driving towards the Delta's first base.

"How long have you been doing this?" Christa asked with concern as she looked at the child's arm.

"I don't know… For a little while…" Clementine shrugged.

"Why- Why would you cut yourself, Clem?" Christa asked.

"Because… I make everything bad." Clementine replied.

"What are you talking about?" Christa asked.

"I make everything bad… Bad stuff always happens when I'm around and… and I deserved to be punished." Clementine replied.

"No, no you don't. Why would you think that?" Christa said.

"Because it's true… I cause a lot of bad things to happen. Like the attack on Prescott. That was my fault." Clementine said back.

"No, Clem. No it wasn't." Christa said. "Does… Does Molly know you've been hurting yourself?"

"No…" Clementine said. "Please don't tell her. I don't want her to get mad at me."

"Clem, you can't be doing this… It's not okay…" Christa told the child.

"It makes me feel better…" Clementine said.

"Did anyone know about this?" Christa asked the girl.

"No… I don't let anyone know…" Clementine replied. "Please don't tell…"

"Look at me… Promise me that you're not going to do this anymore…" Christa said.

Clementine quickly shook head, "I- I can't promise… Promises get broken… They're like lies…"

"Well… then swear to me…" Christa said.

Clementine bit her lip. "I can't do that either… Because I might do it again…"

"Swear that you'll try not to… You can't hurt yourself like this." Christa said.

Clementine frowned but muttered, "I… Okay… I'll try not to…"

"Good…" Christa sighed.

"You're not gonna tell, right?"

"No, Clem… I won't say anything…" Christa reassured the girl, but she had full plans to speak to Molly about this once the other woman got back. "Come on, let's get inside."

"Okay…"

"There it is…" Jesus said as he caught sight of a large ship, stopped by a pier. Several people were patrolling around, highly armed.

"They weren't kidding about it being highly guarded." Kenny said.

"Yeah. Their defenses are definitely on par." Vince said.

"So what do we do now?" Shel asked.

"We scope the place out… Find an easy way to their ships…" Jesus said. "We're not carrying out the full plan today, just gathering information."

"Yeah… So, everyone lay low." Molly said. "The last thing we need is to be spotted."

The others agreed. The began quietly looking around. Searching for any openings, taking in the guards' routines. Every little thing mattered. They took every detail in.

After several hours and a long time of scouting, Molly and the others finally returned back to town.

When they returned to the building where the others were, most of the group was in bed. However, Molly was quickly approached by a concerned looking Christa. "We need to talk."

"What is it now?" Molly asked, expecting the woman to try to start an argument.

"It's about Clementine." Christa said.

"I'm sure. What is it?" Molly asked.

Christa shot her a look and asked, "Did you know that Clementine has been cutting herself?

Molly froze at that, shocked by those words. "What?"

David couldn't ignore the clear tension between him and Kate. The tension that had been building from the moment he had reunited with her. He was confused on what was wrong. And with the kids asleep, and Javier in bed as well, he decided it was the best time to try to talk to the woman. "What's going on Kate?"

"I just don't want to talk, David." Kate replied.

"But why? We haven't seen each other in years." David said.

"Exactly. Things aren't the same as they were before." Kate said.

"Why are you acting like this?" David questioned.

"Like what?" Kate asked him.

"You keep pushing me away. What did I do wrong?" David asked back.

Kate sighed, "You didn't do anything wrong. Things are just different now."

"How?"

"They just are." Kate responded.

"Kate... just talk to me. What am I doing wrong?" David asked.

"It's not you David. It's me." Kate quickly said.

"What are you talking about?"

Kate sat in silence for a moment and then gets up to leave. "Things just aren't the same as they were five years ago." Kate said before she finally left the room.

"I've seen the marks on her arms. She's been cutting herself." Christa told Molly, looking concerned. "She told me that she's been doing it for a while."

Molly felt her heart skip a beat at the thought. "I… I had no idea. Why would she-?"

"She said she was keeping it to herself. That no one knew." Christa said.

"How long has she been doing this?" Molly said.

