Since this is October and this chapter is the most creepiest episode in Avatar, I thought this would be very fitting to make this chapter this month.

Book Three: Fire

Chapter 8: Bloodbending

In a forested area the group are camping out among the trees in front of their campfire and telling stories with Sokka telling his story.

"Suddenly, they heard something down the hall in the dark. Ooh... It came into the torchlight...and they knew the blade of Wing Fung was haunted! Ooh-aah!" Sokka said while taking out his sword and pointing it at the fire dramatically but the rest are just unamused.

"I think I like the 'the man with the sword for a hand' better." Aang said.

"Water Tribe slumber stories stink." Toph said.

"I could tell a way better scary story." Lucy said.

"Okay, let's hear it, Princess." Jiba said.

"Gladly. I call it 'Curse of the Forbidden Tome'! Once, there was a wise and respectable mage named Abel. He was well known for tomes and magical items. One day, Abel came across a suspicious market and the owner of the market offered an ancient tome of powerful magic. Abel was suspicious about the book at first, but his love for tomes got the better of him, so he bought it without knowing the dangers of what tome has brought. Then when nighttime came, Abel was in his study, still curious about what secrets the tome will give him. Without hesitation, Abel opened the tome and looked into the pages. As he was looking into the texts in the book, a bright red light glowed from within it and Abel couldn't close it, as he kept looking into the texts. Then the dark light from the tome began to take a toll on Abel, as he screamed in agony, as he felt his mind was melting and his sanity being taken from him. His mind twisting and his heart being taken from his body. The tome had corrupted his soul! Now under the tome's power, Abel set out to find his victims to consume their souls to empower the tome's magic. He hides in the shadows, waiting for the opening of his victims to get his opportunity. Finding his first victim, who was wandering through a deep dark forest, like this one, but full of fog, Abel hid himself among the fog and behind a tree, waiting for his moment to strike. When the victim got close to Abel's hiding spot without knowing his presence..." Lucy stops talking as the campfire goes out making Aang, Happy, Wendy, and Sokka nervous while Katara is a little nervous. "...ABEL JUMPS OUT AND CONSUMES THE VICTIM'S SOUL!" Lucy finished in a demonic like tone as lightning flashes in the darkness while Lucy makes a frightening face of a corrupted human making Aang, Sokka, Wendy, and Happy scream in terror while Momo hides behind the Avatar by Lucy's outburst and Lucy begins laughing while Natsu makes another fire. "You should see the looks on your faces! Priceless!" Lucy said still laughing.

"That was some story, Luce." Natsu said.

"I'll say." Gray said.

"You know, ever since you got brought back, you got scary!" Sokka said.

"Oh, you're just jealous because my story was scarier than yours, Ponytail." Lucy said grinning.

"Damn, can't lie, you almost had me a little scared, Princess." Jiba said.

"Curse of the Forbidden Tome. Where'd you even come up with it?" Toph asked.

"I just made it up." Lucy said smirking.

"Um, there's no forbidden tome, is there?" Aang asked.

"It could be possible in our world." Erza said.

"Well, that was a very scary story, Lucy, but I have one that might match it." Katara said.

"Oh, really? Do tell, Katara." Lucy said.

"Well, it's a true Southern Water Tribe story." Katara said.

"Is this one of those 'a friend of my cousin knew some guy that this happened to' stories?" Sokka asked.

"No, it happened to Mom." Katara said making her brother stiff.

"This should be good." Lucy said.

"One winter, when Mom was a little girl, a snowstorm buried the whole village for weeks. A month later, Mom noticed she hadn't seen her friend Nini since the storm. So Mom and some others went to check on Nini's family. When they got there, no one was home. Just a fire flickering in the fireplace. While the men went out to search, Mom stayed in the house. When she was alone, she heard a voice, 'It's so cold and I can't get warm'! Mom turned and saw Nini standing by the fire. She was blue like she was frozen. Mom ran outside for help, but when everyone came back, Nini was gone." Katara explained making Aang use Momo's ears to cover his face while Wendy huddles close to Carla in fear while Sokka hides behind a tree stump while Happy hides beuind Natsu while Lucy continues to listen.

"Where'd your mom's friend go?" Gray asked.

"No one knows. Nini's house stands empty to this day, but sometimes, people see smoke coming up from the chimney, like little Nini is still trying to get warm." Katara said as Aang, Wendy, Sokka, and Toph huddle by the fire.

