'Mmmm…this is so good…' Kinzie said after taking another bite of pancakes with syrup, then taking a sip of her coffee. 'This diner will be on my list once hotel's food service will fail…' she added.
'It hasn't failed you, has it?' Shaundi asked while eating her own pancakes.
'Almost.' Kinzie simply said and Shaundi chuckled at her reply while turning to see Ray. He was sitting in front of them and was looking through wide glass windows into the street. His face looked emotionless.
'Ray…' Shaundi began to get his attention. '…are you okay?' she finished.
It took a couple of seconds for Ray to react. 'Huh?' he said like there was simple current of electricity running through his body. '…yeah, I'm fine, girl, no worries…'
'You're sure? You look worried…'
'Totally…' Ray placed his hand on Shaundi's, but quickly removed once he noticed weird look from Kinzie. He cleared his throat feeling awkwardness in the air and took menu to hide his face.
'Anything else, sugar?' waitress walked up to their table upon seeing Ray with menu in his hands.
'Yeah…' Ray was taken aback as his eyes darted from menu to the waitress, his voice shaking a bit. Both Kinzie and Shaundi watched the situation in front of them. Once sharing a look between themselves. 'I'll have a…' Ray was trying to calm down. '…burger…' he finally muttered while looking at waitress. 'She's pretty…' he thought.
'With fries?' she asked while smiling.
Ray looked from her down to menu, then to his female companions, back to the menu and then back at the waitress.
'With…' he replied, waitress took down the order and left their table.
'What is wrong with you?' Kinzie bend down over the table while keeping her head up looking at him, Shaundi leaned back in her seat with her arms crossed, though look of understanding was on her face.
Ray took a deep breath. 'Later…' he said and crossed his arms on the table while burying his face between them.
'But…' Kinzie was persisting, but Shaundi stopped her with a click of her tongue. '…fine…' Kinzie mumbled and began swiping through her phone, occasionally taking sips of her beverage.
Moments later, Ray's burger was delivered to him with a smirk of the same waitress making Ray a bit uncomfortable again.
'I'm okay…' he reassured ladies while finishing his burger with Kinzie snitching his fries from time to time.
They stayed in diner just before noon until they finally made their way to the local clothing shop. It wasn't far from the diner and it wasn't big either, but enough to get some new colours.
Kinzie and Shaundi quickly gathered stuff they wanted to try on and disappeared into changing rooms while Ray slowly walked around the aisles, half of his focus directed to where ladies went. He remembered what Jeff said otherwise he would be dead for good.
He noticed couple of guys hanging around the place though he didn't pay any attention to them although when they walked past him, their conversation caught his ears.
'I'm telling ya…I saw them walking down there…and one of them is her…' one of them spoke.
'Really? The same chick from that TV show…?' the other asked and this time Ray get fully alerted. He saw them entering the changing rooms area and slowly stood up. While walking past the counter with cash register, he pulled out his gun and heard short gasps from the side. He looked up and saw two young workers – man and woman, staring at him. Man was already reaching for the phone. For a moment they stared at each other, Ray was frozen with his gun in the air. Couple of other customers were there as well, one of them holding pair of jeans frozen mid air, the other was on the way to the counter ready to purchase stuff, now she was walking back to put it back.
'Don't…' Ray said casually, like there was no big deal about him holding the gun. 'I'll be quick…' he let her know that she will be able to do her shopping. Then he turned back at the shop clerks. Man had the phone on his ear. 'Cancel the call or you'll have to deal with them yourselves…' Ray said and loaded his gun. His movements made others to gasp louder this time and clerks just gave him quizzed look. 'Trust me…you don't want to deal with them…' Ray said as a matter of fact and man slowly lowered phone while pressing hung up button. 'Good, I'll be right back…' he said and slowly carried on walking to the changing area. After he was out of sight, customers, one after the other, began walking to the counter in order to quickly do their purchase and leave the area.
'Why you didn't call the police?' Female customer who was walking back said with an annoyance in her voice. 'For fuck's sake, he had a gun!' she nearly yelled.
'Well, maybe, that was the first time when someone walking with the gun here, didn't ask for money to steal, for fuck's sake!' Male clerk replied angrily as he was scanning the clothes with his shaky hands.
In a meantime, Ray quietly moved along the changing cabins, keeping his distance from his two targets. He had his gun up and as he walked, a man opened up the curtains of cabin and was about to leave when he saw a gun. He quickly pulled them back.
'This is gonna be a jackpot, bro, and if she's without clothes…' the first guy spoke and Ray frowned.
'Good thing you have your camera, dude…'the other replied.
'Yeah, just imagine how much money we gonna get for photos…people are going crazy for celebrities and their stuff…' he snorted.
