The sun was high in the air on a new day, but this wasn't a quiet day like the others, since in less than 24 hours, Shredder, turned into an airbender, would show up in Republic City with all his army to finish everything and everyone.

As soon as the sun came up, the Avatar team and the turtles separated to ask for help from certain 'people', while the rest took care of the final touches to the preparation of the troops. At this point, Korra and Leo were riding Naga as they ran to the Kuvira prison.

"Korra, it's not that I'm doubting you, but are you sure she'll agree to help us?" Leo asked.

"No, but there's nothing wrong with trying." said Korra.

"Well, whatever happens, I'll be there for you." Leo said with a smile that Korra returned.

A few minutes later, the duo arrived at a mountain with a huge gate and two guards on either side.

"I'm here to see Kuvira." said Korra as she stepped off the polar bear dog with Leo.

"Of course, Avatar Korra, but… who is the spirit?" asked a guard pointing to Leo, who was surprised to see how easy it was for people in that world to consider them spirits.

"He's Leonardo. He's coming with me." Korra said, saying his full name as a sign that this was a very serious matter.

The guards didn't question the fact that a spirit accompanied the Avatar and opened the door, allowing both of them to enter.

As they walked down a flight of stairs illuminated by luminescent rocks, one thing popped into Leo's mind.

"Hey, isn't Kuvira a earth and metalbender? Why is she locked up on a mountain?" Leo asked, seeing it as odd that a bender like her should be so close to her element.

"At first it was planned to lock her in a boat in the middle of the ocean or in a wooden cage suspended in the air, but I convinced them that it wasn't necessary as she was surrendered and showed no signs of wanting to escape. Even if she wanted to escape, she would have done so long ago." explained Korra.

"It makes sense." said Leo understanding the explanation and somewhat amazed at how considerate the Avatar was to her despite what she did.

Finally, they reached the top of the flight of stairs and stood in front of a couple of doors.

Korra took a deep breath, preparing to see a person she hadn't seen in weeks and who was now going to ask her for help in fighting an army. Feeling ready, she opened the door, allowing both of them to see the inside of the cell.

More than a cell, it looked like a temple hall. The luminescent rocks illuminated the place and there was enough space to keep many people, even some vehicles. In the center of that room, sitting on her knees and chained to the floor, was the woman who was once a friend to the Avatar and to many, a woman who at first acted for the good of the world, but then acted for her own ends, a woman who could make a difference in the course of the coming war.

Kuvira opened her eyes to the sound of doors closing behind the newcomers.

"Hello, Kuvira." Korra said earnestly.

"I always knew you would be my first visitor." said Kuvira.

"Me too." said Korra as she and Leo approached the prisoner.

"Although I must admit... I didn't expect you to come with me." began Kuvira before looking at Leo. "Least of all a spirit."

"I am not a spirit." said Leo speaking for the first time in front of her.

Kuvira arched one eyebrow in confusion.

"Oh, no? Then what are you?" Kuvira asked.

"It's a long story." said Korra.

"Go ahead. I have all the time in the world." said Kuvira with interest in that story.

"Yes, but we don't." said Leo.

For the next half hour, they told Kuvira a summarized version of the events, as they had no time to waste. They told him about the subject of mutants, other worlds, the Kraang, the Foot and of course Shredder and his plan to destroy Republic City and everyone in the area.

In all that time, Kuvira couldn't help but be surprised by all that they were telling him.

"Wow, it hasn't been a month since I've been here and you're already in big trouble." said Kuvira.

"Right. What are you going to tell us." Leo said.

"I doubt very much that you came here just to tell me that." said Kuvira, suspecting her intentions.

"No. We came here to ask for your help." said Korra.

"My help?" asked Kuvira.

"We want you to help us face Shredder and his troops." said Leo.

Kuvira remained silent for a few seconds until she transformed her silence into laughter.

"Are you kidding me?" asked Kuvira stopping her fit of laughter. "Are you asking ME to help YOU in a war against a maniac who has managed to gain the power to bend the air?"

"I know it sounds crazy, but we wouldn't ask you if we didn't think you could help us." said Korra.

"And in the event that you agree, President Zhu Li signed a permit to temporarily release you." said Leo.

Kuvira recovered her composure and gave them a serious expression, while thinking about the offer.