Just then Toph gasps and places her hand on the ground.

"Wait! Guys, you hear that? I hear people under the mountain. They're screaming." Toph said.

"Lemme feel." Jiba said as he places his hands on the ground. "Hey, I can hear screamin' from under there." Jiba said but Sokka scoffs.

"Nice try." Sokka said.

"We're serious, idiot!" Jiba said.

"We're hearing something." Toph said.

"Hold on." Lucy said using her tome to create a small plant figure and it places itself on the ground. "It's telling me there's screaming from underground." Lucy said.

"Luce is always right." Natsu said.

"You give me too much credit." Lucy said.

"What if it's just another ghost story?" Gray asked.

"It...stopped." Toph said.

"Okay, now I'm scared." Aang said.

"You're supposed to be the Avatar." Lucy said.

"Yeah, but I'm still a kid." Aang said.

"Hello, children." A voice said making Aang, Sokka, Katara, Toph, Jiba, Happy, and Wendy scream in fear.

"Who goes there?!" Erza asked taking out her sword while Natsu gets into his fighting stance while Gray makes an ice sword while Lucy gets her keys, whip, tome, and sword ready and someone emerges but it's an elderly women.

"Oh, sorry to have frighten you. My name is Hama. You shouldn't be out here in the forest at night by yourselves. I have an inn nearby. Why don't you come back there for some spiced tea and warm beds?" Hama offered.

"Yes, please." Sokka said sheepishly.

"How do we know this isn't a trap?" Lucy asked pointing her sword.

"Lucy!" Katara berated.

"My dear, there is no trap. Please, come on over and I promise you'll be more comfortable." Hama said.

"We'll gladly come by." Wendy said and Hama smiles.

"C'mon, Luce, it'll be fine." Natsu said and Lucy sighs.

"Okay, fine." Lucy said putting her sword away.

The group arrive at a village and are now in a local inn atop of a small hill and in the inn the group are in the inn's kitchen while Hama pours tea for the group who are sitting at the kitchen table.

"Thanks for letting us us stay here tonight. You have a lovely inn." Katara said.

"Yes, thank you very much." Erza said.

"You are so kind. You know you should be careful. People have been disappearing in those woods you were camping in." Hama said.

"What do you mean by 'disappearing'?" Gray asked.

"When the moon turns full, people walk in, but don't come out. Who wants more tea?" Hama asked.

"What do you mean by walking into the woods, but never coming out? You mean there's a kidnapping going on or what?" Lucy asked.

"Don't worry about that, dear. As long as you remain here, you'll be safe. Why don't I show you to your rooms and you can get a good night's rest?" Hama offered but Lucy eyes at her in suspicion.

Later the group are in their rooms and Sokka is lying on his bed and rolling over but then he hears a creaking noise from outside making him not sleeping and he has his sword ready while Momo scampers under the covers.

"I know, Momo. This place is creepy. I dunno if I'm gonna fall asleep." Sokka said but falls back asleep while drooling on his pillow.

It's now morning and Sokka is still sleeping but then his door opens revealing Hama as Sokka wakes up and rubbing his eyes.

"Wakey, wakey! Time to go shopping." Hama said smiling.

The group are in the village helping Hama with her shopping and Hama is making a purchase and then leaves while a friendly old man waves at Hama.

"I think that Mr. Yao has a thing for you. Maybe we'll go back and he'll might give us free Komodo sausages." Katara said.

"You would have me use my feminine charms to take advantage of that poor man? I think you and I are going to get along swimmingly." Hama said smiling.

Lucy finds two people and hears their conversation.

"You won't have any ash bananas till next week?" A villager asked.

"Well, I'll have to send the boy to Hing Wa Island to get them and it's a two-day trip." The shop owner said.

"Oh, right the full moon's tomorrow." The villager said.

"Exactly. I can't lose ANOTHER delivery boy in the woods." The shop owner said.

"People are disappearing in the woods and weird stuff is happening during a full moon? Obviously, something is going on." Lucy said.

"Yeah, this reeks of Spirit World shenanigans." Sokka said.

"I bet if we take a walk around town, we'll find out what these people did to the environment to make the spirits mad." Aang said.

"And then you can solve this problem, since you have connections with spirits." Wendy said.

"Helping people is what I do." Aang said.

"What if it's not a spirit?" Lucy asked.

"What do you mean?" Gray asked.

