After the BBQ, the Braxton's, their partners and the kids were sat around the garden talking away to each other. They all felt better knowing they were together again, and the brothers were determined to help Kyle stay in a good frame of mind. They could see he had changed a lot after going to the canine centre, and he was certainly eating a lot more, even managing a second plate, which pleased Brax as he wasn't sure if he was eating better or not.
"I'm going to have to workout so much tomorrow!" Casey moans as he leans back in the chair he was sat on, next to Kyle and Denny.
"You look like you've been doing a lot since the last time I saw you." Kyle comments.
"Yeah, I never realised how bad it was until I went back to work properly." Casey frowns. "But I need to look better than I did before, so I've got to do a lot more work."
"Maybe I could join you on some workouts, to get in shape." Kyle says. "It would also give me something to do considering I won't be at work for a while."
"Sure, if you're up for it. We could definitely get you on some cardio and weight lifting. Do you need any physio on your arm still, or is it okay?" Casey asks.
"Nope, it's fully healed. I don't even need any more check ups on it as the doctor was pleased with my recovery."
"Well that's great news. Means you'll be able to play with this one a lot more." Denny smiles at Bruno as she pets him.
"Yeah, he's a lot stronger than he was months ago, and a lot bigger. To think I used to be able to pick him up with one arm." Kyle shakes his head, amazed at how much Bruno has grown since having him.
"Uh, it's so unfair! But at least we've got him now and we will give him a great life to come." Casey smiles.
"We?" Kyle raises an eyebrow. "Nah, he's mine." He lightly smirks over at Brax, who caught the conversation.
"I don't remember having your name put on the harness for him." Brax says to his youngest brother.
"But it was my idea for Kyle to go there, so I should be able to help. And if not, get me my own dog!" Casey says.
"You're not having a dog. Bruno is a support dog for Kyle. I'm not getting into it again with you Casey, so stop bringing it up." Brax firmly says, shaking his head as Casey mutters something under his breathe.
"Anyway, it's getting late so we're going to head home." Heath says as him and Bianca stand up.
"It was great for us all to be together, we should do it again soon." Bianca smiles as Heath picks Harley up from where he had been playing beside them.
"Yeah, we should." Ricky smiles as she rocks Emilia to sleep.
The next morning Kyle had slept in quite a bit. As he woke up, he glanced around at all of Lillie's thing, reality hitting him again. This was harder than he thought it would have been, and he wanted to change it, so he would start feeling better again.
Quickly getting up to get changed, he then grabbed a bag from the top of the wardrobe, and starting putting everything of Lillie's in it. He didn't focus on what he was picking up to put in it, he just wanted to get it over with. Once he had packed everything up, he walked out of his room towards the flat, ignoring Heath who was stood the other side of the counter with Brax, whilst Ricky sat on the couch with Emilia.
"What's all that?" Brax asks his younger brother.
"Just some stuff I thought you could have. Anything you don't want, you can do what you like with." Kyle mutters, walking back out of the flat towards his room.
"What sort of stuff?" Ricky asks as she shifts her position, just as Heath walks over to the bag to look at the contents, pulling a baby grow from the top.
"It looks like Lillie's things." Heath frowns.
He rummages through the bag, finding more baby clothes and some toys. He was about to take his hand out, when something sharp caught his hand, causing him to hiss in pain. Pulling it out, blood trickled down his hand, he then pulled a knife out from the bag, shooting his gaze towards his brother.
"I thought you took everything sharp out of his room?" Heath asks.
"I did." Brax says, rushing towards Kyle's room with Heath following.
Not even bothering to knock, Brax barged into Kyle's room, sighing at the sight of Kyle sat on the floor, sobbing into his hands as he clutched Lillie's favourite teddy that she slept with since the day she was born. Bruno sat next to Kyle, whining at him as Brax walked forward. He crouched next to Kyle, pulling him into a tight hug whilst Heath watched on helplessly before deciding to give them some space.
"What's going on?" Bianca asks from where she was sat at the table after taking a work call.
"Kyle's packed pretty much all of Lillie's things up and has given them to Brax and Ricky. I didn't see a knife in between it all and cut my hand, so we went to check on Kyle… He's in bits in his room, so Brax is staying with him." Heath replies, running his hand under the tap.
"What was a knife doing in a bag of Lillie's things?" Bianca frowns, getting up to nurse his hand.
"I don't know, Brax is probably going to try and work that out once he's calmed Kyle down. We thought everything sharp had been removed from his room, so now I'm thinking he might have some hidden somewhere we didn't know about. He can't go back to self-"
"He won't, we know all the signs to look out for. I'm sure there's a simple reason for it being in there." Bianca says, sitting him down. "Have you heard anything from Kat and Murray?"
"So far nothing has come up. They're checking out some guy now, then they've just got the FED and his wife to check out, which is unlikely to bring anything up either. I just don't understand how nothing has been seen after 3 months of her being missing! A baby doesn't just disappear like that, especially without nothing been seen on any CCTV around the Bay. And if it was someone who knew us well, had bad blood with us, why wasn't there a ransom note left? Say if it was Pirovic or Gunno, they'd do it for a reason." Heath says, briefly glancing down. "It sounds evil, but if something had to happen to Lillie, I'd rather it was something else, something that could have given Kyle closure. Not that anything should have happened in the first place."
"You say that because you care about Kyle, especially after finding him unconscious as you did, because of all of this. If we were in his shoes and that was Rocco… I wouldn't have been able to have kept going this long without knowing anything. Kyle's strong and can get through this." Bianca says.
"If I ever find out who did this, they'll regret it." Heath grunts.
"I think this is the one time I'd agree with you saying that, when it comes to something illegal anyway." She says, smiling at his face. "It's not just Kyle who's been hurt by this. I saw the bond you and Brax had with Lillie, even Casey, who never met her. You all adored her, and you helped Kyle so much which I know he was grateful for. I'm not condoning violence, but a baby snatcher deserves more than a prison sentence." She says, seeing a glint in his eye as he smirks. "What? Didn't think I had it in me to say something like that?"
"Who knew it could sound so sexy coming from you." Heath grins, leaning in to kiss her. "I love you, and you're great with Harley and Darcy, I never want that to change."
"It won't. Till death do us part, no matter what." Bianca says as they decide to go and join Ricky.