"You can say no if you want to, but I know that deep inside you, you care about people. Even if your past methods weren't right, you did it for the good of all." Korra said.

"That's why you gave up and gave yourself up. To pay for the bad things you did to people." said Leo.

She wasn't going to say it, but they were right. During her time as the Great Unifier, she hurt a lot of people.

Suyin and her family, who accepted her as one of them and then locked them up as criminals; Baatar Jr., the man she loved and who betrayed her shamelessly; Varrick and Bolin, two men who offered their services believing they were doing good, only to treat them as slaves and threaten them; and, above all, Asami, who suffered the most because she was the one who killed her father.

She wished she could forget all the bad she did to those people, but she knew she could never do that and hoped that by staying locked up she could ease the pain she caused.

Now those two had come to offer her the opportunity that she really wanted to pay for her crimes in addition to being locked up in a prison forever. A woman leading an army to invade the city was going to help them fight a man leading an army to destroy the city. She almost felt like laughing because of the irony of the situation.

"It's okay. I agree to help you." said Kuvira, bringing a smile to the Avatar and the mutant turtle.

"You won't regret it." said Leo.

"But first, there's something you need to know." said Korra.

"About what?" asked Kuvira curious as to what she still needed to know.

"About Hakan." Korra said.

"Hakan? what about him?" Kuvira asked, recalling one of her generals.

"Did you know that he and his troops never surrendered?" asked Korra.

Kuvira was surprised when she heard this information, but then put the surprise aside to focus on the conversation.

"No, but I always had the feeling that not everyone would agree with my last order." said Kuvira.

"Not only that. Hakan had formed a group with his troops called 'Kuvira Forever'." Leo began by surprising the prisoner by the name of her group. "Their goal was to kill Korra because they thought she forced you to surrender and that by killing her they would 'free' you." Leo said, quoting the last word.

"What?!" exclaimed Kuvira, rising from the floor in shock. "That's ridiculous! Nobody forced me! I agreed to surrender of my own free will!"

"That's what we told him, but he kept on doing it." said Korra.

"We managed to defeat him and lock him up with the rest of his troops, but during the Kraang attack, Hakan took advantage of the chaos to escape and that's when the situation got worse." Leo said.

"What do you mean?" asked Kuvira.

"Hakan allied himself with Shredder and will collaborate with them in the attack on Republic City." replied Korra.

"What? Why would he join that man?" asked Kuvira.

From what they told her in the summary about him, Shredder must have been the most evil and cruel person in history, she didn't understand how one of her men would ally with someone like him.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Hakan continued his ambition to kill Korra and have you become the Great Unifier again. When he learned of Shredder's power, he told him about the Avatar thinking that it would help him with that." said Leo.

"No wonder. Hakan is a good strategist. Whenever he sees an opportunity, he takes it, but this time he seems to have entered a field he will never leave." said Kuvira.

"That's why we think you're the only person who can try to reason with him." said Korra.

"And you're right. As I'm sure you've seen, Hakan only respects me. If I see him face to face, maybe I can convince him to surrender or fight on our side." said Kuvira.

"Good. Then let's not waste time. I will go and inform the guards of your release. Wait here." Korra said before turning around to leave the room.

"Where else would I be?" asked Kuvira, shaking the shackles that kept her chained. The next thing heard was the doors opening and closing as the Avatar left the room, leaving the prisoner and the mutant alone.

"She's a good friend, you know?" said Leo.

"Yes, I know." said Kuvira.

Meanwhile, back in Republic City, Mako and Raph were on their way to the city's spiritual portal.

Both saw that the wall they erected around it was guarded by earthbenders in case Shredder's troops dared to approach the area, as they didn't want to provoke the spirits' wrath again.

But this time, it was about going to the spiritual world to ask for help from the spirits. They didn't have much hope of getting it, as the spirits aren't very collaborative with humans in terms of fighting, but if they wanted to make a difference in the war, they would need all the help they could get.

The firebender and the mutant turtle stood in front of a section of the wall next to an earthbender, who, as soon as he heard of their intentions, opened a passage for them to reach the other side.

They continued their walk until they stood in front of the gate.

"I've seen this thing many times and I'm still impressed that it's a portal to another world." said Raph.

"Same here. I'm still not used to the idea of this city having its own spiritual portal." said Mako.

