S'up!A lot happens in this chapter and I'm trying to keep the pacing tight as there are some scenes that I can't wait to get to in future chapters! Please enjoy, we start off with some needed kindness then rotate into sass and tension ;P

Chapter 88: Shattering Ice

A week later …

The Hall of the Hundred Hearths, Harrenhal, South-East Riverlands, Westeros

Kenna heard the sounds of her moving army behind her but her attention was captivated by the sheer size of the cliff-like walls of Harrenhal and the three dragons circling above the enormous castle. She approached the curtain walls and guided her black mare through the gigantic main gate.

She dismounted in the open courtyard and pulled her cloak tighter around herself. The sky looked snowy and the air was a type of biting cold she had only ever experienced at the very top of the mountains in the Vale. It was going to be a long cold winter regardless if the Night King reigned or not.

Kenna spied Ser Davos sliding off his horse next to Commander Strickland. She let out a warm breath of air that misted before her face.

"Ser Davos," Kenna greeted as she made her way to him.

"Your Grace?"

"I understand that Lady Shireen is here. You may return to her service."

Davos gave her a cautious look, "Why?"

Kenna almost cracked a smile at the common-born bluntness, "You care for her?"

Davos nodded, trying to work out Kenna's angle.

"She is currently a pawn to be pushed around and presented at will. All alone, surrounded by those that would use her for their own ends. No little girl deserves that."

The element of suspicion lingered in his eyes. There was always a reason behind everything Kenna Lannister did.

"Commander Strickland," Kenna beckoned with her hand as she proceeded towards the Great Hall of Harrenhal.

A second later the tall blond Captain-General of the Golden Company was matching her steps as she walked behind Lord Royce and King Artys.

"No matter what is said in there, no matter the threats discussed I'm still paying you so your men are still my men. Understood?"

"Yes, your Grace. The Golden Company signed a contract to defeat your enemies. As long as the coin flows, we do not break contracts, we fulfil them."

Kenna nodded but wondered if he would keep that bravado when he understood the true nature of the new threat he was being asked to fight. Riches meant nothing to dead men.

Kenna increased her pace to catch up with Lord Royce's long strides.

"My Queen?" the large Vale Lord inquired when he noticed her presence.

"Feels like old times doesn't it?" Kenna puffed out as they began to ascend some steps to approach the famous Hall of the Hundred Hearths.

"I don't recall any of our previous parlays involving dragons and talk of another War for the Dawn."

"It feels familiar; you, me, enemies surrounding us on all sides."

Lord Royce gave her a small smile, "You're right somethings never change."

"Ready?" Artys asked as they reached the entrance to the Great Hall.

Both Queen and Lord nodded.

Kenna walked into the colossal chamber flanked by Lord Royce and Artys. Ser Davos and Commander Strickland followed with Ser Mychel Redfort walking in their shadows.

Kenna immediately observed the groups that had formed. Daenerys Targaryen stood closest to the entrance surrounded by those that had stuck with her throughout her trials in Essos with the additions of Lord Robin Arryn and Lady Shireen Baratheon. Kenna noted with intrigue how Oberyn and Cersei were standing with Trystane Martell and not their chosen Queen just off the Dragon's Queens group. The Lannisters and Tyrells had predictably stuck together and occupied the other end of the large chamber, although Mace and Loras Tyrell looked out of place amongst all the blond heads and red amour. The Starks were bunched together but they were not alone. The Hound and a red-haired wildling stood with them and Leaf sat cross-legged by Bran's wheelchair. Despite having the smallest army, the Stark group were dominating the middle of the chamber.

The hostile tension radiated around the room like a fire bordering on the cusp of being uncontrollable. Kenna was glad no guards or beasts had been allowed entry, if fighting was going to break out it would be limited to fists and concealed weapons.

She shook her head to dispel the image of her hidden blade plunged into Daenerys's slender neck and took a moment to compose herself before she started to move towards Daenerys. Ser Jorah and Ser Barristan placed themselves in front of their Queen while Artys and Lord Royce did the same.

"Queen Daenerys, Lady Shireen … Robin," Kenna said in a measured tone.