"I mean it might be someone with strange abilities. You already know there's that third-eye freak that blows things up with his mind. What if it's someone like that?" Lucy asked.

"That could be possible. This calls for investigation." Erza said and they find Hama and approach her.

"There you are. Why don't you take all these back to the inn? I just have to run a couple more errands, but I'll be back in a while." Hama said.

"This is a mysterious town you have here." Lucy said.

"Mysterious town for mysterious children." Hama said walking away making Lucy eye at her with even more suspicion

The group return to the inn and begin unpacking groceries.

"That Hama is just too strange for me. She has to know something or she's HIDING something." Lucy said.

"Lucy, that's ridiculous. Hama's a nice woman, who took us in and gave us a place to stay. She kinda reminds me of Gran Gran." Katara said.

"But what did she mean by 'mysterious children'?" Gray asked.

"I dunno, maybe she found us camping in the woods at night? Isn't that mysterious?" Katara asked.

"Screw this! I'm looking around." Lucy said as she goes up a flight of stairs.

"Lucy! Lucy! You can't just snoop around someone's house." Katara said following her.

"Watch me." Lucy said.

"Hama could be home any minute." Aang said.

Lucy goes down the hallway and Katara continues to follow her.

"Lucy, you're gonna get us in trouble and this is plain rude." Katara said but Lucy finds a cupboard and starts pulling it.

"I'm not done looking." Lucy said as she keeps pulling the cupboard making it open revealing wooden puppets held by strings falling toward the group.

"Okay, that's creepy." Happy said.

"So she's got a hobby. There's nothing weird about that." Katara said.

"Lucy, I think we've looked enough. Hama will be back soon." Erza said but Lucy sees a locked door on the ceiling.

"Oh, so I'm supposed to believe she's a sweet innocent puppet loving innkeeper? Why doesn't she have a locked up door?" Lucy asked.

"Probably to keep people like you from looking into her stuff." Katara said.

"Whatever." Lucy said peering into the keyhole into the room and finds what looks like a small chest. "This room's empty except for the chest." Lucy said.

"Maybe it's treasure." Toph said.

"Time for a peek." Lucy said and uses her sword to pick the lock.

"Lucy! You're breaking into a private room." Katara said.

"So? Natsu barges into my damn apartment without my permission all the time." Lucy said.

"I like seeing you." Natsu said.

Lucy unlocks the door and goes into the small room and goes for the chest.

"We shouldn't be doing this." Aang said.

"Aang, shut up." Lucy said as she tries to open the chest. "Ugh, I need a key for this damn thing." Lucy said.

"Hand it over." Toph said and Lucy gives her the chest and Toph uses her meteor bracelet to turn into a small key and puts it into the keyhole and tries to unlock it.

"Guys, I don't know about this..." Wendy said.

"We need to leave this room at once." Erza said.

"Then you leave! Toph, do it!" Lucy said and Toph successfully unlocks the chest and everyone including Katara take a peek at what's in the chest.

"I'll tell you what's inside." A voice said and they see Hama making everyone except Lucy, Toph, Jiba, and Erza stunned and Lucy gives the box back and Hama takes something from the chest and it's a blue whale tooth comb.

"An old comb?" Sokka asked.

"It's my greatest treasure. It's the last thing I own from growing up in the Southern Water Tribe." Hama said shocking Katara and Sokka.

"You're from the Southern Water Tribe?" Katara asked.

"Just like you." Hama said.

"How did you know?" Katara asked.

"I heard you talking around your campfire." Hama said.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Sokka asked.

"I wanted to surprise you. I bought all this food so I could fix you a big Water Tribe dinner. Of course, I couldn't get all the ingredients I need here, but ocean kumquats are a lot like sea prunes if you stew them long enough." Hama said.

"Great..." Aang said disgusted.

"I knew I felt a bond with you right away." Katara said.

"And we knew you were keeping a secret so we're both right." Sokka said.

"Shut up, Sokka. Look, I'm sorry for snooping into your stuff." Lucy said.

"Apology accepted. Now let's get cooking." Hama said.

Later at night Aang, Natsu, and Wendy race from the inn to the barn that's located at the back of the property and Appa, Momo, Happy, and Carla are in the barn and the three enter the barn and Aang throws cabbage into Appa's mouth making Momo chitter in irritation but Appa opens his mouth and release the cabbage for Momo to have while Natsu and Wendy give Happy and Carla fish.