"So, is it just to walk through it and we'll be on the other side?" Raph asked.

"Yes. Why? Are you afraid?" Mako asked with a funny smile.

"No. I'm not afraid, okay?" said Raph, annoyed by the firebender's hint.

"If you say so. I'll see you on the other side." said Mako before taking a step towards the portal and through it.

Raph wasted no time and followed him, also through the portal to the spirit world.

When Raph passed by on the other side, he came across something that left him with his mouth open. In front of him was a totally different world than the one he had been in, even different from his own. Flowers covered the ground around him for miles, along with some trees and mountains.

If I had to describe it in one word, it would be amazing.

"Impressed, aren't you?" a question brought Raph out of his astonished state and he looked over to see Mako.

"I admit, it's pretty impressive." said Raph trying to play hard to get, but he couldn't fool anyone.

"OK." said Mako, accepting the 'answer' from his mutant friend.

"So... where are the spirits?" Raph asked, seeing that the area was completely deserted.

"I don't know. You usually see one or two around here." Mako said.

"Hello? Are there any spirits around?" Raph asked aloud with his hands on the sides of his mouth to act as a megaphone.

A few seconds passed and no one answered his call.

"Are they gone?" asked Mako in confusion.

"Pfft. It seems to me that these spirits are no big deal." said Raph before looking aside, only to find an unfamiliar face.

Raph let out a scream as he jumped backwards, allowing him to see that the stranger was a floating creature with the body of a snake and the beak of a bird.

"Did you say something?" asked the dragon eel spirit.

Mako took Raph's side and bowed in respect, Raph, with no other option, imitated him.

"Honorable spirit, we have come to ask you something." said Mako.

The dragon eel spirit floated up in front of them both and glanced at the mutant.

"I am not surprised by the arrival of a human into this world, but I feel that you are neither a human nor a spirit. What exactly are you?" asked the dragon eel spirit.

"I am a mutant. A creature that's half human." said Raph, simplifying the term mutant.

"I see. So, you're like that human that I transformed that time." said the dragon eel spirit, remembering the human he attacked that time.

"I don't understand. Where are all the spirits?" asked Mako.

"As soon as we heard that the humans were going to enter another war, we decided to hide in our world." explained the dragon eel spirit.

"That's exactly what we were going to talk about. We've come to ask for your help." Mako said.

"Like the Avatar, you want to use the spirits as weapons in your wars." said the dragon eel spirit.

"No. We don't want to use you; we want you to help us." Mako said, trying to convince him.

"Like I told the Avatar, we spirits won't get involved in a war that doesn't concern us." said the dragon eel spirit.

"But if Shredder wins, you could be next. Don't you see?" asked Raph angrily because the spirit refused to cooperate.

The dragon eel spirit stood directly in front of the turtle's face.

"If you think that because you're a mutant I'll listen to you, you're very much mistaken. I'm doing this to protect my species." said the dragon eel spirit.

"Do you? Well, let me tell you something, you little bird." began Raph, surprising the spirit with the insult. "Where I come from, mutants aren't welcome among humans. There have been times when they got themselves into trouble that didn't concern me and my brothers, but we chose to intervene because we would rather die fighting for what is right than live in hiding like cowards."

An uncomfortable silence filled the place for a few seconds.

"That may be in your case, but not in mine. I have spoken." said the dragon eel spirit before he disappeared.

"Well. It went better than expected." said Mako.

"Yes, but equally worse." said Raph, still angry with the spirit.

"Don't be angry. We've done all we can." said Mako trying to calm him down.

"Anyway. We better get back." said Raph before they both turned around to cross the gate back into Republic City.

"I hope the others were luckier than we were." Mako said as they walked toward the gate.

"In the case of Korra and Leo it's very likely, but in the case of Asami and Donnie... that will depend on who they go to for help." said Raph.

This duo was in a Satomobile, with Asami driving, to the place of their possible ally. While Donnie looked at the abandoned streets they were walking, Asami, although focused on the road, couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if Kuvira agreed to help them.

She trusted Korra when she suggested her help in the war and knew that she wanted to pay for her crimes, but the thought of being by the side of the person who killed her father shortly after they tried to regain their lost relationship made her very nervous.

"Asami." called Donnie, realizing the engineer's condition.