Daenerys's returned her intense glare, "What do you want?"

"Nothing from you or Littlefinger's bastard," Kenna remarked pointedly before gesturing for Ser Davos to come forward, "You may return to your Lady."

"Thank you," Ser Davos said as he walked around the watchful exiled Westerosi knights to accept the hug Shireen offered him.

The sight of the two embracing brought a tinge of warmth to Kenna's heart, Shireen could have easily been her and Ser Davos Lord Royce fifteen years ago.

A sharp sound snapped her out of the lingering emotion and her searching eyes found the source easily enough.

Prince Oberyn was sarcastically clapping from his position in-between Cersei and Trystane, "Perhaps next you may reunite me with my daughters. The ones you hold captive, not the ones you killed."

The undertone of fury was clear for all to hear and Kenna restrained the urge to retaliate. All this situation needed to erupt into chaos was a spark and with the stakes as they were, she was determined not to be that spark.

"No?" Oberyn shouted at Kenna's imposed silence. He shifted his attention to the Lannister contingent, specifically searching out Tywin, "Maybe you could release my nephew's pregnant wife instead? Or admit your part in my sister and brother's murders but I guess we all know that true justice runs in crimson rivers."

"Do not act like your hands are clean," Tyrion thundered, raising his chin.

"I did you a favour, Lord Tyrion. She was a whore; she didn't love you; she loved your purse strings and your cock."

"The men in my family have similar tastes in women," Cersei sniped from Oberyn's shoulder.

Kenna gritted her teeth knowing she and Tywin had been the target of that barb, "I see the scar healed well."

Cersei instinctively touched her cheek and settled a look of pure hatred on Kenna.

"I will repay you in kind one day."

"And one day I will finish what I started," Kenna replied without missing a beat.

Kenna expected an equally fierce retort back but Cersei's face had morphed to portray her softer features.

"Mother?"

All attention went to the King of the Seven Kingdoms. The young man tried to step forward but Tywin put a hand on his shoulder to stop him.

"Please return to King's Landing," Tommen pleaded.

"I can't do that until justice has been served for Joffrey's murder and-."

"Petyr Baelish and Lysa Arryn were executed for that crime," Tywin cut in.

Cersei just glowered at her father and Kenna wouldn't have been shocked if she had sprinted across the room and launched herself at him.

Kenna took advantage of the moment of silence and guided her group around Daenerys to pass the Starks holding the middle ground and stand a few paces to the side of the Lannisters.

Oberyn noted how Robb's eyes darkened at Kenna's movements, "How can you bare to be in their presence? The Lannisters have wronged you almost as much as they have wronged me."

"The past doesn't matter!" Jon exclaimed, saving Robb from voicing his opinion. "We're here to fight together, not amongst ourselves. Death is the enemy. The first enemy and the last. And he is coming for all of us."

"Do we have a plan, other than to scurry off to Casterly Rock?" Kenna asked impatiently.

Jon looked at Bran who nodded then spun around the chamber to make eye contact with all the leaders assembled.

"To defeat the army of the dead we only need to kill the Night King. If he falls so does his entire army."

"Why can't Queen Daenerys fly her dragons over to the Wall and set him on fire?" Tyrion asked, refocusing his mind away from Shae's killer to the common threat.

"Dragon fire cannot kill him, only removing or breaking the dragonglass dagger in his heart will release him," Bran announced looking at no one in particular.

Daenerys's jawline tensed at that new piece of information, "And how do you know this?"

"The Children of the Forest created him."

What? Kenna's mind spat as she looked to the little creature standing near Bran.

"We created the Night King to protect ourselves against you," Leaf said, defending her people's past actions.

"We are luring the Ning King into a trap," Tywin clarified, keen to get down to the details. "How is this going to work?"

Bran fixed the Lannister patriarch with his vacant stare, "We will ambush him when he comes for me."

"What stops him from simply waiting in the wings and letting his undead army kill you instead?" Tywin asked, thinking through what he would do if in the enemy's position.

"He wants to kill me himself … and he will have to. I can interrupt the control he has over the wrights."

Kenna's ears pricked up, "You can … freeze them?"

