AN: Here we go!
Time: A few weeks after the Hunters got their new daggers
The Hunters were currently being tortured by Apollo's horrible taste in elevator music. Apparently, a new war was coming, and it was gonna be bigger than the last two.
And for some reason, the Oracle of Delphi could not give a prophecy.
Phoebe groaned in annoyance. Zeus had called a meeting with everyone related to the mythological world in attendance. This meant that all those stupid males from Camp Half-Blood, Camp Jupiter, and all those lustful minor gods would be there. Maybe she could kick some of their balls in.
After an agonisingly long wait, the elevator doors opened, and the Hunters filed out. They made a beeline for Artemis' palace, not giving a second glance to the rest of Olympus.
If they had, they would have noticed how bright and cheerful the day was. Apollo's chariot was high in the sky, birds were chirping, and trees swayed in the breeze. Naiads and dryads frolicked about in the grass. The marketplace was bustling with noisy people, all trading goods and services for drachmae. A few minor gods bustled about with stacks of paper, seemingly all business, but Phoebe could tell from experience that they were just checking them out.
The Hunters turned onto Ambrosia Lane, where all the palaces belonging to the Olympians were. Just on the next street, at the end of Greece Court, stood the throne room of Olympus, at the heart of the city.
They rushed past Perseus' palace, and stopped at his neighbour's. Artemis' palace was right beside his.
The moon goddess' palace was silver, but not too obnoxious. A deer's skull watched over the high silver gates, which led to her palace. On the driveway stood an enormous marble statue of Artemis herself, with her bow raised to the sky. In front of her palace was Artemis' temple. Contrary to what others would think, it was quite a small temple. Zeus' temple was the only large one on Olympus. They had enough large ones down in the mortal world.
Behind the temple lay the palace itself. It had several storeys, each with its own balcony. And each balcony had a small forest, complete with animals like deer. Artemis' private chambers were placed on the topmost floor. A large glass door which spanned the entire wall led to the balcony. As usual, there were plants on the top balcony, but it was not as forested as the other floors. This balcony had a couch, and a bed, with a small table beside it. There was also a telescope, which was permanently fixed to show the moon. Sometimes, on full moon nights, Artemis came here, and relaxed in the open air. Sometimes, dealing with her Hunters was tiring work.
Inside, there were several rooms, an armoury, dining room, kitchen, several private bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms. Each room had a nameplate, showing which hunter it belonged to. They were equipped with a bed, and a wardrobe, with a full-body mirror. There was a rack for keeping their bows and daggers. There were not too many things to clutter the place, for the Hunters spent most of their time in the common room, in the balconies, or on the streets. They only came to their bedrooms to sleep.
Every hunter kept their new dagger carefully, it's beauty enchanting, and captivating. They feared that it would not last a day in combat, and would shatter at the first touch with metal. Unlike their old and rough silver knives, these looked... fragile. They had no idea what it was made of.
As usual, the Hunters set out, led by Artemis. They slinked silently through the abandoned back streets of the grand city, unnoticed by everyone, till they came to the elevator doors, the only entrance to Olympus. Artemis sent a girl, Atlanta, daughter of Apollo, down as scout, so that she could keep an eye on any newcomers.
They were hunting for Perseus' group, ready to ambush them.
A couple of minutes later, the girl returned breathlessly. "They are here." She breathed, and pointed towards the elevator doors. The Hunters hid back into the shadows, and watched intently.
They weren't expecting the rough and rowdy group of misfits that walked through the doors. They were expecting some trained soldiers or something like that.
Instead, eight males, each around eighteen years of age, walked through, and each wore a different uniform, not like the silver ones the Hunters donned with pride.
At the head of the group, a black-haired boy strode forward with determination, though Artemis could tell that it was not Percy. This boy had a pair of sunglasses covering his eyes, and an eagle perched on his shoulder. A German Shepherd trotted obediently by his side.
The next one had an eye patch covering one eye. Although, if it was for fashion, or whether he really had one eye, Artemis could not say for sure. Where his left arm should have been, however, was a gun. Artemis deduced that he had lost his arm, which had been replaced with the gun. Why Percy had not healed him, she could not say. A tube connected the gun to his person, disappearing somewhere under his shirt. His cold and calculating grey eyes told Artemis that he was a son of Athena.
