A/N: One chapter. One chapter until the reveal of the Gravemind. I simply cannot wait to write their reaction, especially Esdeath's one. They and the other universes will get their scare of their life when the Gravemind will say one ironic quote. And the next chapter, Mine, Akame, Najenda and Leone will play the hardest mission ever in the Halo franchise.

Edit: And for Excalibur Shooter, you're going to shine next chapter

Disclaimer: I do not own Akame ga Kiru and Halo. They belong to their rightful and respectful owners.

As Esdeath, Seyru, Kurome and Wave got back their controller, it switches to a cutscene.

(Cutscene)

A Phantom stops and drops reinforcements, then moves off screen. Arbiter Thel 'Vadamee and Special Operations Commander Rtas 'Vadumee are meeting on the snow below as multiple Special Operations Sangheili gather around them.

Thel 'Vadamee: "In the center of this zone is a Sacred Icon critical to the Great Journey. I must find it."

'Vadumee nods.

Rtas 'Vadumee: (Clenches his fist) "We shall cut into the heart of this infestation, retrieve the Icon, and burn any Flood that stand in our way!"

"You tell 'em, Rtas!" Leone threw her hands up in the air.

"Another manly speech, and it's not even Johnson who's saying it." Bulat threw a fist in the air.

"And that's another 'boast' of morale for the Sangheili." Najenda laughed, which made everyone groan at that bad joke.

Sangheili roar and growl in agreement

Rtas 'Vadumee: (to 'Vadamee) "The parasite is not to be trifled with. I hope you know what you are doing."

'Vadamee looks to his right at the entrance ahead.

(Gameplay)

The four spots a Ghost and a new vehicle called the Spectre, which is like the Covenant version of the Warthog. Esdeath went to the Ghost while Wave, Kurome and Seyru went to the reverant, which Wave went on the driver's seat.

Objects in Mirror Are Larger Than They Appear

Rtas 'VadumeeCOM: "Forward, warriors! And fear not pain nor death. Go, Arbiter, I'll follow when our reinforcements arrive."

An Enforcer, along with some Aggressor Sentinels enter through the large door in the wall ahead.

Special Operations Sangheili: "Enforcers! To the vehicles! We'll need their heavy guns. Onward to the Sacred Icon!"

The teams pass through the tunnel and avoided the enforcers and enter the structure within, they see Flood combat forms riding Ghosts.

"When the hell does the Flood know how to operate vehicles?!" Mine's jaw dropped at this discovery.

"The Flood is in the coordinative stage, Reclaimers." Delta reminded the genius sniper.

Special Operations Sangheili: "What? The parasite controls our vehicles? No matter, they will die all the same."

The team destroy the Flood-driven vehicles as well as several Enforcers and Aggressor Sentinels. They continue and find an unmanned Warthog with dead human bodies around it.

Special Operations Sangheili: "Commander, we found a human vehicle!"

"Yeah, no kidding." Wave agreed as he avoided a Scorpion shot.

"Wave, keep moving!" Esdeath ordered her subordinate as she kept on moving.

"I'm trying!" he said.

Rtas 'VadumeeCOM: "Keep moving, I'm on my way."

In a lower area, a Scorpion tank, another Warthog and several more Ghosts all under Flood control do battle with another Enforcer, while a Flood-controlled Wraith lobs plasma mortars from across the gap. To avoid death, they all dodged the attack.

As the team leaves the structure, a human controlled Pelican with a tank attached will fly overhead, firing at several Aggressor Sentinels clustered ahead, and occasionally at the four's team as well as the Flood.

"Wave, watch out!" Kurome warned and the Spectre barely missed the shot.

"Phew, that was close." Seryu sighed. "I'll teach what an Enforcer is." She shot down its shield and destroying it.

"Nice hit." Esdeath told Seryu.

"Thanks, Miss Esdeath." She replied back.

Healthy Competition

The team eventually clear the area, after dealing with several Enforcers and an onslaught of Flood combat forms. They leave through a door on the lower level.

The four drives through a valley of Flood-controlled Wraiths, with Enforcers rising and falling into and from the pits in the center. Dodging several combat forms wielding heavy UNSC weapons, the team continue through a tunnel ahead, and the crashed Sentinel Constructor Factory comes into view.