"She said it was a little while. I don't know exactly how long. But it's very concerning…" Christa said. "She asked me not to tell, but…You need to talk to her. She's asleep now but… you have to talk to her."

"Fuck… Yeah… Yeah I will." Molly said.

Christa nodded. "Good…"

Molly just hoped she could figure out why her girl was doing this.

The next morning when Clementine awoke, Molly immediately decided to speak with the child. "Clem, I need to talk to you."

Clementine immediately looked concerned. "I… I'm not in trouble, right?"

"No, kiddo… But I need to ask you something. I... It's important." Molly said

"Okay…"

"Have- Have you been cutting yourself?" Molly asked the girl, straight to the point.

The child was taken aback, not expecting that. "Huh?"

"Have... you been cutting yourself?" Molly repeated her question.

Clementine saw no point in lying. She knew Christa had told the woman. "…Yes…"

"Why have you been doing that, Clem?" Molly asked.

"...I don't know. I just feel really, really bad sometimes and… I want to fix it." Clementine said. "Cutting fixes it…"

"Why haven't you talk to me?" Molly said. "You know you can always talk to me. You don't have to hurt yourself."

"I don't know… I just... I just... I like to cut..." Clementine said. "It just… makes me feel better."

And there it is. Molly felt guilty, she should have known her girl was cutting herself. "Clem..."

"Yes...?"

"You can't cut yourself." Molly said.

"Why not?"

"Because it hurts. It makes you feel better for a little while, but then you still feel bad." Molly replied.

"But sometimes it feels good." Clementine said.

"How does it feel good?" Molly asked.

"It just does…" Clementine simply said.

Molly shook her head. "How long have you been cutting yourself?"

Clementine didn't respond.

"Clementine, answer me."

The child did. "I don't know… Not too long…"

"And you like doing this?" Molly asked.

"The pain makes me feel better." Clementine said.

"The pain is a distraction…" Molly said.

"Maybe…" Clementine said. "But that distraction helps me…"

"It's not good, Clem…" Molly sighed. "Can I see your arm?"

The girl pulled up the sleeve of her shirt and revealed the cuts on her arm. Molly felt sick upon seeing that.

"Oh my gosh…" Molly frowned. "No more cutting."

"But I want to..." Clementine frowned.

"No, Clem. You can't do it anymore." Molly said.

"Why can't I?" Clementine asked.

"Clem, you're not supposed to do it anymore. It's not good for you." Molly said.

"But when I feel really, really bad, if I cut the bad feeling goes away." Clementine said.

"Cutting is bad." Molly said.

"Sometimes." The child said.

"All the time." Molly said. "No cutting yourself. You cannot cut yourself."

"I need to." Clementine argued.

"I need you to stop doing that. That's why I'm going to be keeping you away from knives." Molly said.

The child started to protest, "But..."

However, Molly stopped her. "No buts."

Clementine frowned at that. "Why are you being mean?"

"I'm not being mean. I don't want you to hurt yourself." Molly said.

"But why?"

"Because I care about you Clem. Swear to me that you won't cut anymore."

The child was hesitant but nod. "I can't swear I won't… But…I swear I'll try not to…"

That was better than nothing. "Thank you, kiddo."

"You're welcome." Clementine said.

When Javier noticed Kate sitting alone that morning, looking lost in her thoughts he wondered if she was alright. "Did you sleep okay?"

"I guess." Kate shrugged.

"You guess?" Javier rose a brow at her vague answer.

Kate didn't respond, but Javier could tell something was off.

"Hey...what's wrong?" Javier asked.

"I... I think we need to tell David. About us." Kate said.

Javier wasn't expecting that. "Kate..."

"We have to tell him. He needs to know. Things are just so awkward. And... I want him to understand I don't feel the same way anymore." Kate said.

"Kate... I just don't know if now is the best time." Javier said.

"Then when is the best time? I can't keep biting my tongue, Javi." Kate said.

"I don't know..."

"We need to tell David what's going on. Between us. He deserves to know." Kate said.

"He'll think worse of us." Javier sighed.

"No, he won't. After all we've been through for these past years…Maybe he'll be happy for us." Kate said.