"Huh?" asked Asami, stepping out of her train of thought and casting a faint glance at her co-pilot so as not to stray from the path.

"Is something bothering you?" Donnie asked in a worried tone.

"I'm fine. It's just..." began Asami trying to explain.

"You're thinking about Kuvira, aren't you?" Donnie asked.

"I know Korra has her reasons for trusting her, but I find it incredible that she still does after what she did." said Asami.

"Yes, my brothers and I were like that when Leo was seeing Karai in secret." Donnie said.

"Isn't that a good thing?" asked Asami, confused.

"At the time, we didn't know Karai was our sister and we all thought she was Shredder's daughter. Even though she was our enemy, Leo saw her often and that bothered us all." Donnie said.

"It must have been very complicated." said Asami.

"But just like that, it won't break the special bond you have with Korra. I can assure you." Donnie said with a smile that she gladly returned. "So, who are we going to see?" Donnie asked, changing the subject.

Asami's face got serious when she heard that. "To the Creeping Crystal Triad." Asami said seriously.

"Wait, you mean one of the most powerful criminal groups in Republic City?" Donnie asked, surprised by that. "Why are we going to ask them for help?"

"When Tokuga attacked the city, Korra and their leader, Jargala, decided to work together to stop him. She probably did it to get rid of the competition." explained Asami.

"And you think that with Shredder as a 'competition' she will help us, right?" asked Donnie understanding the engineer's idea.

"She helped us once, I think she could do it again. That's if we give her the right motivation." said Asami.

"I hope so." Donnie said, hoping that nothing bad would happen from dealing with a criminal organization.

Several minutes later, the Satomobile stopped in front of a building whose doors were guarded by a couple of guards.

Asami and Donnie stood in front of the guards who took up battle positions.

"Tell Jargala that Asami Sato wants to see her." said Asami.

The two guards left their positions, looked at each other before nodding, and one of them walked through the door while the other stayed to watch them.

"Uh, Asami. Out of curiosity, why are they called Creeping Crystal Triad." Donnie asked, taking advantage of the moment of waiting.

"They are named for jennamite, a mineral that, the moment it comes into contact with organic matter, grows and expands to cover its victim completely." said Asami.

"Fascinating. Remind me to look into that when this is all over." Donnie said, amazed at the existence of such a thing.

Just then, the other guard left the building and bowed his head to the door as a sign that they could pass. The guard guided both of them through the building, allowing them to see some of their members having fun or packing things for the evacuation. Finally, they arrived at a door which the guard graciously opened for them.

When they entered the room, the engineer and the mutant turtle saw that inside was a desk and sitting behind it was the leader of the Creeping Crystal Triad, Jargala Omo, who had a smile on her face.

"Asami Sato. I must admit I am surprised by your visit." said Jargala.

"I'm surprised too." said Asami.

"Well. Let's get straight to the point. I know you didn't come here just to say hello to an old friend." said Jargala, smiling and crossing her arms.

"After what you did to me, it's clear that I didn't." said Asami.

"Oh, come on, don't tell me you're still angry about that nice offer I made you?" asked Jargala.

"Did that 'offer' have anything to do with accepting a 'protection fee'?" Donnie asked, having a clear idea of what that offer was, as he had been confronted several times by the Purple Dragons.

Jargala looked away from the mutant turtle. "Who's your friend, by the way? I didn't know you had a pet spirit now." said Jargala.

"Pet?!" Donnie exclaimed in great offense.

"He's not a pet, he's my friend." said Asami angrily at the way she had spoken to him.

"It's okay. It's okay. I'm not one to judge." said Jargala, raising her arms in defense before lowering them. "Back to the subject, why did you come here?"

"We would like you to help us with a matter." said Asami.

"Let me guess, the war that is about to happen?" asked Jargala, leaving the engineer and the turtle a little surprised.

"How do you know?" Donnie asked.

"I have seen people being evacuated from the city. Nothing like this has happened since the Kuvira invasion attempt, but I have seen more forces gathered than before, which indicates that this isn't a simple invasion, but a war." said Jargala.

"She is right about that." Donnie said, seeing the logic of the criminal leader.

"Before I decide to make a decision, I want to know everything. The issue of confidentiality doesn't apply to me. I need all the details." Jargala said, showing for the first time since they came into serious expression.