"Jeez, now that's gonna release a lot of Flood." Tatsumi murmured.

"You are not correct, Reclaimer." Delta acknowledge him.

Dodging a large number of Forerunner constructs, the team eventually made it into the factory through a tear in its side. The team is forced to fight its way through the stricken constructor factory, under constant attack from Sentinels and Flood forms. Eventually the team make it back outside where they find an abandoned Scorpion Tank and other UNSC supplies being guarded by the Flood.

"Okay, I would never survive in that kind of situation." Mine admitted to herself as she knows that her and all the others including Esdeath won't even last a second in that kind of battlefield.

"Don't worry, Mine. We will find a way." Tatsumi assured his girlfriend, which earned him the looks from Chelsea, Leone and Esdeath.

The surviving team go through a short tunnel and enter a large valley that is filled with Flood forms and Enforcers. A Covenant Phantom swoops in to drop off a Spectre along with Rtas 'Vadumee and another Special Operations Sangheili to aid the Arbiter.

Special Operations Sangheili #2: "Forward to the Icon! The parasite's ranks swell as we draw nearer to the Library. Steel your nerves, we're not turning back."

"I never knew that the Elites were too fanatical." Mez said as she remembers protecting Bolic.

"The Elites were the first Covenant species to be integrated, Reclaimer." Delta reminded her.

The four fights through the valley and reach the entrance to the Library, where a Flood-controlled Scorpion Tank and Wraith face off with Enforcers. Flood are guarding the entrance with multiple machine gun turrets.

"I'll deal with the turret." Esdeath soon rammed her ghost into the turret.

"Jeez, at least wait up." Wave said and soon boosted the Spectre to catch up to his leader.

Rtas 'Vadumee: "Once again, brothers, victory is ours!"

Exiting the vehicles, the four rushes through a tunnel and find a Gondola on the other side.

"Well, looks like out ride is here." Kurome pointed out as the group enters the Gondala.

(Cutscene)

Thel 'Vadamee and Rtas 'Vadumee are running to the control panel of the gondola. The Arbiter is about to activate the drive switch until they hear the grinding and whirring noise of another gondola approaching the Library.

Rtas 'Vadumee: "More humans? They must be after the Icon."

Flood screeches echo through the air.

And yet again, Tatsumi's dragon eye was flaring up in fear.

"Okay, after we finish this game. I want to know why your eye is always playing up what you hear the specific screech?" Mine demanded.

Wave knew why it was playing up and he could still hear the voice in his head.

"Ah, the Tyrant casket…."

Wave shivered at that words in his head, which made Kurome worry about him.

Rtas 'Vadumee: "On your way, Arbiter." (Draws his energy sword) "I'll deal with these beasts!"

Rtas 'Vadumee takes off. 'Vadamee turns back to the control panel and activates the gondola with a soft punch.

The gondola starts moving, and Tartarus's Phantom hovers above it.

TartarusCOM: "I see that coward didn't join you. I'll do what I can to keep the Flood off your back."

The entrance, in the shape of a circle, rotates, then opens in four-quarter pieces.

Shooting Gallery

{Gameplay}

The four looks around to see four Sangheili operative with them and looks in the sky to see In Amber Clad.

At that moment, Najenda just pinched her bridge of her nose. "Does she have any idea where she had parked her ship?" she would criticize her like Captain Keyes.

"Being low in orbit would be very dangerous since the Flood can pilot small vehicles." Run added.

"She is quite unexperienced with the Flood, Reclaimers." Delta countered to be fair.

TartarusCOM: "We cannot let the humans capture the Icon. The Hierarchs do not look kindly on failure."

Special Operations Sangheili #3: "I grow restless without a target."

Up ahead is a ledge, where multiple Flood combat forms wait to ambush the team.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me." Wave sighed and killed a human infection form that was coming up to him.

"Well, at least we have something to entertain ourselves." Esdeath told her subordinate and killed another combat form with her energy sword.

Spec Ops Elite #4: "Look, up ahead. The parasite gathers for an attack."