"Kate, there's no way he'll be happy for us. You're his wife. And I'm his brother." Javier said.

"Well he wasn't around. I had to move on eventually." Kate pointed out. "I can't change how I feel. If you don't want to tell David, I'll do it."

"Kate..."

"But I do want you to help me tell him." Kate told him.

"I..."

"Please, Javi..."

Javier pondered over it for a bit, then sighed and nodded. "All right. I'll help you tell him, but I'm not sure how he'll react."

"Guess we'll find out soon enough..." Kate said.

"I guess so…"

The entire day the two remained lost in their own thoughts, planning how to tell David the truth without upsetting him. Neither of them had ever thought they'd ever have to do this, it was nerve-wracking.

Finally, the two approached David to talk to him.

"David...we need to talk to you." Kate said.

"Yeah, about what?" David asked looking to the two.

"David... you and I are over..." Kate said.

Javier flinched a bit, not knowing what to say. He hadn't expected her to be so straight-forward.

"...what? Kate what are you saying?" David asked.

" I thought it might be hard to tell you, but I can't do this. I can't pretend that we belong together. Things aren't the same. I'm sorry." Kate said.

David looks down and rubs a hand over his face before looking up again. "Why are you doing this?" David asked.

"I'm sorry, David." Kate said. "I have to move on."

"Kate, I love you." David said.

Kate shook her head. "David, it's over. I can't do this… I'm sorry."

"Kate—"

"I can't- I can't do this right now. Just… Just stop." Before Javier or David could get another word out, Kate walked away.

Silence fell for a while then David looked to his brother, "Javi... you knew about this?"

"Hm?"

"That she...felt this way..." David muttered.

"She... said she had been feeling conflicted." Javier admitted.

"I just don't understand. I must've done something wrong." David said.

"No… I just think…. Time changes things for people." Javier said.

"Well... I'm not gonna let it end like this... I'll fix things... somehow..." David said.

Javier held back a sigh.

That wasn't how he had expected the conversation to go.

Days went by and Clem was no longer cutting herself. She was doing much better. The adults kept her under a more watchful eye.

Unfortunately, not all was good tension was growing between David and Kate and it was starting to become more apparent.

The group continued planning their attack on the Delta. They had painted the symbol of the New Frontier onto a vehicle as they readied to carry out their plan. They just hoped it would run smooth.

Soon enough the day came for them to carry out their plan. Jesus, Kenny, Molly, Shel, and Vince headed out ready to carry out things as the discussed.

They made their way towards the boat, knowing the plan was going to be a risky one. They just hoped it would work.

It took a good amount of time and effort but they managed to sneak some cargo from the ship, purposely drawing attention during their get away to the vehicle. The vehicle that bore the symbol of The New Frontier.

Gunshots rang in the direction of the vehicle, but they managed to drive off with their tiers flat.

Eventually they abandoned the vehicle, taking the supplies, and hid in the woods as members of the Delta looked over the vehicle and began to discuss the symbol.

Phase one of their plan had gone well. Now they just needed to go home, and hope things would play out as they hoped.

Clementine was lost in thought. It was clear to the other children. The girl kept glancing to the door and appeared to be anxious and jumpy.

"Are you okay, Clem?" Gill asked his friend, looking concerned.

"I don't know. I just have a weird feeling." Clementine admitted.

"About what?" Sarah asked.

"I'm not sure. I just feel... like something big is about to happen…" Clementine said.

"How can you tell?" Gabe asked.

"Intuition." Clementine replied.

"Something good or bad?" Becca asked the girl.

"I… can't say. I don't know for sure. Just...something big is going to happen. I can feel it." Clementine said.

"Well whatever it is… I hope it's something good…" Sarah said.

"Yeah… Me too…" Clementine said.

Upon arrived back at Richmond, Molly went to check on Clementine while Jesus informed the leaders and other guards of how their trip had gone.

As Molly and the others returned to the building where the rest of their group was Clementine beamed as her guardian returned. The child rushed forward and hugged the woman. "Molly!"

"Hey kiddo." Molly greeted back.

Kenny went over to hug Sarita while Shel offered Becca a hug.

