Patronus Maximus

Chapter XLVIII: Magical Comeback

"Fou!"

"What does that mean?!"

"Kuroka, be nice." The new mother pouted annoyingly as the creature rubbed affectionately against Lara's head. It looked to be squirrel-like physically, but with shaggy and fluffy very light blue bordering pink fur. A bow tied off a small cloak around its shoulders. The ears were long like a rabbit and pointier. Apparently, it's taken a fondness towards her. "What should we call you?"

"Fou-Fou!"

Kuroka pointed at the creature, "Why don't we call it Fou."

"That seems redundant." The creature pawed her cheek, showing apparent dislike of her words. "But he seems to like it. So, Fou it is." Fou called out affectionately as Lara petted his cheek. "Why would Merlin-"

"FOU!" The cute creature growled as he looked away pointedly.

"Did his cute face just turn angry?" A surprised but cuteness-struck Kuroka asked with her hand covering her mouth. "So cute! But why would the wizard Merlin seal him in the tome?"

Perking his ears, Fou jumped from Lara's shoulder and landed on the tome. His paws repeatedly tapped against the cover as if he wanted them to touch it. "I don't know about that, Fou." Lara voiced her hesitation while Kuroka nodded. Fou whimpered while his ears lowered to display his vulnerability. "Please don't do that."

"No, don't aim those impossibly cute eyes at me!" Kuroka pleaded strongly, looking away from the creature. "Only Fujimai can make those eyes and she's not even a year old."

"Fou-Fou-Fou! Fooouuu!" The women were instantly puddies against the cute creature as Fou sat proudly over the seemingly defeated couple. "Fou-Fou-Fou. Fou-Fou."

"We still can't understand you," Lara retorted lowly. Fou whimpered before settling on archeologist's shoulder. "Igraine will be very pleased about this."

Kuroka shook her head, "I think that's a bad idea, Lara."

"What do you mean?"

"You want to reveal a magical creature to a museum employee that displays things for other humans," Kuroka argued disdainfully. She hates the thought of a creature caged and displayed in public like zoo animals. Speaking of which, she hates zoos despite some whose reputation hailed them as beyond well-care for the animals. "I think Fou should stay with us."

"But this is a great find for my field."

"I don't agree with this. Naruto and Rhea would not be okay with Fou being displayed like a zoo animal."

Lara groaned inwardly as she knew her boyfriend and friend's disapproval about the zoo. "Damn it, you're right." Fou squeaked out and whimpered at her. "Please don't look at me like that."

"He doesn't want to be displayed like a zoo animal too," Kuroka reiterated a bit strongly.

"… Okay, he can stay with us," Fou licked her cheek affectionately as if telling Lara 'thank you'. "Okay, okay, Fou, you're welcome." Lara said, slightly blushing at the action. "Now about the tome…"

Tilting her head, Kuroka obviously asked her, "What about it?"

"If Fou is bounded to it, we can't take it out of the museum."

"Okay, why not?"

"One: the museum knows I'm working on this." Lara reminded, getting an 'oh' from the Nekomata, "Two: if they find this gone, I'll be held accountable for its disappearance i.e. I don't want to go to jail."

"Yeah, we don't want that," Kuroka agreed lowly. "Well, let's try to bring him home first; go from there."

Sighing at this course of action, Lara relented and decided to call it a day, "Okay, I'll put the tome away into the archives." Just then they heard rapid footsteps outside of the room, drawing their attention to the hallway. "What's going on?" She and Kuroka followed the employees to find the commotion. Neither of them noticed Fou transforming himself into a scarf and wrapped around Lara's neck.

The duo joined the small gathering of employees that huddled around a security guard's station. Kuroka slid in through a small gap and saw what the common was about through the portable television set. "Lara, isn't Naruto in San Francisco for that conference?" She asked in Japanese.

"Yes, why?" Kuroka made a little room and let Lara see the screen. It showed the headline 'Avengers in Showdown in San Francisco'. "Hope he's okay."

The Middle of San Francisco Bay

California, United States of America

One of the most notorious prisons ever built in America's history, known for its seclusion from the city. It only takes a boat ride or a helicopter to reach this destination. It is also infamous for several events to occur, most notable being the escape of several inmates—which was thought to be impossible by its designers.

"I've always wanted to see Alcatraz Island," A huge wall debris was pushed over, revealing an uninjured Patronus. He whistled at the destruction he unwantedly caused via being sent by an enemy's backhand. "But not like this. Stark will pay for the damages." The ninja stood up and took flight back toward the city. "Or you can pay them."

The figure who was riding a magnificent wolf the size of a horse. Its coat of fur was silver-white, unobstructed by the rider's legs. "Shinto God of Hope… come with me."

"Hmm… You do realize Frost Giants are terrorizing innocent lives in the city behind you, right?" Patronus asked rhetorically, pointing past the figure. The wolf snarled in response for its rider. "You just don't care."

"Divine matters take heed over mortal concerns."

"That's where I disagree with you. Toodles."

The rider and her canine steed stared blankly at the empty spot where the foreign god stood. Not a trace of his being there including the shadow of smoke. "You're fast…" She vanished from the wolf and reappeared in front of a startled Patronus, her fist blocked by his palm. "So am I." She was interrupted by another fist and sent flying into the water.

"But you're not strong as me," Naruto retorted while flexing his hand. The hound snarled as it pounced at him, but he ducked underneath and kicked the creature away. "Rude. How about this?" His hands flashed through the necessary signs. Though Naruto performed this plenty of times in the past, it felt weird after not having use it for a long time. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique)."

The recovering female figure and her steed regrouped as they watched smoke consume the one they sought after. The woman gasped when the smoke was blown away, revealing the fourth participant in their unwanted bout. It was larger than her and Patronus with the wings longer than a mortal city bus. Its head resembled a gryphon to her though to Naruto, it looked that of an eagle. The avian being's feathers glimmered from white to dark gray like the clouds overhead.

And it wasn't the Asgardian's bidding that called the storm to their location.

"What a majestic creature."

Patronus chuckled in agreement while Raicho screeched aggressively. The wolf roared back and snarled back while the woman pulled out her dual kokris. "Yes, he is." He drew Kogitsunemaru from the sheath, its blue blade glowing dimly under the gray clouds. The flames were not ignited as he wanted to keep it under wraps for now.

Thunder boomed each time Raicho's six wings flapped before raindrops fell from the sky. The supernatural creatures continued their vocal battle while their partners stared down at each other. The goddess and Naruto channeled their respective energies into their blades of different design. They swiped them as opposing waves clashed in the space between them.