The combat forms leap down onto the gondola, forcing the team to defend themselves. As the gondola continues moving in and up.

TartarusCOM: "Humans, I'll thin their ranks."

Tartarus flies his Phantom to the Gondola the UNSC forces are riding on, greatly decreasing the Sangheili's support fire. The gondolas enter a tunnel leading up. Masses of Flood combat forms begin to attack the team through holes in the gondola.

Special Operations Sangheili #3: (sarcastically) "What courage! Nice and safe in his Phantom!"

"Just don't worry about him." Esdeath looked at the Spec Ops Sangheili with contempt and killed another combat form.

Special Operations Sangheili #4: "Ignore the braggart, ready yourselves."

The Gondolas exit the tunnel as the second wave of Flood has been defeated.

TartarusCOM: "Humans! I'll get them."

Tartarus flies his Phantom away again, and the Sangheili discuss the situation.

Special Operations Sangheili #3: "That fool! He'll alert them to our presence!"

Special Operations Sangheili #4: "Look on the bright side, maybe they'll shoot him down!"

"I highly doubt that." Najenda said as she puffed out smoke.

The Gondola draws closer to the Library's entrance.

"I have to admit, it's way small than the one on the last Halo ring." Wave said.

"At least we won't have to deal with the flood." Seyru replied, earning the sighs of relief.

Special Operations Sangheili: "Behold, the Library of our lords!"

TartarusCOM: "The humans are already inside, Arbiter! After them! I'll watch the perimeter."

Once the Gondola reaches the entrance.

That Old, Familiar Feeling

The four and the remaining Sangheili went out on the Gondola

TartarusCOM: "Hurry, Arbiter! Get the Icon!"

The remaining Sangheili gather at the Gondola's exit.

Special Operations Sangheili #3: "We shall protect this vessel. It may be our only means of escape."

Flood infection forms crawl across the floor as the four enters the Library. The hallway is littered by a multitude of dead Marines and combat forms, and blood smears the ground. Almost immediately, the four starts destroying the dead flood forms to prevent from reanimating.

The four locates the entryway to the Icon.

Special Operations Sangheili #4: "Retrieve the Icon, Arbiter, for the Covenant, and the Journey!"

"You mean the final Journey." Najenda rose her eyebrow and earned groans from everyone and even Delta at that terrible joke.

(Cutscene)

Dolly-shot of the center of the Library, where the Index is floating in a container similar to the one on Alpha Halo. Commander Miranda Keyes who is carrying an SMG is approaching an Enforcer's cable, which was hanging off of some Enforcer wreckage.

"What could have done that?" Leone looked at the destroyed Enforcers.

She holds onto the cable as she sets aside her SMG and reaches for the Index. The container whirs, clicks, then releases the Index. She grabs it.

"She must be a Reclaimer." Tatsumi speculated.

Commander Keyes: "Gotcha."

The cable loosens its hold and continues to loosen. Keyes is about to fall to her death…..

"Good God! Another Keyes death!" Leone said.

Until the cable suddenly stops. She looks up and finds Sergeant Major Avery J. Johnson holding onto the cable.

"Phew, thanks for saving her Johnson." Leone sighed in relief.

Sergeant Johnson: (grunts) "You know, your father never asked me for help either."

"Not the time for that." Bols said as he felt sorry for Miranda to lose her father at the hands of the Flood.

Commander Keyes: (Places the Index in her belt) "The Index is secure."

Keyes climbs back onto the floor.

Sergeant Johnson: "McKenzie, Perez, how's our exit?"

No response.

"Oh yeah, the Flood killed them." Tatsumi remembered.

Sergeant Johnson: "You hear me, Marines?!"

Still no response. Johnson readies his battle rifle.

"Ohh, are we going to get a battle scene?" Leone perked up from her seat.

"You're going to find out reclaimer." Delta assured her.

Sergeant Johnson: (To Keyes) "We got trouble."

Johnson walks slowly, watching for any enemy in sight. He aims his battle rifle around, shining the mounted flashlight into the darkness. Suddenly he hears heavy footsteps on the right. He spins around just in time to see Thel 'Vadamee jumping at him.