"How did things go?" Randy asked.

"Just as we planned." Ava said.

"Now what?" Christa asked.

"Now we wait." Molly said.

Lilly huffed as she paced back and forth wondering where Clementine and Kenny could be at. It had been days and still no sign of any survivors from the Prescott attack. She wanted answers but she hadn't been getting any. She wanted to find them.

A sudden sound of gunshot grabbed her attention. The woman flinched at the noise. What the hell was going on?

She soon got her answer as a frantic voice came through on the radio. "We're under attack!"

Things had been quiet for days. Relief flooded over the group as they settled in. Feeling they might be able to finally relax. They could make this place a new home.

They finally felt at ease.

They still made sure to keep their guards up, knowing they weren't completely safe yet.

However, they were hopeful that their plan had worked. And that everything would be okay.

After losing several men on both side during the attack Lilly was angry.

After the attack, people became worried, some questioning her leadership. Angrily she ordered anyone who didn't support her to step forward. As they did, she ordered each of them to be executed.

She needed answers. Why would the Delta attack?

"Abel, what the hell is going on?" Lilly inquired.

"I thought you said we could trust those assholes." Abel huffed.

"What the hell are you talking about? Why did you attack without my order?" Lilly demanded.

"They attacked us first!" Abel said.

"That's not true. They're under my command they wouldn't do that." Lilly said.

"We saw the vehicle with their symbol on it." Abel said.

Lilly paused, shocked to hear that. "This… It has to be a misunderstanding."

"They destroyed one of our ships. Stole our supplies." Abel said. "Doesn't seem like a misunderstanding to me."

"…It wasn't them." Lilly said.

"Then who...?" Abel asked.

"I don't know... but we need to focus on our original plan. We need to get to Richmond." Lilly said.

"Alright... fine." Abel said. "Just… tell us what to do."

"Keep everyone on standby. And I need to speak with Luke." Lilly said.

Abel gave a nod.

"How have you been holding up kid?" Molly asked Clementine.

"I'm okay... Molly," The child replied.

"Yeah?"

"Do... do you think Lilly is dead?" Clementine asked.

Molly was quiet for a moment. "I don't know, kid. All I know is they're not gonna fuck with us."

"Swear..."

"Sorry. They're not gonna mess with us." Molly said.

"How do you know that?" Clementine asked.

"It's been quiet for a while. Hasn't it?" Molly pointed out.

"Yeah. It has." Clementine nodded.

"So we're okay. No matter what happens we're always going to be okay." Molly said.

"Yeah. Okay..."

"You believe me?" Molly asked the girl.

"Yeah." Clementine said. "I believe you."

"Good."

"You wanted to see me." Luke asked as he walked toward Lilly, looking confused.

"Yes. It's important." Lilly said.

Luke waited for her to continue

"I need your help with something." Lilly said.

"What is it?" Luke asked.

"There's a little girl I'm looking for. I think you might know her." Lilly said.

"A little girl?"

"Her name is Clementine. Ring any bells?" Lilly asked.

Luke's eyes widened and he choked a bit, "Cl-Clementine?"

"Yeah."

"W-What about her?" Luke asked. He had thought the kid might have been dead. He was glad to hear she wasn't.

"She's with a group that might not have her best interest at heart. I don't want to hurt anyone. I just want to help her." Lilly said.

Luke knew what group she was talking about. "I... that group cares about her. Molly cares about her."

"Then why do they constantly put her in danger. Why do I hear so much about them causing chaos wherever they go? Why did they kill Mike and Bonnie?" Lilly inquired.

Luke paled, and asked in horror, "They what?"

"You heard me." Lilly replied.

"Mike and Bonnie are- are dead?"

Lilly nodded. "By their hands."

"Wh-What the fuck…?" Luke felt sick.

"Clementine is a child. And they're brainwashing her. We need to get her away from them." Lilly said.

Luke frowned, biting his lower lip.

"They're not fit to take care of her." Lilly said. "You care about her. Don't you?

"Of course I do."

"Then help me." Lilly said. "Help me help her."