Patronus tightened his grip on the pommel just before he clashed blades with the goddess. It lasted less than five seconds before a lightning bolt hurled at them, forcing the two back away to avoid getting hit. Thor interrupted the duo as regular-sized Wasp got into the ninja's personal space. "Where have you been?!"

"Uh…"

"We were three to one with the Enchantress, but she escaped! We could've had her if you were helping us."

Patronus scoffed indignantly, "Did you not see that Frost Giant smacking me out of the city with one hit?"

"You could've dodge it!"

That he could have, but he wanted to see how tough his body was. "Liar! You got distracted!" The Tailed Beasts chorused tauntingly.

Naruto growled behind his breath at being called out, "Wasp, you do know that this lady and her pet wolf—" The wolf snarled deeply against the word 'pet'. "—wouldn't let me go."

"Who is this person to hold you hostage, Patronus?" Thor queried.

"Uh, hostage is a bit of a big word in this circumstance, Thor."

The wolf snarled once more while the goddess glanced over her shoulder at the thunder god. "Thor? One god I can handle, but not two. Especially him."

"Having trouble, dear sister?" A blazing pillar burst next to the goddess, alerting the Avengers and Raicho. The spectacle ended when the clouds were blown by the heat as the sun and blue sky shined upon them. "Let us retreat for now."

Thor threw his hammer while Wasp rapid-fired several blasts at the other gods. Both attacks missed when they vanished in a burst of sun-yellow and silver lights. With nothing else to be done, the present Avengers returned to the city.

TTIIPMxTTIIPMxTTIIPM

"So, who were they?" asked Wasp to the gods.

"Siblings from the looks of it," Patronus answered before noticing Wasp cautiously approaching his aerial partner. "Don't worry; he's with me. His name's Raicho."

A hesitant Wasp slowly put up a palm while Raicho gazed at the action curiously. The Thunderbird noticed a curt nod of approval from his master/caregiver and put his head forward against Janet's palm. "His feathers are so soft," Wasp pointed out before receiving a nuzzle from Raicho. "Aw~ He's such a softie."

"I've seen many creatures throughout the Nine Realms, but mine eyes have never set upon such a marvelous creature as this." Thor expressed his awed admiration of the previously-unknown Thunderbird. "Patronus, what is thy price for your steed?"

Raicho screeched indignantly while Patronus shook his head, "Not ever, Thor. And he's not a steed; Raicho is a friend." Patronus affirmed as his ward nuzzled his face.

"Aye…" Thor said slightly down before assuming his usual self. "Why were the Twins after you, Patronus?"

Patronus shrugged his shoulders. "No clue."

"You sound like you know them," Wasp pointed, her wings still flapping.

"Aye. I encountered them several times before," Thor responded knowingly. "The fact of the matter here is their query of you Patronus. Have you offended them or their father?" His fellow god shook his head, "Perhaps I should talk to him. He might know about what's going on?"

"Who?" asked Wasp and Patronus in unison.

"I shall visit alone. I will return when I have answers," Thor replied while swinging Mjolnir by its strap before using its momentum to take to the skies.

Upon hearing the sound barrier being broken moments ago, Patronus and Wasp shared a look. "Did he just leave us here to do the cleanup?" Janet asked indignantly.

"Apparently so," Patronus muttered under breath while Raicho chirped softly. "I'll send you home, Raicho." He formed a hand sign and Raicho went home via in a puff of smoke. "Let's get S.H.I.E.L.D. on the horn and let them know about the Jotnar."

"Or we could send them back to their home-world."

"And how do we do that?"

"We know a guy." Wasp flew back to the city, leaving behind Patronus who tilted his head.

Naruto followed after his airborne teammate, "We do?" Then it came to him after remembering a certain incident relating to a significant Christmas figure. "Oh right, I forgot about that."

(Three Hours Later)

Uzumaki Manor, Homestead Grounds

Forested Massachusetts

The house of Uzumaki teemed with tension as a not-so-amused Rhea stood in front of a nervous Kuroka sitting in seiza. Watching the spectacle was the rest of the women sitting in the living room. The only ones not present are the sleeping children in their rooms upstairs. Meanwhile, Fou sat on Lara's lap, purring in his sleep.

"Well?"

"I'm sorry, Rhea."

"For what," Rhea stated as she knew what Kuroka needs to say. So did the Nekomata.

"For grabbing your breasts in the kitchen."

"And?"

"Groping them and doing the 'honka-honka.' I thought you were Naruto."

"Why would you 'honka-honka' Naruto?"

"Come on, you know why." Blushes appeared on all the women present as they reminisce about their time in bed with their mutual loved one. "Also, I wasn't looking."

"And now you'll suffer for your actions: no candies for a month," The Titaness smiled at Kuroka's horrified expression. "Let's eat dinner; Naruto should be here any moment."

"Hai," Kuroka answered downtrodden about her punishment.

Cayman Islands

The benefit of being a god—thunder god to be exact—you can command the weather by your will. This helps when your friend tends to be relaxed… too relaxed. "I had forgotten this was among your favorite resting places." He looked at twenty of them until his arrival here. "Tis been a great amount of time since we last met, old friend." Thor said first before landing in front of a bamboo-built hut with a large doorway.

"Oho, is that the voice of the God of Thunder I hear." Thor watched the voice's originator emerge from the hut, showing his visage. He was as tall as the Asgardian, but with brown goatee/mustache combination and shoulder-length hair free of the helmet that usually kept it in place. The man wore nothing but a black speedo, revealing his extremely muscular physique compared to Thor's own. "When was it the last time we faced each other?"

"Hmm, 100 years ago or so, Prince of Power."

"Hahahaha, I haven't been called that in a while, Prince of Thunder." The Prince of Power approached his long-time friend and rival before extending a hand. The Asgardian accepted the hand as he clasped it mightily. The force between the gods of strength in the handshake kicked away the sand around them. Neither hand moved an inch as the men had smirks expressing both determination and amusement. "I see you're as strong as ever."

"Aye, the same can be said for you, Hercules."

Their feet sink into the sand as they started to put a tiny bit of effort, but their arms still did not move. This went on for minutes until both men called it a draw, leaving behind a ten-inch crater in the midst. "What brings the Prince of Asgard to the Cayman Islands?" Hercules queried casually, sitting on a straw-built chair.

"It concerns a teammate of mine—" Hercules brought out a cold beer out of the cooler next to him, "—and your siblings." The Olympian's drink never reached his lips. "The Twin Archers stalled my teammate from aiding humans, but they fled at my sight."

