Short Version: I'm back, baby.

It's been 10 years to the day that I first posted Fantasy's Reality on this site, and there's no doubt that the story had a huge impact on me. Not only did it get me into a better emotional state by having a creative outlet, but also got me into writing and literature, something that I could do well but had no interest in. Now, it's been 10 years, and I've graduated High School and University, but I know it's no coincidence that I still think about the story just about every day. I hold it, and all the characters in it, very close to my heart. I also know it's no coincidence that it happened to fall on a Thanksgiving day, and it's one of the things I'm thankful for every time I think about it.

And so, I've started writing it again, from the beginning. So, a few things to note:

First, I'm not taking down this story and replacing it. No way. This story is my child, my best friend, and one of the most important things to me. What I am going to do is start posting the new story as a different one (which, in many ways, it will be, it's been years, right?) and when I catch up to where I am in this story, I'll be posting for both.

Second, Fantasy's Reality has been, for quite a while now, a two-part series. The second half was never created or published anywhere, but I had plenty of plans for the romance/light adventure to take a different turn at a certain point. So this story will end with the first half, but the other version will be the completed work. If you prefer the romance/slice of life story, then you'll still be getting that...and you'll still see plenty of it in the other version, too! As for what other themes will come up, check out that story to find out. It's the only other one on my profile page, so it's not hard to find.

Third, the 2020 Fantasy's Reality is, obviously, much more well written (I hope), but the large story is going to stay the same. If you've read this story, then know that there will be more detail, new moments, those kinds of things. But all the characters are still themselves. Heck, one of the reasons I stopped writing the story was because I wasn't confident I could do them justice. Chapters are going to be much longer and also have some 'behind the scenes' author's notes, talking about the backstory and creation of the series, characters, etc. It's also a much bigger read. At the time of typing this out, the day before I post this, I've done the first three chapters. Those three chapters are over one-fourth of the thirty-eight chapters that have been put into this story. So yes, much more detail.

Fourth, I will be having a soft editor (someone who looks through and looks for obvious, glaring messes) and will actually look over my own material this time, hooray! That just means I'll edit little things here and there. Ideally, I'd like to try and get a chapter done per week, but we shall see. With three chapters in the wings, that'll give me a bit of a buffer. I usually write chapters when I've got a bit of time at work to do so.

Finally, thank you all so much for the support! I hope to see more comments, follows and the like. No idea how often people read works on this site, but I still see it as a story worth sharing with the world. I hope it's the same for you all.

Here's to the revitalization of Fantasy's Reality.
