Author's Note : To every reader who left feedback and is enjoying this story i thank you. For those wondering Brucas and their friends are in their 30's. Review!

Much as some of us fight it, our parents have a mystical hold over us, the power to affect our thoughts and emotions the way only they can. It's a bond that changes over time, but doesn't diminish, even if they're half a world away, or in another world entirely. It's a power we never fully understand.

The Davis Home

The expression on Brooke's face hardened.

When she saw this woman. She easily could see parts of Sam. When she found Sam that day all those years ago. She was alone. In tears. Screaming for her mother.

"You have no right to be here. I won't have this discussion in my home." Brooke announced.

Rebecca stared back at Brooke. "If you would be more comfortable we could talk outside." She suggested.

Or you could just leave and never come back. Brooke thought to herself.

"Yeah let's talk outside." Brooke said.

Rebecca followed Brooke's lead out of the home.

Once the two were on the front porch. With the front door closed behind them.

Brooke looked to her. "Why are you here.? How did you found out where we live.?" She questioned.

"Tree Hill is a small town. You have a party for Sam every year since you've had her. I didn't muster up the courage to come here until i started writing letters to her. Take into account you're a well known celebrity finding you're house wasn't difficult. Every time she came into that diner where i work. Whether she was alone or with friends. I fought the urge to reach out to her and reveal who i am."

"I've seen the two of you around town. I can see with my own eyes that she's loved and cared for." Rebecca stated.

"Then why show up at all.?" Brooke questioned.

"Because keeping my distance from her isn't enough anymore. She didn't respond to my letters so I thought if i showed up and found a chance to talk to her." Rebecca replied.

"Then everything that happened in the past would be forgotten. You would become her mom again and i would no longer exist." Brooke rambled on.

"Look Ms. Davis. I understand you're need to protect Sam. But you aren't her mother i am. She doesn't need shielding from me." Rebecca stated.

Brooke's eyes went wide. "You need to leave now!" She proclaimed.

"Not until i talk with Sam." Rebecca replied.

"I thought i heard you're voice. Mom what are you doing out here.? I'm ready to blow out the candles on my cake." Sam announced as she walked over.

Sam looked from Brooke to her bio mother. The expression on her face pure shock.

"Sunbeam. Look at you. You're all grown up. So beautiful." Rebecca said.

"Get out of here! Stay the hell away from me!" Sam yelled.

As she rushed off into the home.

"Sam wait!" Brooke replied.