"I haven't talked to those two for a very long time. Especially Sunny Boy after the incident."

"What incident?"

"…"

"Hercules."

After the slight nudge, the Greek god relented but with a smile. "I had sex with his Oracle back in the day."

"His-His Oracle?"

"The Pythia." The Thunderer groaned at this, forcing Hercules to rebuke, "What? The Pythia that time was really gorgeous and I couldn't hold myself back."

In ancient times, there were five oracles connected to the God of Prophecy. The most famous and important of them all was the Oracle at the center of the world (at that time period) and named Pythia after the Sun God defeated the monster Python. Common knowledge was the oracles must remain virgins in order to receive prophecies and diffuse them to those seeking guidance.

"Alas like your father."

"And how is yours?"

Assuming a slight frown, Thor answered his old friend, "It's been a while since I have last saw him." He forgot about the thunder and dispelled it by will. "Hercules, thy have not answer my inquiry." Thor noticed the slight narrow in Hercules's eyebrows. "Does thy father consider Patronus a threat to his reign?"

"I said it before, I have not seen my father in a great while. However, I doubt it. As for this Patronus, I do not know much about him. Is he human?" Thor shook his head. "Then a god; from what pantheon?" Hercules asked, hoping to find the reason of his siblings' reason.

"I do not know that myself."

So much for that. "Fine, I'll head to Olympus and speak to Hermes about this," Hercules stated before finishing his beer in one gulp. He and Thor heard groaning from inside the hut followed by the words 'more' seductively. "Right after I finish my business."

"*Chuckle* Good to see you have not changed a bit, old friend," Thor said before taking off via Mjolnir.

Watching his fellow prince fly away, Hercules sat semi-alone in the hut with one thought. "Patronus, huh? Perhaps I should meet this person myself to see why Thor is helping him."

"My Prince, come back to bed~" said a woman seductively, bringing a smile on the god's face.

"Coming, my dear."

(The Next Day)

La Louvre

Paris, France

Lara returned to the museum to continue her research into Merlin's tome via Kuroka's magic circle. Strangely enough, the Nekomata stayed behind despite her obvious boredom. "Kuroka, why did you stay?"

"I can't be here?"

"You can, but it's just weird you're here." Lara noticed the bundle in Kuroka's arms. "Why would you bring Fujimai to 'an institution of infinite boredom'?"

"I want to take her out to experience the French culture as do I," Kuroka replied casually before Lara stared blankly at her. "What?"

Raising her eyebrow knowingly, Lara responded back, "You're obviously going to eat here, most likely French sweets. You most likely told Rhea that you were talking your daughter out for a walk."

"How dare you?" Kuroka asked all offended after a mock-horrified gasp. "You'd think I would use my own daughter to get out of a punishment. You're really something, Lara."

"Funny, I was going to say that about you."

"Yeah, me too." Both women hastily turned around and found Naruto, in his hero outfit, standing in the doorway with crossed arms. "Rhea told me about the punishment last night. I called it in early and went home to play with all my kids—to give my lovely wives a break, of course. Medusa told me about your venture and I came here."

"Hubby, I—" Kuroka was interrupted by Fou jumping onto Naruto's shoulder, cuddling against his hood. "Yes, Fou. Distract him with your unbelievable cuteness," She cheered him on while Fujimai stirred against her bosom. "But do it quietly," Kuroka whispered to the creature.

Like the same attachment to Lara, Fou showed it to Naruto after meeting him yesterday. Maybe it is because of his deity status or personality towards nature. Kuroka gently placed Fujimai in Naruto's hands when a familiar voice entered the room.

"Ah, it is you."

Kuroka, Lara, and Patronus turned their gaze at the door, seeing Igraine standing in the doorway. Fou snarled at the woman, his ears standing on point. "Igraine?" Lara asked intrepidly.

"I have had my assumptions about whom is protecting the tome. For centuries, I wondered about the kind of defenses the mighty Merlin left behind."

Before the clan members can act, Igraine's hands glowed a fiery orange that sparked with each movement. After the third one, the adults fell through the portals created by the woman before they closed seconds later.

Fushimi Inari Temple

Kyoto, Japan

The fox god has seen countless things in his long, long life. Japan's first humans, spirits, and yokai. The blood-entrenched Sengoku Period. The rise and fall of the Tokugawa Shogunate. The Meiji Restoration. The unbelievable horrors of the Great War and the Second World War. Lastly, the industrial and economic recovery of Japan post-war. He's met many historical figures via disguise such as the blacksmith whose name is connected to his sword and famous yokai.

He's also particular to the kitsune as they are his kin, not by blood but as a race. There has been one who embraced his heritage and visited the god at the shrine every twenty years. "It has been a great while since we last reconvened. How are you?" Inari asked politely as he poured tea.

"It has been well, Lord Inari. Though my travels have taken me to wondrous places, I feel more pleasant in Japan."

Sitting in seiza across from the fox deity was a young man with long sleek black hair and grey eyes. Unlike the attire of the modern day, the guest wore a dark purple/blue outfit akin to the Shinto priests, finishing with an onmyoji's hat: a long cone of wool.

"I trust you're aware of our latest addition to the pantheon."

"Yes, I am. His deeds have not gone unnoticed these past years."

"I believe you would be."

"Then I assume you could imagine my surprise when I heard of him being your son."

"A lot of people were when I told them privately," Inari responded with a blank face while his lips were on his tea cup. "And how are your exorcists, Seimei?"

This man is none other than the legendary Onmyoji master, Abe no Seimei. From ancient Japan, particularly the Heian Period, he created the Exorcist Corps to defend the island nation from yokai and rogue spellcasters dabbling in the dark arts. The organization has been shrouded in secrecy and led by Seimei himself since then.

Seimei remained the young man he is due to his lineage. He is known as a hanyo, or a Shiftling, in Japanese culture. His mother, Kuzunoha, was a Kitsune and he inherited magical powers along with immortality as well. He and the descendants of his original followers had established an island in the Sea of Japan and trained countless generations of Onmyouji for centuries.

"I do not know," Seimei answered coolly as he sipped his drink. "I came here first."

Inari chuckled before pouring another round of tea into their cups and enjoyed each other's company.