"Yes," Bran answered, "but only if they are close enough to me and far enough away from him."

"With his army immobilised the Night King will be forced to engage himself," Tywin said, acknowledging the plan.

"We can set up defences and strategically position our men to slow his progress to you and elongate the vulnerability of his army," Jaime announced already thinking through the choke points to defend in his childhood home.

Kenna nodded at her husband's thinking and agreed with the Starks plan to isolate the Night King but there was still a critical piece missing in her mind, "Once we have the Night King where we want him, how do we kill him? I'm guessing a creature created to kill all men won't be easy to put down."

"We stab him through his heart," Arya said as if it was obvious.

Kenna still had reservations, "You say only this dragonglass or Valyrian steel will kill them. Those are rare materials and it seems we don't have long till the Night King breaks through the Wall."

"There are enough dragonglass weapons already at Casterly Rock," Leaf suddenly announced. "We knew that the Night King would come again, and our greenseers foretold that the next Battle for the Dawn would be at Casterly Rock."

Tyrion scoffed, wondering how such a large cache of weapons could remain hidden all this time.

"The Children of the Forest built Casterly Rock and we lived there for thousands of years before you arrived to tear down our forests," Leaf said defiantly back knowing the dwarf was doubting her words.

"If we are all agreed," Daenerys said, narrowing her eyes on the Lannisters, "we can start our march to Casterly Rock tomorrow and start fortifying the walls."

"Agreed," Tywin simply declared before looking to Kenna.

There is no choice, Kenna muttered to herself. She just hoped that the Night King could fall in battle. And that this wasn't just the Gods way of wiping the world anew so they could start again.

"The Knights of the Vale will march to the Rock."

"I will lead my men there too," Robb declared.

Next morning...

Courtyard, Harrenhal, South-East Riverlands, Westeros

"You should go with Lord Tyrion back to King's Landing," Lord Royce said for the third time as he chased Kenna around the giant courtyard of Harrenhal.

"No," Kenna repeated calmly but Lord Royce could see the anger trembling in her shoulders, "You cannot shunt me aside. I am the Queen over the Mountains. I command the Knights of the Vale."

"Yes, you are Queen and that is exactly the reason why you aren't going to Casterly Rock," Lord Royce responded firmly.

When Kenna didn't stop her fast-paced charge towards the horses Lord Royce landed a heavy hand on her shoulder and spun her to face him.

"Kenna, listen to me! You are my Queen and the Gods know I love you like a daughter so just stay still and listen. You can handle a bow and I'm not saying you would be a liability on the battlefield but you are much more valuable in King's Landing."

"What? Controlling the refugees and citizens? Staying out of harm's way? I'm not something to be protected," Kenna roared.

"But you are!" Lord Royce shouted, losing his normally calm demeanour.

Kenna was momentarily stunned at the outburst and Lord Royce took advantage.

"What if the Night King's influence only extends over Westeros and not to Essos?"

"Do you believe that?"

"I think it is possible and if there is even a slim chance for you to survive then I will make you take that path."

"Yohn, I do not fear death."

"I know but you have children now. Children, I know you want to see grow up. Go to King's Landing with Lord Tyrion. I know it is Robb Starks intention to send Lady Sansa there as well. Let Artys and myself lead the Knights of the Vale."

Kenna took in a few calming breaths then let Lord Royce drag her gently into a soft embrace.

"You have always hated this fact but you don't belong on the battlefield. You lead from a throne, not a horse saddle."

Kenna wrung her hands together, "I will go to King's Landing but not until Lady Sansa arrives with Yohn and Jorge."

"Thank you," Lord Royce mumbled into her wavey brown hair.

An hour later …

Atop the walls of Harrenhal, South-East Riverlands, Westeros

Kenna watched mutely as the multitude of soldiers bearing roses, lions and falcons followed the very real dragons soaring in the skies towards the Westerlands.

"Looks like we have been left alone with the wolves," Tyrion stated, appearing at her hip.

"Ser Davos, Lady Shireen and Robin also elected to return to King's Landing," Kenna informed, "Cersei refused the offer."

