Lessons In Love: Chapter Eighty-Four: Seven Nation Army (Part 4)
Tony put his shirt on over his chest. It was kinda early, but Stephen was still sitting down beside his bed. He was up all night, and Tony was pretty worried about him.
Of course, Stephen didn't tell him shit. He tried to sleep a few times, and Tony even tried to help him fall asleep. They did some semi-sorta sexy stuff, but nothing worked. Stephen was troubled, and very distant.
Now, he was doing his voodoo meditation for hours. Tony watched him sit there. He was slightly hovered over the floor. Tony got some breakfast, he chatted with his beautiful mommy, and now Tony got dressed and he kept watching Stephen.
The future Sorcerer Supreme was searching for the Dark Dimension. He was in a trance, and trying to retrace his steps. He was in the Dark Dimension when he first met the version of Clea that existed in his realm.
In Stephen's mind, he was looking down at his lap. He was concentrating on the energy that he felt and remembered. Clea had a unique energy pattern.
Stephen abruptly stopped himself. He thought that he was totally crazy for seeking her out. He didn't know why he wanted to see her. It wasn't like she could help his situation. Stephen started retreating back to his body. The area around his astral form began to speed up as he tried to return to where he sat.
He came to a full stop, yet again. Stephen was standing in his astral form, but something was in his path. The sorcerer-in-training followed a faint glow with his eyes. It was soft purple, and it was growing.
It stretched vertically and the color became brighter. Stephen's pulse picked up when he noticed the glow take on a familiar shape. Clea's silhouette formed slowly, and her eyes appeared first.
Darkness was all around the two of them. Clea was the brightest thing in that space. She was in her solid form, and she just stared at Stephen.
He stared back at her and immediately swallowed the nervous feeling in his gut. Stephen thought that she was beautiful, and his tongue twisted up. It felt heavier and he couldn't speak.
She smiled at him, and looked at his clothing. Her eyes travelled back to Stephen's and she wondered if he was going to speak. The ruler of the Dark Dimension was just understanding what her rule meant. Her older self told her many details, but she also received additional information from a vision.
Clea figured out what her touch would do to Stephen, and she knew why her older self forbid it. Well, Stephen was in her world now, and she became tempted to break that oppressive rule.
Clea closed the distance between them, she almost touched his face. Stephen kept his eyes focused on her, and he started thinking that his heart was going to give out.
Her plan didn't work. Clea's hand reached his face, but nothing happened when she tried to touch his skin. Her hand slipped right through him, and something yellow appeared to her right.
Stephen quickly looked to his left. He saw the flash of yellow as well, and the would-be-sorcerer was instantly confused.
A person showed up. He couldn't tell the gender, but the person was dressed in yellow garments. The clothes looked like they were from the Kamar taj.
"Leave Clea. Now."
It was too early for the two of them to interact. The Ancient One made that point very clear by the look on her face. Clea brought her hand back toward her body and she stared at the Ancient One.
She was aware of who it was, but she didn't want to leave. The young ruler glanced back over at Stephen. He didn't understand at all.
"Leave, or I will remove you."
That was Clea's last warning. The Ancient One was not messing around. Something happened with Stephen and she felt like it was time for her to reveal herself. She was part of the Surveillant Council, and she was also the person that had been watching Stephen all his life.
He was never supposed to speak to his father again. The Ancient One purposefully suppressed his emotions, and Stephen was supposed to finish school. His timeline was very altered.
Clea quietly said goodbye to Stephen. He gave a look of protest, but his dream girl disappeared in an instant. That hurt his heart, and it angered Stephen. He held a sharp glare, but the Ancient One completely ignored it.
"Blindly wandering around the Dark Dimension will get you killed, Stephen."
"Fantastic. Who the hell are you?"
She felt very familiar to him. Stephen couldn't place it. He started thinking that he had heard her voice before. He stared at her face as The Ancient One kept her focus where Clea was.
She wanted to make sure that her energy was really gone. Stephen wasn't ready, and the Ancient one needed him to leave that dimension immediately. She felt the presence of enemies. They were beginning to move in.
"You should be somewhere else. Focus on your training."
Her hands were brought out of her bulky clothes. Stephen watched her make a few gestures with her hands and he was quickly cast backward. Stephen was shoved back into his body and he screamed loudly into the space.
Tony friggen jumped up over a million feet. Stephen scared him so badly... he almost died. Tony friggen yelled at him. Stephen was still in shock. He heard Tony, but his focus was on his hands.
He was shoved back. Stephen also felt like something was blocked. He felt a difference in his energy, and he knew that the person he saw put a block on his ability.
That meant he was unable to get back to Clea. He wanted to talk to her. Stephen swallowed again, and he blinked several times. Tony watched him inhale quickly, and Stephen looked like he was going to throw up.
"You gunna die or something, seriously, what the fuck?"
I MEAN, WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK? Tony was worried. Stephen wasn't saying anything and it was annoying Tony. The sorcerer-in-training slowly looked up at the brunette.
"Sorry Tony. I'm not sure what's going on. I only know that I might have done something terrible."
Stephen looked sad. He looked really friggen sad. Tony kept looking down at the person that was sitting on his bedroom floor. Tony dropped down to the floor as well and he studied that face.
"What do you mean, terrible? What happened?"
Tony wasn't gunna let Stephen up off that floor. He wanted answers.