"This is the fish we could find in the market, buddy." Natsu said.

"Thanks, Natsu. You know, I'm glad you're back to being yourself again." Happy said.

"I have Lucy to thank for that. Anyway, we're gonna go eat. Later." Natsu said as he, Wendy, and Aang leave.

"Can't lie, I like him better this way." Carla said.

"Me too." Happy said eating his fish happily.

The group are in Hama's kitchen and are seated at the table where Hama places bowls of soup to them each.

"I'd steer clear of sea prunes." Aang said to the blind twins.

"Aren't they ocean kumquats?" Jiba asked.

"Close enough." Aang said.

"Who wants five flavor soup?" Hama asked and they all raise their hands and Hama situates her hands and makes Waterbending motions to summon a globule of soup and puts them into the bowls making them look at Hama in amazement.

"You're a Waterbender!" Katara said.

"I never thought I'd see another one from the South besides Katara." Lucy said.

"That's because the Fire Nation wiped them all out... I was the last one..." Hama said sadly.

"That's so sad." Wendy said sadly.

"So, how did you end up here?" Sokka asked.

"I was stolen from my home." Hama said.

"When did this happen?" Erza asked.

Flashback:

In the Southern Water Tribe village a younger Hama is walking around the village and approaches her friend who is the younger Kanna.

"It was over sixty years ago when the raids started." Hama said narrating the events.

Hama and Kanna share a laugh together but stop laughing as they see ashen snow falling from the sky and they race to the shores to see five Fire Nation ships approaching and they begin launching fireballs to strike the village while Fire soldiers swarm the village to fight the Waterbenders who try to fight them off.

"They came again and again, each time rounding up more of our Waterbenders and taking them captive." Hama said.

Hama and other Waterbenders use their Waterbending to capsize a Fire Nation vessel.

"We did our best to hold them off, but our numbers dwindled as the raids continued." Hama said.

Water Tribe citizens are being captured by Fire soldiers one by one and Hama continues to try and fight but gets surrounded by soldiers.

"Finally, I too was captured. I was led in chains as the last Waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe." Hama said.

Hama is being escorted by chains to a Fire vessel and as she boards the vessel Hama takes more look at her people and at Kanna who starts to cry as the ship's bow starts to rise and close.

Flashback End.

"That's terrible." Gray said.

"Fire Nation scum!" Natsu said slamming his fist against the table.

"They put us in terrible prisons here in the Fire Nation. I was the only one, who managed to escape." Hama said as Katara comforts her.

"How did you escape and why did you stay in the Fire Nation?" Erza asked.

"I'm sorry. It's too painful to talk anymore." Hama said.

"I understand. Sokka and I lost our mother during a raid." Katara said.

"Oh, you poor dears." Hama said.

"I can't tell you what it means to meet you. It's an honor. You're like a hero." Katara said.

"I never thought I'd meet another Southern Waterbender. I'd like to teach you what I know so you can carry on the Southern tradition while I'm gone." Hama said.

"Yes! Yes! To learn about my heritage, it would mean everything to me." Katara said bowing and they smile at each other.

Later Katara is in her room and she hears a knock.

"Yes?" Katara asked and Lucy comes in. "Oh, hi, Lucy." Katara said.

"Are you sure about this?" Lucy asked.

"About what?" Katara asked.

"About learning from Hama?" Lucy asked.

"What's the harm? She's a very good Waterbender and learning from her could help me even more." Katara said.

"Yeah, she's a great Waterbender and she did hold her own against a Fire Nation raid, but..." Lucy stops talking.

"But what? Are you still suspicious of her?" Katara asked.

"Listen, I know she seems like a kindered-spirit to you, but my guts tells me something is not right about her. I'm not trying to shoot down your happiness or anything, but I'm just worried. You remember Jet, right? He was a charming and nice smooth talker, who hated the Fire Nation, but he was willing to do anything to get rid of them, even costing innocent lives and you were hurt when you found out the truth about him." Lucy said.

"But Hama is nothing like Jet. I doubt she'd want to hurt anyone." Katara said.

"Look, I'm trying to look out for you." Lucy said.

"And I appreciate it, but I still think learning from Hama will help. Look, why don't you come with us tomorrow and learn what she has to offer. You're already a talented Waterbender like me so maybe you can learn something." Katara said.

"I'll come along, but just to see what she's like. And after that, if I'm wrong, I'll say sorry for being suspicious. For now, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, but I'm still trusting my gut." Lucy said.