'You sick bastard…' Ray thought and quickly hid inside one of the cabins as those two turned around like they felt someone following them. Unfortunately, he entered the cabin where he saw a woman wearing only jeans with naked top. Quickly, she covered her chest with her arms and was about to yell when Ray quickly covered her mouth with his palm. 'Keep quiet…' he warned her and she nodded. He slowly removed his hand and took a closer look. It was the same waitress from the diner.
'Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…' he began to apologise.
'No worries…it's not the first time for me…' she calmly explained.
'You mean…you had moments when someone with gun walked in changing cabin?' Ray chuckled, not believing her words.
She nodded with small smile.
'Maybe, I could make it up to you?' he temporary forgot his mission.
'Maybe…but right now I would like to dress up, if you don't mind…'
'Oh, sure, sure…' he turned around and took a peak through the curtains.
Those two were coming back, evil smirks on their faces. Ray knew it was time to move.
'Thanks for the cover…' he wanted to turn to her when he felt a light kiss on his cheek. He froze for a moment looking at her with shock. She simply grinned. 'I know who you are…' she quickly pushed him out of cabin. 'Go, get 'em…'
'Right…' Ray swiftly left her cabin and stood in a walkway like a cowboy waiting for his rivals.
'Dude, you're in our way…' they came closer to Ray, though he stood still and didn't move a muscle. He hoisted his gun behind his back in a swift move, so others two won't notice it.
'Give me the camera…' Ray said casually.
'Pfff…right, I rather had a gun pointed here…' he pointed his hand behind his head. '…than give you this booty…' the guy with camera said and smirked a dirty grin. His partner had the same facial expression that Ray wanted to punch away. They both began walking past him and when they walked behind him, the camera dude snorted and it was all that Ray needed.
There was a gun pulling sound that made them both stood still as Ray pointed his gun exactly at the spot behind the head.
'Not gonna ask you again, dude…' Ray said, his voice remarkably calm again. 'Camera, now…'
There were customers as well, some of them were leaving their changing rooms when they saw gun pointed out. Couple of them returned to the rooms with a yelp and shrieks as they saw the scene in front. The other guy wanted to take a step, but Ray noticed his movements.
'If you want to run, go ahead, but know this that his brains will be all over the floor…and maybe walls…I'm sure some of him will land on you…' he reloaded the gun by clicking the hammer. '…let's see how loyal you are to your friend…'
'Give him that damn camera…' he whispered to his frozen friend and he just swallowed hard, already regretting his words about pointed gun.
'Ray?' Kinzie from behind him spoke and Ray turned around to see her and Shaundi walking down the aisle. 'What are you doing…?' Shaundi asked.
'Protecting your dignity…' Ray said as he turned back to those two morons. It seemed like they straightened their stance upon hearing their photo shoot targets. 'Camera…now…' Ray nudged his free elbow into his back.
'Fine…take it, just let me live…' he took his hand in his pocket and handed camera to Ray while turning to face him, his friend did the same. Ray tossed the camera to Shaundi, but kept his gun pointed at the guy.
As soon as Shaundi caught the device, she and Kinzie instantly began looking through the photos. 'Oh, damn, I need to get that area waxed…' Kinzie mumbled although most of the photos were Shaundi's.
'Nice angle…I guess it looked better real than in photo…' Shaundi complemented, feeling completely confident about her body, as she walked over Ray with camera in her hands. She handed it to Ray and walked over the two of them. She leaned closed to the guy, who had the gun pointed at. He froze in horror due to being so close to this celebrity.
'I hope you had great time jerking off, jerk…' she whispered in his ear with a smile while looking at his friend with death look that made him hold his breath. '…cause now you won't be able to do that for a long time…' she carried while placing her hand behind his neck, bending him down and using all her power to knee-kick him to the groin. He fell backwards, groaning and clutching his palms over his balls.
Shaundi straightened her stance and smirked. 'What are you waiting for?' she asked his friend. 'A separate invitation?' she mocked and he quickly bend down to help his injured friend stood up. Quickly, they gathered themselves and left the area.
'And what are you doing?' Shaundi asked as she turned around and saw Ray looking at camera.
'Nothing…' Ray got embarrassed. 'What you want me to do with it?' he asked as Shaundi walked him and he thought that she will kick him in the balls too. Before he got any answer, Shaundi took it from him and dropped on the floor, then she took Ray's gun and was about to shoot camera dead. Kinzie came closer them and when she saw what Shaundi was about to do, plugged her ears with fingers. The remaining customers saw it as well and hid back inside the changing rooms. Shaundi pulled the trigger, but nothing came out.
