A/N: Hey, guys! In the previous chapter, Rayman took a boat to cross the Rivers of Murk. Meanwhile, Globox has managed to get out of prison and rescued prisoners of Teensie in a Hoodlum fortress. Will they meet again? Let's find out! The remote lessons continue to give me little time to work on the fanfic, but on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, I will be able to write the remaining chapters. I will try to finish the story at least by the end of January 2021. End premise, let's get started!

Rayman felt completely dizzy. He opened his eyes and found himself in an unknown part of the swamp, and on the water there were a few pieces of wood scattered here and there.

''Where did we go, Rayman?'' Murfy asked.

''I dunno I think we are shipwrecked.'' Rayman replied. ''Well, we gotta find Globox, I've been looking for him all day.''

The two went to look for their friend, and on the way, the limbless hero came across many groups of Podocrocks that kept stinging him with their thorns, some nettles sticking out of the holes of the nearby caves and a few annoying Hoodstormers, who kept shooting at him. After dodging the shots of a group of four of theme, he kicked one of them and made it shoot at the others, knocking one down, then fired his Magic Fist, which defeated the second one, but was surprised by an attack from behind. He then used the LockJaw, grabbing the third Hoodmonger and throwing it into the other, then slammed it to the ground and defeated them both with an electric shock.

After a few minutes, Murfy heard what appeared to be a high-pitched voice, but he thought he had imagined it. However, he heard the voice again, followed by several shots that nearly missed him, and there were two Hoodmonger Soldiers, three Hoodstormers, and four Hoodbooms. Rayman began to confront them and defeated the Hoodstormers, not before their combined attacks with the other Hoodlums hit him a few times because there was not enough space to dodge them. He managed to hit the Hoodbooms with a series of physical attacks and defeated two, but two Stumblebooms appeared to replace them.

Suddenly, Murfy heard the voice again, which was more recognizable this time. ''Rayman! Look!'' he exclaimed.

To Rayman and Murfy's surprise, Globox leapt in front of them and hit a Hoomonger Soldier with his legless feet, then repeatedly slapped the Stumblebooms, knocking them into the water. After blocking the shots and explosions of the remaining enemies by inflating, he rolled towards them and used the Heavy Metal Fist, delivering a series of punches that hit the other Hoodmonger Soldier and one of the Hoodbooms. Finally, he jumped up and crashed with his full weight on all the Hoodlums, defeating them. After getting up, he turned to his best friend and winked at him.

Rayman was shocked, but happy at the same time. Globox was safe and sound! ''Globox, you're okay!'' he shouted, jumping into his arms.

''Of course I'm okay.'' Globox said.

''What happened? Have you been captured again?'' Murfy asked.

Globox, albeit with a slight hesitation, nodded. ''Yes. Last night I heard some strange noises and then I suddenly lost consciousness. I woke up this afternoon imprisoned somewhere in the swamp, but I managed to escape by destroying the cage after breaking down the bars with some tools that some stupid Hoodlum had left in there. Then I found myself in a Hoodlum fortress nearby, and there were some Teensies in danger.'' he began.

''Really? I took a boat to look for you, but I was shipwrecked due to the strong instability of the currents, and the boat was destroyed.'' Rayman said.

''Oh. You know, a Teensie was really upset, because the Hoodlums had trapped five of his friends, and without them, I couldn't get out. I managed to get them to safety, but it wasn't easy, as the Hoodlums were on our heels.'' the amphibian said. Suddenly, he felt a sensation he had already felt when he was still imprisoned, and his eyes turned red.

A voice very different from Globox's came out of his mouth. ''Rayman?! Where does that limbless thingamajig come from?!'' he exclaimed.

Globox returned to normal soon after, but he looked very confused, looking around as if he had missed something. ''Globox, are you okay?'' Rayman asked in concern.

''I'm fine, but I have a weird feeling. One I can't explain.'' Globox replied.

Murfy also looked quite perplexed. '' In fact something is wrong. We have to find a way out of this swamp and go home. '' He said.

Suddenly, a giant Muddibog appeared from nearby holes in the ground, which had four hands where the heads should be.

''What is that thing?!'' Globox exclaimed.

''Look out, Globox! It's a Muddibog, a monster that lives underground in the swamps! It's aggressive and dangerous, but when a Muddibog is injured, it escapes underground!'' Rayman said. After dodging some rocks thrown by the huge Muddibog, he hit it in one of its head-hands with two punches and a flying kick, followed by Globox, who charged at it, hitting it with his head. The Muddibog threw other rocks, which the amphibian grabbed and threw them back at it.