London, England

Above the skies of the grandest city in the world opened one sparky portal and fell a flailing Nekomata. She frantically stretched both hands and her body suddenly stopped mere inches from a ceiling. "Thank God," Kuroka winced sharply, holding her head from the sharp pain. Doing so quelled her concentration and she lightly landed on the floor. "Ow. Hubby, can you message the girls? I think they're bruised. Hubby?" No answer came from her husband. "Lara?" Neither did the mortal respond. "Okay, this is not funny, you two."

"Oh, I assure you, this is not fun." Kuroka looked up from the ground and saw Igraine standing there casually as if nothing just happened. "I sense great magic in you. Show me what you can do."

Usually Kuroka is laidback and lazy even she joined the clan, but motherhood changed her somewhat. Like her husband, the Nekomata feels strong protective instinctive towards her child. And like Naruto, Kuroka is peeved that Fujimai was almost in danger by Igraine's actions. Thankfully, she is with her father instead of her mother right now.

"… I'll show you what I can do," Kuroka said steely. She fixed her kimono and covered most of her cleavage before tying her hair into twin ponytails. She revealed her cat ears and split tail, which garnered Igraine's curiosity. "For my baby girl…" Her medium-size magic circle, a purple octagon with intricate Japanese symbols throughout its design, appeared in front of her. "Nachuru Bisuto (Naturu Beast)."

Emerging from the magic circle, a green tiger-like beast charged at Igraine, its earthly claws digging into the roof. Kuroka blinked when her construct simply dissipated before it even reached the opposing magician. "Please, surely you can do better."

"She dispelled my Yojutsu," As a former Yokai, she still has access to Yojutsu (Demon Arts), the Youkai form of spellcraft. Adding that to her Senjutsu and demonic magical powers, it is precisely why her former master feared her. "Kasha (Changed Wheel)." Kuroka whispered while her finger moved in the air as blank kanji with deep green outlines formed moments later.

Igraine hummed with intrigue when eight huge black flame-covered wheels materialized around her before charging. Kuroka moved her hands downward as her senjutsu attack converged on the opposing magician. The latter's hands and feet were engulfed in the sparky, fiery magic shapes before Igraine side-stepped one wheel, kicked two away in a round-house, then jabbed a couple of one-two punches after landing, and finished off the rest with precise nukite strikes.

"Piece of advice: don't be too—"

"Senpo: Renzoku Dan (Sage Technique: Continuous Bullet)!"

Another Senjutsu attack in the form of light-pinkish bullets. Note that she took Naruto's habit of saying attacks aloud, particularly the "Senpo" part. Kuroka fired them rapidly from both of her hands, continuing her assault. Igraine responded by holding out her hands and merged her circles into one big enough to safely deflect the projectiles. Except said projectiles curved around the shield, forcing Igraine to create another but smaller shield close to her body. It barely saved the brunette, but the impact sent her flying off the roof.

"What power!" Igraine observed as she recovered in time and created another circle to stop herself from becoming roadkill. The magician ascended to the roof level. "That packed more power than the previous spell."

"How about some more since you clearly enjoyed that," Kuroka remarked coolly as she created a magic circle in front of her. "Burainiguru (Brinigle)."

Igraine watched a great serpentine creature with horns all over its body emerge and charge at her, roaring all the while. She clasped her hands together and stretched them toward the water construct. The moment of impact didn't result what Kuroka expected as her attack transformed into a big bird made of fire.

She definitely didn't expect the construct attacking her with bewildering speed, forcing her to take flight. The firebird missed before being put out by Kuroka's counter spell. "Aqua Erecto (Water Erupts)." A large stream of water jetted against the fire construct before smoke emerged from the opposing elements.

"That incantation… that was Latin." Igraine took a better look and noticed the black bat-like wings on the Nekomata's back. "This inquires more investigation."

"Kouu (Rainfall)!"

Before Igraine knew it, dark gray clouds blocked out the sun and brought forth heavy rainfall. She wasn't affected as droplets fell around her, proving a spell in use. "She can alter the weather itself?"

"Mizu no Muchi (Water Whip)!"

Three whips of water materialized around Igraine and swiped at the same time, forming an incomplete trinity symbol. Igraine swiftly dropped onto the ground and used her hands to push herself across the roof. Kuroka created more whips and commanded them to attack relentlessly. Her Bishop traits enhances her magical capabilities, Senjutsu, and Yojutsu, which was further developed during her training with Naruto.

One of the things she took from him other than his spear was to keep your enemies on the move and your attacks unpredictable. Besides the name calling, it was meant to keep opponents focused on them while away on the second wave of attacks. She's definitely the wife/mate of a shinobi.

Ahead at the trajectory Igraine were several thin discs of water in the shape of crescent moon. Igraine noticed them too late as Kuroka snapped her fingers, commanding her discs to dart straight into their target. "Mikarin (Moon Scales)!" The discs are highly compressed water and capable of slicing through almost anything. This is among the new set of techniques she developed to compensate one of her combat weaknesses: offensive attacks.

Her repertoire included teleportation, defensive, and barriers from her Bishop piece.

With the whips on one side and the discs cutting off Igraine's safe route, there is no way she would escape unharmed. Except maybe the portal that swallowed her on the ground and closed just as her discs cut into plain concrete and steel. Cracks formed and stretched between the gaps before part of the rooftop fell down.

"Kuso (Damn it)!" Kuroka cursed before she ceased the rain and prepared another attack, but her concentration broke when the rooftop—the entire city block warped entirely. "What the hell?" She looked around frantically as the environment continued to change right in front of her. It was such a drastic change that Kuroka felt nauseous, feeling overwhelmed now.

Now there were two cities of London. Up, down, left, and right were the two city blocks as if they were inside a mirror.

"A gigantic mirror?" Kuroka asked herself despite the headache after getting her bearings. "But there's no reflection of me." She then noticed that the people were unaffected, going about in their daily lives. "They're okay." The Nekomata noted internally, "I see." She realized after racking her brain since she utilized this side of magic before.

"You understand where we are, then?"

Kuroka turned around and saw Igraine standing on the side of the wall akin to Naruto's wall-climbing. She starts to understand that this woman is no mere magician. The power in each of her spells and attacks is above the magicians she encountered in times past. How far the potential, she must know.

"Clearly a parallel dimension."

"From one magician to another, this is the Mirror Dimension."

"Mirror Dimension?" Kuroka repeated to herself, "How does this make it different than other pocket dimensions?"

"If you want to know more, you'll have to beat me in ten minutes."

"Challenge accepted."

Igraine clocked in more of Kuroka's magic circles after they appeared around her. Instead of the cold water, she felt heat emanating from them. "Oh dear."

"Faia Barretto (Fire Bullet)!"

