A/N: I don't any rights to the movie Armageddon or the theme song from it, just borrowing for the purposes of this story.
Harm, lost in the wonderful visions he is having and the soft touch of hands kneading his sore muscles, can feel all the tension slowly leaving his body. He swears he hears a soft sweet soprano voice singing to him, "Lying close to you, feeling your heart beating. And I'm wondering what you're dreaming. Wondering if it's me you're seeing."
Subconsciously he answers in mumbled tune, "The sweetest dream will never do. I still miss you, Mac, and I don't want to miss a thing."
Mac runs her index finger along the out shell of his crooked ear, softly whispering in it, "I'm right here, Harm. It's time to get up so we can go to bed."
Harm doesn't want to be awakened. Behind his closed eyes, Mac is kneading his soft flesh, but her hands have moved from his lower back further south. She has pushed his sweatpants down and is softly raking her nails over his six causing goosebumps to emerge all over his body, and his shaft hardens almost painfully. He can only imagine how her nails will feel digging into his glutes in the throes of passion. She moves her hands away for a moment, and he groans from the loss of contact until he can feel her hardened nipples pressing lightly into his shoulder blades as she whispers his name softly in his ear. When did she take her shirt off? The feel of her supple flesh pressed so sensuously against his makes him want her to move her hands somewhere else. He hears her voice again, this time for insistently, "Harm."
He feels like ice cold water has been dumped on him as he drifts back into reality to find her crouched next to him, fully clothed in the sweatpants and t-shirt that she put on earlier. He notices the credits of the movie rolling past. His voice, a little rough from sleep, responds, "Wow, I missed the whole movie. Sorry about that, I must have been more tired than I realized."
Mac teases, "Hmm. I might have to question your normal hero complex. You stayed awake through the chick flick and fell asleep while guys were flying in space to save the world. Bonking your head has definitely re-wired some things in there!"
He rolls over to his side, ignoring her attempts to bait him. He surprisingly finds, as he turns, that his back doesn't protest at all. He smiles, "I feel great, Mac."
She grins, "Peppermint oil is one of the best natural remedies for aching muscles."
He sits up, "I don't think it had anything to do with the oil. I just think that Nurse MacKenzie has the magic touch."
She offers him her palm stretched out to help him up, "We need to get to bed, Sailor. I still have to be up at a reasonable hour to check in with the Admiral."
He furrows his brow, "You aren't going into the office?"
Mac smiles, "Nope, I have been granted sailor sitting liberty for the next few days. I don't have to report back until Monday, and then I have leave to take you to your neurology scan as well."
Harm grumbles, "Sailor sitting?"
She answers matter of factly, "Yep! And I might have to tell the Admiral that it requires hazard pay as well."
Harm, feeling much more relaxed since his massage, yanks Mac on top of him and begins tickling her sides mercilessly.
She gasps in between giggles, "Harm, stop, you are going to hurt yourself."
He finally lets up off his attack muttering, "Hazard pay, indeed!"
He gives Mac a few minutes to catch her breath, simply holding her to him before a thought clicks in his head. "Speaking of the Admiral, I thought he was supposed to be bringing dinner tonight, and then you let me cook."
Mac laughs, "Oops, I was so overwhelmed by our discussion earlier that I forgot to mention that he sent me a text. I'm surprised it took you this long to remember that. Guess your head still isn't firing on all cylinders yet."
Harm digs his fingers into her side, ready to begin his assault once again, but she swats them away. She continues, "He got roped into more meetings at the Pentagon, but offered a rain check to bring that divine Italian dinner he promised this weekend. He also said that the staff was currently under orders not to come visit yet."
Harm laughs, "I'm surprised he trusts the two of us not to kill each other being alone together that long."
Mac grins like a Cheshire cat, "Well, he did give me permission to tie you to the bed if you complained too much."
Harm smiles at the visual, "Kinky, Marine."
Mac laughs, "Oh no, trust me it would be absolutely no fun for you! I would leave you by yourself to your own devices while I slept on the couch!"
Harm nuzzles his nose into the sweet aroma of her hair, "Hmm. My mother always told me 'never trust a person who says trust me.' But you've had my trust for a long time, so I will have to give you the benefit of the doubt. Speaking of, aren't we supposed to be heading to bed?"
Mac looks him in the eye, and brushes her lips softly across his, "It's about time you invited me to your bed, Sailor. But first, you have to let go of me."
Harm pulls her a little tighter, murmuring, "I don't ever plan to let you go."
Mac attempts to wriggle out of his hold, to no avail, "I'm glad to hear that, but you can hold onto me in the bed."
Harm sounds like a lost little boy as he asks, "Forever?"
Mac smiles, "I love the sound of that. However, we will have to get out of bed at some point."
Harm loosens his embrace, "I suppose. Just as long as I don't have to spend too many nights without you sleeping in my arms."
She gives him a soft smile, "That's a promise I can agree to. Now let me up so we can turn the movie off and get into bed."
Harm puffs his lower lip out, "One more kiss first?"
Mac gives him a quick peck on the lips.
Harm shakes his head, not satisfied. "A real kiss, Mac. A kiss like you would give the man you love, not some perfunctory greeting you would give to a stranger from a foreign country."
Mac leans down and softly nibbles his lower lip for a few moments before tracing the seam of his lips until he parts them in invitation. She slips her tongue in to tangle with his, and to explore every inch of his mouth. Just as he groans softly into her mouth, she breaks away grinning, "Three minutes and eighteen seconds definitely has to count as something more than just going through the motions!"