"Thank you, Lucy." Katara said and Lucy leaves the room.

The next day Katara and Lucy are with Hama and are strolling the outskirts of the village.

"Growing up in the Southern Water Tribe, Waterbenders are totally at home surrounded by snow and ice and seas. As you probably noticed on your travels, that isn't the case wherever you go." Hama said.

"I know. When we were stranded in the desert, I felt like there was almost nothing I could do." Katara said.

"That's why you have to learn to control water wherever it exists." Hama said.

"So, water is everywhere, even not on snow or ice." Lucy said.

"That's right." Hama said.

"I've even used my own sweat for Waterbending." Katara said.

"That's very resourceful, Katara. You're thinking like a true master. Did you know you can pull water out of thin air?" Hama asked as she uses her Waterbending to manipulate water vapor in the air liquefying it and coating it into her fingers creating ice claws. "You've got to keep an open mind. There's water in places you never think about." Hama said throwing her ice claws at a tree and Katara looks in amazement.

"I'll admit, that very creative, but still..." Lucy said in her mind worried.

Meanwhile Aang, Natsu, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Sokka, Toph, and Jiba explore the landscape outside the village trying to uncover signs of any disruption that would anger spirits.

"This has to be the nicest natural setting in the Fire Nation. I don't see anything that would make a spirit mad here." Aang said.

"Maybe the Moon Spirit just decided to become evil." Gray said smirking.

"Hey, the Moon Spirit is a gentle and loving lady! She rules the sky with compassion and...lunar goodness!" Sokka said.

"Calm down, genius. I was joking." Gray said.

Natsu sees a villager walking by.

"Hey! Can you tell us about the spirit that's stealing people?" Natsu asked.

"Only one man has ever saw it and lived and it's Old Man Ding." The villager said.

"Is his last name Dong?" Jiba asked.

"Jiba, shut up." Erza said.

"Where does Old Man Ding live?" Toph asked.

Hama, Katara, and Lucy are now at a field of fire lilies.

"These flowers are beautiful." Katara said.

They're called fire lilies. They only bloom a few weeks a year, but they're my favorite things about living here. Like all plants and living things, they're filled with water." Hama said.

"Oh, we both learned that once in the swamp." Lucy said.

"Yeah, we met a Waterbender in the swamp, who could control vines by bending water inside." Katara said.

"You can take it even further." Hama said as she draws water from the lilies creating a water blade and slices a rock in half.

"I'll admit, that's incredible, but I feel bad about the flowers." Lucy said looking at the now wilted fire lilies.

"Those are just flowers, dear. When you're a Waterbender in a strange land, you do what you must to survive. Tonight, Katara, I'll teach you the ultimate technique of Waterbending. It can only be done during the full moon, when your bending is at its peak." Hama said.

"Isn't that dangerous?" Katara asked.

"People have been disappearing during a full moon." Lucy said.

"Oh, with two master Waterbenders beneath a full moon and this girl's sword and book? I don't think we have anything to worry about." Hama said.

"Yeah, I hope you're right." Lucy said in her mind.

It's now nighttime and Aang, Natsu, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Sokka, Toph, and Jiba find an old man who is boarding up his windows.

"Are you Old Man Ding?" Wendy asked.

"Huh?" The old man asked but he hammers his thumb. "Ugh, dang blame it!" The old man yelled.

"Ha, yep, callin' him Old Man Ding Dong." Jiba said.

"Jiba, just shut it." Gray said.

"What do you want? Can't you see I'm busy? Got a full moon rising. Why do people even call me that? I'm not that old." Old Man Ding said trying to lift a plank but fails to do so. "Well, I'm young at heart." Old Man Ding said as Aang and Natsu pick up his plank. "Not ready to get snatched up by that moon monster." Old Man Ding said.

"That's why we came to ask you." Erza said.

"Did you get a good look at it when it took you?" Sokka asked.

"Didn't see no spirit. Just felt something come over me, like I was possessed. Forced me to walk up that there mountain. I tried to fight it, but I couldn't control my own limbs. It just about had me into a cave up there. Looked at the moon for what I thought would be my last glimpse of light, but then, the sun started rising and I got control of myself again. I just high-tailed it away from the mountain as quick as I could." Old Man Ding explained.

"Why would a spirit want to take people to that mountain?" Aang asked.

