The case that day involved Kensi having to make a sniper shot. Which brought up what had happened to her the year before.
Hetty's office
'Tough day today.' Granger said.
'I'm glad Miss Blye was able to make the shot.' Hetty responded.
'Thankfully, her memories of last year didn't cloud her judgement. Or us forcing her to go on that mission.'
'Jack is a good man who was badly affected by war. And I owed him. And as I told you last year, by the time I figured out it was really him, it was too late to tell her. The CIA screwed us both over.' Hetty said, looking serious.
'I know. I'm not still mad over it, I know you were just trying to help a good man. Heaven knows just how many soldiers we've seen over the years be affected badly by wars.'
'At least we weren't affected too badly.' Hetty said.
'Still get bad dreams of it at all?'
'Not much. You?'
'Sometimes. On a rare night, I wake up sweating or gasping for air.'
'Sigh. At least we helped each other, even though we both didn't want each other's help.' Hetty said.
'Okay, enough with the gloomy talk. Do you want to do something tonight?' Granger asked.
'Well, there is a clear sky tonight. I'm planning on lying down in my backyard to star gaze, want to come?'
'Sounds boring, but we'll be alone. And I'll be able to talk to her.' Granger thought. 'Okay.'
'Sweet! Meet me at Dovecote at sundown.'