Four car-sized bullets of fire shot from the magic circles and engulfed Igraine as they hit her, swirling into a big fireball. A grand magic circle appeared above the burning spot and glowed orange-red as Kuroka initiated another attack of the flame variant.

"Goka Endan (Great Fire Flame Bullet)!"

As its name indicated, a great fire in the form of a huge flame bullet that could be mistaken as a dragon's breath. Kuroka braced herself against the shockwave when the attack collided against the smaller fire. The brutal concussive force obliterated the five top floors and the flaming rubble floated to the space between the two cities.

Her eyes searching, the wary Kuroka readied another spell hinted by her magic circle. Moments later, it grew in size to protect her from a lightning bolt from above or to the side. She gritted her teeth as the opposing attack pushed the Nekomata back while Igraine floated at a higher position than her.

"After learning our whereabouts, you decided to use stronger attacks. That is smart and foolish at the same time." Igraine said as she continued her assault. "Arrogant, I should say."

"But I made you step your game up!"

"Your habit of calling out attacks is counterproductive—no, unnecessary."

"I picked up the habit from someone," Kuroka retorted with snark, "Along with other things."

Igraine barely moved her arm forward as the surge traveled through the bolt, increasing its power as a result. Kuroka noticed herself losing ground and that her magic circle is cracking from the power. Unable to stop herself, the Nekomata disappeared in the dust debris after she crashed into the streets.

"Your magical power is higher than others, more so in the years I've learned." Igraine mentioned aloud. "Which is why I must determine your status." She landed on the street with some distance, waving her hands in the space in front of her. Meanwhile, wispy red whips materialized with sharp tips and lunged through the cloud, digging into the target.

And yet she was thrown hurtling into a restaurant, her senses failing to register the attack. Igraine grunted as she stood while her hidden magic circles became visible. There were cracks in them, bringing intrigue and wariness from the magician. Behind her stood Kuroka as the latter raised her hand and locked on.

"Faia Baretto (Fire Bullet)."

Igraine gasped while her magic circle grew in size and blocked out the fire attack. It was much stronger though as Igraine was the one thrown out of the building while the fire attack destroyed the inside. Before she could do anything, Igraine found the Nekomata in front of her once again and kicked her upward while breaking the former's magic circle in the process.

"Impossible. She broke my mandala," Igraine's wide eyes is proof of her astonishment.

Kuroka pivoted on her standing leg and roundhouse-kicked with her intended limb, breaking Igraine's other mandala in the process. Igraine fixed herself in mid-air and summoned another mandala underneath her feet to use as a floating platform. She blinked and saw Kuroka already in front of her, displaying great speed that was previously not shown earlier.

"Where does this speed come from?" Igraine asked as she created a whip of her own. It was serrated and emitted sparks with each movement. Kuroka didn't pay mind to it before appearing behind Igraine again for another sneak attack. She should have as Igraine swiftly turned around and held the whip with two hands, connecting with Kuroka's foot.

The force sent Kuroka away from Igraine and both combatants stared down at each other once they regained their footing. "What was that?" The Nekomata queried as her affected foot was slightly numb. "That had way too much force!"

"Is that an aura?"

Now that the scene has ceased ever slightly, Igraine was able to see the purple aura that coated Kuroka. It is no doubt the reason of the woman's enhanced strength and speed. And she doesn't look exhausted.

As for Kuroka, she was pleased about this development. It has been something she was working on to address one of her weaknesses with Naruto… when the heavy patting wasn't in the way pre-pregnancy. Compared to her husband, Igraine's physical speed is lacking, but the latter's reaction time and reflexes are higher than most humans. It includes Senjutsu and control of her life force (chakra or ki) to be utilized in combat.

Before meeting her mate, Kuroka never thought she would fight at close-combat. Her husband's stories of hero patrols changed that as there are numerous, strong beings in this world. Not that her home dimension didn't have any i.e. the Dragon Emperors, the Gods, and Dragon Gods. She was inspired by Naruto's version of Senjutsu and its subsequent form, Sage Mode.

Though their training is different, the concepts are similar to each other. They worked day and night to develop Kuroka's Senjutsu and the end result was not just enhancing her demonic and magical powers, but also her Touki (Fighting Spirit) becoming stronger.

Hence the aura surrounding Kuroka's body, though she has a different name for it.

"Tenparansu (Temperance)," Kuroka whispered to herself. The name represents her refinement of Senjutsu with the aid of her husband and wanting of protecting her family.

Igraine and Kuroka lowered their stances before the latter vanished once more. The French woman turned around, anticipating an attack from there. It didn't come as Kuroka appeared on her right flank and summoned a great sphere of water, trapping Igraine. "Suiro (Water Prison)."

"Her command of fire and water is impressive."

The prison's surface bubbled by Igraine's command before it turned into steel. Kuroka managed to get her hand away before she kicked the ball and Igraine away. In the air did it swiftly change into a large dragon entirely of lightning. It was not the serpentine Eastern dragon known to the residents of Asia, but the four-legged and two-winged Western dragon.

"Oh shit," Kuroka's enhanced speed saved her as the lightning dragon's maw dig into it. She reappeared some distance away, but it was too late since the dragon was already there. "What the—" She vanished once more before hiding inside a bakery, ignoring the oblivious humans. "Okay, the dragon is lightning so of course it would be fast."

She'll pull something from her husband's playbook to get around that dragon.

Meanwhile outside of the shop, Igraine casually walked the street until stopping in front of it. Her lightning construct floated above her, its flickers flashing across the air. Without a word, the dragon roared as it lunged into the restaurant. Long sparks of lightning streaked across the air while concrete debris flew out of the building.

"Change tactics once your opponent has seen it more than once…"

"Gah!"

Igraine's right hand, extending across her frame and underneath her armpit, emitted a long fiery spear that dug squarely into a gasping Kuroka. Her aura was gone as a stream of blood escaped at the corner of her mouth.

"Damn it, I meant to aim at her stomach," Igraine thought worriedly. "This is not good."

That moment was all that determined the battle as Kuroka appeared on Igraine's left flank and held out her palm, a wind sphere swirling with magical power. "Bakufudama (Explosive Wind Bomb)!"

A great clap rang out like a gunshot while strong winds blew across several buildings, destroying their windows and severely cracking their structures while lightning broke out to the sky as the dragon roared in defiance. The victor would be revealed as the Mirror Dimension reverted back for the real world since there is now only one set of London.