"Wait! Jiba, you remember hearing people screaming under the mountain?" Toph asked.

"Hey, yeah. They gotta be still in there!" Jiba said.

"To the mountain!" Natsu said.

The group run up the dark forest and Toph and Jiba place their hands on the ground.

"I can still hear them. They're this way." Toph said as they head for the mountain.

Meanwhile Hama, Katara, and Lucy are in a moonlit forest.

"Can you feel the power the full moon brings?" Hama asked as she breathes deeply and flexing her limbs as veins start bulging out making the two disgusted. "For generations, it has blessed Waterbenders with its glow, allowing us to do incredible things! I've never felt so alive." Hama said.

"What is she talking about?" Lucy asked.

Aang, Natsu, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Sokka, Toph, and Jiba arrive at the mountain and come across a mouth of the cave.

"This is it." Toph said.

"I can't see anything down there." Sokka said.

"Why do you think we have them with us?" Natsu asked.

They go into the dark cave and approach a solid metal door with torches nearby and Toph and Jiba use their Metalbending to break it down and make their way through a tunnel and some take the torches while Natsu uses his Fire magic to light the way and they arrive to find several villagers chained to walls of the cave.

"We're saved!" One of the villagers said and it's a male villager.

Toph and Jiba use their meteor bracelets to unlock the prisoners' shackles.

"I didn't know spirits could make a prison like this." Wendy said.

"Who brought you?" Aang asked.

"It was no spirit." A female prisoner said.

"It was a witch!" A second male prisoner said.

"Witch?" Erza asked.

"What do you mean?" Gray asked.

"She seems like a normal old woman, but she controls people like some dark puppet master." The female villager said.

"Wait!" Natsu said and remembers the puppets in Hama's inn. "That means..." Natsu stops talking.

"Hama!" Erza and Sokka said.

"Yeah, the innkeeper." The first male prisoner said.

"So, Lucy was right." Gray said.

"Of course she was." Natsu said.

"We gotta stop Hama!" Aang said.

"Wendy, Toph, Jiba, and I will release the prisoners. Go!" Erza said and Natsu, Aang, Gray, and Sokka leave.

Back at the forest a cat-owl hoots and flies away and Lucy and Katara are still with Hama.

"What I'm about to show you, I discovered in that wretched Fire Nation prison." Hama said.

Flashback:

Young Hama is in a cell and has a mournful look.

"The guards were always very careful to keep water away from us. They piped in dry air and had us suspended away from the ground. Before giving us any water, they would bind our hands and feet so we wouldn't bend. Any sign of trouble was met with cruel retribution and yet each month, I felt the full moon enriching me with its energy. There had to be something I could do to escape." Hama said narrating the flashback.

Hama sees an elephant-rat going into her cage and eating scraps giving Hama an idea and smiles wickedly.

"I realized that where there is life, there is water. The rats that scurried across the floor of my cage were nothing but skins filled with liquid and I passed years developing the skill that would help my escape." Hama said.

Hama begins bending water in the elephant-rats and making them do what she wants.

"This ability is known as Bloodbending." Hama said scaring Katara while Lucy makes a shocked and horrified expression.

"You mean controlling the water in another person's body and make them do what you want?!" Lucy asked shocked and disgusted.

"That's right. Enforcing your will over another's. Once I mastered the rats, I was ready for the men." Hama said.

A Fire Nation guard is walking through the prison halls but then he feels as if he lost control of his own body and Hama begins using her newfound Bloodbending to make the guard reach for the cell keys and unlocks Hama's cell allowing her to escape.

"During the next full moon, I walked free for the first time in decades. My cell unlocked by the guards assigned to keep me in." Hama said.

Young Hama escapes from her cell and then Bloodbends the same guard to keep him down as she walks unsteadily away from the prison.

Flashback End.

"Once you master the technique, you can control anything or ANYONE." Hama said.

"That sounds awful..." Lucy said.

"To reach inside someone and control them...? I don't know if I want that kind of power." Katara said.

"The choice is not yours to make. This power exists and it's your duty to use the gifts you've been given to win this war. Katara, they tried to wipe us all out, our culture, your mother!" Hama said.

"I know..." Katara said.

"Then you should know what I'm talking about! We're the last two Waterbenders of the Southern Tribe. We have to fight these people whenever we can, wherever they are, with any means necessary!" Hama said.

"It was YOU! It was all YOU! I knew there was something screwy about you the whole damn time!" Lucy yelled.