The engineer and the mutant turtle looked at each other, deciding whether to tell the woman the truth or not, but in view of the situation, they had no choice but to accept it.

"I guess there's no other choice." said Asami.

For the next few minutes, they told Jargala about everything that had happened since the turtles appeared, although they had to sum it up quite a bit so as not to waste time.

Needless to say, Jargala couldn't help but be surprised to learn all this information.

"Wow, the situation certainly seems much worse than I thought." said Jargala.

"I know, that's why we are gathering all the people available to help and, even though I don't like it, I thought you would be one of them." said Asami.

"Oh, you flatter me, dear." said Jargala.

"So, what do you say? Will you help us?" Donnie asked.

Jargala paused for a moment to think.

"Normally, I wouldn't send my men to fight a man who possesses an army of metal men and monsters." began Jargala.

Donnie and Asami worried, thinking she wouldn't agree to help them.

"However, this could be very beneficial for everyone." Jargala said with a smile forming on her face.

"What do you mean?" asked Asami, not liking where the conversation might go.

"I will help you. But on two conditions. The first is simple, I only want to keep the territories of the other triads once this war is over." said Jargala.

"And the second?" Donnie asked.

"With all that you have told me, one thing in particular has caught my attention." said Jargala.

"If you're talking about the mutagen, you can forget about it." said Asami.

"Relax. I'm not interested in something that can turn my men into horrible, savage monsters." said Jargala before looking at the mutant turtle. "No offense."

"No offense." Donnie said, understanding the woman criminal.

"What interests me is the material of these creatures from the other dimension, what did you say their names were?" asked Jargala.

"Kraang." replied Asami.

"That's it." said Jargala, recalling the name.

"Do you want the technology of the Kraang? We can't do that, it's too dangerous." said Donnie.

"No. Interesting as it may seem, I know that if we were in possession of such technology, we would be the focus of many people. I'm talking about the metal their droids are made of." explained Jargala.

"You want the metal of the Kraang? Why?" asked Asami.

"Think about it, a very strong metal that even metalbenders can't bend. It would make excellent armor, don't you think?" asked Jargala before extending her arm to the engineer. "So, do we have a deal?"

Asami began to discuss accepting the offer. The conditions weren't entirely bad. The first one could be easily solved while, with the second one, there was nothing wrong in giving them some metal from a race of hostile beings.

She could say that she was being kind to them by dictating those conditions. Besides, they didn't have much time left, and being Shredder an airbender, they would need all the help they could get, even if most of them didn't like some of that help. As is the case with Kuvira.

Without saying a word, Asami shook hands with Jargala as a sign of acceptance. Donnie said nothing and accepted the engineer's decision.

"Wise decision." said Jargala.

"I just hope you don't break the deal." said Asami.

"What do you take me for? If the Creeping Crystal Triad knows anything, it's that we don't break a deal. As long as the other side doesn't either." Jargala said with a smile.

Donnie was a little nervous when he heard the last part. He just hoped this alliance wouldn't hit them in the face later on.

The sun was beginning to set, the last preparations for the war were being made. All that remained was to wait for the last part of the reinforcements.

Bolin, Mikey, Tenzin, and their children were standing in an area waiting for some people to arrive.

"Then, will Tenzin's brothers come too?" Mikey asked Jinora.

"Yes, Aunt Kya is an expert waterbender and Uncle Bumi is also an airbender" explained Jinora.

"Also, he used to be a United Forces officer and a non-bender." said Ikki.

"Really, how did he become an airbender?" Mikey asked.

"When Korra left the spiritual portals open, several random people gained the ability to bend the air and Uncle Bumi was one of them." Jinora said.

"Wow, talk about coincidences in life." Mikey mentioned.

"There they are." said Bolin excitedly pointing to the sky.

They all raised their heads to see a flying bison approaching from the sky and above it four people could be seen, who were waving to the group below.

The bison ended up landing in front of them, allowing her passengers to come ashore.

"Opal!" shouted Bolin with joy as he ran towards her.

"Bolin!" exclaimed Opal with equal joy before receiving a hug from her boyfriend.

"You don't know how much I missed you." said Bolin.

"And I miss you." said Opal before noticing Mikey out of the corner of her eye. "Hey, Bolin, who's that?"