Tyrion laughed, "Probably thought she had a better chance of survival with the Night King at Casterly Rock than with you and me in King's Landing."

Kenna smirked; Cersei still had her common sense it seemed.

"King Robb wanted to wait till Lady Sansa arrived before he left for the Rock. She should be here soon according to her latest raven."

"Understandable," Kenna murmured, still gazing at the departing mass of soldiers.

"Lady Sansa doesn't come alone; she brings with her your children and travels with more Children of the Forest."

Kenna closed her eyes at the mention of her children. She hadn't seen them in nearly a year. They probably wouldn't even know who she was.

"How likely do you think it is that the Night King won't be able to cross the Narrow Sea?"

"If all the armies of Westeros and three dragons can't stop him, I'm not sure a stretch of water is going to stop him either.

Kenna nodded in agreement.

"But my father thinks it might be a possibility."

"Really?"

"Yes, he gave me a letter to give to your children and told me to flee with them at the first sign that the Night King was victorious."

Kenna flicked her eyes downwards at the little Lord and Tyrion chuckled at the evident surprise on her face.

"He is a cold bastard and he doesn't give love freely but if you are his blood and not a dwarf that is a good start."

"My children will probably never meet him."

Tyrion noticed her eyes narrowing on the Lannister host, "That might be a good thing, the written word can't convey disappointment the way a father's voice can. Anyway, they will meet me and I can say with absolute certainty I will be their favourite older sibling."

"You don't exactly have any competition," Kenna pointed out before leaving him at the walls.

"I'll take that as a compliment," Tyrion said, watching her make her way back inside the mammoth castle.

Next day later in the evening …

Harrenhal, South-East Riverlands, Westeros

"This one really does have my Father's eyes and facial expressions," Tyrion said while holding Jorge out in front of him. "It's rather unnerving."

"Yohn looks like my father but has all of Alyssa's energy," she said as the mentioned toddler grasped her hand and attempted to pull his mother along.

Tyrion placed Jorge on the ground but the toddler defiantly stood before wobbling his way back to Tyrion to fall at his feet.

"I think he likes you," Kenna smiled, "and Sansa said he normally just stares at people."

"Sansa has been gone a while …" Tyrion noted as Jorge began pointing at his hair.

"Me," the little blond toddler babbled.

"Yes, we have the same hair colour, I wonder why?" Tyrion jested with Jorge who seemed to understand that the man had made a joke because he sat on the floor and gave his big brother an intense stare.

"Worried she is plotting our murders with her siblings and Uncle?" Kenna only half teased as Yohn escaped her grip to charge to the other side of the room only for gravity to pull him to the floor.

"It is a possibility isn't it?" Tyrion said, tearing his gaze from his little brother's challenging green eyes.

"No, they are Starks remember. They aren't like us. Robb will march his army to Casterly Rock to join with the others soon while you, me, Sansa and my children will return to King's Landing and try to keep the city from collapsing in on itself."

"A thankless task," Tyrion puffed out remembering how the people of King's Landing had thanked him for saving them from Stannis at the Battle of Blackwater.

"Still preferable to facing an enemy that can raise the dead."

Tyrion made a positive 'Hmmm' sound but his mind wasn't so sure.

The door creaked open to reveal Sansa.

"My Lady," Tyrion instantly greeted, picking Jorge up while Kenna had finally caught Yohn and was tickling his belly.

Sansa eyed the scene in front of her, children really were the way to people's hearts. The smile that had settled on her lips slipped away as she remembered why she had returned to the room.

"Robb would like a word with you, Kenna."

"To discuss what?"

Sansa's declined to answer but the way her eyes flicked between the two twins made it clear what the King in the North wanted to talk about.

Kenna's entire posture stiffened and she forced herself to place Yohn back down on the ground.

"How?" she said quietly as she walked towards Sansa.

"Arya told him in King's Landing."

Kenna nodded, that explained Robb's avoidance of her the entire time their armies had been marching to Harenhal.

She cast a look back at Tyrion, who now had both twins clinging to his legs trying to keep themselves upright.

"Secrets always have a habit of getting out," she sighed before leaving the room.

Tyrion's inquisitive eyes looked up at Sansa, "Will this be a problem?"