The next one... was dressed like a police officer? He had his nose high in the air, literally, which made the police forces cap on his head tilt, and slide off every couple of seconds. The rest of his uniform was a dark blue, and several medals were pinned to his chest. Although Artemis could say that those medals were not earned, rather stolen from mortal authorities.
The next one seemed to be a son of Hephaestus. He seemed to be the youngest of the group, only about fourteen years of age. He was a Latino elf, short, and hyper- ADHD. He had a sharp nose, and black eyes, which darted here and there. He constantly fiddled with some spheres, and let off small explosions, though his blackened face and singed hair did not seem to bother him. He reminded Thalia of Leo.
The next one seemed much more relaxed and friendly. This boy was tall, and unbelievably buff, and carried two large cannons, though it seemed to hardly bother him. He carried the extra ninety pounds of weight like a feather, as if it were a part of his own body.
The next three boys seemed less friendly, though they were constantly bickering, and slightly shoving each other. It reminded Artemis of how Percy, Nico and Thalia would hang out earlier.
One of them reminded Artemis of Hound, whom she had seen several weeks ago. He was almost round, with several guns, pouches, and medkits strapped to his body. Although, he did not have the same beard covering his face. The silent one, who had held the demigods at gunpoint was also there. He was wearing the same helmet, with the same goggles propped up on them, the same black and green unbuttoned trench coat. He seemed anxious, constantly looking around and, his hands automatically seemed to go to his back, where he undoubtedly carried some guns. Artemis wondered what his name was.
The next one, Artemis had never seen. He wore blue samurai armour, and a similarly coloured helmet. He had the beginnings of a goatee blackening his chin, and a scar over his right eye. There were four Stygian Iron swords strapped to his back, while there were several Stygian Iron hunting knives hidden under his samurai skirt. He
rested his right hand on the hilt of a sword. He looked Japanese, with yellow skin, and very small eyes. (No racism intended.)
But, Artemis, thanks to her enhanced Hunter's hearing, could eavesdrop on their conversation. She could gather all their names. In order, they were -
1. Soundwave
2. Shockwave
3. Barricade
4. Bombshell
5. Ironhide
6. Hound
7. Crosshairs and
8. Drift
These did not sound like real names, so Artemis could only think that they were using code names. She wondered what Percy's codename was.
Anyway, back to the eight boys, they had hardly made it fifty yards, before Hound and Drift got into a heated argument. Somehow Crosshairs got involved.
Anyway, they ended up in this way. Hound had two shotguns aimed at Drift and Crosshairs. Crosshairs had two revolvers pointed at Hound and Drift. Drift was holding two swords at Hound's and Crosshairs' throats. Ironhide, trying to keep the peace, had pointed his cannon at Crosshairs and Hound. Shockwave, fearing Ironside's firepower, had his gun trained behind his head. Meanwhile, Bombshell had dropped a bomb in fright, and it had exploded near Barricade. In retaliation, Barricade had whipped out a shotgun, and shot near Bombshell's leg.
Maybe they weren't so trained, after all.
Soundwave, likely the mediator of the group, played a recording. Artemis recognised it as Percy's voice. "You shouldn't argue among yourselves, and you shouldn't pull out weapons, you will be peaceful. THE. END."
The boys rubbed their heads sheepishly and put away their respective weapons. Hound and Drift glared at each other, and looked away.
Slowly, they made their way to Percy's palace. Nothing occurred for the rest of the journey.
Percy's palace was a spitting image of his cabin at Camp Half-Blood. And by that, I don't mean the Poseidon Cabin. I mean the Perseus Cabin.
Oh, and did I forgot to mention that it was like the most shabby, smallest, and most unimaginative Cabin ever?
His palace was just a one storey grey cuboid of bricks, with only one small window. The Hunters tried to peek through the window, but inside was all darkness. There was a plain oak door, with two moonlace flowerpots by the doorstep.
As the eight boys reached the door, Soundwave turned around, and stretched his hand out to Hound, giving him a questioning look. "Yes, yes, I have the keys here."