(Meanwhile)

Fushimi Inari Temple, Fushimi-ku

Kyoto, Japan

After his dealing with the legendary onmyoji leader, Inari remained in the temple to gaze upon its priests and daily visitors. Everyday there are different prayers and wishes that range from different emotions. Among the gods, there are actually few who interact with the humans. This decree was established by Izanagi after the defeat of their chief enemy who is sealed in Yomi. Still, that didn't stop some gods from visiting the earthly realm.

Still, something has bugging him as of late. He couldn't quite put his paw on it—Inari is in fox form—but the god had tried his best to let it be until the time comes for his understanding. That did not have halt the other trifling matter regarding his adopted son.

Specifically, the sword he gave him: Kogitsunemaru.

-(Flashback Begins)-

(One Month Ago)

Takamagahara

"It's getting heavy?"

"Yeah."

Inari and Naruto sat on the pathway, watching Ashla and Misaki chase one of the god's messengers around. Their mothers were back home for a little lady R&R. As for Fujimai and Hagumi, the formerly stoic Leone harried them into her private quarters as she and the servants played with them.

"How long has this been happening?"

"Not long after I fully ascended."

"This is concerning."

"Normally I wouldn't be bothered by something like this-" Mainly he'd use his fists and Ninjutsu. "But I put all of that time practicing Kenjutsu." In fact, he had been practicing the Kosaka-Ryu with Saeko and Medusa as they were Shigure's disciples. "Any theories, Lord Inari?"

"I created the blade myself and there were never any issues with it…." Inari paused briefly. "Until now."

Dropping his head sadly, Naruto whimpered at this small-yet-increasingly situation. "Should I return Kogitsunemaru back?"

"… No, the blade is still yours, Naruto. Still, keep me informed of any development about Kogitsunemaru."

"You got it."

Hearing a commotion outside, both gods found the source to be a comedically-tired Yato being chased by a frantically angry Bishamon. "Come back, Yatogami!"

"Eat my dust, psycho bitch!"

Sweat-drops slid on the befuddled Inari and Naruto. "They're at it again," The fox god stated exasperatedly.

"They're just playing around."

"Her trying to kill him since they met is playing around?" Inari asked incredulously. Even he struggled to understand the duo's dynamic.

"It started that way at the beginning, but I think over time this behavior is their way of being friends because they don't know how to do otherwise." Naruto should know since it started that way with Sasuke since the Academy. Their time together as Team Seven slowly unraveled cooperation and exposed a friendly rivalry for a time. "Should I stop them this time?"

"Why? They're friends, aren't they?"

Somehow the two gods heard them and shouted back from the distance, "WE ARE NOT FRIENDS!"

"Rasen no Sutoraiku Basuto (Spiraling Strike Burst)!"

Inari sweat-dropped more when Naruto joined the squabble with one of his original Ninjutsu. "Kids these days." And he was not just talking about Naruto.

-(Flashback Ends)-

Since that day, Inari had pondering over Kogitsunemaru and Naruto. It was not long when he had two possible theories. One is that the blade is not for his adopted son. In Japanese folklore, every inanimate object has a spirit and the mortals on Honshu in ancient times would always show immense respect for every-day object. That is the case for the Amatsu-Kami as their weapons and objects house their own spirit.

What this means for Naruto and Kogitsunemaru, Inari does not completely know, but he thinks it will change for the ninja in the near future.

The second of this train of thought is less likely as it pertains to be blood-related. He shook his head as that remains to be less likely given how everything happened to his family.

"My lord?" Chizuru asked, drawing Inari's gaze on her and causing the young girl to be nervous. She still has not grown accustomed to being near gods. "Um… T-there's something I… I think you need to know."

"What is it?"

"…"

"Chizuru?"

"It is regarding Lady Leone."

"Hmm?"

London

United Kingdom, Europe

Minutes passed before the debris cloud dissipated by an unknown, natural force. In the center was Igraine, her clothes mainly unharmed except for the few cuts from the wind. She noticed that there was only one city, marking their return to the real world. "I believe we are done here."

Igraine paused as she looked toward Kuroka, still coated in her ki and raring to continue fighting. Her kimono had scuff marks in the chest and lower area, but mainly she was fine. Except the fact some parts of her hairs got frazzled from the lightning.

"Don't you think?"

"I can still keep going. In fact, I'm just getting started," Kuroka retorted as her magic circles appeared on her hands. She noticed something and canceled them plus her aura, crossing her arms confidently. "Though I am pretty hungry. What do you think, dear?"

Before Igraine can respond, she felt a grip around her neck before lifted up by said hand. "Miss, are you okay?" Patronus asked steely as Lara ran to Kuroka and checked to see if she had actual wounds.

"I'm fine, Patronus," Kuroka answered before whispering to Lara, "Where were you two?"

"We had no idea, but several beasts were sent upon us. It was in middle of a city in Italy and kept Naruto busy. I helped with the civilians, but we couldn't find your ki signature until now." Lara responded lowly. After Kuroka was deemed fine, the Croft heiress aimed her Makakoyumi, arrow nocked and ready to be fired. "Patronus, I think it's time we get some answers."

"Agreed."

All eyes were on the sparky/fiery portal and the person who created it. It was the Ancient One and her brood.

"I'd appreciate it if you would release my disciple," Ancient One stated amicably.

Patronus growled before letting go of the woman, who walked hastily back to the sorceress. "Was this some sort of test? For whom exactly?"

"Let us speak alone—"

He pointed at Lara and Kuroka. "You involved them as well, Old One," Naruto responded by her nickname. He came up with it and not exactly an original one. "You speak to all of us or we leave."

"…"

"Master, you do not have to heed his choices," Wong affirmed to the woman.

"It concerns both the tome and them."

Naruto had a feeling that this related to the tome Lara was researching. "What's this about a tome?" Patronus asked as he was still out of the loop. Lara informed him about Merlin's involvement in this debacle. "Did you know this Merlin character?"

"Everyone knows who he is," Kaecilius answered back.

"I meant if the Old One knew Merlin personally."

"Show respect to the master!" Wong sternly told the god.

Patronus looked away, "No." He replied with arms crossed.

"You had Igraine to offer me that job to study the tome," Lara voiced her thoughts. "Why?"

The Ancient One stood silent for a few moments, pondering her next response. "I am familiar that you and Patronus worked together in the past. Knowing of his godhood, I'd assumed the tome would react to him." She glanced at Fou sitting on Lara's left shoulder. "The tome instead reacted to Ms. Croft. Igraine was hasty and thought to separate you three while making off with the tome itself."