The limbless hero then used the Shock Rocket Fist, but it missed the mark as the Muddibog hid underground. Now she had completely lost sight of him.

''Behind you!'' Globox warned him, managing to block his assault, but he was blocked by all the hands and was crushed. Rayman freed him by firing another missile, which hit the Muddibog, but it also hit Globox, who suffered the knockback of the explosion. The amphibian also used the Shock Rocket Fist, but the strange and painful sensation he had felt earlier returned, so that some shots from his cannon arm went in the wrong direction and nearly hit the limbless hero, who was then hit by a series of rocks and a shockwave.

Globox then fired energy balls at all of the Muddibog's head-hands, hitting it, and after dodging several stones thrown by it, he used the Vortex Fist, firing whirlpools from his palms and hitting the excrement monster(1), forcing it to retreat.

The painful sensation returned, and her voice changed again. "Maybe if I throw you off the dock, I-" Globox returned to normal, and noticing a strange silence, he said something himself. ''I mean, I think if we can find a dock, we could leave the swamp.'' he said.

Rayman was taken a little off guard by the first sentence, but he agreed. ''What? A dock? Yeah, if we find a boat, we can leave.'' he said.

As Rayman and Globox searched for a dock to take a boat and leave the swamp, Globox felt strange once again, and seemed unable to control his body, with the voice coming from his mouth too hight-pitched and too malignant to be his. The limbless hero began to worry about his best friend. ''Are you okay, Globox?'' he asked him.

''I feel weird, Rayman. I don't know how to explain it, but every now and then, it's like my body isn't under my control. I can't even recognize my own voice.'' Globox replied.

''I hope it's your imagination, Globox.'' Murfy said.

''If what you say is true, then something is wrong.'' Rayman said. ''Try not to think about it and let's go home, okay?''

''Okay.'' Globox said, but he seemed unsure. The two were attacked by three Hoodmonger Soldiers and, to their surprise, a Heckler. The limbless hero launched an attack from above with the Throttle Copter, grabbing a Hoodmonger Soldier and punching it with four punches and then used the Bodyshot, knocking it over the other two Hoodmonger Soldiers and defeating it, and Globox hit the others before using Heavy Metal Fist, with which he broke the Heckler's armor to pieces, then lifted it and slammed it to the ground four times, then threw it in the air and stomped it, causing severe damage, but was then caught and hit by a of close range shots.

Murfy, after barely avoiding a series of shots, saw that Globox had activated the Shock Rocket Fist, but again, he briefly lost control of his body, which messed up his aim, to the point that he ended up firing a missile that hit the Hoodlums, but only with the explosion, and hit Rayman directly by accident. When he came to his senses, he was so confused that he nearly got hit by the Heckler, which he then knocked out by throwing it into the water, and the Guardian of the Glade of Dreams defeated the Hoodmonger Soldiers.

''Did I miss something?'' Globox asked.

''No, you didn't miss anything.'' Rayman replied.

''Now that I think about it, for a moment I think you accidentally hit Rayman in an attempt to hit the Hoodlums.'' Murfy said.

''Are you sure you're OK, Globox?'' Rayman asked.

''I'm so confused. Sometimes, I feel weird and can't understand why.'' Globox said.

Murfy checked the area from above to see if there was a dock, and he saw one to the east. ''There is a dock nearby! Let's take that boat and leave!'' he announced.

''OK, Murfy. Let's take that boat and get out of here! '' said the limbless hero.

The three managed to reach the dock, but were attacked by two Stumblebooms and three Hoodstormers, who they managed to defeat, but when they took the boat, Globox felt again that burning sensation that made him lose control of his body, even if only briefly. ''I feel so strange. I have a feeling I'm going crazy.'' he commented, as he controlled the boat.

''Well, we'll need some rest. We'll probably be able to get to another place tomorrow, to the north. Goodnight.'' Rayman said, yawning.

''Goodnight, Rayman.'' said Globox, who fell asleep like a log, and Murfy did the same.

A/N: Rayman and Globox are reunited! It looks like something is wrong with Globox, though, but what? Why does he sometimes seem to lose control of his body? Find out in the next chapters! See you soon!

(1): Despite their name suggests, the Muddibogs are not made of mud, but of excrement, and initially, they had to attack by throwing the substance they are made of, not stones.