Bolin noticed who she was referring to and remembered the situation. "Oh, right. Opal, this is my friend, Mikey. Mikey, this is my girlfriend, Opal." said Bolin.

"Hello." said Mikey. "Dude, you weren't lying when you said she was beautiful." whispered Mikey with a funny smile.

"Mikey." said Bolin, blushing with shame.

Opal blushed a little before laughing slightly at the fact that those two were such good friends.

"I'm sorry you got caught up in all this." Jinora said to her boyfriend.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I'm an airbender and my duty is to help people." said Kai.

"Especially if it's his girlfriend." Ikki whispered to Meelo before the two shared a slight laugh.

It made the airbender couple blush and glowered at them.

"I'm glad you made it in time." Tenzin told his siblings.

"We came as soon as our mother told us about the impending threat." Kya said.

"What exactly is going on?" Bumi.

"We'll explain it to you on the way to City Hall. We don't have much time." Tenzin said before the group walked to their destination.

Along the way, they told the newcomers about the situation as best they could, as it was not going to be a very long walk.

"So, this crazy Shredder wants to destroy the whole city and kill Korra to make the new Avatar his weapon?" asked Bumi surprised by the information.

"That's horrible. How can someone so evil exist?" asked Kya.

"We ask ourselves that question every day." said Mikey.

"Just the thought of someone like him becoming an airbender reminds me of Zaheer." said Opal, recalling the Red Lotus attack.

"Yes, only he looks like a simple thief compared to that guy." said Kai.

"Hey. Don't worry. They may have an army of foot-bots that are programmed to adapt and a group of mutants that are more powerful than two benders combined." began Bolin.

"You're not helping, you know?" asked Meelo.

"But... we also have an army of benders and non-benders of all the elements. Plus, a couple of reinforcements." said Bolin.

"Really?" asked Opal with a smile on her face. "That's great. Who are those reinforcements?"

Bolin and Mikey paused as they looked at each other's nervous faces.

"What's going on?" asked Opal with a raised eyebrow.

"Let's say there's someone I don't think you like." said Bolin with a nervous smile.

"But it's the thought that counts, right?" asked Mikey with a nervous smile.

Opal gave them a piercing glance. "WHO. IS. IT?" asked Opal, demanding answers immediately.

The night was getting closer and closer, and at that moment, Korra and Leo arrived at City Hall with one more passenger.

When Kuvira got off the Naga she was stumbling around a bit.

"How are you able to stay in it for so long?" Kuvira asked, regaining her balance.

"You get used to it over time." said Korra.

"And riding a polar bear dog isn't the weirdest thing I've ever done." said Leo.

They walked to the building, but before they got through the door, they stopped.

"I want you to know that even though I trusted you on this issue, if you do anything to hurt my friends, I will stop you myself." Korra said.

"I understand." said Kuvira.

Once inside, they walked through the corridors until they came across a familiar duo.

"Mako." Korra said, drawing the firebender's attention. "How did it go with the spirits?"

"They refused. Sorry." said Mako.

"It doesn't matter, you did what you could." said Korra trying to comfort him.

That's when Raph noticed the new presence.

"So, you're the crazy one on earth, right?" Raph asked.

"Raph." said Leo scolding his brother.

"It's okay. I've been called worse things." said Kuvira.

"Yeah. Well, know that if you go back to your crazy state, I'll beat you back to your cell." Raph said.

"Do you know anything about Asami and Donnie?" Leo asked, changing the subject.

"No, but I think they'll be here soon." said Mako.

Just then, the doors to the hallway opened, allowing them to see those mentioned.

Korra smiled at the sight of her girlfriend, but that smile faded when she noticed a certain woman walking with them.

"What is she doing here?" Korra asked, pointing to the gangster.

"Wow. It's good to see you too, Avatar." said Jargala.

"I brought her." said Asami.

"Wait, when you talked about a possible ally, were you referring to her?" asked Korra.

"Hey, Donnie, who is that woman?" Leo asked.

"It's Jargala Omo, the leader of the Creeping Crystal Triad." Donnie responded.

"What, did you bring a criminal to help us?" asked Raph, surprised by that.

"Believe me, I don't believe it either. But desperate situations require desperate measures." Donnie said.

"Do you really think we can trust her?" asked Korra.

