Chapter 35
Castiel was holding back his fighting skills. He just needed to make sure that Susan was so occupied that she did not know what was about to happen.
"You are losing your Grace Angel. You have too many wounds to heal them all." Susan said with a smirk that made Castiel want to smite her right then and there.
Castiel just pushed on, glancing occasionally to see Hunters as they were leaving the building.
As they fought, he made sure to steer Susan toward the trap Meg was held in. He knew it would not hold Susan but, it would be the center of destruction and it was only fitting that Susan die in the trap she had set.
It was then the ground started to shake, and the building was starting to collapse.
Susan stopped fighting, understanding now dawning on her. She realized the Angel had made good his plan realizing he was only toying with her.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" She yelled at the same time trying to throw herself at the Angel.
But it was too late. A column of light shot up from the floor engulfing the last Leviathan and disintegrating her.
As the warehouse began to implode Castiel fell to his knees and whispered in his mind.
"I love you Meg."
But out loud he said.
"I DON'T LOVE YOU MEG."
As he fell from his knees onto his back, he could feel her fighting against the brake.
He could feel her pain at what he was trying to do. Castiel only hoped that he would be dead and in Purgatory so he could do the penance for what he had done to her.
It was then the column of light came crashing back down, opening the ground taking the warehouse and him with it.
All his strength was gone.
He let darkness take him to his fate.
The Empty.
Purgatory.
Heaven.
He didn't care.
Meg was safe.