Hound patted himself down, and frowned, before he dropped a machine gun off his back. Several shotguns, ammunition belts, and pouches followed it, before Hound finally held up a key triumphantly, rummaging through all the pouches he had dropped.
Soundwave took the key silently, and opened the door. The eight filed in, and the heap of firearms lying on the doorstep disappeared after them. Unfortunately, the Hunters again failed to see inside.
Instead, they waited outside. Phoebe tapped her foot impatiently. They were competitive indeed, and wanted to challenge them to see who was better.
After a mere five minutes, the door opened again. Hound and Drift were the first ones out, again arguing. The others tried to placate them, while Bombshell stood off to the side, fiddling with some more bombs. Soundwave and Shockwave were the last out. After they had locked the door, Shockwave brought attention to the fact that the Hunters were waiting for them.
Artemis raised her eyebrow as the eight hastened to bow to her. She felt that Soundwave had known that they were watching, but had said nothing. "We want to challenge you to two competitions. The loser has to admit that the other is superior."
Shockwave started in a cold voice- "Logic dictates that we wait.."
He was cut off by Hound and Drift, who shouted synchronised, "You are so on!" They smiled at each other, and fist-bumped.
Artemis raised her eyebrow again. They had practically threatened each other not an hour ago.
Soundwave did not say anything.
Phoebe jabbed a finger towards him rudely. "Does he never speak? Is his voice so bad that he has to play recordings of your master?"
"Phoebe. Behave." Artemis, surprisingly, stopped her. "I will dictate the rules. Follow me."
The two groups followed the moon goddess to the archery range. It was deserted, because the Hunters were practically the only ones that used it.
Artemis pointed to the first six targets, which were at a range of two hundred yards. "One person will shoot three shots at three targets, while the other one will shoot the next three. All ranged weapons are allowed. You will be judged by me on accuracy and time taken."
"And I will be judging." Apollo piped in, cheerful as ever. When did he get here?
"Okay." Artemis rolled her eyes, before she turned serious. "Atlanta will be shooting for the Hunters."
Said Hunter came forward with pride, and puffed out her chest, before glaring at the assembled boys with hatred, trying to look intimidating.
Hound grunted something inaudible and stepped forward.
"Assume your stance. Take out your weapons." Apollo dictated, raising his hand like a signal.
Atlanta got into her stance, which was perfect. An arrow was already notched on her bow, targeted in line with the bullseye. Hound grunted again, and whipped out two shotguns. However, he did not assume any position, instead, his arms were limp by his sides, and the muzzles were pointed at the ground.
Atlanta smirked at his overconfidence. Even if he could aim as well as her, he was so fat he would not be able to move as quickly as her.
"Fire!" Apollo shouted, bringing his hand down.
Atlanta slipped into tunnel vision. The entire world faded around her and the targets were the only things around.
Three twangs of the bow, three bullseyes. Atlanta looked once at the targets, before she looked back at Apollo, waiting for his verdict. Despite him being male, she trusted Apollo as a judge, primarily because he was physically incapable of lying.
Apollo inspected the six targets closely, and looked back with an expression of shock. Everybody held their breath, leaning forward, anticipating his verdict. Apollo took in a deep breath, before speaking, "Atlanta- 3 bullseyes in 2 seconds." Atlanta swelled with pride. Nobody could best this. Apollo continued, "Hound- 3 bullseyes in 1 second." He let out a breath.
"What!" Atlanta shouted in outrage, looking over at Hound's smug face, and his glowing cigar. However, she was nothing compared to Artemis. Artemis' shout shook Olympus to its very core. "Impossible!"
She stomped over to the targets, shoving Apollo aside. Apollo stumbled back as she examined the targets closely, scrutinising every bit. She turned back pale, as if she had seen a ghost. "Hound has won." She spoke in a small voice, before continuing this time in a louder tone. "Doesn't matter. The next round, will be over at those six targets." She pointed at the next bunch, before continuing, "This time, it is knife-throwing. Three throws each. Phoebe will be throwing for the Hunt."
"Come on." Drift came forward, three knives in his hand already.
Phoebe smirked as she stepped up to stand beside the male.
Apollo shouted again, "Take your positions!"