Thel 'Vadamee: (roars in fury)

Johnson fires his battle rifle several times, hitting 'Vadamee, whose shields deflect the incoming fire.

"Damn, Johnson's picking up a good fight." Leone awed at Johnson's badass fight.

Johnson dodges out of the way as 'Vadamee lands and takes a swing at Johnson. The Sergeant blocks the strike with his battle rifle, but is knocked back by the force of the blow.

Sergeant Johnson: "Damn!"

The Arbiter takes another swing at Johnson, who, again, manages to block the attack with his battle rifle. Johnson rams his elbow into the Arbiter's chest, driving the Sangheili back a couple steps. He then swings his battle rifle at the Arbiter, but 'Vadamee knocks the weapon out of his hands with a single swipe.

Before Johnson can recover, the Arbiter grabs him by the throat and forces him up against a wall.

Sergeant Johnson: "How 'ya doin?"

"Now it not the time for jokes, Johnson." Najenda reminded him as she knows that he'll be distracted.

'Vadamee growls and throws Johnson to the floor. He then starts to approach Johnson when submachine gun fire lights his shields up. Scene rotates to the left, revealing Miranda Keyes firing her submachine gun.

Commander Keyes: "Sergeant, stay down!"

'Vadamee dashes for nearby cover as Keyes continues firing at him. He disappears from her sight.

Commander Keyes: (turns to Johnson, only to see him unconscious) "Johnson, are you all right? Johnson!"

"Damn, Thel actually knocked him out." Leone said.

'Vadamee takes advantage of Keyes' distraction and leaps high from his cover. He lands right in front of Keyes, who reacts by firing her SMG at point blank range. The Arbiter grabs the barrel of her weapon with one hand and forces it away from him. He then wrenches the SMG out of Keyes' hands with such force, she is thrown to the floor. Miranda starts to crawl away when a shock surrounding her whole body flickers, and pulls her away from 'Vadamee.

"What the hell?!" Mine uttered.

Cuts to Tartarus, who is using his personal gravity hammer, the Fist of Rukt on Keyes. She lands flat on his shoulder unconscious. He catches her in his grasp.

Tartarus: "Excellent work, Arbiter. The Hierarchs will be pleased."

'Vadamee has a hand on his side, where he was shot when his shields were drained.

"Looks like Miranda got one lucky shot at him." Akame pointed out.

Thel 'Vadamee: "The Icon... is my responsibility."

Tartarus: "Was your responsibility." (takes the Index from Keyes' belt) "Now it is mine."

"Looks like something is happening." Najenda pointed out.

Wide-shot of two Jiralhanae aiming their Brute Shots at 'Vadamee. The Arbiter stares at them in disbelief.

Cut to another Jiralhanae dragging the unconscious Johnson, with Tartarus firmly placing Keyes on the same Jiralhanae's shoulder

Tartarus: "A bloody fate awaits you and the rest of your incompetent race." (points his hammer at 'Vadamee) "And I, Tartarus, Chieftain of the Brutes will send you to it!"

Seyru had her eyes wide open when she heard Tartarus saying that word. She knew where this was going. This was an act of betrayal.

"Wait…." Bulat was about to say.

A very angry 'Vadamee clutching his wound while two Jiralhanae surround him.

Thel 'Vadamee: "When the Prophets learn of this, they will take your head!"

Tartarus: "When they learn?" (chuckles) Fool. They ordered me to do it."

Everyone even Esdeath had their eyes wide open in disbelief.

"So, all the changing of the guard was the start of the Elites being Usurped." Najenda started.

"I actually feel bad for the Elites for this." Mine admitted although she wasn't sorry for them since they were one of the species to help the Covenant kill most of humanity.

'Vadamee's face goes from angry to shocked as his eyes widen in horror and surprise, while the two Jiralhanae guarding him move out of the way.

Tartarus smirks as he activates his hammer and releases a concussive blast from it, sending 'Vadamee rolling on the floor and eventually falling into the dark pit below.

"Looks like Thel is dead. That's a good thing." Leone sighed in relief that the bastard that destroyed Reach is now dead.

"But his race will be exterminated by the Brutes." Sheele added with complete worry.

"I agree with you." Mine agreed as she clenched her right hand on her left wrist as this was reminding her of her childhood.