'Why there are no bullets, Ray?' she asked annoyed since she never met a Saint with bullet-less gun.
'Um…no idea…I guess I forgot to reload the gun…'
'Is it safe to come closer-?' Kinzie asked while removing her fingers. 'AH!' she shouted as Shaundi pulled her own gun and made sure that camera was destroyed for sure as well as all the evidence on it. 'Damnit, Shaundi! Really?!' Kinzie yelled.
'What?!' Shaundi asked, while stretching her hands away.
'I wanted to get my photos for my own…' Kinzie began and both Shaundi and Ray looked at her with raised eyebrows. Kinzie seeing this, quickly cleared her throat and took a quick breath. '…research…'
'There was only one…' Ray quickly replied and now both Kinzie and Shaundi looked at him, wide-eyed. Ray quickly realised his mistake while his eyes ran around the place, ignoring both condemning looks from both women. After couple of silent seconds, he broke the silence. 'Are you done with trying out the stuff?' Ray pointed to the clothes. 'Can we leave already?'
Shaundi had her mouth agape while looking at him and closed her eyes shaking her head slightly, she scoffed. Kinzie walked and placed her hand on his shoulder making Ray to jump a little, though her head was no higher than his shoulders. 'We can…joy killer…' she squeezed the muscles she found there, digging her nails into the flesh, making Ray yelp. She released him and walked over Shaundi. Together they walked towards the exit of the changing area, so Ray had to catch up with them.
'You're coming?' Shaundi asked as they turned around.'
'Yeah…' he sighed and slowly walked until he reached the changing room where he was hiding, hoping that she was still there, however the place was empty and Ray signed again.
'Yo, move your ass!' Kinzie yelled while Shaundi turned in surprise. 'What?' she asked. 'I'm not planning to stay a nude model for other perverts…' she said and placed her clothes on the counter though she didn't pick any of them. '…and I'm not carrying them all myself…Ray?!' she yelled.
'I'm here…' he walked up to them and grabbed bags of clothes. Shaundi did the same as a payback and Ray was now carrying even more bags of clothing.
'Are there any dead?' the male clerk carefully asked him as he recognised Ray from the beginning.
'What? No…' Ray was confused at the beginning, but then remember everything. 'Everything's been taken care off…' Ray assured him and left the shop like nothing serious had happened.
Back at the changing area, some customers peeked out through the curtains to look around the main aisle. 'Is it safe to come out?' one of them asked.
Female clerk came in here to check the situation. 'Yes, they're gone…'
'I don't give a shit…' other one asked from the other side. He looked at the remains of destroyed camera. '…I ain't leaving this place until they will close the shop…'
'Sir, you know that you have to leave…'
'Don't tell me what to do, lady… I have my rights…'
'Whatever…rights and shit, my ass…' the female clerk muttered and walked out.
Outside the shop
'That's everything…?' Ray asked as he placed the bags inside the trunk.
Pretty much…' Shaundi walked up to the passenger doors in front and took the handle to open while Ray walked over to the driver's seat. Kinzie was already inside the back of the car.
Once everyone was inside the car, an uncomfortable silence took place between the three of them.
Ray looked over Shaundi, their eyes met and quickly moved away when he turned back and looked over half-pissed Kinzie.
Ray turned the ignition on and car returned to life. 'Ready to come home?' he cleared his throat before speaking out loud.
'Fine by me…' Shaundi said calmly.
Kinzie said nothing, just huffed and remained silent and as Ray was about to step the pedal, police car stopped behind them, keeping its distance. That got both Ray and Shaundi's attention while Kinzie remained unaware of anything having her phone in hand. Ray looked at the windshield mirror inside while Shaundi did the same on the outside mirror on the doors. Then they looked back at each other.
'Thinking the same?' he asked her. Shaundi nodded with a smile.
'Don't want to be the annoying one, but why the hell we're not moving?' Kinzie said without moving her eyes from her phone.
'Look behind, Kinz…' Ray said as he fixed the middle mirror and light up the cigarette while opening the window.
'So…couple of cops picked up the spot to munch some donuts down, so what?' she asked while turning around.
'20 bucks says they won't finish the donuts within the next minute…' Shaundi explained.
'Only 20?' Ray laughed as he took smoke in and then exhaled. 'Why so low, girl?'
'I spend like nearly all my money, Ray…'
'It's not like you will run out of them…' he said and Shaundi gave him a look.
'50 says they stay, counting from now…' Kinzie set the timer on her phone and placed it on the armrest in the middle. Both Ray and Shaundi didn't expect that.
'Make it 100…' Ray quickly said, taking out his valet from his pocket.