"You should be the last person to say that." said Asami before fixing her glaring eyes on the metalbender and approaching her. "I'll tell you one thing. I've only accepted this because the situation requires it, but if I know of anything you do to my girlfriend or anyone else, I'll make sure you go back to your cell."

After that, Asami walked away from everyone, slamming the door.

"Wow. What a soap opera." Jargala mentioned.

"Well. At least it can't get any worse." Donnie said.

Unfortunately, as a joke of the universe, the entrance doors to the corridor burst open.

"SO, IT'S TRUE!" Those present turned to see Opal walking angrily toward the metalbender. "Of all the people they could bring in for this, it had to be you! If it weren't for what's happening, I'd have you arrested right now, but if I see any evil acts on your part..."

"Will you lock me up personally? Get in line." Kuvira said without being bothered by the airbender's state of rage.

Opal let out a moan of anger and frustration before leaving the same way as the engineer, closing the door in the same way.

"I'm sorry, guys. I tried to stop her." said Bolin, arriving on the scene with Mikey. Soon after, he noticed some familiar faces. "Uh... Hi. It's been a while, hasn't it?" asked Bolin nervously.

Both the metalbender and the mafia master looked at each other with a look that said 'Really?'

"Dudes, who's the other one?" Mikey asked.

"The leader of a crime group, for short." said Leo.

"Wow, dude. A former enemy and a criminal. Quite an alliance, isn't it?" asked Mikey.

"As you said before, this situation calls for it." said Donnie.

"Ha. Can you imagine if something were to happen that would force us to ally ourselves with Shredder?" asked Mikey, finding it amusing.

"The day that happens, the Earth will be destroyed." said Raph.

"Raph, don't talk nonsense. That only happens in cartoons." said Donnie.

"Let's not waste any more time. We have to prepare ourselves." said Leo.

After that 'little' reunion, most of them left to call the others for one last meeting. Meanwhile, Kuvira asked to change clothes and clean up a bit and Karai, who was passing by at the time, offered to accompany her (and keep an eye on her).

At this point, Kuvira was in the bathroom putting on her finishing touches by looking at herself in the mirror, with Karai behind her leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.

"I'm sorry you didn't get a good reception." said Karai.

"It's all right. In fact, I was expecting some bump or spit. It went better than I thought." Kuvira said.

"They have told me the things you have done and let me tell you that they have their reasons." Karai said.

"I'm not the same person I was before, I've changed." said Kuvira turning to face the kunoichi.

"I know. Believe me. You aren't the only one of us who has made mistakes that one regrets and hurts others, but you can be sure that, in time, you will be forgiven." said Karai.

"I don't expect that day to come soon." said Kuvira.

Meanwhile, in an abandoned warehouse in New York City, in the middle of the night, there were Rahzar, Fishface, Tiger Claw, Bebop, Rocksteady, Hakan (although you couldn't see his new look) and hundreds of foot-bots, all lined up to go through the gate in the direction of Republic City.

"How long do you think they'll take?" asked Fishface.

"Patience, Xever. This is a very complicated operation." said Tiger Claw.

"He's right. After all, getting control of the air with that method isn't like putting on a crown." Hakan said.

"By the way, Hakan. Let me tell you, I love your new look." said Bebop.

"Dah. It fits you like a glove." Rocksteady said with one thumb up.

"Thank you." Hakan said.

At that moment, the warehouse doors opened, allowing Stockman and Shredder to enter, looking like they always do.

"How did the operation go, master? Did it work?" Rahzar asked.

Instead of answering, Shredder extended the claws of his gauntlet and made a cutting motion to the right. This caused a wave of cutting wind to be sent rapidly into a pair of boxes that were destroyed on impact.

All organic beings present were amazed at this.

"Does this answer your question?" Shredder asked, retracting his claws.

"Forgive me for azzzzking again, but... how do you feel?" asked Stockman.

"I feel better than I have ever felt in my life. With this power, I will annihilate my enemies in ways I couldn't do before." said Shredder, clenching his fist in his face.

Everyone, except Hakan, smiled at the success of the operation and the new power of their master.

"Master, everything is ready." said Tiger Claw.

"Excellent. Then, let's leave." said Shredder.

A huge pink triangular portal opened in front of everyone. Shredder was the first to cross it, followed by his subordinates, Hakan and the army of foot-bots.