Sansa exhaled as she stepped into the room, "I'm not sure. Robb hasn't taken kindly to the news."

Kenna approached the King in the North's chambers. The Northern guard at the door announced her presence then let her pass.

She walked further into the large chamber and found Robb at the other end standing before a well-built fire. She was grateful he was the only Stark in the room, knowing the topic about to be discussed was one she would rather do only with him.

"Robb?" Kenna said softly as she occupied the space beside him, taking in the heat of the fire with her hands.

"You lied to me."

She flinched at the wounded tone, "I never lied to you Robb. You always assumed Jaime Lannister fathered my children."

"I assumed you were an honourable woman too," Robb remarked in a sharp tone, still refusing to look at Kenna.

Kenna felt an uncomfortable weight settle in her stomach at the way the conversation was going, "Who the father of my children is has no bearing on my promise to you. The Arryns will join the Starks when the time comes to avenge the Red Weddings."

"How can you say that? Your children are Lannister bastards. You are a Lannister."

"I am not a Lannister!" Kenna yelled, "I made a promise to Tywin Lannister to give him heirs. Jaime refused to respect his vow of marriage just like every other fucking vow he has ever taken so I had to-

"You could have left it at Jaime's refusal!"

"I wanted my revenge!" Kenna blurted out, "I couldn't live in a world where Lysa and Littlefinger continued to roam free after murdering my father and sister."

Robb finally turned to Kenna, "And is that what Tywin Lannister gave you that I couldn't? Revenge?"

"How could you? You were too busy falling in love and ruining our chances at taking King's Landing!"

Robb saw red and grabbed her shoulder. Kenna reacted by flexing her fingers and bringing her hidden blades up but Robb's reactions were quick. He grabbed both her wrists and slammed her against the stone wall beside the fire.

"I was a boy that fell in love and I lost my half my family because of it," he shouted but tears were beginning to form in his eyes.

Kenna controlled her breathing as she tried to wiggle her wrists free but his grip was strong, "You should have been a King that upheld his oath."

Robb lowered his head so it was nearly touching her shoulder and she felt dampness start to pool there.

"Don't dwell in the past Robb, no good comes from it," Kenna said, softening her voice and stopping her struggles.

"But I want my revenge too!" Robb roared as his face snapped back to hers.

His cheeks shined with wetness but his eyes burned with fury.

"My Father, Mother, my wife and unborn child are all dead because of Lannisters and I thought you were united with me in wanting their deaths."

"I kept my promise to Tywin Lannister as I will keep my promise to you," Kenna said evenly, aware Robb was on the verge of losing control and still held her wrists down at her sides.

"You said you never lied to me?"

"I haven't."

"Do you love Tywin Lannister?"

"No."

Robb searched her eyes as his tight grip never faltered from her wrists.

"Sansa told me you seemed drawn to him."

"I am."

"Why?"

Kenna squirmed in his firm hold once again before relenting and giving Robb the honest answer, he wanted, "It is nice to be understood."

"What?"

"When you first met me, you thought I was kind and honourable… and sometimes I am but sometimes I can be a cruel monster."

"Kenna-"

"I found my sister beaten, raped, pregnant with her abuser's child and almost catatonic. At that moment I understood that sometimes the only way to protect what you love from your enemies is to be the bigger monster."

"Kenna …"

"I know to a good man like you that seems … like madness but you haven't felt the burning loneliness that comes from being the last of your line. And that is what I am. The Last trueborn Arryn. My family died around me, one by one and I couldn't stop it. My cousins, my Uncle and Aunts, my father, my sister," Kenna sucked in a shaky breath, "My children and Artys are all I have left. I refuse to lose them too."

Her voice broke at her last word and he saw a single tear roll down her cheek. He released her wrists and brought a palm to her cheek to brush away the tear.

Kenna leaned into his touch and let her hands drift at her sides, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about my children. I was afraid."

"Afraid of what?"

"Afraid you would hurt them, that you would abandon the fight against Daenerys Targaryen. I was afraid you would realize I wasn't who you thought I was."

Robb silently pulled Kenna closer so his hands rested at her waist and her head fit in the crook of his neck.