Kinzie looked at him with an arched eyebrow, shook her head, muttering 'fine' under her breath and began looking at her own pocket. Shaundi was observing this all time in silence looking over both of them, phone with chronometer on which showed that only 30 seconds left and the cop car behind them.
'500.' Shaundi said and took a half-smoked cigarette from Ray's mouth and took it herself.
'Shaundi!' Kinzie immediately looked up at her while Ray grinned.
'What?' she said while blowing the smoke and looking at Ray. 'I think you have a feeling, something grand is waiting.
Ray nodded, his grin becoming wider. 'That's what I'm talking about, girl!' Ray and Shaundi high fived while Kinzie cursed at them, but looked at her phone. '15 seconds…you're sure…?'
Before Ray was able to reply they heard sirens on and car behind them quickly drove in the traffic.
'I can't believe it…' Kinzie said while following the car with wide eyes, dollars getting squeezed in her hand.
'Hit it Ray!' Shaundi dropped the stub.
'On it!' he stepped the pedal too quickly making Kinzie jerk immediately to the back seat.
'Damn it, Ray!' she yelled, grabbing her fallen phone and fixing her glasses. 'You asshole!' she shouted.
'Oh, quit crying…' Shaundi replied back, holding herself in the seat due to Ray's attempts to keep up with the cops. '…any ideas where they might be possibly going?' she asked.
'Hopefully it's money involved.' Ray dragged his hand over gear stick to shift to increase speed. 'Damn, they're fast…' he clenched the steering wheel harder and changing gears almost every ten seconds.
'Ok, you were right, you won the bet, you have your money, let's just go home…' Kinzie was calm though she took her grip on Shaundi's seat and pull herself closer to them and front.
'Are you kidding? Day isn't over, this is a great chance to get something and find out about this city.' Shaundi argued.
'What's the rush, Kinzie?' Ray asked when he managed to keep a stable distance with the cops. 'Scared someone will take your toys? Don't worry, you will have time to play together…'
'Ray!? You asshole!' Kinzie immediately had a death glare in her eyes.
Shaundi just lower her head down with a giggle and turned to Ray, shaking her head.
'This is the last time I'm going with you in one car, I swear…' she groaned.
'Don't think so…who's gonna take you home after this, hm…?' Ray asked.
Kinzie was about to reply back with bitter but just closed her eyes and tightened her lips instead while leaning back to the seat when Ray had to make a quick turn over the car in front causing Kinzie to basically throw herself to the opposite side of the backseat with a yelp.
'You alright back there?' Ray asked while trying to supress the laughter.
Kinzie didn't sit up and stayed down on the seat and both Ray and Shaundi became concerned until they heard a growl, apparently coming from the back.
'I think it's a yes…' Shaundi said and her words were followed by longer and louder growl.
They were still chasing the cops and couple of turns around the blocks they reached their destination, well mainly cops did. It was a downtown bank currently being under the apparent robbery, other cars of police where already there, you could hear both shooting and alarm inside the building.
Ray parked the car in the safe distance on the other side of the street. They stayed inside for a while.
'Jackpot…' Ray whispered as he lighted up a cigarette while slightly opening the doors.
'Taking your time, huh?' Shaundi scoffed at him.
'Girl, I was trying not to get us killed while chasing cops going God only knows where…I think I deserved some praise, don't you think?'
'You did, jackpot boy…' Shaundi smirked and took Ray's pack of cigarettes and lighted one for her own. Together they observed the bank carefully watching any changes or anyone coming in or out.
None of them noticed when Kinzie got up, her glasses were fallen off, hair looked like she just woke up.
'I didn't know that we were in the portable cinema.' she asked loudly causing both Ray and Shaundi to flinch in their seats. 'Yeah…' she said with sarcasm. '…I'm still here, why don't you bring in popcorn…' she came to sit in the middle, elbows resting on both front seats.
'Oh, Kinzie, I thought you already went back to hotel…' Ray said and turned to see her, Shaundi did the same. Kinzie saw how Ray's facial expression changed from concerned to slightly amused.
'Take a picture, it will last longer…' Kinzie scoffed while Ray kept his eyes on her. She ran hand through har hair making it loose by taking the band off.
'Kinzie…?' this time Shaundi began looking at her with wide eyes. Kinzie didn't say anything and was about to snap, but Shaundi was quicker. 'Your hair…' she began.
'What? What about it?' Kinzie asked annoyed.
'Nothing, just…it looks nice this way…' Shaundi said calmly making Kinzie to calm down as well. 'You should cut it a bit and wear it more like this…' she explained.
Kinzie got lost a bit, there was a slight blush on her face and quickly she cleared her throat, pulled her hair back up and without saying anything dived into her phone.
Ray and Shaundi shared a quick look until they both focused their looks on bank in ambush.