Luke didn't respond he didn't know what to say in response to that. He wanted Clementine to be safe, but to rip her away from Molly, from the people she loved... it felt so wrong.

Luke was torn on what to do. He still felt guilty about leaving. Especially now that he knew Clementine was truly alive. There was no way he could split her up from Molly. The woman cared about her and Clementine would be broken if they ripped the child away from her.

He couldn't do that. He would never be able to forgive himself if he did. He had enough guilt to carry around. He didn't need anymore.

Clementine was safe with Molly. She was happy with Molly. Luke wouldn't ruin that.

He sighed knowing Lilly wouldn't take his decision well. He started thinking maybe it would be best to take off. With Mike and Bonnie dead he had nothing keeping him here. But he knew leaving wasn't going to be so simple. He needed to figure something out.

The days remained quiet and the group was becoming convinced that they were safe. That the plan had worked. They began to settle into a lax routine. The kids would spend their days playing while the adults took up duties around town in order to keep things in order.

Richmond was becoming the home they had lost, and they were hoping it could become a permanent thing for them.

Luke had attempted to leave undetected that night however he was quickly stopped and detained. Labelled a traitor and before long he found himself locked in a cell.

He had known leaving was a shot in the dark, but he couldn't take being with this group any longer.

He just needed out. But this group was so paranoid that anyone who so much thought about leaving would be treated as a criminal. He didn't know what he was going to do now.

"Javi, can we talk?" Gabe asked as he approached his uncle with some hesitation.

"Of course. What's up bud?" Javier asked the boy.

"I just... need to talk in private." Gabe said.

Javier agreed, seeing no one was around he asked, "Is it about your dad?"

"No. Not about dad. It's about Clem..." Gabe admitted.

"Oh. What about her?" Javier asked.

"I… remember I told you about my… feelings… I… I was thinking about telling Clementine." Gabe said.

"Really… I don't know bud…" Javier said.

"I just… I don't know how much longer I can stay silent about it…" Gabe said.

"I just think you should be careful. But… if you really want to tell her… then okay…" Javier said. "Do what you think is best."

"I want to… but I'm just so nervous." Gabe said.

"What for?"

"What if she rejects me?" Gabe asked.

"The worse she can say is no." Javier replied.

"Yeah. That will be the worse." Gabe frowned.

"Rejection can be hard, but I can tell she cares about you. Just don't push her too much. She's been through a lot." Javier said.

"Yeah… I know…" Gabe sighed.

"Can I ask you something now, bud?" Javier asked.

Gabe nodded. "Sure."

"Why did you come to me for advice?" Javier questioned.

"I just... thought you'd be the best one to go to." Gabe shrugged.

"Why's that?" Javier asked.

"Dad's not really good with love..." Gabe said.

"I'm not an expert on it either." Javier said.

"Maybe. But you seemed like you know more about it than him." Gabe said. "Dad's not great with a lot of things... but... don't tell him I said that.

Javier held back a chuckle. "I won't."

Gabe suddenly sighed.

"You okay, Gabe?"

"Yeah… It's just… When I was little, Dad used to ask me what I wanted to be when I was a man. And I'd point at him. He always liked that. I thought he was such a great guy. It would always make him smile. Every time." Gabe said.

"If he asked you again right now... Would you say the same?" Javier asked.

"He hasn't asked me yet." Gabe replied. "Never be like your uncle!" He told me that all the time. "Don't be a man who relies on other people to solve your problems... Because then you're not a man at all." I used to think he was right. Not anymore, though, Javi. I can only hope I grow up to be like you. So... Here's hoping."

Javier couldn't help but smile at that. "Oh... Well, thanks, buddy! Means a lot."

"I'm sorry I never really said it before. I should have." Gabe said.

"Thanks a million." Javier said.

"You're welcome a million!" Gabe said. "You took such good care of me. I think I would always come to you for advice, if you'd let me."

"Of course. I'll always give you advice, when I can." Javier said.

"And… I know you said wait. But I want to tell her. I need her to know. I can't hold back anymore." Gabe said.

"Just… Just be careful Gabe... Like I said… she's been through a lot." Javier said.

