Draco was taken aback, a bit confused as to what she was doing. But not entirely mad about the fact that their bodies were now even closer together and that he could practically see the steam leaving Pansy's ears.
'Pansy, but I am sure Draco has told you all about me,' she retorted.
'Actually, he hasn't mentioned you before, but like I said, it is lovely to meet you.' The look on Pansy's face was absolutely priceless and he had to stop himself from laughing out loud. Instead, Draco just stared at her smugly as she silently seethed.
'So how long have you guys known each other?' Pansy continued, clearly wanting to know more about this girl that she thought had taken the place she used to occupy. For someone who cheated on him, she was mightily pissed off with the idea that he had found someone else and the thought pleases him immensely. That being said Draco don't expect Hermione to continue to play this role all night, so he cringed a bit at her question, waiting for the penny to drop. But it didn't. In fact Hermione did the exact opposite.
'Long enough,' she responded, grabbing his hand and gesturing for him to get off the couch and follow her. Unsure as to what was happening Draco followed her lead. As they rounded the corner of the couch and headed towards the hallway, Hermione turned to the group to speak.
'It was nice meeting everyone. I am so sorry to be rude and drag Draco away, but a girl has needs you know,' she said, winking at Pansy. The boys started wolf whistling as she dragged Draco down the hallway, but he could feel her slow down slightly once she realised that she didn't actually know where she was going.
'Which room is yours?' she whispered in his ear, aware that Pansy was watching them, her jaw surely on the floor.
'Erm, the next right,' Draco responded quietly, still processing what she had just said back there. As they reached his room, she spun around so that her back was against his door. Draco felt her hand begin to trace it's way from his neck down his bare chest, as she pulled herself up to whisper in his ear.
'Kiss me,' she said.
Before he had the chance to react she leant up, grabbed a fistful of his hair and placed her plump lips on his. The feeling was completely overwhelming and his natural male instincts quickly kicked in as he started to kiss her back. He faintly heard Pansy gasp from down the hall and Harry telling her to quit staring, but all he could focus on was the girl in front of him. Draco felt his hands automatically go to wrap around Hermione's waist as she opened the door with her spare hand and they tumbled into his room, Hermione closing the door swiftly behind them.
Once they were in the room, they broke apart, and Draco noticed that his breathing was now slightly laboured. Hermione just casually walked through the room and took a seat on his bed.
'What was that?' Draco heard himself blurting out. She just looked at him and giggled.
'That was me paying my debt for punching you in the face. That was your ex right?' she questioned.
'Well yeah, but how did you know?'
'She just sent out jealous energy as soon as she walked in the room and that Blaise guy had just mentioned that she was coming. I figured she must have done something pretty shitty to you, so I thought you might want to make her feel pretty shitty back,' she explained, still grinning from ear to ear.
'The look on her face was pretty priceless,' Draco smiled. 'I suppose I need to thank you. I honestly wasn't sure what was going on for a second there, I was very, very confused.'
'Yeah I would have given you a break down of my plan, but I could tell you wanted to get out of there and honestly so did I. I am so tired.'
The music from the kitchen lifted in volume, and Draco realised that there was no way Hermione was going to be getting any sleep on that couch tonight. 'Hmm. Sounds like sleeping out there isn't going to work,' she laughed, echoing his own thoughts.
'That's okay, remember I said you could stay in here and I will take the couch. You just happened to fall asleep on it before I could send you in here…,' he smiled back.
'Oh don't be silly. You won't get any sleep out there either. Also if you leave now then you will expose our brilliant plan to make Pansy jealous. Unless you have a reputation for being a quick finisher…' she joked.
Draco felt the heat rising to his face again. Just the thought of what his friends might think they were up to right now was making him feel some type of way.
'I don't mind sharing the bed, if you don't,' she said. 'I trust you.'
'Hmmm… I don't know if I can trust you based on the way that you just jumped on me then,' Draco joked back and she laughed. He then went to his dresser and pulled out the longest shirt he owned for her to wear. The stuff he had gotten earlier was still outside on the coffee table, so this would have to do. He handed it to her and she said thank you before running into the ensuite to get changed. Draco chucked on his only other pair of pyjama pants and climbed into the bed, making sure to leave as much room as possible so that she wouldn't feel uncomfortable when she came out.
What seemed like only seconds later he saw the door open and Hermione walked out in just his shirt, heading to the other side of the bed. Draco took in a deep breath and started to stress as he felt his body involuntarily reacting to the site of her in his clothes. The shirt without a doubt looked much better on her than it ever had on him. He felt her weight hit the bed and noticed that she hadn't made any effort to scoot far over on her side of the bed.
This was going to be a long night he realised, trying his best to think of anything except the beautiful girl that was now in his clothes and in his bed.
Hermione fell asleep instantly, clearly tired from the events of the night. Draco tried not to be a creep but he couldn't help but look over at her whilst she slept. Like earlier, she looked serene and almost younger than what she had when they had first met.
His bodies reaction to her had not diminished, and Draco realised he would probably have to stop looking at her if he wanted that to change. He turned away from her and spent the good part of the next hour thinking of the least attractive things he could imagine, eventually drifting off into sleep.
