Chapter 34
Author's Note : Rachel was able to locate Lucas with the help from the men she met at the warehouse. They were some of the questionable people her and Lucas used to be involved with. Review!
By the time Lucas and Jack got upstairs into the entryway of the home. There was a pair of police officers staring back at them.
"I'm looking for my friend Rachel Gatina." Lucas said.
"I want that criminal arrested! He murdered my husband!" Victoria yelled pointing to Jack.
The other officer looked to Jack and got out his pair of handcuffs.
Lucas stepped in front of him. "I am the witness. Who is more then willing to testify against Victoria Davis. The killing was done in self defense." He stated.
"Ted and Victoria had my brother killed! I heard them talking about it!" Jack exclaimed.
"Alright we will discuss this back at the police station." The first officer said.
"I'm not leaving here without is she.? Why is no one answering that question." Lucas stated.
"She's been dealt with. There is nothing more you need to know." Victoria replied. As she was lead out of the home in handcuffs.
Those words made a large ball of uncertainty and fear grow in his stomach.
"Red hair. brown eyes. Neither of you saw her when you got here.?" Lucas asked. Looking to the remaining officer.
"No there was only Mrs. Davis. I need you and the boy to follow us to the police station." The officer said.
"Okay we'll do that." Lucas replied.
Awhile Later
The Police station
After making their official statements. Both Lucas and Jack were free to go. All Lucas wanted was to go home. He didn't have any answers about what became of Rachel. But before he left he wanted to make sure Jack had a safe place to be.
When they were back outside Lucas focused his gaze on the young man.
"Do you have a place you can stay until you find something more permant.?" Lucas asked.
"I'll figure it out. I caused you enough trouble. Don't you think.? Thanks for coming to my defense with the cops. I appreciate it. You should go home to you're family." Jack said.