"I will be." Gabe said. "Wish me luck."

"You got this buddy."

Gabe really hoped so.

Later that day Gabe approached Clementine when the girl seemed to be drawing alone. "Clem, do you have a minute?"

Clementine looked to him, "Sure. What's up?"

"I... I've been wanting to talk to you about something important… for a while…. But I've been keeping it to myself…" Gabe said.

"What is it?" Clementine asked.

"I… I… Don't take this the wrong way but... I have feelings for you." Gabe said.

Clementine furrowed her brows. "Feelings...?"

"I… Like you… Like… Like-Like." Gabe stammered out.

"Y-You like-like me?" Clementine froze. "I… don't know what to say to that… I- I don't know what to think…"

"You said you don't have a boyfriend…" Gabe said.

"I don't, but still… I just… don't know what to say…" Clementine mumbled.

"Maybe I could be your boyfriend…" Gabe said.

The girl flinched at the idea. "Gabe, you're… you're sweet and all, but I'm not looking for a boyfriend. I just want to be friends." Clementine said.

Gabe's face fell at her words. "…So you're rejecting me…?"

"I'm sorry…"

"Is it because of Gill?" Gabe suddenly asked.

"W-What?"

"Is it because of Gill?" Gabe repeated his question.

"Why would it be because of him?" Clementine asked back.

"Because he likes you too. It's obvious!" Gabe said.

Clementine quickly shook her head. "Gabe no. It has nothing to do with him. This is just how I feel and… I think… I need some space."

Gabe huffed at that. "…I should have known I never should have said anything to you…"

"I'm glad you did. I just… need time to—"

"Time to what? What are you glad for? You're glad I told you so you can avoid me like a freak?" Gabe inquired.

The girl was a bit startled by his harsh tone. "I wouldn't do that…"

"Bullshit. Next time I'll just keep my feelings to myself… Thanks for breaking my heart…"

Gabe turned to walk off and Clementine felt her stomach twist into knots.

She felt awful… Had she done something wrong?

After spending the day feeling conflicted with her feelings Clementine decided she wanted to talk with Gill. She recalled his mother mentioning the boy had a crush on her, but she wanted to hear his feelings from his own mouth.

"Gill, I need to ask you something..."

"What is it?" Gill asked.

"I... I remember a long while back Patricia mention you having a crush on me... Is it true?" Clementine asked him.

Gill froze for a moment, "Mom said that?"

"More than once." Clementine said.

"Geez... that's kind of embarrassing..." Gill rubbed his neck.

"So it's not true?"

"No... I..." Gill paused then sighed, "Yeah… It is..."

"R-Really?"

"Yeah… I do like you Clem. A lot. But... I know you've been through a lot too... I hope this... doesn't freak you out or anything. I still wanna be friends." Gill said.

"I just... I don't know what to say right now. I'm sorry Gill..." Clementone said.

Gill frowned feeling a bit hurt. "You don't like me back...do you?"

"...I... I don't know..." The words fell from her lips before she could stop them.

"Oh... Okay..." Gil muttered. "But… why did you ask?"

"I just... I needed to know…" Clementine said. "I know it was an awkward question. But I had to ask."

"Oh…"

"I'm sorry, Gill." Clementine muttered once more before lowering her head.

"Don't be…" Gill quietly replied. "I'm sorry."

With that the boy walked off, leaving the girl in her thoughts.

After the exchanges between the two boys who Clementine considered to be friends, the girl had mixed emotions.

Things quickly started to feel awkward. Clementine did her best to avoid both boys, feeling unsure of her own feelings.

Being around them made her anxious. For days the girl did her best to keep away from them.

But her own feelings had her confused.

She finally went to her guardian, hoping the woman would be able to help.

"Everything okay, kiddo?"

"I don't know… I've been having weird feelings." Clementine told the woman.

"Weird feelings like what?" Molly asked.

"Gabe and Gill both told me they like me... Now I feel nervous around them…" Clementine said. "But it's a different kind of nervous."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean… It's not the same nervous that I feel around naughty people… It's… It's different. It's hard to explain but it's different." Clementine said.