"Tsk," Igraine tried to move her hands, only to be restrained by Kaecilius's whip. "So, you've known for a while." She gagged when her mouth was shut by an Eldtrich piece.

"I apologize for my former disciple's transgression," The Ancient One relayed to Kuroka while noting her appearance. "Regarding the tome, the Masters of Mystic Arts keep guard of magical items to prevent misuse of their powers."

Lara stepped forward while Fou snarled at the sorceress. "The tome belongs to a museum."

"Actually, the museum is partly owned by us," Wong interjected to inform them, "It is one of our ways to keep an eye on potential threats."

Fou squeaked lowly as he flared his magical power. The Ancient One's gaze shifted between Patronus, Lara, Kuroka, and Fou. It is obvious that the creature will use its abilities to defend itself and the others if she and the Masters make their attempt to remove it. Plus, Patronus really seems eager to fight them given he had been flexing his hands into fists the entire time.

"We are leaving."

The Masters were taken aback as the Ancient One turned around and created a single portal back to their headquarters. After reluctant moments, they took their leave as the portal closed behind them. The trio stood there before Naruto swiftly moved to Kuroka, checking over her person.

"Hubby, not here!"

"Keep it in your pants, Kuroka," Naruto replied flatly, showing concern as he cupped her face, "Are you okay?"

Blushing and smiling by his concern, the Nekomata mother nodded softly, "I'm fine and I gave that Igraine bitch a run for her money."

"Atta-girl," Naruto praised with his trademark smile. "But I really wanted to make her pay myself."

"No one messes with Uzumaki Kuroka!" Kuroka affirmed proudly. Lara chuckled while Fou tilted his head confusingly.

"Still, the Ancient One has guts to go after us like that."

Cue puzzled expressions from Kuroka and Lara. "What are you talking about?"

"You haven't sense it then? Then you girls need to pay more attention to her ki."

Kamar-Taj

Kathmandu, Nepal

"Master, I still do not understand your decision."

The Ancient One stood facing at the vast, beautiful view provided by the surrounding environment. Wong and Kaecilius, despite being her most loyal followers, still do not completely understand the Sorceress Supreme and her quirks. Though she does have her reasons, it can be a bit off-putting.

Next to the Ancient One was Igraine who assumed the same pose as her. "Patronus is dangerous. A dangerous one." Igraine said, "However, that Nekomata surprised me. Her magic is powerful and demonic."

"A demon?" Wong asked unsurely.

"She fended off my attacks and utilized energy that I have not seen for a very long time."

Kaecilius and Wong watched Igraine morphed into the Ancient One before becoming translucent and entering the other one's body. "She held her own against your clone, master?" The man asked with slight surprise. Even though the clone only had a fraction of the original's power and skill, it was still beyond both his and Wong's—most of everyone's skills.

And yet this must be why the Ancient One did this. Reconnaissance on potential allies or enemies. Croft, Patronus, and the Nekomata. They are a group that must be watched with the others: the Avengers, Asgardians, Hydra, S.H.I.E.L.D., and more.

"And the creature?"

"Merlin's familiar." The Ancient One answered Kaecilius. It almost sounded nostalgic. "I remember those days. Merlin was amongst the few on par with my skills." She chuckled at the memories of them sparring in Arthurian England. "I even lost to him numerous times."

"You believe the creature is better protected with them than us?" Wong asked skeptically. Sure, Patronus is powerful and his magic something else, but he has little to no experience in safeguarding magical relics or beasts.

"That remains to be seen."

"This is quite a gamble you are making, master," Kaecilius stated with a disapproving tone.

The Sorceress Supreme hummed loudly as if she was in thought. That became a cue for them to take their leave. And the disciples did. She thought back to the Nekomata's might and magical prowess. Merlin's spell on the tome was meant to alert her of its discovery and the one with great potential for magic.

That was why she separated them to test the woman whose magic seems to be mixed with other forces. From the feel of it, the Earth's natural aura and the Japanese yokai form of spellcraft. Those she has not faced against for a very long time, not to mention the yokai's skill is nothing to laugh at.

Despite Patronus's rage towards her, it looks like the Ancient One might have found herself a very promising disciple.

Delos, Mediterranean

Greece

In ancient times, the Titaness Leto was seduced by the Greek God Zeus and bore his children. During her pregnancy, Leto was forbidden by Hera to give birth on the earth. As if matters were not worse, the deity was chased by Python, the monstrous snake child of the earth primordial goddess Gaia. Leto found refuge on the floating island of Delos whose inhabitants and local deities aided her since technically the island did not touch the earth, but afloat in the air.

A day after her arrival, Leto gave birth to her first child who would become the Goddess of Hunt, Artemis. Nine days later, her other child and twin brother of Artemis and God of the Sun, Apollo was born. Days later, Leto was attacked by Python who found her, only for her son to save her and established a temple for the Pythia Oracle. Since then, Delos has the home for the three deities and sacred for their followers.

It is also one of the few places where Zeus does not have eyes on despite his vast power as king.

"Thor the Thunderer… I could've taken him on."

"Please, you wouldn't last a minute."

"Come on, sis. Show some support for your big brother," Apollo said in mock hurt.

His sister, Artemis, growled at her brother. "I'm older than you… by nine days! I've been telling you this for centuries!"

"You're adorable when you're angry."

The cloaked Artemis groaned before swiping her silver hunting knife, but missed as Apollo took a step backward. "Stop joking around. Now that we know the Amatsu-Kami and the Asgardian are teammates, they will be more alert of us."

"Just let me hit him with an arrow; he won't even notice it."

"A newly ascended god who defeated the Frost Queen would most likely detect your arrow; we must find another way."

"How about talking to him?"

"He didn't give me that option," Artemis responded, referring to the first encounter. To be fair, she was trespassing on Shinto territory near the entrance of their version of the underworld. "Mother, what do you think we should do?"

Their mother, Leto, was tended by the local spirits, specifically dryads, as she stared at the vast ocean from their location on the peak. The Titaness was cloaked entirely but her divine presence rivals her children. "My children, this is a matter of not only one pantheon, but more. I too have seen what lies ahead and we may not survive on our own."

Dreams for mortals back in ancient times were considered prophetic and they sought to do anything to either embrace or reject the resulting end. But deities? Their dreams are so potent that they can see into the far future. Only certain deities have this ability and Leto is one of them along with her son.

"What did you see, mother?"

"The world… covered in blankets of earth and darkness. Countless deaths preceded by primordial silence and cries of languish agony."