"Those Prophet bastards are going to pay for what they've done." Tatsumi said with greeted teeth.

"Justice for the Sangheili!" Seryu declared with Koro barking.

"She really changed after what she'd done. Luckily, I chose this universe in the first place." Delta thought as she looked at Seryu and Koro.

Cuts to black and level ends.

"Wow, that was the start of something." Wave said after watching the cutscene.

"That was the Start of the Great Schism." Everyone looked at Delta.

"Great Schism?" all of them looked at her.

"It was the great betrayal of the Sangheili and that led to an unrecoverable fracture within the Covenant." Delta answered. "To make things much more sense, I think a terminal will help you understand."

Terminal 12: Great Schism

The next terminal plays, everyone looks at the screen to look at the Great Schism.

Fade in on the Mausoleum of the Arbiter, where the Scribe is standing.

Scribe: "The history of the Arbiter is one of both legend and infamy. Their name has been corrupted by great shame."

Fade to a closeup of Thel 'Vadamee as he puts on his Arbiter helmet.

Scribe: "Though the contemporary is perhaps the most confounding of all. Thel 'Vadamee was born of noble blood. The legendary house of 'Vadam."

"WAIT WHAT?!" Everyone shouted.

"I told you, Thel has some similarities with Budo." Delta looked at them.

"Holy shit, he does remind me of Budo." Leone said loudly.

Zoom in on 'Vadamee's right eye.

Cut to Vadam keep on Sanghelios where a young 'Vadamee, dressed only in a red loincloth, and armed with a wooden staff, is training with four blue loincloth-wearing Sangheili, three of whom are also armed with staffs.

"Well, looks like the Sangheili's culture has some similarities with the Empire." Najenda pointed out.

Scribe: "His family's renown demanded great expectations for his military career. And he would meet them all."

One of the Sangheili charges at 'Vadamee. 'Vadamee flips his opponent over his shoulder and onto the ground. He then attacks the one unarmed Sangheili. The two grapple for control of the staff until 'Vadamee throws his opponent to the ground and incapacitates him with a punch. The third Sangheili raises his staff and charges, but 'Vadamee spins around and strikes him in the side of the head with his own staff, taking him down. The last Sangheili charges. 'Vadamee spins and strikes his opponent in the chest, knocking him to the floor. A triumphant 'Vadamee stands and strikes a victor's pose. Fade to black.

Everyone even Esdeath looked in complete awe at how Thel completely destroyed all of the Elites.

"Damn, I wouldn't survive a battle with him." Leone admitted as she really wanted to fight him.

Fade in on Thel 'Vadamee, now garbed in the gold armor and purple cloak of a Supreme Commander, standing on the bridge of his ship. The rest of the Covenant fleet can be seen outside the windows. Pan to a planet surrounded by asteroids.

Scribe: "One of the youngest to achieve the status of Shipmaster, and one of the youngest to gain the rate of Supreme Commander."

"Delta, looks like you're right all the long." Najenda sigh as her hatred of Thel slightly decreased.

"I told all of you Reclaimers, Thel have some same background as Budo." Delta said as she knows that their hatred of Thel is slightly fading away.

Scene outside the window speeds up, and the planet's surface turns to molten glass.

Scribe: "In our campaign against the humans, few have risen to renown as 'Vadamee."

Cut to a rotating holographic display of the galaxy. Planets disappear one by one, indicating they are being destroyed.

Scribe: "World after human world, all laid low for sake of the Great Journey."

Scene zooms in on a holographic depiction of Installation 04.

Scribe: "But then came Halo. Shame unto shame."

Scene fades to the real Halo as it explodes.

Scribe: "He failed his greatest charge, and the sacred ring was desecrated."

"Desecrated the sacred ring?! Chief had the right to destroy Halo!" Mine yelled.

Cut to a close-up of 'Vadamee, now bearing the Mark of Shame.

Scribe: "By such disgrace, Thel 'Vadamee became the Arbiter. As a mere scribe, I do not challenge the word of the Hierarchs."

Cut to 'Vadamee standing in the Mausoleum of the Arbiter.