'If we want to get something from there, I think we need to move in now…' Shaundi said while keeping her eyes on target. Ray just turned to her, then his eyes looked back at Kinzie.
'Alright…' he said, there was a snort coming from behind them.
'And with what you gonna rob that bank?' Kinzie teased them on purpose. 'I don't think that Shaundi's gun will be enough for it…' she mumbled lifting her face to them.
Ray shook his head and got off the car, Shaundi did the same although Kinzie stayed inside. Ray walked over the trunk and opened it, Shaundi stood next to him. There were only shopping bags full of clothes and other similar stuff.
'Please, tell me, we have more than that…' Shaundi sounded concerned, not believing that under that pile of brought crap was anything similar to firearms.
Shooting inside the bank became more intense and louder with occasional shouting and screaming.
'Allow me.' Ray's voice sounded confident and while Shaundi wanted to interrupt, he pulled the bags to the side and to the side of the cover lid. Normally, it was the place for a spare tire, but this time…it was an exception.
'Ray, what the…?' Shaundi was speechless, she didn't expect that. Pistols, shotguns, couple of grenades, Tek Zs, Krukovs and other small arms were there.
Ray took Krukov and loaded while turning to Shaundi. 'Ready?'
'Yeah, I guess…' she said while looking over the guns.
'I don't know how clothes are gonna help with robbery, but…' Kinzie finally decided to come to them and stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Ray holding Krukov and then glancing down to trunk. '…what in the name of…?'
'Join the party…' Ray laughed as he saw shock in Kinzie's face while Shaundi picked up Tek Z for herself and reloaded it.
'Ha ha, thank you, but there's no way I'm going to risk my life going there…' Kinzie pointed towards bank and was about to walk back inside the car, but Ray decided not to let go that easy.
'C'mon, Kinz…you lost 500, you don't wanna get it back and even more?' he tried to negotiate with her.
'No, it's not a big deal…' Kinzie replied.
'I have your favourite shotgun…' Ray put down his Krukov and lifted AS3, fully upgraded one, not some kind of shitty quality.
Kinzie eyed both him and the gun, having battle in her mind. Shaundi just stood there, almost impatiently, looking over the entrance, analysing the situation.
'C'mon…' Ray was trying to win Kinzie over his side and even shook the shotgun in front, like a bone to the dog.
'Um, no…' Kinzie denied again ad reached for the handle. Shaundi groaned and Ray took a deep breath before throwing the shotgun back and walking over Kinzie. His last resort to convince her.
Kinzie stopped when she saw Ray coming to her and hugging her around her shoulders. She was small compared to him and just froze, not expecting this kind of gesture. He pulled her closer and leaned his head to hers, his mouth to her ear.
Shaundi stood there, confused, though she was able to see Kinzie's face. It was shocked at first, then suddenly anger was next expression, and Shaundi thought that Ray was telling her something, something bad or…annoying. Anger was soon replaced by frowned face and Kinzie pushed herself from Ray and pushed him aside.
'Give me that damn shotgun.' she gritted through teeth, took off her hoodie having black tank top underneath. Shaundi had to move aside as well when Kinzie angrily picked up shotgun, reloaded and basically took all ammo for it – two belts of bullets going diagonally her torso.
Ray grinned at her as he picked his Krukov again and finished preparing himself too. 'Just one more thing…' he said as he pulled something that looked like…scarfs.
'What for…?' Shaundi asked as she took one, Kinzie asked no questions, wasted no time and tied above her nose, covering her mouth, she was in full rage mode.
'For safety…no purple color…' he added and tied one himself after Shaundi took it from him with questionable look, but obeyed and covered her face too.
'Can we go now and kill all those fuckers?' Kinzie asked impatiently. Ray caught Shaundi's nod and nodded to Kinzie. She took no time and walked in front, Ray and Shaundi behind her.
'What did you say to her?' Shaundi was curious, what possibly changed Kinzie's mind so fast.
'Later…let's focus on how to not to get killed, shall we…?' he said, for a second remembering his conversation with Jeff and about looking out for the woman walking next to him. Shiver ran down his spine when he realised that they were about to enter war zone, actually having no idea what is waiting them inside. 'Ray, you moron…' he thought to himself. 'What are you doing…?' he asked himself mentally. 'Coming out there alive and rich or dead and…dead…' he could feel cold chill running through his body again, so he had to stop for a moment. Shaundi noticed that.
'You okay?' she asked as she stopped as well. Kinzie didn't see them behind, all she was focusing on was in front of her.
'Yeah, I'm fine…' he said. 'Let's go kill some goons…' he forced a smile although Shaundi wasn't convinced to the full. Together they followed Kinzie who was walking like a tank, well more of fast walk rather than slow one like in the park.