The twin gods shared concern from their mother's words. "What must we do, mother, to prevent this calamity?"

"I do not know, but I'm certain the Amatsu-Kami and his allies plays a role in this."

"You mean the mortals?" Artemis asked, referring to the Avengers.

Leto sighed audibly as she pondered about this latest development. "Yes, dear."

"Should we try again?" Apollo asked this time playfully, "I can lull him to sleep with my music."

"No one wants to hear your rock and roll trash, Apollo," An annoyed Artemis flatly remarked, leaving her brother to fume at her, "You don't scare me."

"How dare you?!"

Leto could not stop herself from chuckling at the duo's behavior. She has always loved their quirks and childish arguments as they are one of the ways it displays their sibling relationship. The Titaness looked to the sky, pondering about the future it holds for them.

(Three Days Later)

Training Area, Homestead Grounds

Forested Massachusetts

In the middle of the established perimeter stood Naruto before his four students sitting in seiza. On his flanks were Saeko and Medusa while Kuroka stood behind him. Today's training was going to involve more Ninjutsu and weapons training.

"Huh?!"

Or the lack thereof.

"You heard me: no weapons until I say otherwise."

"But why, sensei?" Donny asked confusingly. Splinter had them hone their skills when they showcased aptitude for the different weapon styles.

"If I could just—"

"Come on, teach us some of your ninjutsu," Raphael insisted as he didn't like to work on his weapon form.

"If I could just-"

"Sensei, let's have some of Rhea's plant-based pizza!"

"…"

Three of the four brothers clammed up when a miniature Kurama formed in front of them, baring his fangs as he snarled audibly. "Knock it off, all of you!"

"Why me?" Leo cried crocodile-tears streaming down for being unjustly scolded. "I was the only quiet one."

Naruto and Kurama shared a fist-tail bump. "Thanks, buddy. If you had just listened closely, I said you won't use your weapons. Emphasis on the 'your' word."

"…You want us to train using each other's weapons?" Leo asked incredulously. Naruto nodded. "May I ask why?"

"All of you are one-trick ponies."

"Eh?" the brothers replied at the same time.

Nudging Kurama gently with his foot, Naruto spoke next, "By what Kurama means is you guys need to be more versatile." His fox partner intentionally cleared his throat. "Us shinobi must be adaptive and flexible in combat." He draws inspiration from the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, whose mastery of not just the three main ninja skills but all of them earned him the God of Shinobi title. "Especially in the world we currently live in."

"Yep/Yes/Correct," answered Kurama, Medusa, and Saeko respectively.

"So, you'll be going back to the basics," Naruto said, getting a collective groan in return, "But once you learn this style, anything can be a weapon." Cue the perplexed yet intrigued expression from the turtles. "Got your attention, huh?"

"Is it a universal style?" asked Leo, curious about this fighting style.

Raphael shook his head, clearly opposed to the notion, "No way. I-I mean Master Splinter taught us Ninjutsu for years. It seems counter-productive to learn another style."

Pursing his mouth in thought, Naruto hummed before responding back, "I learned another martial art and it helped my Taijutsu in a lot of ways." Courtesy of the Invincible Superman. "And the style I'm talking is also Ninjutsu."

"Armed Ninjutsu," Saeko stepped forward while Naruto did the opposite. The attention was now on her, "The style that I, Medusa, and Naruto had learned is a variation of armed ninjutsu. It has some of the classic techniques along with modern teachings." She tossed up a leaf that was in her hand high to the air. "If you master this style, you can be ready for anything and anyone."

Mikey raised his hand like a school kid. "What is it called?"

Just then the leaf Saeko had tossed earlier floated in front of her. The turtles watched the purple-haired swordswoman grabbing the handle of her bokken, only for it to be sheathed a second later. It didn't look like she made a slash at all. Even Leo, a master swordsman, couldn't see the movement despite his keen eyesight.

It was only on the ground did he notice the hidden result of the action.

"Guys… look at the ground." An astonished Leo said. His brothers followed his gaze, stopping on the object that caught their attention and astonishing them as well.

The leaf has been split into two. Not in half, but actually sliced through the thin layer of it. And that was done by a bokken! Imagine with a sword… or any other weapon.

"Kosaka Surasshu (Kosaka Slash)." Saeko said with a teacher's vibe. "This is a technique of the Kosaka-ryu, a variation of armed ninjutsu."

With that single demonstration, the turtles sat ready for Saeko's next words and continued to do so. The rest of the training mainly consisted of the designated roles. Saeko and Medusa are the teachers as they have been practicing the style longer than their beau. They'll train the turtles in the philosophy of the martial art while Kuroka and Naruto will test and improve their prowess by creating numerous obstacles with magic and elemental ninjutsu.

Above them flew Raicho as he was the unofficial aerial sentry. Similar positions in land and sea are taken by Rexy and Sui. At the corner of its keener eye, the Thunderbird noticed a dot in the far distance. It seemed to be just outside of the Homestead's Unplottable boundary. With four beats of its wings, Raicho flew towards the spot where he saw the possible intruder only to find nothing anywhere.

Its counterpart of the sea, Sui, popped her head out of the sea before neighing at Raicho. Both creatures of legend screeched and neighed back, voicing their concern about the mutual object of interest. They decided their next action should be to inform their master and swam/flew back to the Homestead grounds.

If they had stayed a few more moments, the creatures would have seen the object streak across the sky in the opposite direction like a yellow-red comet.

END OF CHAPTER

It has been a while since the last update. News to go over: Justice League Dark—Apokolips War came out in May and it was really dark. Thus, the film ended the DCAMU (the New 52 continuity that started in War all the way to Wonder Woman: Bloodlines). I hope that they make a DC Rebirth-related continuity sometime this year or 2021. Speaking of movies: Godzilla vs Kong is still this November along with Black Widow and possibly Doctor Strange 2. There is Thor: Love and Thunder in 2022 or 2021 (possibly introducing Hercules and the Olympians in the MCU and hoping they include Gorr the God Butcher).

Nioh 2 came out and it was a great game. Other games I am looking forward to are Ghost of Tsushima, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla (Hidden Blade returns!). PS5 is maybe releasing this holiday and I'm hoping we get to see news about upcoming PS5 games like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and the Spider-Man sequel (want to face Venom and others).

I hope you enjoyed these updates during this trying time of COVID-19 pandemic. All we can do is follow the rules and pray that a viable vaccine will be in the horizon. Stay safe, stay healthy to all of you and keep loved ones in your prayers/thoughts.