"I do not blame children for the actions of their parents and Queen Daenerys is opposed to an independent North," he spoke over her head. "As for me, I am once again a boy in love."

Kenna pulled away from Robb so she could look into his eyes. There was no hint of deception or hesitation that she could detect.

"Robb … I … the Vale and my children will always come first."

"As the North and my siblings will to me," Robb declared before he dipped his head and claimed her lips.

Kenna didn't return to her chambers that night but the only person left to notice and care was Tyrion and he prayed to all the Gods that Kenna knew what she was doing bedding the Wolf King.

A week later …

On top of the Wall

"Fucking shit!" Edd shouted as he saw the army of the dead start to walk out from beneath the cover of the forest.

"Blow the horn!" Alliser Thorne yelled from beside him.

Edd was still processing the enormity of the blue-eyed army ambling towards them when the horn sounded three times alerting his brothers below what was happening.

A few minutes later the top of the Wall was manned by what was left of the Night's Watch. Barrels were ready to be pushed, archers had their strings taut, and braziers were full of flames.

They needn't have bothered.

An undead giant that was surrounded by a swarm of smaller wights lifted a large horn to its dead lips and blew.

The sound that came out vibrated through the air and seemed to cause the world to shake. It took Edd a few moments to realize that it wasn't the world that was shaking but the Wall.

The Wall started to crack and shatter.

Edd heard Thorne's shouts to retreat to the lift but he couldn't move. He had spotted the Night King down below. The creature was riding a horse and his glowing blue eyes seemed to have frozen Edd in place. The last thing he thought about before he started falling through the air was the lullaby his mother would sing to him as she tried to get him to sleep as a babe.

"Grenn get off me you fucking oaf," Thorne snarled at his First Ranger as they managed to dig themselves out of the snow pile the lift had collapsed into.

Grenn didn't respond but crawled away from the broken lift and the piles of ice and snow that now represented what was left of the Wall.

Throne and a dozen Brothers of the Night's Watch pulled themselves from the carcass of the lift and readied their swords. They could all hear the crunching of snow and the clumsy clanging of metal on metal … or bone.

Throne looked to Grenn, he was about to suggest the lad run and try to take word of the Walls fall but he knew there was no outrunning the army of the dead without a horse. It was better to die fighting like a man than slaughtered in your sleep.

The first wave of wights came over the top of the crumbled Wall but they weren't rushing to the survivors, just carrying on their slow and meandering march.

In fact, the walking skeletons and decomposing corpses ambled around the remaining Brothers as if they were just an obstacle to avoid.

"What the bloody heck?" Grenn ground out not understanding.

"They are leaving us for them," Thorne said, pointing to the top of the ice mound that had been the Wall.

A long line of mounted White Walkers started to descend down the ice hill towards them with wrights streaming either side of the undead horses.

Thorne and Grenn exchanged a look then simultaneously let out a roaring battle cry before charging. If they were going to die, they were going to die fighting.

Four White Walkers dismounted with unbelievable agility and broke from the line advancing down the rubble of the Wall. The icemen sliced through the charging men with ease, requiring only a few swipes to take out their warm-blooded opponents.

Thorne lay on the snow-covered floor, clutching at the bleeding wound on his midriff that experience taught him would be fatal in a few minutes. He turned and saw Grenn get decapitated by a large ice sword. His headless body fell to the floor with his sword in one hand and a burning torch in the other. His head was tossed to the floor by the White Walker that had killed him.

Thorne dragged himself into a sitting position aware that he was now surrounded by the four dismounted White Walkers but he still saw victory … or at least the chance to deny the Night King one more foot soldier.

He grabbed the still-burning torch and hugged it to his body, letting the flames lick over his clothes and warm his cold skin. The White Walkers didn't move, not even when Thorne started to scream in agony. They were content to watch the man before them burn to death.

Author's Notes:

The Long Night is getting closer and I won't spoil all the surprises of what will happen in the battle so please don't expect long tactical discussions of planning before the fighting begins, I'm trying to do the show not tell principle.