Only police cars were standing next to the entrance and no live creature was disturbing them to enter through shattered sliding glass doors. Carefully they entered the lobby, looking around for any possible threat or movement. Further inside the lobby there was a reception desk in the middle with some bullet holes and blood splatters. Surprisingly there were no dead on the floor, probably the staff was able to leave in time as they knew better what was about to happen. Further inside the room there were stairs on opposite side and leading to the upper floor. By the sounds of it the main shooting was focused there.
'Get behind!' Ray shouted and three of them ducked behind the desk as someone walked from the second floor and began shooting on them. Once fire stopped, Ray stood up and fired back at them. Unfortunately, whoever was behind managed to hide as well and Ray stopped, went back to cover and reloaded his gun.
'Who the fuck he is?!' Trio heard male voice from upstairs asking someone.
'The fuck I know…let's get back to Boss…' the other replied and together they ran and shot at the same time until they were gone from sight.
'That was easy…' Shaundi slowly stood up looking around.
'Those weren't cops…' Ray said, checking his ammo supplies.
'Who cares, let's kill them all…' Kinzie was about to explode literally and was about to stood up when Ray grabbed her arm.
'Kinzie, wait…' he tried to calm her down, but she just shook his hand off.
'Fuck you, Ray...' she said in a low tone while swiping wet blood from the desk with her thumb and then applied it under her eyes like a real soldier during the war. '…fuck you…' she whispered and quickly jumped from her spot, then procced upstairs until she was out of sight.
Ray sat motionless against the desk, Shaundi had that confused look again.
'Seriously, what the fuck did you tell her?' she asked, her eyes got smaller.
Ray tried to play off again. 'How do you know that I said something to her?'
'Oh, lucky guess, I guess…' Shaundi said sarcastically. 'You think she will be fine there?'
'I guess…' Ray bit back and Shaundi rolled her eyes.
Together they stood up and slowly walked up to the second floor, still on high alert. Second floor had tellers and behind them was a corridor leading to probably what was the jackpot.
Ray and Shaundi took cover behind the entrance as they heard shouting over shooting.
'C'mon we need to get that money out!' someone yelled.
'I'm trying, but the cops are all over the place!' the other voice responded.
'There must be another exit on the other side of the vault, don't let them escape!' this was the police men shouting over the place as they fought with the robbers.
'I wonder where Kinzie is right now…' Shaundi laughed and Ray smiled.
'God only knows…' he responded and walked into the battlefield taking the cover behind fallen thick table, Shaundi counted and took a right moment to move next to him.
'After you…' Ray said as a gentleman and Shaundi scoffed before she opened fire to both police and the robbers. Ray joined her and together they fought against God knows what.
'What the fuck is this?' they heard someone yelling.
'Looks like someone else joined our party…come on out, assholes!' after that fire was directed towards them.
'I don't think so, my friend, because no one that stupid would walk out in the open!' Ray yelled, not caring what the other side will reply.
'Or maybe it's your first time shooting, jackass?!' Shaundi couldn't help but added more fuel to the fire. Ray just laughed and together they punched a bro fist.
'Who's this bitch?!' the bullied guy replied and opened fire on both them and police, although police had more power in this place, so they had to retreat back further inside.
Ray and Shaundi used this opportunity and took out the police easily as they were experts in this although some of them managed to follow robbers upstairs inside the bank, however this area was clear now, so they looked over for ammo just in case.
'You okay?' Ray asked Shaundi.
'Never better…though we still have some work to do…' she said.
Both of them stood up, checked the area and proceeded upstairs, Shaundi first, Ray behind her. As they walked up, gunshots could be heard again. Before Ray managed to stop Shaundi from rushing into another bloodbath, one of the shooters noticed them coming up and opened fire. Shaundi missed the shot for a split second and Ray was right to jump into covering her.
'Shaundi!' he yelled and before she could react to him, Ray grabbed her and pushed behind himself. Bullet hit his arm.
'Ahhh! You're deadman!' he screamed as the bullet ran through his arm, because of pain he dropped his gun and it rolled down the stairs.
'Motherfucker!' she yelled and opened fire at the attacker. The guy got lead straight to his head and fell out through the broken window. Shaundi had two seconds to duck down the stairs before the wave of bullets were sent to her direction. She got down the stairs, Ray was there sitting against the wall, gripping his wound, blood was running slowly through his fingers.
'How bad is it?' Shaundi asked as she came closer to inspect the wound.
'It could have been worse…' Ray said through clenched teeth. 'Watch next time, will ya?' he said a bit irritated. 'Where's the shithead?' he asked.
