Patchwork Road

Chapter summary: Loki struggles, as others watch.
40. Fighting
A foreign power drags across his boundaries – everything that makes him him – and tears something away, something that is just as foreign, just as intrusive, something that tears itself back from the intruder.
The latter digs itself further into his sense of self, even as the former seeks to pry it off, and Loki cannot help the reverberation that burns his throat with the scream he cannot hear. He wants them both out and he wants it now – he needs it now, before he is driven insane for the second time.
So he renews his struggles, now inwardly, and pushes.
