Based off this anonymous prompt: Could you write a Drabble where Kensi and Deeks' baby seems to give to every women he encounters the famous baby fever. He's a cutie! Thanks
"Wow, you and Deeks do make ridiculously gorgeous children," Nell said, staring down at the two week old baby in her arms. She brushed her finger over his cheek and then looked up at Kensi with an awed expression. "Did he just smile at me?"
"Oh, Eric better watch out," Deeks teased, coming to stand beside Kensi. He handed her a cup of punch and put his arm around her back.
In lieu of having a baby shower, they'd decided to have a small get together to introduce Baby Deeks to their friends and family. So far, Nell has been monopolizing the guest of honor.
"I don't know what that's supposed to mean," Nell scoffed, pausing to coo at Caleb for a good ten seconds.
"I think you know exactly what I mean." Deeks grinned. "You've got baby fever." He wiggled his eyebrows in Eric's direction.
"Whaaat? No. No, that is not true," Nell said in the most unbelievable voice ever. Not about to miss out on the fun, Kensi said,
"You do have that look in your eye."
"I have no look in my eye," Nell insisted, glancing first to Eric who was looking increasingly distressed and then to Sam, who lifted his beer in a mock salute, and finally, Callen who smirked.
"I can just see the little nerds now," he commented.
"We've never really talked about kids," Eric said nervously while Nell looked torn between tossing Caleb as far as she could and snuggling him up against her shoulder. She settled on cradling him in one arm.
"And that is perfectly fine and it's definitely not a conversation we need to hav now." Ignoring the dangerous not in her voice, Deeks said,
"You say that now, but just wait a few weeks. You have the same look that almost every woman who's held Caleb gets. It's the baby fever."
"Oh my god…"
"Imagine if you have twins," Kensi offered cheerfully, earning a look of betrayal from Nell.
"You're supposed to be on my side, you know," Nell said, now patting Caleb's back.
"Deeks, what if we have twins?" Eric hissed, looking horrified and apparently forgetting that Nell was not in fact pregnant.
"Don't worry, we'll help you out," Sam said reassuringly, trying miserably to hide a smirk.
"The big question is, is it going to be Baby Beale or Baby Jones?" Callen asked.
"Oh definitely baby Jones," Kensi said immediately. Nell let out a groan of frustration as they began bickering over names.
"You guy are the absolute worst," she said, then noticing that Caleb was sleeping peacefully added, "Except for you."