'Fell through the window like a ballet dancer, instead his head is full of lead, not shit…' Shaundi said and smiled trying to cheer Ray up. Together they shared a quick laugh.
'Good girl…ahh…' he groaned as Shaundi took wrapped and secured his wound.
Before they could do anything someone came on the to top of the stairs. Ray quickly saw it and took Shaundi's gun to kill the guy before he could attack them.
'Well, I don't think this is far from over…' Shaundi said while looking at twitching dead guy's legs.
'I'm not walking away until this thing is finished…' Ray said and tried to stand up.
'Stay here, I'm getting rid of these guys.' Shaundi said and reloaded her gun.
'You won't stand them alone…' Ray tried to change her mind.
'What other choices do we have?' she asked him and before Ray could answer, a scream came from the upper floor, and it sounded like a battle cry.
'What the f…?' Shaundi carefully crawled up stairs just enough to see what's going on there. Ray managed to follow her, though the pain was visible on his face.
'Back off, the money's ours now!' Kinzie screamed and just appeared out of nowhere. Her clothes were torn in various places, she was still with her shotgun blasting off everyone in her way. She quickly took cover behind one of the columns and reloaded her shotgun.
'I'm taking you all bastards, one by one, whether you like it or not!' she yelled.
'Kill that bitch!' someone yelled.
'I won't have no bitches calling me a bitch, bitch!' Kinzie responded to the threat. She quickly moved out of her cover place opening fire and killing the remaining cops, now it was only between Saints and the robbers, or to be specific Kinzie against the dickheads.
Kinzie hid behind the other column. One of the robbers decided to quietly approach her from the other side, pushing his luck. The moment he walked up to her, Kinzie kicked the gun out of his hands and took him as a human shield, holding shotgun to his head.
'Back off, or I'll fucking blow his brains out!' she threatened the rest of them.
Guns pointed at her, the situation went to a standstill. Three remaining guys began to walk closer to her, forgetting their backs weren't covered.
'Let him go.' one of them said to Kinzie.
'And then what?' Kinzie said pissed. Quickly she shot one of the guys in the leg, he fell screaming in pain. Then pointed back at her shield's head.
'Bitch!' fallen guy screamed at his lungs, gripping his leg. 'Kill her!' he yell.
'Not if we kill you first…' Shaundi came from her cover and stood her ground along with Ray, who was standing firmly aiming his gun with his uninjured arm.
'Shit…' the injured guy mumbled.
'Now…leave the place or there will be problems…' Shaundi said.
Guys stood still aiming their guns between the three of them.
'Fuck this, just shoot them all…' another one said.
'Do as they fucking say…' said the female voice that appeared from the other side of the floor.
'Boss?'
'We lost enough men and that one over there…' she pointed her Krukov at Kinzie. '…is holding you know the hell who…so shut up and do as I say…' her voice became angrier.
'But the money…?'
'Forget the money, let's leave it to them…' she said. 'Now…we leave peacefully and you can do whatever the fuck you want to…' she said looking over Shaundi, Ray and Kinzie. '…let him go…' she said to Kinzie.
Kinzie took a second before she released and pushed the guy towards her direction. They quickly picked up their injured friend and walked out through the same place the female Boss walked in. Before they disappeared she turned around.
'You may have won today, but remember, this ain't over…' she said.
Once they left, Kinzie sat on the floor, shotgun in front of her. Shaundi and Ray stood for a second trying to comprehend what just happened.
'Well, that went well…' Ray said while looking after dead bodies to check if they were dead for real.
'You don't say…' Shaundi responded. 'Kinzie?'
'Yeah?' Kinzie looked up to them as they walked closer to her. It looked like she was in another world.
'You ok?'
'I'm up to kill someone, have any ideas?' she simply asked. Shaundi and Ray just shared a quick look.
'Maybe next time, girl…' Ray said and sat next to her.
'What happened to you?' Kinzie suddenly snapped out as she saw blood on his arm.
'I like to be a volunteer for target shooting…' Ray smiled.
Shaundi walked around the floor. 'Guys, I've found the vault!' she shouted. Kinzie and Ray stood up as they heard her and walked over.
'It looks like the guys did the main job for us…' Ray said as they entered already opened vault.
'Damn right.' Kinzie checked the drawers and shelves. 'Let's get this shit out of here…'
They found some bags and began loading them with paper in peace.
Together they walked through the war zone used to be bank. The place was empty with no people around. Carefully and on alert they walked out to the street and walked over the car. They loaded the trunk with bags.
'Shaundi, you cool with driving?' Ray asked as he walked to the front passenger seat.