Both participants got into a good position to throw, with their knees bent. Both of them had 3 knives clutched in their right hand. While Phoebe trained her eyes on the bullseye, Drift closed them altogether, instead relying on his other senses.
From the stands, Soundwave played another recording. "Whatever happens, don't use your special abilities." It was Percy again.
Drift sighed, and shifted. He opened his eyes, and visibly tensed. Artemis could see he was uncomfortable and nervous.
"Throw!" Apollo waved his hand, and immediately, the six knives were flying towards their targets. Both of them took 1 second for the throw, but while Phoebe scored three bullseyes, which was practically impossible, Drift got only two.
Apollo did not need to inspect them closely to announce the winner. "Phoebe wins!"
The Hunter grinned smugly at Drift, who returned to the stands, his head hanging low.
"Sorry guys. I let you down."
Surprisingly, it was Hound who comforted him. Laying a hand on the smaller boy's shoulder, he said, "Meh, nevermind. We will have a tie-breaker."
At that moment, Artemis knew that each would die for the other, no matter how much they argued. She smiled unconsciously, before Apollo started, "For the tiebreaker, we will have a spar. "
Artemis opened her mouth to select her combatant, but was cut off by the screams and shouts outside. The Hunters rushed out to see what was happening followed by the eight boys and Apollo.
The sky darkened, and Apollo's chariot was no longer visible. The winds picked up, blowing and buffeting the trees furiously. All nymphs had disappeared. The marketplace was deserted, and whoever remained, scurried for shelter at the nearest building. However, surprisingly, Zeus did nothing.
On looking up, they were met by a most curious sight. A battleship, purple in colour, and dangerous looking, was hovering right above Olympus. There were several spikes which jutted out of the main body, and Artemis could see that there were men manning the machine guns on deck.
The Nemesis
From behind the Hunters, Ironhide groaned. On Artemis shooting him a questioning look, he explained, "That." He pointed towards the ship. "Is our battleship. Apparently, Percy wanted to make a grand entrance."
At that, everybody groaned. Olympus really did not need a second Drama Queen.
Several ropes were slid down, and soldiers, wearing a variety of clothes, and brandishing a variety of weapons, shimmied down. Some omitted that altogether, and jumped directly from the ship, creating small craters where they landed, and sending up clouds of dust.
In the end, Artemis could see Percy standing alone at the exit, and he shouted, "Here I come! WOOOOOOHOOOOO!"
He dived, completely ignoring the ropes, and Artemis and Thalia screamed involuntarily.
Nevertheless, Percy landed safely, grunting as he bent his knees to absorb the impact. He straightened, dusting off his shirt, before he snapped his fingers. Everything went to normal, the wind speed slowed, and the ship disappeared. The Hunters were having trouble picking their jaws from the floor as his group members, who had landed at different parts of Olympus, gathered around him. His group was as large as the Hunt, if not larger.
Apollo had gone off somewhere, and the eight men Percy had sent ahead, went to join their master.
Percy spread his arms dramatically, facing Artemis and her Hunters. "The Transformers greet you with open arms!" He grinned, and bowed, every single Transformer following suit.
Kate, a daughter of Demeter, snorted. "What kind of name is that?"
Percy stretched again, and said. "So, how did you see the Nemesis?" He grinned.
Artemis took some time to register that he was talking about his battleship. She nodded numbly.
Thunder rolled across the sky, jolting them out of their thoughts, and signalling the beginning of the Council Meeting.
The two large groups made their way to the Throne Room, and waited for the other Gods to flash in, and the Campers to arrive.
After just a few minutes, they were all there, Aphrodite being the last to arrive. Everybody was in attendance- satyrs, nymphs and naiads, dryads, mermen, minor and major Gods, Romans, Greeks, Amazons, Hunters and Transformers. The throne room, despite its size, was packed. The demigods sat on the steps leading up to their parent's thrones, while the Amazons sat at the foot of Hera's throne. The Hunters sat by Artemis' throne. Some of the Transformers lounged on the armrests of Perseus' one, some perched on the back of the throne, while the more civilised sat on the steps.
There were several snorts and sneers among the Hunters, seeing their antics.