Scribe: "But I would be remiss not to voice concern..."

'Vadamee dissolves and is replaced by the Scribe.

Scribe: "This Sangheili should have been put down."

"But the Prophets had plans for him." Tatsumi said.

The Scribe places his hand on one of the caskets.

Scribe: "Publicly slain as an example to all of our prayerful expediency."

Fade to black.

Fade in on High Charity and the Covenant fleet, now engaged in civil war above Installation 05.

Scribe: "With the discovery of a second ring, and the Changing of the Guard, all things are in jeopardy."

Cut to the surface of Installation 05, where Sangheili Councilors lie dead at the feet of a Brute Army Commander and his fellow Jiralhanae.

Everyone except Esdeath were shocked at this scene. Watching this scene made everyone angry at the Prophets to order such a thing.

"Those Prophets really did ordered something like this." Tatsumi said with gritted teeth as his dragon eye went feral in rage.

"What did the Sangheili ever do?" Sheele asked.

"It must be the hatred that the Elites had with the Brutes." Wave answered.

"You're right, Reclaimer." Delta said.

Scribe: "Will this Arbiter remain loyal? Or will he stand with his people as they are abolished by our new found might?"

"He's dead. So, there's nothing he could do really." Kurome raise her shoulders up as to answer and ate a cookie.

Cut to the Scribe.

Scribe: "I would never openly challenge the divine proclamations of a Hierarch..."

Cut back to the surface of Delta Halo, showing the POV of someone hiding in the thickets and spying on the Brutes who have slain the Councilors.

Scribe: "But this Arbiter is a risk I would not have tolerated."

The observer is revealed to be Thel 'Vadam.

Scribe: "And I now fear that the days of the Covenant are numbered."

"Semms like the Covenant Empire is starting to fall apart." Najenda said as she puffed out smoke.

'Vadam activates his energy sword.

Cut to black.

"So, what do you think?" Delta asked as she knew what kind of reaction she is expecting from them.

"Those Prophets should pay for what they done!" Tatsumi said with gritted teeth.

"Eliminate." Akame said darkly.

"Hope we get to kill them." Leone said as she was clicking her fists.

"Alright, I now you hate the San'Shyuum. But you should get your minds off of it by playing the next mission." Delta recommended as she was trying to cool the wrathful environment.

"Sure." Everyone immediately answered.

"Just to warn you. This next mission will be hard." Delta warned them. "This will be the hardest mission that you're going to die a lot. Even you Akame and Esdeath would die a couple of times."

"And how do we make the kills easier?" Najenda asked as she was planning on her head.

"Use the carbines and dual wield Needlers, they are useful to the enemies that you're going to fight." Delta replied.

"Hmm, okay got it. Akame, Leone and Mine, we're going to play the next mission." She told her subordinates as she knows that they're the best types of people in the mission that Delta had warned them. She didn't choose Esdeath as she had played the last hardest mission. Said girl puts as she really wanted to play with Tatsumi.

"You got that." The two of the three said girls nodded and soon picked up the controllers.

"Understood." Akame said as she picked up the controller.

"One more thing." The new players looked at Delta. "As the mission begins, duck for cover immediately." she warned them as she knows that as they would begin, the Brutes would kill them with their Brute Plasma rifle.

With that said and done, the players looked at the screen to play the hardest mission ever.

A/N: Well, I do hope that they could survive a Battlefield. And don't worry, Esdeath is going to play with Tatsumi in the thirteenth and fifteenth mission of Halo 2, ODST and 3. The reason I chose Akame, Leone, Mine and Najenda was that well, since Najenda had barely played, the three girls could help her. Just to keep in mind, the next chapter might be the longest in this fanfic. I'll say this one more time. MIGHT. Well, that wraps up things, I might see you next week or two.

Edit: I can think of a future fanfic where the UNSC High Empyrion Sword of Liberty along with Night Raid goes in a Forerunner Shield World where they encounter two more groups that are forced to work to together to defeat the Alien force that occupy the world.

I can think of one chapter where Incuriso is infected by the logic plague, which might not be well as planned. But' we'll see.

I also had the planned reaction for ODST: The life. And I cannot wait to watch them listen to the politics and life