Kenna is my main character but I just don't think her presence adds anything to the plot line of the Long Night so she won't be there and there will be things happening in King's Landing that require her attention ;P

Reminder Jorge & Yohn (jnr) are around 2 years old now so can nearly walk and can say simple words. I couldn't resist a scene with them and Tyrion, especially considering they just missed their real father by a few days. I'm cruel sorry xD

Some people probably saw the Kenna/Robb moment coming from a mile off but I tried my best to muddy the waters and put people off the scent. I went for an emotional scene where both Robb and Kenna were feeling vulnerable so I hope I pulled that off! Some readers I know will be disappointed that Robb has fallen 'in love' again but he isn't the same Robb that dropped a war to get married to the pretty foreign girl and then blow off the Freys. He loves Kenna in his own way due to what they have been through together and has for a while now (hence bending to her will a bit) but understands his role as King in the North comes first (learnt from the Red Weddings) and with the knowledge of Kenna's twin's parentage his trust in her is wavering and at an all-time low ... could he maybe even be 'playing' her? ;)

The Wall is down! I repeat, the Wall is down! And just in case you aren't a massive nerd it was the Horn of Joramun or the Horn of Winter that took the Wall down. I like to think that the Night King had the horn all this time but couldn't cross the 'magical' Wall until he 'marked' Bran so there was no point in bringing down the 'physical' Wall.

RIP:

Eddison Tollett/Dolorous Edd (Died when the Wall collapsed)

At least he died with a view …

Grenn (Decapitated by a White Walker in the same style as Waymar Royce was)

I really didn't want to do this as Grenn was one of my favorite characters at the Wall but his time had come. Maybe we could still see him later on …..

Ser Alliser Thorne (Set himself on fire)

I think this guy is just a stubborn mule and if he saw the chance to deny his enemy anything, even just one more foot solider, he would absolutely do that and set himself on fire. Can't say I like this character but I respect the grit he clearly had. Also, irony in a Targaryen loyalist burning to death xD

Reviews:

Supremus85 – Yes, we do. Everyone should probably just watch their backs constantly to be honest! So many casualties, the question is who will survive? *Insert evil laughter*

Ser Dorito of Aisle 13 – Ah my Lord of War has returned! I did pick Casterly Rock for actual strategic reasons which should become clear as the Long Night occurs (showing not telling). Kenna and Tyrion won't be at Casterly Rock, they will be in King's Landing but they will totally be plotting against Daenerys and preparing for the aftermath of the Long Night whether the Night King wins or not.

Guest (commented 1/02/2021) – I think she could have been a very good ruler of Meereen if she had stayed because of the culture there and what she wanted to do but for Westeros no. She just has no roots there and no solid foundation to build from but I guess neither did Aegon when he flew his three dragons over. It's okay to rant, she had one of the best claims to the Throne but that doesn't mean she would be one of the best rulers.

Guest (commented 1/02/2021) – Arya is one of my favorite characters but I get some people can view her as rude lol. Her actions here are because she is loyal to her family and she thinks Robb should know about Kenna's children.

Guest (commented 1/02/2021) – I don't think Robb really cares about who started the war anymore, he cares about what happened to the people he loved. Arya isn't bloodthirsty she just wants to protect her family which means no secrets between them. Arya owes Kenna nothing, unlike Sansa. Robb made major mistakes before and that is why he is a little bit less trusting now and he knows how much Kenna has done for him but he in return has done a lot for her as well.

Guest (commented 1/02/2021) – Yup, but that is why he talks about them because he knows how easily they can be broken because he did so.

NightlyRowenTree – You are most welcome :)

Ksyushangel – I would say so! A lot is about to happen and I'm trying to keep up and pace it out. So just sit back and relax!

Antares Graceford – 'Screw faceless, she's a two-faced bitch' – I laughed a lot at this xD

Shadow Wolf 15846 – Hope you enjoyed it!

David Daniel B – Arya holds no loyalty towards Kenna, unlike Sansa, so she thinks there should be no secrets between Starks as that leads to divides.

Next Up: The Night King descend down Westeros, King's Landing teeters on the verge of civil unrest, and Casterly Rock hosts a Targaryen once again.