Zeus boomed, "First of all, let me declare the reason for all of you being assembled here." He gestured around the throne room. "We are at war, again, and this time, the Oracle cannot give a prophecy, due to some reason."
Rachel, who sat by Hestia, nodded her head in confirmation.
Zeus continued, "Does anybody have an idea as to who the enemy is?"
Everybody expected Athena to raise her hand, but surprisingly, it was Percy who answered. He stood up, pacing up and down the length of the throne room in agitation, and spoke rapidly. "The enemy is... one of the Giants, again. After the Second Gigantomachy, I killed Gaea, and she was too weak to live alone. She fused her essence with Tartarus, to form a new deity. This new Giant is my bane. He is called Unicron."
At this, a son of Aphrodite, no older than eight, asked, "Unicorn?"
Percy sighed. "No, Unicron. He is called so because he can exist at any one universe at a given point of time, while we, all of us, can exist in several universes. All of them, different." He returned to his throne.
After his explanation, Zeus resumed. "We have held this meeting, as a sort of census. It was suggested by Athena," He gave a grateful nod towards the Goddess, "That we call every single demigod and god, and have them individually swear an oath of loyalty to Olympus. This will prevent spies from infiltrating our ranks, like the last two wars."
Every Council member nodded in approval at the idea, and Athena beamed with pride. Zeus continued, "Any other questions, before we start?"
"Is that Lord Perseus' group?" A son of Hephaestus spoke up. Percy just gave him a nod in answer.
Artemis raised her hand. "Why is Perseus not using Anaklusmos?"
Percy rolled his eyes. "Anaklusmos shattered when I was fighting with Orion, remember?"
"Hephaestus could have reforged it."
"It would not remain Anaklusmos then." Both Artemis and Hephaestus frowned, the latter because his forging skills had been insulted. Percy continued, "Instead, I had Hephaestus melt the bronze pieces, and forge me this excellent prosthetic arm. Now, Anaklusmos is literally a part of me." He raised his sleeve to show that where his left arm should be, there was a metallic bronze arm, with gears whirring. Everyone struggled to hold in gasps, as Hephaestus beamed at Percy praising him.
"When did that happen, son?" Poseidon asked worriedly.
"I was ambushed by Atlas, Krios, Koios, Oceanus, Poryphyrion, and Polybotes." Gasps again. "I sent them to Tartarus to reform, but lost this in the process." Percy raised his left arm again.
Zeus coughed, trying to change the subject. "I see that many of your subjects, have very out of place limbs." He commented.
Percy's expression darkened. "I was abused by my stepfather till I was twelve." Cue the gasps, Hestia, Poseidon, Artemis and Thalia being loudest. They could never guess that their cheerful hero had an abusive childhood. "Several of my boys have had similar experiences. Shockwave's mum cut his arm off because he stole a cookie. Jazz has to keep playing music because it keeps the whispers away. Hound carries so many weapons on his body for protection. Bombshell's constant explosion keeps his mind from considering suicide. Soundwave, my right-hand man, is my nephew." He gestures to the sunglass-wearing boy. "Yes, Dad, he is a son of Triton, which makes him your grandson. Like all sons of the sea, he has green eyes. His mum said he looked too much like his dad, whom she missed, so she poured molten lead into his eyes, and had his larynx removed. He was blind and dumb when I found him. Mixmaster. .."
"Stop! I have heard enough!" Hestia screamed at Percy, who rubbed his head sheepishly. The Hunters were practically sinking into the ground, because they always thought that males were the pigs, but here, they had proof that women were not any better.
"And you didn't heal them?" Artemis questioned. She was also feeling queasy at the horrible deeds those women had done to their own children.
"Yes. Of course, I healed them. Soundwave can see and speak perfectly, and everyone else can become healthy again if they approached me. I just let them voluntarily keep those scars as tokens, proof that they have survived the world's harsh trials."
Artemis looked down. Zeus laughed uncomfortably again.
"I have come to a decision, and it is non-negotiable." He stood up. "The Transformers and the Hunters will stay and train together in the months leading to the war." Artemis and Percy looked at each other, and gave a grudging nod to their counterpart, though inside Artemis was jumping up and down in happiness, and squealing like a schoolgirl who got to kiss their crush. The Hunters also nodded towards them, showing their appreciation. After, all, this group was as good as them, and their members had suffered as much as they had, if not more.
