Chapter 34
Decode
Charlie picked up Bella on her last day of school of her sophomore year. It was Friday, June 5th. Bella handed her father her grades on a piece of paper. Charlie took it.
"Well?" Charlie compared her fall grades to spring. Bella had straight A's, and even an A+. He loved how Bella went up or stayed the same, even bringing her A- and B up to A's.
"WOW! Congratulations Bells! Perfect scores! I knew you could do it!"
"Thanks Dad. I couldn't have done it without you."
"Me? Oh no Bells, these grades are all you. Now how about milkshakes."
"Chocolate Oreo milkshakes?"
"Only the chocolatiest." Bella smiled. "Is Edward coming?"
"He will meet us there," Bella said. Charlie nodded, taking off towards the Diner.
"Happy to be done with school?"
"I was rather enjoying school."
"You could always take a summer course at Port Angeles Community College."
"I just might."
Bella was carrying her few bags, as Rosalie and Alice had their arms filled with shopping bags. It was the first Saturday, the day after school ended.
"I've decided to throw a party!" Alice said. "You know for my birthday."
"No surprise there," Rosalie said. Bella smiled.
"Hush!"
"What type of party Alice?" Bella asked.
"Bowling party."
"Bowling? Seriously! Like at a bowling alley?"
"It will be fun!" Alice said.
Since Edward didn't care for a party for his 17th birthday, so Alice decided to throw a bowling alley birthday party to make up on her birthday party on Sunday, June 21st which was in 2 weeks. Rosalie was dressed in a white blouse with blue cutout jeans, and brown caged sandals. Alice was dressed in a black and blue striped long sleeve top with gray tank top, dark blue denim mini skirt and black pumps. Bella was dressed gray short sleeve button down top with brown skinny belt around her waist, blue denim jeans, and black worn down Converse shoes. They looked like 3 best friends out at a mall. Alice wanted to go shopping for her birthday party outfits.
"So, Bella have you been bowling before?" Alice asked.
"No, not that I can remember," Bella said.
"Good."
"We still have an hour until the movies, what shall we do?"
"There's an arcade."
"What are we, 10 year old boys?" Rosalie asked.
"There's that new book store," Alice said.
"What are we, 80 years old grannies." Rosalie asked.
"Hey, I love books," Bella said.
"There's a gardening club in the mall."
"Ok, 40 year old house Moms, not 80, getting younger…" Alice rolled her eyes. "Excuse me…" Rosalie rushed to the bathroom.
"What's up with her?" Bella asked. Alice shrugged.
"Probably that corn dog she just had to have," Alice said.
How did we get here
When I used to know you so well? Yeah, yeah, yeah
Well, how did we get here?
When I used to know you so well?
I think I know
I think I know
There is something
I see in you
It might kill me
I want it to be true
The song "Decode" by Paramore was playing from Bella's room when Alice arrived. Alice barely got through the door before Bella attacked her with a hug.
"Alice, I messed up! I messed up bad," Bella cried. Alice could see Bella's red eyes from all her crying.
"I know, I know. Edward didn't have to tell me something bad happened from the way he came storming home and slamming his door. What I didn't see is why you dumped him. How could you do that Bella? He leaves tomorrow for camp!" Bella looked down as guilt washed over her.
"I...I...I think I'm pregnant. I mean, I'm late and..."
"Bella! You're not pregnant!" Alice exclaimed.
"What? But I'm late, I'm never late."
"Well, that may be something, but you're not pregnant. Trust me."
"How do you know?" Bella asked.
"Because you're not the one I saw having a baby next January."
"What?"
"No Bella. You're not pregnant. Rosalie is."
"What?"
THE END...for now :)
I don't get the feeling this story caught on with fans. I can see the amount of reviews decreasing each chapter, even though each chapter tends to increase the number of followers and likes. So in order to get better I think a revamp of the sequel will be required if I do move on with this storyline. I have a few other stories first that are completely done which I'm looking forward to posting next instead of continuing this story. But look out for Blue Butterfly Boy, the sequel for Purple Skies coming next year, next spring.