"You're the one, who's been making people disappear during the full moon!" Katara said.

"They left me in prison to ROT, along with my brothers and sisters. They deserve the same. You must carry on my work." Hama said.

"Got to Hell, you evil hag!" Lucy yelled.

"I'll never use Bloodbending and we won't allow you to keep terrorizing this town!" Katara said but then Lucy and Katara both lose control of their bodies as they're now being Bloodbended by Hama.

"You should have learned to use this technique before turning against me! It's impossible to fight your way out of my grip! I control every muscle and every vein in your bodies!" Hama said still Bloodbending the two girls.

"You...! You're just as horrible, if not MORE evil than Luke!" Lucy yelled but Hama makes them into a submissive state.

"Stop...please...!" Katara said tearfully but Hama keeps them subdued and laughs cruelly.

Just then as Lucy looks at the full moon she has a determined face and several moments later both Lucy and Katara manage to free themselves from Hama's grip shocking the old woman.

"You think you're the only one, who draws power from the moon?" Lucy asked.

"Our bending is more powerful than yours, Hama! It's useless against us!" Katara said.

"How?! This girl is not even a Waterbender!" Hama said.

"Really?" Lucy asked as she pulls a ring of water around her and Katara and they send a stream of water at Hama.

Hama halts the water attack and sends the water back at the two girls but they dodge and they send more water at Hama who takes water from a tree and deflects the water attack and then sends out a pressurizing attack at the girls who manage to block the water attack creating droplets shocking Hama while Lucy smirks and both Lucy and Katara send their wat being Hama to the ground.

"Had enough, you evil bitch?!" Lucy asked.

Hama then sees Aang, Natsu, Sokka, and Gray arriving at the forest and they prepare to fight.

"Game over, Hama!" Gray said creating an ice sword.

"We know what you've been doing!" Sokka said.

"You're outnumbered!" Aang said.

"No... You've outnumbered yourselves!" Hama said standing up.

"The hell does THAT mean?" Natsu asked but then the four begin losing control of their bodies as Hama Bloodbends them. "WHAT THE HELL?!" Natsu asked as Hama sends them at Lucy and Katara.

"Dammit!" Lucy said as she and Katara push the four away from them.

Lucy and Katara bend water from the ground to send their attack at Hama who draws water from a vine to create a water wheel to deflect the attack.

"Katara, Lucy, look out!" Sokka said attacking the two with his sword but Lucy blocks with her own sword.

"Guys, watch out!" Gray said as he's unwillingly attacking with his ice sword.

"It's like our brains have minds of their own!" Sokka said.

"Sokka, will you shut up?!" Gray asked as they keep unwillingly attacking the girls but Lucy and Katara pull up a ring of water to push them away.

"This feels weird." Aang said as he unwillingly attacks the two who use their water to freeze Aang to a nearby tree.

"Sorry, Aang." Katara said.

"It's okay." Aang said.

"Luce, watch out!" Natsu said as he unwillingly attacks Lucy who dodges every attack and then uses water to freeze Natsu to a different tree.

"Stay right there." Lucy said.

"Okay." Natsu said.

Gray and Sokka keep unwillingly attacking the two but Lucy and Katara use their water to freeze Sokka to a tree while Lucy uses her tome to trap Gray in vines.

"Stop using our friends like puppets, bitch!" Lucy yelled.

"Don't hurt your friends, girls, and don't let them hurt each other!" Hama said as she Bloodbends the four again to make Sokka point his sword at Aang while Gray points his ice sword at Natsu.

"NO!" Lucy shouted but then the four stop and they see Hama who is stiff. "What?" Lucy asked and turns to see Katara who is using Bloodbending to hold Hama still.

Katara sends Hama to the ground and they see the captured villagers arriving along with Erza, Wendy, Toph, and Jiba and later Hama is placed with cuffs around her wrists.

"You're going to be locked away forever." The first male villager said.

"My work is done. Congratulations, Katara. You're a Bloodbender!" Hama said laughing wickedly while being escorted away by the villagers.

Katara kneels in distressed and starts crying.

"Katara..." Lucy said comforting Katara.

"Lucy, I'm sorry for not believing you..." Katara said still crying.

"You didn't know what that bitch was until now. I'm just glad we realized this before things ended up worse." Lucy said as the two hug each other while Aang, Natsu, Gray, Sokka, Wendy, and Erza comfort the two girls.