"Now, if we have done with everyone's questions, let's start the census!" Zeus declared.
"Hey, Percy..." Aphrodite purred seductively. For some reason, it made Artemis' heart clench in anger and jealousy. "I noticed that your group uses code names." Everyone gasped at the fact that Aphrodite could pick up such things, but she ignored them. "What's yours?"
Every God leaned forward in anticipation. "Hot Rod," Percy said. "My name's Hot Rod."
"Does that have any hidden meaning?" Aphrodite wiggled her eyebrows. Although Artemis would never admit it, she was wondering the same thing.
"It means that I'm really fast, and leave a hot track on the road." Aphrodite visibly deflated at his explanation, and Artemis sighed internally in relief.
(Anyway, I'm gonna skip the Camps, yadda yadda, and tell you only which of the Transformers I'm including. FYI, the Transformers and the Hunters have an almost equal number of members.)

After the meeting was over, the gods flashed away to whatever they were doing. Hera took the Amazons back, Apollo took the Romans to Camp Jupiter, while Hermes took the Greeks back to Camp Half-Blood.
Artemis approached Percy. "I'm sorry." She said softly, and Percy looked up. He smiled, before he jumped off his throne, and stretched. Artemis tried not to ogle his covered chest, or the way his muscles flexed involuntarily.
"You and me, huh. The first line of defence for Olympus." Artemis looked up to see Percy grinning at her. She smiled back, before her expression turned sinister. "The Hunters and the Transformers were having a competition earlier. Hound defeated Atlanta in Round 1, Phoebe defeated Drift in Round 2, and now the tiebreaker breaker awaits. I will be fighting you."
Percy grinned, liking the idea of a fight.
"Come on, I will take you all on." The two Gods shrunk to their human sizes, and strode out of the Throne Room. On Ambrosia Lane, the stretch of road before their palaces had been converted into a greeting spot for the Transformers and the Hunters.
Each boy told the girl about their hardships, and vice-versa. They would be sombre for a moment, before they would clap each other on the back, and say that that was in the past.
The two Gods smiled at their interaction.
"Come on, people! To base!" Everybody turned at Artemis' voice. Artemis then clapped her hands, as if a thought had just occurred to her, and she whirled around to face Percy.
"To whose base will we be going?"
"Ours. And we will not flash there. We will race. No, not the Hunters. The Transformers will race amongst ourselves. The Hunters can ride."
When Artemis threw him a questioning look, he nodded towards Optimus. Said Transformer stepped forward, and clapped his hands. His face contorted for a moment in concentration, before he melted into the twenty- seven-foot-tall form of Optimus Prime, whom she had seen at the rogue demigods fiasco. The Hunters gasped and stepped back with wide eyes.
Optimus transformed into his blue and red truck. The Hunters' eyes widened. Although they had seen it before, seeing it close-up was absolutely different.
Immediately following his example, all Transformers shifted into their vehicle ones. There were all sorts of cars, planes, trains, even animals and insects. The Hunters trailed into their vehicle of choice, till there was no one left in the street but Artemis, and Thalia. The two turned around to see that Percy had disappeared, instead, in his place was an all too familiar black and orange Lamborghini Centenario. However, she decided not to say anything.
Artemis scowled at their familiar position. Artemis was back in the driver's seat while Thalia rode shotgun.
Artemis laid her hand on the steering wheel, but Percy's voice sounded from the radio. Strangely, he had developed a pronounced French accent. "Please refrain from touching the steering wheel. Oh, and I hate the French accent."
Artemis giggled.
"Let's rock n' roll!" All the assembled vehicles sped off, navigating expertly through the streets of Olympus, while the planes and helicopters zoomed off into the clouds.
Artemis half expected Percy to head for the elevators, or flash away. Imagine her surprise when he drove off the edge of Olympus. Artemis screamed, followed by Thalia. Her scream was echoed by several other female voices, which told Artemis that the others had gone off the edge of Olympus as well.
Percy laughed, his voice resonating through the car's interior. "Don't worry, everything's alright."
Nobody was reassured, nor did they stop screaming.