"Do you like being around them?" Molly asked.

Clementine nodded, "Yeah. I like hanging out and playing with them. But it feels weird now… I don't know what to feel anymore… I don't even understand why they like me…"

"You're a sweet kid, Clem. I'm sure a lot more people would like you in the future." Molly said.

Clementine frowned at those words. "That's not good… I don't want a lot of people to like me… they might try to rape me…"

"That won't happen Clem." Molly reassured the child.

"I hope not…"

"Look, just because someone has a crush on you doesn't mean you have to like them back. You can just be friends. And if they're not okay with just being friends and they can't respect how you feel, then just cut them off. It'll be their lost, not yours." Molly said.

"I guess… But Molly…"

"Yeah?"

"What if I do like someone?" Clementine shyly asked.

Molly was surprised to hear that and asked, "Do you?"

"I don't know… Maybe…" Clementine said.

"Who is it?" Molly asked.

The child blushed and looked away. "I… I don't wanna say."

Molly decided not to push her. "Well… do what your heart is telling you."

"I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Plus… I'm scared." Clementine said.

"What are you scared of?" Molly asked.

"Of having to do… sex stuff." Clementine said.

"You won't. Don't even think about that, kid." Molly said back.

"What if… I wanted to?" Clementine asked.

"You should wait until you're older and in love." Molly replied.

…Okay…"

"You're a bit young for a boyfriend, Clem. But… I think deep down, you know what's best right now. I know it sounds cliché but follow your heart." Molly said.

"Okay. I will…" Clementine said. She hoped her heart would lead her in the right direction.

Clementine knew Molly was right. She needed to follow her heart. And her heart was telling her to make sure no one was hurt.

With some hesitation she went to Gabe who was playing a board game with Mariana. "Gabe… I need to talk to you."

"Really, did you change your mind?" Gabe asked, sounding a bit too eager.

Clementine ignored his question. "Mind if I borrow him for a bit, Mari?"

"Go ahead." Mariana said, giggling a bit as Clementine to Gabe's hand causing his face to go red.

"Clem, wh-what are you doing?" Gabe asked.

"Just come on." Clementine said.

Gabe was confused but allowed the girl to tug him along.

Clementine walked over to Gill who had been talking to Sarah and Becca.

"Hey, Clem. Wanna play a game?" Sarah asked.

"Maybe later, Sarah. Gill, I need to talk to you." Clementine said.

"Uh... Okay..." Gill said, furrowing his brows as he noticed her holding Gabe's hand.

Noticing the boy's hesitation Clementine took his hand as well. She tugged both boys away from Sarah's and Becca's earshot then released their hands.

"What's this all about Clem?" Gill asked.

"It's about us." Clementine said.

"Us?" Gabe asked.

"The three of us. I want all of us to be friends. Maybe even best friends. But nothing more. I care about both of you. And I don't want anything to ruin our friendship. So I asking both of you, can we all put feelings aside and just have a good friendship. Please?" Clementine said.

There was silence for a while.

Clementine felt her nerves going wild.

"...Okay." Gill spoke first.

"If that's what you want." Gabe said.

"I don't want you to ever stop being my friend Clem. So... I'll do my best to put feelings aside." Gill said.

"Yeah... I will too." Gabe said.

Clementine felt a wave of relief wash over her. She was glad they were willing to do this for her.

She suddenly hugged both of them. "Thank you both."

As they broke the group hug Gabe spoke, "How about we ask the others if they're up for a game of Euchre?"

"Sounds good to me." Gill said.

Clementine couldn't help but smile. She was glad their friendship wasn't ruined.

"I heard you tried to take off." Lilly spoke to Luke with a hum.

Luke didn't respond.

"You want out fine. We'll let you go… But you have to do something for me first." Lilly said.

"What is it?" Luke asked.

"You know what I want. Help me find Clementine." Lilly said.

"She's safe with Molly." Luke huffed.

"But she'll be safer with us. You don't have many options Luke… I have your key to freedom. Just help me. Or you can stay locked in here." Lilly said.

"…How can I trust you?"