Later in the evening, everyone gathered in the main hall to talk about the preparations for the war that would soon come. Of course, there were some hostile looks from half of the present leaders towards Kuvira, which was still not bothered by it.

"Very well. The plan is as follows: Following the route of the Foot's base, Shredder and his troops will attack from this point." Splinter began by pointing to a spot on the map. "The moment they set foot in the city, the United Forces will enter combat, attacking them by surprise. That will be our signal to go into action. For those of you who have just arrived, the foot-bots are unemotional machines, so don't hesitate to destroy them completely. If you come across any of their mutant troops, don't underestimate them, they can be stronger and more skilled than you can imagine. However, the truly dangerous thing will be Shredder. If Stockman's experiment has proved to be a success, he will be an airbender, which makes him much more dangerous. If you see him, don't engage in combat with him, but go as far away as you can."

Everyone nodded at the mutant rodent's instructions.

At that moment, a beep sounded from Donnie's T-Phone. Looking at the screen, he could see through the spy cockroach's camera that the enemy was moving. He gestured for Leo to see it too.

"It's time." Leo said.

"Listen to me well. This could be the biggest battle of our lives, but even though our goal is to win it, I would like to ask you for something..." began Korra, drawing everyone's attention. "Just be careful you don't die and try to come back."

Most people gave the Avatar smiles of reassurance along with a nod.

After that, everyone started to move.

At the temporary base of the Foot located in the cave, a portal opened and through its Shredder and his mutant subordinates went first, along with the general.

They all turned their gaze to Republic City.

"I hate to admit it, but the city looks beautiful." said Fishface.

"Yes, it's too bad we have to destroy it." said Rahzar.

"What do we do with the spiritual portal, master?" asked Tiger Claw referring to the column of light.

"If I were you, I'd be careful. There was once an officer of the Fire Nation who attacked the spirits and is said to be serving an eternal punishment in their world." said Hakan.

"I am not interested in the spirits or their world. Send a few foot-bots to watch over him. If they find someone trying to escape through that portal, have him liquidated." Shredder said.

Soon after, they were at the front of the city with all their troops behind them and the sun rising on the horizon

"Advance the first platoon!" Tiger Claw ordered.

Before the order of the mutant tiger. A small group of foot-bots jumped forward. However, soon after they entered the city, several shots came out from everywhere and rock spikes emerged from the ground like mines. All these attacks neutralized part of the foot-bot platoon. But that wasn't all, as soon after, a couple of Mecca tanks came out of some hiding places and started fighting the remaining enemies.

All this didn't go unnoticed by the main group of the Foot. Shredder cast a glaring glance as he pulled out his claws.

"Kill them all." Shredder said.

As soon as he heard that, all the Foot's forces threw themselves into battle to wipe out anyone they found in their path.

On the other side of the city, there were all the allied troops, preparing for battle. The troops were formed by the turtles, the Mutanimals, Splinter, Karai, April, Casey, Team Avatar, Tenzin, their children, Lin, Tonraq, Opal, Kai, Bumi, Kya, Kuvira, Jargala and many benders and non-benders.

They waited patiently until they heard a radio signal. That was enough to know that the war had begun.

"EVERYONE, GET ON…!" Leo shouted about giving the order to attack.

"Wait!" said Mikey interrupting his brother, who looked at him demanding an explanation. "I've always wanted to say a certain phrase in a scene where an army of heroes faces an army of villains."

I read a sigh of frustration when I saw that even though they were in a serious situation, Mikey was still Mikey. All he could do was nod in acceptance, earning a toothy smile from the orange-clad turtle.

"DUDES AND DUDETTES...!" Mikey began by putting himself at the center of the allied army. "BOOYAKASHA!"

Ignoring the stupid call of the mutant turtle, everyone rushed to fight the enemy army.

The sun had fully risen, signaling the beginning of a new day, the beginning of a war.

AN: He looked at it and I don't believe it. I have written an even longer chapter. Although I'm sure I'll write a much longer chapter someday, like 20,000 words or so. You certainly didn't expect the appearance of certain characters from the Avatar universe. I challenge you to find out the reference at the end of the chapter. Prepare yourself for the greatest battle of all. Who will win? What will happen? Wait and you will know.