'Yeah, no problem, we need to get you to the hospital, man.' she said as she was getting into the driver's seat. 'Kinzie?' she noticed her not moving.
Kinzie was standing, frozen, looking down the bank. 'For a minute I thought there was someone watching us…' she replied slowly moving to sit in the back, her sight focused on the alleyway next to the bank building. Ray looked at the same place.
'You're seeing things I don't see anyone…' he assured her.
'Yeah, we need to move out before more cops gonna show up…' Shaundi brought them back to their current situation.
They all finally got into the car and drove off. They reached hospital, although their welcoming wasn't as expected. Kinzie was again on the rage mode with shotgun in her hands as staff didn't want to let them in and was about to call police as they obviously saw and heard about the bank shooting. As the receptionist was about to dial the number, Kinzie threatened her.
'Don't you dare to press a single button on that fucking phone, or I'll blow your face off your head, you hear me? Now, get me a doctor, he needs some stiches…' she pointed at Ray.
Basically, all members of hospital staff were there to see what was going on.
'And not a word about what just happened here, including us…' Shaundi warned them all with gun in her hands.
'…or we will find you…' Kinzie ended.
'She's right, she can find all of you…' Shaundi added.
Once Ray was fixed up, they were ready to go back to hotel. It was quite late evening and as they were near the hotel, sounds of blasting music could be heard.
'Are you fucking kidding me?' Shaundi said as she drove into underground parking lot.
'Nope…' Ray said, his arm now secured and not bleeding anymore.
'I don't know about you, but I'm heading to shower and probably and possibly going to sleep…' Kinzie said as they got out of the car. 'Oh, and Ray…?' she walked up to him.
'Yeah?' he asked and before he could get any response from her, got punched into the stomach. He grippled his abdomen in groan and crouched a bit.
'Kinzie, what the hell?' Shaundi asked surprised as she opened the trunk. She took her phone out and made a call. 'Yeah, can someone come down to the lot, there's a lot of stuff that needs movin.'
'He knows which hell I'm talking about…' she huffed, took her bags from the trunk and walked past Ray again. 'Thanks for the day out, you moron…' she tapped his injured arm, making him wince at the touch.
'Yeah, anytime…' Ray groaned and leaned against the car watching. 'I doubt you'll be able to sleep though all this noise here…' he said to her.
Couple of Saints came out of the elevator and walked to the car to help Shaundi. Kinzie took their place in the elevator and turned around to face him.
'Then I'll have a shower…and a god damned drink!' she yelled and showed him middle finger before elevator doors closed hiding her from the sight.
'Take those bags to the 7th floor and put them on the couch, I'll take care of it from there…' Shaundi instructed the Saints who carried all the bags.
'You got it.' one of them replied.
'Ray, we need to talk…' Shaundi closed the trunk and walked next to him, then she leaned on the car just like he did. She lighted up a cigarette and took a smoke.
'Do we now?' he asked sarcastically.
'Yes…' she blew smoke out. 'Don't give me that look, you asshole…' she looked at him looking at her. 'What did you do to Kinzie? I haven't seen her going that berserk in all the years I know her…'
Ray let out a sigh and extended his healthy hand to hers. She handed him the smoke and he inhaled it. After blowing it out, he finally grinned.
'Remember that camera in the shop you destroyed?'
'Yeah…'
'Well before you got rid of it I downloaded all the photos to my phone…and there were more than one photo of Kinzie, so I said to her if she won't join us, I'm gonna blackmail her a bit, to be honest I didn't expect her to go that wild…'
Shaundi was looking at him with pissed expression. 'You son of a bitch…' she said and looked like she was about to kick him in the balls. '…give me your phone…right now…'
Ray knew she would fuck him up right here right now, so he handed his phone to her and inhaled the smoke. Shaundi swiped though the photos, then she pulled her phone out, did couple of clicks and gave it back to him.
'I don't give a shit about Kinzie, do whatever you want with her, but don't you dare to have any photos of me, you prick…' she warned him. '…or I'll cut your balls off, got it?' she stood straight and faced him.
'Yeah, I got it…' he inhaled and threw away and was ready to face her whatever she was up to, murder him or keep him alive.
Slowly she moved closer to him, they were face to face and then she moved to his ear.
'Thanks for saving me back there…' she whispered and quickly placed a small peck on his cheek. Ray stood frozen as he didn't expect this from her. Shaundi backed away from him and smirked at him.
'Anytime…' Ray muttered and leaned back as Shaundi walked to the elevator. Once the doors closed Ray sat on the ground and lighted up the cigarette from his pocket, thinking what the hell just happened. He finished smoking and stood up. 'Damn, I need a drink now…' he thought as he made the same way Kinzie and Shaundi did. Straight to the elevator.