"I've always been a woman of my word." Was Lilly's reply.

Luke let her words sink in. She could set him free and he needed that freedom. He didn't want to turn on Clementine and the others, but he needed out of this place. "…Okay."

"Hmm?"

"I'll help you." Luke sighed.

Lilly smirked at that. "Perfect."

Days flew by and shifted into weeks; by this point the people of Richmond were all confident things would be fine.

They were feeling safe, comfortable. There hadn't been even the slightest sign of The New Frontier.

No more attacks on nearby towns. It seemed the plan had worked. They hoped the plan had worked.

Several days had passed with silence, and empty ended searches until finally Abel came to Lilly with some news. "We have a lead."

"What?"

"Apparently the folks at Richmond we taking people in. We managed to get some spies in there. And guess who we found out lives there." Abel said.

Lilly allowed him to continue.

"A little girl named Clementine."

A grin crossed her face at this news. Now they just needed to get to Richmond. They could kill two birds with one stone.

Days had turned into weeks. And as time passed and though the group figured they were safe the tension between David and Kate had only been growing. The two argued continuously and it was putting everyone on edge.

"What is the problem, Kate? You keep avoiding me." David huffed.

"You want to know why David?! I'll tell you why!" Kate snapped. "I've been avoiding you because I think I'm pregnant!"

Shock filled the room. David's eyes widened. "You what?"

"I think I'm pregnant," Kate repeated.

"But we haven't—" David stopped himself then shot her a look, "Who's baby is it?"

"…It's Javi's…" Kate said.

"Javi's?" David repeated, shocked beyond belief.

"Yes…" Kate said. "It's Javi's."

"I- I must have heard wrong..." David said.

Kate quickly shook her head. "No David, it's like this, Javi and I... we're in love with each other."

"Wh-What?"

Kate walked over to Javier and took his hand. "Tell him Javi..."

"Javi?" David shot Javier a glare.

Before Javier could say a word Kate suddenly kissed him and then urged again, "Tell him…"

Anger filled David as he spat, "What the fuck is this? JAVI! You were sleeping with MY WIFE?!"

Javier tried to explain himself, "David, I thought you were dead. We were together in that van for years, David. I mean, years! You...you shouldn't be so surprised."

"I should've known. I should've known the night Pa died. The night you weren't there. Blood is worthless to you. Just like he was to you. Just like I am to you. Well, it's time for you to finally learn what blood really means." David snapped before rushing forward and punching Javier.

Everyone around gasped.

"What do you have to say for yourself...brother?" David inquired throwing another punch.

Kate tried to intervene. "David! Stop it!"

"You're not taking my family from me!" David snapped, punching his brother repeatedly, ignoring the calls of those around him. "I'm gonna fucking kill you!"

David suddenly finds himself grabbed by the other group members.

He struggles to break free, angrily swearing.

Suddenly there's a knock at the door. Sarita shakily goes to answer to see Jesus.

"What the hell is going on here?"

"Just… Just a family feud… What's up?" Kenny asked walking over.

"There's someone here… To see the girl." Jesus said.

"What?" Kenny asked.

"Someone wants to see Clementine." Jesus said.

The others were surprised to hear that, wondering who would want to see the child.

"Who is it?" Molly inquired protectively.

"He says his name is Luke." Jesus said.

Clementine's eyes widened at that. "Luke?"

As Molly, Clementine, and some of the others got to the front of the gate, they were surprised to see Luke with some guards beside him.

"Luke! It's really you." Clementine gasped.

Luke tensed a bit as Clementine suddenly hugged him. The last thing he had expected was for the young child to hug him, to be happy to see him. He had expected yelling, anger, not for this sweet little girl to beam at him.

"Fuck… Molly… You need to get her out of here." Luke said.

"What?" Molly asked.

"Get her out of here." Luke repeated himself.

"Luke, what's going on?" Molly asked.

"No time to explain just take her and get the hell out of here! Now!"

As Luke continued to urge her to leave the suddenly found themselves held at gunpoint by two guards.

"What the fuck is happening?" Molly asked, quickly drawing her own weapon.

Clearly, they had traitors in the group…
